I did not take advantage of their beach shuttle - so it felt like a crime to be charged a resort fee here.

Unmatched Service from the Hotel to the Beach Club!

The beach club is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, and sea.

The food at Dinner at the Beach Club restaurant was awesome.

Exceptional service from David at the beach club valet.. Niko and Brandon at the front desk gave a warm welcome and service.. and Mark is always great at the lounge when we are there .

Grounds are very nice and the beach club only accessible via a shuttle service is outstanding.

Tyrese and David at the beach club took care of us the entire time.

Check in was smooth and he even held our bags for us so that we could immediately jump on the shuttle to go to the beach club.

Luke B provided excellent customer service at The Beach Club.

Great service by the Boucher Brothers, especially Sam - he helped set up our Day Beds at the Beach Club both days we were there and the service was exemplary: friendly, timely, and diligent.

Beach shuttle left each hour to Ritz Beach Club which had outstanding beach service, games & food.

The beach was clean and gorgeous! ☀️🌊⛱️🏖️🏝️😀

At the beach club, we also met Taylor and Jane who engaged in a warm and friendly manner, and made sure that a personal touch was waiting for us on our last night back at the hotel.

In addition, the beach club , one of the main reasons for booking , remained closed all week a big loss to the hotel experience and yet no adjustment to the resort fee never mind the thought of a complimentary drink as a gesture of goodwill.

The only bright spot was the service on the actual beach.

The club and the beach were both quiet and lovely mid-week, likely 'off season'.

The club level concierge and staff were so helpful and friendly, and the food offerings were yummy!

We stayed 4 nights on Club Level with incredible offerings from the Chef throughout each day.

We had three rooms, club level, will move on next year.

The real gem of this hotel is the beach club on nearby Lido Beach.

Glen at the beach club went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of daily.

Special shout out to Glenn at the beach club, for going above and beyond to make sure we were setup for a blissful day by the sea.

I booked a “Marina View King”, as arranged through using the Marriott Ambassador line, which I received.

but the hotel overlooks the entrance to a marina and it's quite scenic.

The staff couldn't have been nicer, the beach club is beautiful, shuttle is great (and also stops at St Almand's Circle) and our marina view was perfect.

We were on a upgraded marina view suite ,

Del Mar and Anthony gave us  service beyond expectations.

We had a "Marina View" king room which overlooked the busy driveway of the property while offering partially obstructed views of the bay and marina.

Our rooms were upgraded and we stayed on the highest floor, 9th, with Marina views.

Get the Marina View room for a romantic view.

We had a beautiful marina view on the 5th floor with amazing views of the sunset and property.

Make sure to get a room with a marina view and make sure to get the daybed when you visit the beach club.

We arrived early and to our surprise we were able to immediately check into our room which had a lovely view of the marina.

We also had a couple of enjoyable dinners at Jack Dusty's, located off the lobby and overlooking the marina.

We booked through AMEX and were very grateful to get upgraded to a Marina view.

The menu there is limited so I was glad we had a big lunch at Columbia before checking in .. 
the view of marina was good and our room was ok it was dated and not any different than a regular hotel .

This was our second stay here (10 nights) and as titanium elite members were given a nice marina view upgrade.

We checked into the Ritz Carlton the next day with our two children (under 13) and to my surprise the marina view was available (worth it!).

Marina pool was mayhem with families with young children.

The hotel restaurant was nice on the marina with a huge outdoor patio for dining.

This theme seemed to run through the stay, from A LOT of back and forth to accept a food delivery, to the $25 that they wanted to have a fridge or microwave in the suite (EACH), to the $65+ day resort fee and 40+ valet fee.

On checkout , without any notice during booking or during our stay we were charged 55 dollars resort fee per day which we were informed was for towels and wifi. Ridiculous!

but at an additional price of $350 a day.

Paid 160.00 each for breakfast and the Bloody Mary was extra!

We were not handed the Fine Hotels and Resorts benefits sheet, not at check in or at any time during out stay, so we missed out on additional benefits we could have used, such as a $25 resort credit, complimentary breakfast, we went over our limits because we didn't know the total cost per day.

