Good breakfast, Every day fresh fruit in the room.

Also, the price of 1,500 Baht per night including breakfast seemed reasonable and there is a Cafe Amazon located almost next door where you can get a very good cup of coffee.

We ate breakfast and lunch there and the meals were always good and again service was great from smiling staff.

Breakfast provides several kinds of food, and the taste is ok.

Breakfast was included downstairs, which had views overlooking the beach and with a mixture of local and western food.

The morning breakfast was again better than what I had expected it to be.

The breakfast buffet is mediocre, and the pool and the fitness room are since years under construction … no end in sight.

Its furniture and facilities are quite old

but this 3rd one was more a camping furniture than a real bed.

Furniture is frayed/torn or straight out broken.

As mentioned in other reviews, the Golden Mermaid statue is right smack in front of this hotel.

WiFi access in the room didn’t work, bandwidth in the lobby quite low and connection not stable.

Plus the phones have been down all week and internet in non-existent.

WiFi intermittent at best and swimming pool out of use , avoid at all cost , not worth 1 star .

But no functional internet, only in the hotel lobby, not in the Rooms..

However our allocated room was out of the range of Wifi.

The thing I don't like is how slow and bad the internet connection is!

In the rooms, our devices never once connected, and despite mentioning this on day 1 and 2, this remained the case until the end of our stay.

it takes only 5mins walk to samila beach.

10 minutes walk to the beach on the left side and the right side is the old town.

Beach also nearby, 20 minutes walking distance.

Had the hotel breakfast one morning (Baht200 per head)

There was free water, and you could get coffee in the breakfast room downstairs 24 hours for free.

We read many good reviews about their breakfast so decided to purchase straight away upon check in

We didn’t have to go very far to get delicious muslim food in this area.

but breakfast area is very beautiful and charges is affordable(around 100bath per person).

They also have a large selection of Thai food for breakfast.

But it’s close to street food market where I found Halal food aplenty.

If you  are there on a Sunday don't miss morning market which is 5 minutes from the hotel, turn right out of hotel and then right again on first major street.

Located in a busy street with many restaurants and local street food.

The included breakfast was good, with a nice selection of Thai food.

Rooms are clean and very spacious with a nice balcony that has partial views of the Gulf if you are on the upper floors.

So we got sausages and ham from breakfast as vegetarians 🙃

They made our 3-night stay so special- they laid out the most amazing breakfast, brought sweet treats up to our room, offered a free mini bar, and the most amazing service!!

You can choose your breakfast with staff.

The Tae Raek Antique Hotel has a beautiful oriental antique interior.

The interior decorations and antique furniture looked precious and felt sentimental.

I am truely impress with many many of Chinese Antique collections of the hotel owners.

Close to the lake side restaurants in the old town and 2 km from the beach.

Lovely chinese style boutique hotel on the edge of the old town.

If you visit Songkhla city, particularly the old town area, I would recommend that you spend some nights here.

While walking around the old town, we stumbled across this grand hotel and were curious, so we went in.
