I had a deluxe room, which was spacious and comfortable with a balcony that overlooked the beach.

stayed here with the family its a so so hotel very close to the beach and has a big swimming pool.

Its about 1 km from hotel, drive along the beach road to this market.

The positive is the location is close to the beach.

but with a fantastic ocean view just on the beach facing the famous Mermaid.

Highly recommended for a beach /town break as long as you get the room at a sale price.

You can walk to the beach closely and can see a mermaid statue easily.

This is truly a beachfront hotel where you just need to step out of the hotel, walk for one minute and you are already at the beach!

Very easy to find halal seafood restaurants along the beach.

But still verry clean and a fantastic service.

but no safe for valuables, and again a little rundown but clean and tidy, and the balcony faced the sea with amazing sunrises and sunsets.

Top floor ocean facing rooms are OK, bathrooms are large and clean, quite modern.

Most important the hotel is clean and their Pad Thai I ordered from room service was amazing!

Its furniture and facilities are quite old

but this 3rd one was more a camping furniture than a real bed.

Furniture is frayed/torn or straight out broken.

As mentioned in other reviews, the Golden Mermaid statue is right smack in front of this hotel.

First, the best points:  the hotel is located on beautiful Samila beach and we had a wonderful balcony looking directly out over the mermaid and the sea.

Best advantages is location with view of gulf of Thailand.be careful about naughty monkeys from Nearby Tang Kuan Hill.it's ok for quietness and natural lovers who need rest.

Overall, would I go back, yes because the location and staff made it good.

This is the only hotel located by the sea in Songkhla city.

For dinner we drove out to the heart of Songkhla town which was only about 7-8 minutes' drive which isn't far at all if you have a car at your disposal, Overall, it was a great one night stay in BP Samilla Resort, mainly because of its superb location.

Overlooking Songkhla's famous mermaid statue on the beach, with views of Cat and Rat Islands just off the coast, this hotel's great location is enough to overcome some of the small niggles we found on our week-long stay.

Also, the price of 1,500 Baht per night including breakfast seemed reasonable and there is a Cafe Amazon located almost next door where you can get a very good cup of coffee.

There are many seafood restaurants near the hotel so choose wisely.

The lobby is just beautiful and having a nice meal in the adjacent restaurant gives you a beautiful view of the cat and mouse islands as well as the famous mermaid statue.

We ate breakfast and lunch there and the meals were always good and again service was great from smiling staff.

The choice of food was "ok"; tea was refilled only with hot water, the 3 Lipton bags in the commune kettle catering for hundreds.

I was said that this restaurant was the best in Songhkla city.

Breakfast provides several kinds of food, and the taste is ok.

Breakfast was included downstairs, which had views overlooking the beach and with a mixture of local and western food.

They had a live band, good finger food and beer.

Well, is it still ok if you are food hunter.

I ate out locally on the first evening and tried the restaurant food the next.

Walking distance to market and eating places.

You have direct access to the beach through a hidden back door, and local restaurants by the beach are in walking distance.

We could hear the sound of the sea and for these reasons alone, we enjoyed our stay.

Our room had an amazing view of the ocean and was so relaxing to just sit there listening to the waves.

but few people swam (in full clothes) in the sea.

Deluxe Sea View is recommended if you are looking for the best view.

The view outside the balcony is beautiful.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful view and easy access to Songklha by a walk, taxi, or tuk tuk.

WiFi access in the room didn’t work, bandwidth in the lobby quite low and connection not stable.

Plus the phones have been down all week and internet in non-existent.

WiFi intermittent at best and swimming pool out of use , avoid at all cost , not worth 1 star .

But no functional internet, only in the hotel lobby, not in the Rooms..

However our allocated room was out of the range of Wifi.

The thing I don't like is how slow and bad the internet connection is!

In the rooms, our devices never once connected, and despite mentioning this on day 1 and 2, this remained the case until the end of our stay.

The beds are really comfy, the bathrooms are spacious and clean.

The room was so clean, the bed was very comfortable & pillows too !

The bed was "huge" and comfortable along with a lounger and desk.

The staff were friendly and despite the slight confusion of an extra bed, they quickly accommodated us.

This hotel is quite new, the room is clean & the bed is really comfortable.

Rooms are spacious, very nicely designed and furnished with comfortable beds.

Superbly designed and with plenty of space , comfy beds , 4 pillows , large wall mounted TV , cooking hob , microwave, kettle ,coffee maker and a fridge .

Rooms are very big and clean with a refrigerator, kitchenette, cooking plates, espresso coffee machine,micro wave.

Being brand new , the hotel is in pristine condition and the rooms are truly excellent .

And if you are willing to wait a while, there's a complimentary shuttle to Songkla Town by their own vintage car,saving you some Baht.

The new Montana hotel in Songkhla has many things going for it: great location, extremely helpful reception staff, generous breakfast servings, well-designed rooms.

The breakfast is fairly minimal with a choice of 3 set styles of meal plus toast.

Everything works beautifully and is tastefully decorated .

but when the doors were shut we could hardly hear any music.

There is one downside to staying and that is the next door café/night club which has a band on each evening and the noise unfortunately cannot be ignored - that said it faded into the background and certainly did not prevent us from sleeping.

but as the bar next door fills up, that becomes limited as well.

The downside is the restaurant bar next door which blasts music until 11 pm to midnight.

