About us:  family of 5 with young kids on a ski holiday during UK half term week in mid-Feb.  We were looking for an all-inclusive experience to minimise hassle and we chose Club Med on a friend's recommendation.

I came for a holiday with my two sons (17,11), the week before Christmas 2022.

Davide should get a raise for all his hard work, really nice food and a nice variety, very good family holiday and would recommend and the bar is a nice place to relax.

But if you are looking for a quick summary, here it is: overall we enjoyed our vacation

As I did break my leg, what I can review is the level of service that I benefitted from here.

The staff team here is a relatively new one, as we are here at the start of the season and yet, as a holiday maker, you would never know.

We had to pay twice for baggage becuase of ClubMed's error.

A group of 8 were all given chalets quite spread out and of different qualities - which was disappointing considering we all paid the same price.

Only one choice of skies-Rossignol- only in the higher price point could you have a choice of skis.

but transportation needs to be improved a lot (seems that there is cost-cutting at the serious expense of comfort) and Veronica, the transportation manager, maybe needs to revise her customer skills.

For one week we paid 5000€ for nothing!

* Lost our ski pass on day 1 and had to pay a 40 Euro replacement fee.

Despite paying a premium for an  all inclusive luxury family ski holiday in Pragelato, Club Med failed to deliver and we were hugely disappointed.

- Worst Mojitos ever!! - Very difficult to find out information about Club Med restaurant in Salle D’oux
- Guest information in respect of measurements for pre-booked skis ignored (both adults given the same size skis)
- Complete disconnect between hotel, Club Med and the bar when it comes to responsibility and refunds (crossing out of a price on a signed for tab!)

when you have paid over £2k per person, this is not what you would expect.

If you want a sauna you have to pay extra.

but why should we pay  eu15 when supposedly all inclusive?

Maybe just a little more attention to be paid to small details, that might only improve the general experience.

STAY AWAY - they don’t deserve the money you pay.

When you pay so much money you don’t think that every thing in the club will cost more money.

Numerous activities on the ski mountain require you to pay in cash—our ski group guide took us to lunch spots that were not included, and then we had one trip that required us to pay a bus charge; I had to borrow from a fellow GM just to get back to the resort.

Very junior staff with mistakes at all levels (luggage deposited at wrong places, skipasses were not ok, etc)
Quality needs to be upgraded and no langer in line with the price you pay

but nothing at weekends which is quite hard if you don’t want to do the main run from the gondola and also nothing around so would be nice if they had a bus to Sestriere at weekends for shopping etc as a cab is very expensive
Our ski instructor Matteo was also very nice and spoke great English.

The spa was the only complaint really, pool was cold and jets not working and the sauna in not included in the price.

We had expected that paying a premium for an all inclusive resort would make our children's first skiing experience run smoothly

However, as we were there skiing our own, we felt less welcome than those groups being led by the 'official' ski guides.

However this was just a small gripe and overall we had an amazing holiday in a beautiful resort with great skiing
Will definitely go back !

but if you never want to venture far after a busy day skiing this will suit you well.

Thanks to him I have now the basic techniques and the trust to want to go skiing again.

The location is great, the village is very nice, kids are taken excellent care of, the skiing domain (Via Lattea) is gorgeous and the skiing activities well organised with fantastic teachers (“Maestri”) that truly do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay.

As most of the guests were skiing, it is normal that they would want breakfast between 8.00 - 8.30,

Thankfully we were very lucky with the snow so the skiing made the week.

We have just returned from a fabulous weeks skiing in Pragelato, perfect weather and snow and miles of excellently managed pistes.

This trip consists three of our first time - Europe, Skiing & Club Med.

Despite several rather negative reviews the week before we went, we thought the staff, food, drinks and skiing were all amazing at this resort.

The positive is the quality of the food and the customer care from the restaurant staff.

The food exceeded our expectations and the staff went above and beyond.

When I collect my ski pass, reception staff said first day is included.

The housekeeping staff was very thorough and were responsive to requests for more water and no decaf coffee pods!

His positive attitude, great recommendations, and infectious energy created a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

but for dinner were always greeted to queues to the restaurant.

