Other things to note:

1. the pool/bar is quaint and spacious
2. bagels only for breakfast
3. no exercise facility or affiliation with any local gym (I’d recommend management pursue an agreement with EoS for guests to get discounted daily/weekly rates, which is 3-5 minute drive from the hotel).

The free hot breakfast was a dissapointment compare to other hotels where I had free breakfast.

Nightly popcorn and cookies, breakfast, and a hot tub.

The complimentary breakfast offered was average with fresh bananas and oranges.

but it was very clean well runned and had what you needed for a siesta key vacation the breakfast was set up very nicely each morning and the pool was very nice and clean and they had a small bar which was perfect for an afternoon cocktail would definitely go back

Stay away from the hot tub, so many chemicals our skin/hair was messed up almost a week later.

Booked 1 month ago and when we got there they had booked our rooms to others, room smelled bad and tiny bugs all over.

Carpet was nasty, manager would not return my call.

Many people now a days do not like the smoke!

Instead we got a view of the parking lot and apparently everybody would come and stand outside our room to smoke cigarettes so it filled our room with smoke.

The eggs were disgusting way too much salt.

but our room had a musty smell and was outdated.

and there was dried poop smeared on the side of the toilet bowl.

even though we put ours off Changed room at 10 pm as too noisy New room was slightly better still fan noise in bathroom as well as a bit of an odour!

Staff did not seem to be bothered by this disgusting incident.

The new room, located at the 4th floor seemed bether and didn´t smell like the first one.

The toilet in the bathroom smelled *strongly* of sewer gas.

To make matters worse they blew debris and sand all over my newly detailed car.

The air con would turn off and was noisy.

The room was clean, AC was loud, there were cracked bathroom tiles, found a long dark hair on a towel.

One problem, the AC fan blew on the farthest bed, a common situation in hotels.

However, we are not fans of common use serving spoons and tongs.

my only issue was that the air conditioner did not work in the fitness center.

The bathroom exhaust fan was non existant or broken.

My only complaint with the room was the loudness of the air conditioner.

There were school sports teams there and the hotel was at capacity so the water heater did not restore to a warm temp for us to shower.

- while the thermostat really responds, don’t be afraid to lower it during night as it gets warm only to raise it as you get-up.

When I got to my new room Juan had set the heat to the specific temperature I had mentioned when he tried to fix the heater in my first room.

The bathroom floor was sticky and the air conditioning unit was clunky.

Only disappointment was that the AC motion sensor turned the room temp up while we were gone and the room was damp and warm upon our return.

There was no fan for ventilation in the bathroom and you could see where they'd painted over mold stains on the ceiling of the tub.

I am happy that they are finally installing additional washing machines as one is just not enough, especially during soccer tournaments.

He told me the government made them install the Inncom thermostats.

There was a cockroach in our room and the a/c has broken.

This hotel had some issues with their A.C. Units.

Included breakfast was quite large in variety and good.

(I also had a free delicious cookie one night).

Hotel was clean, rooms were nice, and breakfast did not disappoint.

Breakfast was great and had lots of options.

The breakfast buffet was inviting, clean and plentiful.

The morning breakfast was very good and there were plenty of choices to pick from.

Love the modern decor, the variety of food at breakfast, and the glass of wine at check-in on Thursday evening was such a nice touch!

Breakfast was ok needs music or TV back in the dining area where it use to be.

Was recently their and had a great stay , I was their for 3 days and Drew @ the front desk was great clean newly remodeled rooms and great breakfast options , and great location near the airport and near the beaches and a bit safer area

However, we enjoyed what we had at breakfast and everything was spotlessly clean.

Because the rooms are not cleaned often the carpets need to be replaced.

In addition to the booking fail, the carpet in the rooms were also very filthy.

They have removed the draperies and replaced them with pull down shades, carpet is poor quality.

Carpet in the room was very stained and unsightly which was quite unpleasant

You can tell the carpets in the rooms and halls have not been cleaned for at least 6 months.