However, out of the 3 nights 2 of them had the dog in the restaurant next door barking and howling all night long so not much sleep.

but more fresh fruit would have been nice.

The breakfast offering is modest and there are no options for vegetarians apart from toast and fruit.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant at the back of the hotel and offers a breakfast menu to choose from along with toast , fruit etc .

The room itself was large and well appointed with a microwave, kettle and coffee machine.

The room is very big and the wifi works well.

There is Irish bar with live band until midnight just besides hotel, so if you are sensitive to noise, this hotel definitely not good for u.

I am sensitive to noise, and frankly it did not bother me, i slept very well before midnight, so.

With the balcony door closed, the noise was not too annoying for me,

Great hotel, very nice and modern, good location, food down the road at the Buzzstop Irish bar, so what do they do, put a band outside your room till midnight every night, if you’re on business don’t expect any sleep here, you can’t hear yourself think.

The hotel reception did a great job to take us to beach where Golden Mermaid Statue is located & also seafood restaurant with their luxury shuttle for FOC

The best thing is the free open-air shuttle that transports guests to places of interest around Muang Songkhla; taxi service to Hat Yai airport is also provided for guests at a decent price.

You'd have to have been in Beethoven's closing years of total deafness to have gotten any sleep.

Really friendly and helpful staff at all times of the day.

but only on Saturdays -- so very helpful.

Employees are VERY friendly and helpful and speak English sufficient.

it takes only 5mins walk to samila beach.

10 minutes walk to the beach on the left side and the right side is the old town.

Beach also nearby, 20 minutes walking distance.

but the bathroom wasn’t very clean and the shower a bit clumsy.

In general the accommodation was great clean tidy the staff even asissts us to change rooms due to the first accom ac was so noisy.

Had a nice clean bath as the showers were adequate.

This hotel is clean and have wonderful outlook, very good for photography.

This hotel is the best for me ,so far, in terms of location, cleanliness, and confortable bed.

The location was good especially for visiting the Old Town.

But it’s close to street food market where I found Halal food aplenty.

If you  are there on a Sunday don't miss morning market which is 5 minutes from the hotel, turn right out of hotel and then right again on first major street.

but you can get free (and good) coffee in the restaurant downstairs, 24 hours per day.

the hotel is in the centre of songkhla with lots of convenient stores and street food right in front.

Night market is Friday-Saturday from 6pm until about 10 - lots of cheap clothes, food and entertainment.

There is plenty of food you can buy just down the street and very cheap.

Location was not hard to find convenient accross are a few convenience stores a few restaurant.

Kinda overdid on the food takeaways as it’s cheap and tastes great too.

They also have a large selection of Thai food for breakfast.

This hotel surround by 24 hours convenience shop, KFC and a lot of restaurant.

Beach which is fantastic,and plenty of places to eat and drink.

We got a free upgrade to a large suite room upon check-in.

We reach there before a noontime and we got the room immediately the best part was we got an upgrade to a Suite  a room that has a separate living room and bedroom.

After two nights in the Green World Palace for a midweek business trip, it is fair to say this hotel is good value. BUT.

I have spent several business related trips staying at this hotel.

Breakfasts were ok. Ok place to stay as I was on business.

I travel mainly for business varying from one night to one week at a time.

The location suited us fine, a short walk to the lake, with fishing boats, and to get to the "business" part of town, or the mermaid on the beach, I think you could walk in about half an hour,

Price reasonable for those facilities, including swimming pool.

Rooms, service and pool are excellent, especially for that price.

We had a couple of swims in the 5th floor pool.

however it is pretty average and bordering to poor as a hotel.

Reading other reviews you cannot expect the Ritz when you are paying Baht 1200.

The standard rooms don't come with tea and coffee making facilities, just the tea and coffee!

The staff spoke excellent English and had some ideas where to eat and where to go (which I already knew as I come regularly here).

This hotel provides Thai food serve at room.

Three of us had dinner in the restaurant with a few beers and the bill was THB1000.

Breakfast buffet is goid and has variety of choices from noodles to fruit and omelette station.

I normally stay for one night only so I prefer a downtown hotel, close to the restaurants and away from the main road.

As for the food, I've had mostly decent meals here.

While the staff was friendly enough the food service was severely lacking.

I was living on second floor and the room was quite big and clean.

Generally was O.K room was nice view with SONGKHLA LAKE  and center of city.

Room was big and clean with separate living area with sofa.

Rooms are ok if you get lucky to stay at the second floor.

Service in the dining room was disinterested.

I chose a Junior Suite, which is just a larger room with a sofa set.

They have two types of rooms that i have stayed in - the superior room and junior suites.

but the renovated rooms are nice an clean.

New carpet and paint in rooms and retiled bathrooms.

but I've just spent a night in one of the "Mini Superior" rooms and its really new and well appointed.

We had a standard room, 307, which you got to via the lift (there are 2) or the spiral staircase.

but as I say I have not experienced the non-refurbished rooms.

Some rooms at the GWH are actually nice and clean.

Our first room was #624 and it was filthy.

Breakfast options are very limited and the staff seems slow.

Wireless connection was slow to the point of being unusable.

I will never come to Songkla again..boring dead town nothing much to offer.The people here are mentally slow.

restaurant smells of years of cigarette smoking.

It also appears that smoking is permitted in all the rooms, or at least not prevented.

Upon closer inspection, the plug had apparently been pushed into the drain along with many cigarette

Good views of the lake and easy enough to get to the beach or where ever you want to go.