The room needed updating- the bed board and frame were clearly damaged and scratched - I’ve seen far better rooms in much cheaper hotels….the sheets or bed, I couldn’t tell, smelled like male sweat, a locker room and the sheets were on their last legs.

The service has gone down hill at the beach club while the price has increased (even more).

Super annoying and frustrating situation for a hotel that cost us $1700+ per night.

There is substantial construction adjacent to this side of the marina facing rooms (which are priced higher).

but I would say it was very expensive for a room only deal.

but the food was of a very ordinary standard – I would far prefer to pay more for better quality.

There was nothing exceptional for the Ritz prices!

But no they still fully charge you the resort fee.

It is very expensive to add this service to your stay and at this particular Ritz it is absolutely not worth the extra money!!

"Daily" valet parking fee is unreasonable when your vehicle is not moved for 3 days.

I do think for this specific ritz it is overpriced for what it is

but they were not discreet, shouting at the man quite loudly.

A lack of management involvement was evident with not one manager visible throughout our stay even when we reported a drone on our balcony first thing in the morning and can be seen in the standard generic responses to specific and reasonable customer feedback.

During the daytime to the east there was extremely loud noise from the adjacent construction of a new Ritz Residence tower, and very loud exhaust noise from three huge exhaust fans over the ballroom area 24/7.

It’s literally shaking the walls and the hotel staff sees no issue with it.

but all of the nearby building construction noise is somewhat of a distraction.

Ours was unusable due to the non stop noise.

I can honestly do without a battle with some hostess to get a table for 20 minutes in a quiet restaurant where I am paying £5000 for 5 nights!

but there was limited areas to go with them due to the traffic and construction within the surrounding area.

The executive floors are occupied with herds of unaccompanied minors who go and set up in the lounge (the executive lounge…) rooms are very small, you can hear your neighbors use the bathroom (you can hear conversations clearly as the walls are paper thin).

Ignore the complaints about construction noise and inconvenience.

They always seemed to be in our hallway - banging doors, with a vacuum running, etc.

We couldn't get a good nights sleep as nightly around 10-12PM there was a constant sound of chairs/tables being dragged on a floor. Starting at 5AM there was a pounding noise (construction?)

The doors here are heavy and really makes a loud noise.

The smell from the dead fish on the beach from the red tide was overwhelming and caused my wife and I constant coughing.

The noise at night resulted in three nights loss of sleep.

Made reservations for dinner in the hotel then they find out that after they tell you a time they didn’t have it.

We were able to walk to several restaurants.

Had dinner at Tsunami, Colombia, Jack Dusty’s and Classico.

Jack Dusty’s was great for dinner and even served my favorite Merry Edwards sav blanc!

Food was great, room was clean and tidy (minus some crumbs on the balcony carpet which attracted the birds).

Feeling Yachty cocktail is very refreshing!

Flawless service from check in to the restaurant to the beach.

Valet staff is on top of the game; housekeeping and food staff are also top notch.

While the atmosphere at Jack Dusty's (the in-house restaurant) is great, the food is mediocre.

However I wouldn’t recommend it , the restaurant jack dusty has good food and a great drink the Siren.

From Joe greeting us at the front door to Jorge's amazing being at breakfast service, JoJo, warm plesant personality to Sammies amazing service at dinner and  their team.

- Amy who supported generous in-advance logistics for our not so small crew
- Chrys and those who warmly welcomed us every day from start to finish at the residence reception area 
- David and others with their smiles and greetings as we dashed to / from the beach
- the pool and beach crew who met us at the first step onto the patio or sand, guiding us to a friend-circle, pool and ocean side, and the loveliest tending in any moment: G, De Mar, Jesus, Tash and Olaf
- Brooke and James = convo over Midwest origins or giving us the local lowdown of Red Tide 

We took shuttles into town for dinner in the eve, Fri and Sun eve - lovely humans guiding that too!

The food at there essentially the only restaurant was also good.

We have stayed club level before at other Ritz’s and had amazing service, food and drinks, this time was very disappointing!