Very small rooms, dirty carpet, and the staff would not provide me with a receipt upon checking out.

No laundry room and hallway carpet very dirty.

The walls are grey and the carpet is a dingy grey.

.the carpets were dirty, the walls were dirty, the refrigerator didn't work, dust everywhere, and the curtain rod in the bathroom was ready to fall off the wall.

There is some minor things the hotel is still working on such as new carpeting or carpet cleaning is needed throughout the hotel and also some extra cable channels.

The lighter color choice of carpet was a poor one for a hotel.

The AC blew hard and directly on the bed, to the point we had to turn it off for the night.

but ck out 11am) bathrooms too small, and I'm skinny, Air conditioner disturbance, too loud/ noisy.

My only complaint was that the bed was too close to the Air Conditioner and when it turned on it was a direct hit to the person on that side of the bed.

however the ac unit is loud, too close to the bed and the vent dirty.

Frankly, I've almost never gotten room with a reliable A/C in the past 3-5 years.

Pool had about 8 guests relaxing outside at the same 
time the grounds crew decided to start blowing leaves at about 100 decibels (this couldn’t be done an hour later when no one was there?

Only "stand out" thing is that the hallway was freezing!

My only complaint was that the AC wasn't the best.

Air conditioning was fabulous (not too loud) and you will need it in the Summer months.

Bathroom design awkward, water too “soft” to feel clean and loud AC and temp control created either too warm or too cold, interfered with sleep.

Everything was good except for the AC in the room did not work correctly so that was a little frustrating having to wake up and I just that more than once in the night.

My only complaint is that the air conditioning unit in our room was very loud.

The only issue I have was the body wash scent was quite terrible..so being soap!

The only thing that could be improved in my option was the breakfast was a bit meager and the bathroom was not well thought out.

Even with the blackout curtains tightly closed the light leaked around it.

Our room did not have good water pressure in the tub/shower, which was a problem.

but too sterile in the bathroom area and not enough in the shower area.

I planned to give the hotel 5 stars until I kept discovering problems in the room: dirty used soap in the shower, when stepping out of the shower discovering no towels except 2 small wash cloths left from the prior guest, reached for the phone to call the desk and phone looked so dirty around the edges I hesitated to pick it up, when I did it didn’t work, waste basket bins had liners laying on side that I would have to put in basket.

Bathroom was a nightmare - rust in bathtub, dirty grout lines, and stains on walls.

bathroom wasnt cleaned, bed not made, rug not vacuumed.

Bathroom was awful as a motel, very small.

Bathroom was tiny and awkward to try to get in and close the door due to the closeness of the two.

Every time we entered or exited the shower/toilet space we whacked our legs.

The bathroom we had could use a renovation.

The bathrooms could use an update refresh,

My first room had a dirty towel still left on the door of the bathroom (I travel a lot and this has never happened to me before) The sink was clogged and there was hair on the pillows.

Some of the finishes need repaired, and our shower was just not the level of clean I'd expect from Hyatt.

Love th bathroom with just the shower, no tub and curtain.

Like always top quality, breakfast is excellent room is clean stuff  very helpful.

The added bonus was a delicious complimentary breakfast!

The free breakfast is a nice touch and first rate.

Please consider training and educating the front desk staff as well ans personnel at the breakfast area.

Breakfast menu was excellent with bagels, yogurt, cream cheese, potatoes etc.

even though i was next to the exit door on the back on the first floor.

They knocked on our door before 9 one day for housekeeping, we weren’t ready.

We can appreciate sleeping in without a knock on the door when we don't need our bed made.

Lighting was poorly placed, closet door inoperable.

No knock at the door, no announcement from the person entering.

You had to tug hard to get the bathroom door open and closed.

but it is really not a true suit in the sense you don’t have 2 rooms , you have a divider that does not go all the way in between the living area and the bedroom - so unable to close a door and keep noise/light out from a sleeping child.