Super experient, patient, professional and always in a good mood.

Dancing, coloring, going outside, always with a smile and a lot of enthusiasm !!

Christian and the La Trattoria bar staff made my Club Med Pragelato experience exceptional.

Enthusiasm and a happy smile alone doesn't carry the day any longer, a Butlins type experience at FourSeasons prices is not a viable long-term model.

As a beginner, ski in ski out is important to take the faff out of the experience Pragelato doesn't deliver this.

Be prepared for great Franco / Italian hospitality,

Pragelato was a very different experience for us as all of the others had been at beach locations.

but as this is the only way down there are generally fast, experienced skiers and boarders whizzing around.

But there were also really nice workers as well I would want to have a better experience from club med.

This wasn’t the best experience for me.

I must say the experience is exceptional and beyond.

Weekend nights the bar directly outside our room was very noisy till the early hours which could be heard in our room making an early night difficult.

Our room was on the front with a balcony overlooking the slopes, the only downside was, our room was over a bar (not part of the hotel) and some evenings it was noisy

Between the hotel and the slopes is a car park so a little noise in the mornings especially from the bin men

Previous reviews commented on the noise if your room was on the road side of the hotel.

My partner and I went to bed quite early, and often we heard noises where people talking loudly at the hallway.

As others have already mentioned, if you have a room at the front of the building, expect to be woken early with the traffic noise.

The hotel can be quite noisy on an evening with being on a street.

Both seating areas have large tv screens which by default seem to be on, or in the pub there's always music playing, so there's nowhere to go in the hotel to get some peace and quiet, other than back to the bedrooms.

However be warned the ice rink opposite plays constant boom boom music – I use music in the wide sense since no actual tune – rather annoying

It can be noisy due to the music from the ice rink during the evening and the snow plough / delivery trucks during the morning,

There is an ‘Irish bar’ in the hotel basement which serves coffee/tea and cake at 16.30, the evenings can be quite noisy in the bar.

An truly awful, noisy experience with almost no sleep for the whole week.

I stayed in room 220 slope side, I believe road side is noisy early hours.

Such a shame about the noise as the hotel works hard as do the Crystal reps to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The only draw back was we stayed on the first floor and could hear the noise from the pub at night

The reception and bar staff were helpful and efficient, even managing to find gloves we had given up on.

They really are an amazing team that make your stay so enjoyable.

The staff are fabulous, charming and helpful and the food is wonderful.

We were allocated a head to head room which is quite small, especially with all our ski gear.

Rooms are very small - cleaning staff would harass you by 8.45 to get out of your rooms so they could clean - and sometimes after kicking you out they didn't even clean the room.

Rooms - The rooms are small, we had a twin room and there wasn't enough space really to push the beds together into a double.

Having read about small rooms I noticed the initial price was for a room with end to end beds which isn't ideal for a couple so we upgraded to a mid-range room with side by side beds and a balcony for about £50.

The tv in the room didn't have signal all week, we had no smoke alarm (we made the reception aware), wardrobe door missing, cracked casing on the safe & plaster breaking away from the walls.

The carpet going up the stairs hadn't been vacuumed in what looked like a month and stunk.

The Hotel itself is a little tired, the lift smelt of wet dogs and the decor wasn't the greatest,

but the rooms could be better and they can smell of blocked drains.

Occasionally our bathroom would smell a little of blocked drains, prob.

The wooden floor wasn't swept all week, which meant there was quite a lot of dust and debris by the week end.

The safe in the room didn't work and there was a permanent smell from the drains.

The jacuzzi could do with a bit more chlorine in as it's a bit smelly so we only used it the once,

The worst issue was the sewerage problem!!!

Staff – This is the plus point of this hotel.

The reception were happy to book these for us.

Plenty of bars nearby in the town which are lively with a mix of tourists and locals, where they’re very accommodating.

What separates this hotel out are its staff and the food.

but the holiday was made special by the magnificent team at Miravalle.

but there was a coach load of us all being checked in at the same time, but they were so quick and efficient at getting us all checked in.

Staff were brilliant too and helped out when they could.

Staff are great :) 
Having lunch on the mountain included was really great.