Wasn’t very happy with the hotel at all service was terrible.

I especially want to thank Jane and Jacob from the beach club, Demetrius from the check-in, Joe and John from the valet for their excellent service and hospitality.

I am impressed with the entire team at this resort and their attention to customer service.

As always with Ritz Carlton, service and staff are impeccable.

Truly a great experience and impeccable service - we stayed in a room on the club level which was wonderful !

It’s a alright hotel rooms are clean decent service

We were very unhappy with the staff service!!

These guys (especially Sam) know the meaning of the word 'hospitality' and their commitment to service reflects that understanding.

but Topher engaged us with the history of Jack Dusty, and impressed us with top-notch service.

The hotel culture seems to be on charging and indeed overcharging as much as possible instead of concentrating on delivering warm friendly and honest customer service.

I’ve stayed at 3-star hotels with better service.

After complaining manager apologized, promised better service, and offered a round of drinks.

Our room was made up the following two days and turn over service was offered,

The hotel also has a spa, a fitness center, and a golf course for guests to enjoy.

Wasn’t allowed to use inside spa after massage.

The massage therapist was very good as well.

We splurged on this resort and a day at the spa.

The hotel has a great gift shop, spa, and club lounge.

to the amazing massage at the spa (Adriana you truly have healing hands from heaven) to the restaurant and the receptionist, the staff truly is 150% Ritz Carlton.

Valet – fast and kind
Hotel property has a boat dock; we were boating and could drive up to the hotel through the channel and pick people up without water current or waves

The bathrooms were spacious as well with nice spa toiletries.

Side note—we went to the University Town Center mall and got a foot/back massage with no appointment and it was awesome !!!

In addition, the spa's healing waters room is simply amazing and worth the experience.

Like many resort gyms it's right near the spa.

At the spa, I had paid extra for a muscle recovery massage,

PROS: 
-	True to RC’s legendary reputation, the ladies and gentlemen across the entire resort (housekeeping, spa, restaurant, beach club, etc) consistently outdid themselves with their stellar service!

SPA services and are were also outstanding.

Check in was pleasant, except we were told that the spa was only open for massage and pedicures,

Rarely do we both receive wonderful massages in a couples massage

Everyone we dealt with were warm and accommodating.

Javier greeted us from our arrival and kept us informed throughout our stay.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional.

In particular, Juan at the Front Desk went out of his way to be helpful and ensure that my stay was very memorable!

but at this hotel it’s all about the staff.

He was attentive, polite and just overall super nice and welcoming.

The lady said she sent the security team up and that the guy would turn off his TV.

Staff as a whole were lovely, friendly and helpful.

Those guys were the best and redeemed the lackluster experience everywhere else.

Curtis, the bell man was super friendly and helpful.

We did venture over to the Beach Club three of the five days we were here, and it was absolutely lovely.

Willie at the beach club was super sweet, Gabriel at pool.

At the Beach Club, the service was fantastic.

Overall, the beach club makes this Ritz Hotel stay worth it!

The shuttle to the beach club and Armand's Circle is SO convenient an runs every hour until 10:30 at night.

We arrived at the beach club and was greeted by Natasha.

The beach club is one of the best parts about this hotel as well.

Taylor at the beach club was very helpful with great service.

We loved hanging out at the beach club during the day, visiting Jack Dusty for a happy hour drink before dinner at one of the many outstanding restaurants in Sarasota and in St. Armand's.

The pool staff was wonderful and the same can be said of the  staff at The Beach Club.

The guy taking care of our section at the Beach Club (Alex) was awesome!

The service at the beach club was SUPERB.

we loved the pool and beach at the beach club (a shuttle away) and spent few days there.

The hotel did have some good points: it's  in a good location (it's a short drive to most of the Sarasota sights), and  it has a nice beach club where they provide the level of service expected at a Ritz (although the beach club was a 10-15 minute drive away).

The beach club (there is a shuttle that goes to the beach club once every hour and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get there.