I am a neat freak and ended up cleaning bizarre stains off the bathroom door myself for fear they would blame our small dogs.

The shower simply isn't large enough to not have some sort of door or curtain to prevent water from getting into the rest of the room.

The night was noisy, other guests were continuously running front of our door, speaking, shouting, laughing very loud.

Closet was a little squeezed in (couldn't open the sliding door very well because was blocked).

I threw a towel over the drain and closed the door--that helped a little.

After closing the door, we could still hear him.

Walls are thin.. could hear everything next door.

I'm a very light sleeper and did not notice any noise from the airfield next door.

I put the do not disturb sign on from about 2:30-3:30, and at 3:30 found a note slipped under the door that said because of the do not disturb sign I wouldn't have my room serviced and that the housekeeping staff had left for the day.

even though the shower and toilet are separate the shower door here seemed to try to address the small size of that room.

So the money saved here that was to include breakfast was spent else where.

The breakfast is very good &included with the room which further reduced our financial burden.

The food was plentiful, diverse and delicious.

To the breakfast staff, the eggs were amazing

best of all, a variety of breakfast items were offered (as part of the fee) and the internet service was most acceptable, online in two minutes .

Also, housekeeping can be extremely noisy - the housekeeper on our floor let the doors on rooms slam closed over and over again on the 'flip over' locks instead of using door stoppers to keep the doors open; very annoying if you're trying to sleep in.

I would give it a higher score if the outside door wasn’t so loud.

but then locked doors to outside area which I feel.they could have opened as an overflow to the breakfast rush.

I was told that their were quite a few doors with handle issues.

The only other problem was the constant slamming of the doors on our floor, with the high school kids coming and going constantly to each others rooms during the evening.

He even had a friend park a very expensive mobile home across the front door to further secure our safety.

Only one thing the walls are a little thin so when the people in the room next door got loud late at night I could hear them pretty clearly.

This one did have a tiny bit of mold in the sealing around the tub, and a tiny bit of rust on the inside frame of the bathroom door.

Within second staff was helping to open the door and get her hand out and then continued to help by getting ice and comforting her and my aunt.

- Chain issued room doors that can be noisy when slamming automatically 
- No storage room if you plan to leave your luggage for the day

Only problem we had was that on check in we were allocated a ground floor room and on approaching the door to this room we were greeted by the sound of a yapping dog left alone in the next room.

I found a regular level 1 outlet at the front of the hotel facing the front door about midway between the end of the building and the front door.

The downsides were that the doors shut loudly sporadically at night, the window A/C unit is too loud, and the WIFI seems a bit wonky.

After spending the night at a La Quita at Tampa North (which was quite scary and not clean) plus not getting much sleep,  I was thrilled when I opened the door to my room to find it was VERY clean, updated and no smell whatsoever.

We noticed the noisy family next door a few times,

but the person on the front desk, Judy, left a sympathy card under our door when she found out why we were there.

My only negative is that 'Trip Advisor' is mentioned on the doors and verbally by the staff at every interaction.

Also the door for the stairwell slammed shut.

The beds have dual pillows,both soft and firm

Called the desk, was told they were having "issues" and that they were having to reset the water heater every 2 hours.

The rooms and hallway are outdated and the thermostats did not appear to be working properly.

So your choice is tv and no ac or no ac with tv .

Old style ac blew so hard curtains blew half way across the room.

*Rooms are well worn, and the AC units are old, loud, and do not function well.

Also the air conditioning was older and difficult to control.

Bathroom door didn’t close and the AC was so noisy we had to choose between sleeping or sweating.

Overtime the A/C came on is sounded like water running and it was noisy too.

As a loyal longtime Hilton Honors member and big fan of Hilton standards, it is very painful for me to write a bad review of Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota.

At one point we called the front desk and asked for help in regulating the air conditioning.

Leaks from balcony, hole in floor under carpet and the window blew open during tropical storm!

The only downside was that the pool heater was broken and it took several days for it to get repaired.