From start to finish, outstanding service; rom Bruce at the Bellman's service to Drew at front desk for check in, Jorge and Diego at Jack Dusty for dinner and John most mornings at Jack Dusty to Brian and Susan and crew at the beach club to Michelle at Ridley's Porch for our final dinner.

The air conditioning was in need of repair!!

First, the air-conditioning is one of those units on the outer wall with the window, locked vents so when it is running, and this IS Florida.

Only complaints were:
   1. the A/C was very loud (which you only noticed when it cycles on at night)             
   2. the plug in the bathroom sink wouldn't stay up and the basin filled up and was very 
        slow to drain.

The air conditioner was very noisy, not a constant noise which would have been OK

The only downside to being such a central location was the excessive amount of construction in the whole city as hotels are being erected all around which makes traffic crazy and lots of noise if your AC is off.

Upon entering our room we realized that the air was not turned on, so we adjusted the thermostat and I went over to open the blinds and was terrified to find that the wires to the ac were barely held together and were lying exposed on the floor for anyone to touch. Yikes!

Will agree with other reviewers that A/C is very noisy.

But sleep was very difficult - the in-room A/C unit had a very loud fan AND rattled, and woke me up every time it went on.

Not a fan of the $10 a night parking fee the parking pass said it would charge.

The TV maximum volume seemed to be set to a level that when the in wall, noisy, AC is running you are unable to hear the TV.

Just want to work out , went to the workout room it’s absolutely FREEZING in the room , it’s winter even in Florida .

The only drawback was the room a/c that clicked off and on rather loudly in spite of white noise and ear plugs.

There is a small wading pool for cooling off,

Between the AC window unit, the people in the room next to us (who were playing music up until 12 am), and the many hallway noises, we could barely sleep.

Rooms could have had microwave and water heater in room.

The main improvements I would suggest to make the experience complete is to make the elevators and AC units quieter and have mini fridges in all the rooms.

I came home somewhat congested from the mold and moisture within the noisy a/c.

Something in the room was a bit loud, I thought at the time the AC

My room was perfect, clean, and serviced daily.

The entire hotel was clean, cool, bright, and refreshing.

Easy parking, friendly staff, nicely decorated and clean room with lots of space.

The room was quite clean and had a king sized bed that was very comfortable.

The hotel has a persistent odor of grease which hit me at the door and was consistent

Nevertheless, check in was quick and pleasant and our room at the end of the 4th floor was very large with living area, and clean.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

The food and service were 4 star, rooms were very clean and artistic, nice hot tup area, wonderful location, obviously well managed and maintained.

The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

We were especially impressed by the level of service, which was simply impeccable despite the difficulties posed by Covid.

Very clean , comfortable and accommodating.Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

My sons and I loved Hotel Indigo, its quaint, clean, and every one who works at the facility are so nice and accommodating.

They keep the whole hotel very clean and the lobby is open and airy and a great place to hang out.

They all went above and beyond during my vacation and deserve recognition for superior service. Shannon, the Hotel’s GM was attentive and extremely helpful in all areas; Melinda & Virgen in housekeeping kept everything very clean and were always willing to help in any way; Bennie (like “Bennie & the Jets!!!)

The best we can say about our stay is that the hotel was clean.

Even the convenient,clean & well-lit parking garage has art prints and piped in music!!

The room was clean and comfortable - the bathroom and huge walk-in shower were quite nice.

It was a clean,  beautiful room, great location and helpful, friendly staff.

We had tickets to an event at the Van Wezel Arts  Center.

It is located within the heart of the city which allows you to walk to almost everything (neighboring rooftop bars with breathtaking views, Main Street downtown and all its exquisite shops, Marina Jack renowned for breathtaking views of Sarasota Bay and new home of the world famous “Unconditional Surrender” statue!

The Arts District could not have been a better choice for this boutique hotel, and it fits right in with its charming decor and furnishings.

The wood (laminate plank style) floors were a welcome feature and made the room feel cleaner than the standard hotel room carpeting.

The fire pit outside was encouraging to provide some ambiance

Our room was decorated beautifully with a giant floral mural on the wall that was breathtaking.

This hotel is both stylish w/ a good beachy feel too.
