I like the friendly GO team, especially my good friends Joana and Maureen.

Despite paying a premium for an  all inclusive luxury family ski holiday in Pragelato, Club Med failed to deliver and we were hugely disappointed.

- Worst Mojitos ever!! - Very difficult to find out information about Club Med restaurant in Salle D’oux
- Guest information in respect of measurements for pre-booked skis ignored (both adults given the same size skis)
- Complete disconnect between hotel, Club Med and the bar when it comes to responsibility and refunds (crossing out of a price on a signed for tab!)

when you have paid over £2k per person, this is not what you would expect.

If you want a sauna you have to pay extra.

but why should we pay  eu15 when supposedly all inclusive?

Maybe just a little more attention to be paid to small details, that might only improve the general experience.

STAY AWAY - they don’t deserve the money you pay.

When you pay so much money you don’t think that every thing in the club will cost more money.

Numerous activities on the ski mountain require you to pay in cash—our ski group guide took us to lunch spots that were not included, and then we had one trip that required us to pay a bus charge; I had to borrow from a fellow GM just to get back to the resort.

Very junior staff with mistakes at all levels (luggage deposited at wrong places, skipasses were not ok, etc)
Quality needs to be upgraded and no langer in line with the price you pay

but nothing at weekends which is quite hard if you don’t want to do the main run from the gondola and also nothing around so would be nice if they had a bus to Sestriere at weekends for shopping etc as a cab is very expensive
Our ski instructor Matteo was also very nice and spoke great English.

The spa was the only complaint really, pool was cold and jets not working and the sauna in not included in the price.

The positive is the quality of the food and the customer care from the restaurant staff.

Between the hotel and the slopes is a car park so a little noise in the mornings especially from the bin men

Previous reviews commented on the noise if your room was on the road side of the hotel.

My partner and I went to bed quite early, and often we heard noises where people talking loudly at the hallway.

As others have already mentioned, if you have a room at the front of the building, expect to be woken early with the traffic noise.

The hotel can be quite noisy on an evening with being on a street.

Both seating areas have large tv screens which by default seem to be on, or in the pub there's always music playing, so there's nowhere to go in the hotel to get some peace and quiet, other than back to the bedrooms.

However be warned the ice rink opposite plays constant boom boom music – I use music in the wide sense since no actual tune – rather annoying

An truly awful, noisy experience with almost no sleep for the whole week.

I stayed in room 220 slope side, I believe road side is noisy early hours.

Such a shame about the noise as the hotel works hard as do the Crystal reps to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The only draw back was we stayed on the first floor and could hear the noise from the pub at night

The reception and bar staff were helpful and efficient, even managing to find gloves we had given up on.

They really are an amazing team that make your stay so enjoyable.

The small head to head rooms are very small and my wife and I struggled with the one way system we had to adopt to get

We were allocated a head to head room which is quite small, especially with all our ski gear.

Rooms are very small - cleaning staff would harass you by 8.45 to get out of your rooms so they could clean - and sometimes after kicking you out they didn't even clean the room.

Rooms - The rooms are small, we had a twin room and there wasn't enough space really to push the beds together into a double.

Having read about small rooms I noticed the initial price was for a room with end to end beds which isn't ideal for a couple so we upgraded to a mid-range room with side by side beds and a balcony for about £50.

The tv in the room didn't have signal all week, we had no smoke alarm (we made the reception aware), wardrobe door missing, cracked casing on the safe & plaster breaking away from the walls.

The carpet going up the stairs hadn't been vacuumed in what looked like a month and stunk.

The Hotel itself is a little tired, the lift smelt of wet dogs and the decor wasn't the greatest,

but the rooms could be better and they can smell of blocked drains.

Occasionally our bathroom would smell a little of blocked drains, prob.

The wooden floor wasn't swept all week, which meant there was quite a lot of dust and debris by the week end.

The safe in the room didn't work and there was a permanent smell from the drains.

The jacuzzi could do with a bit more chlorine in as it's a bit smelly so we only used it the once,

The worst issue was the sewerage problem!!!

Staff – This is the plus point of this hotel.

The reception were happy to book these for us.

Plenty of bars nearby in the town which are lively with a mix of tourists and locals, where they’re very accommodating.

What separates this hotel out are its staff and the food.

but the holiday was made special by the magnificent team at Miravalle.

but there was a coach load of us all being checked in at the same time, but they were so quick and efficient at getting us all checked in.

Staff were brilliant too and helped out when they could.

Overall I feel this hotel delivers for a 3 star hotel that is situated close to the slopes with very friendly and efficient staff.

Everything was really good , the food is fine ,the wine is plentiful ,the rooms are fine and the staff are really friendly and helpful .

Unfortunately for me, a lot of guests paid a lot less than I did.

The main problem was that during our stay at least half of the hotel guests and some of the staff suffered sickness and vomiting. .

then the food and service just fell through the floor, in the morning the bacon was cold and the hot water hurn was luke warm so we couldn't mash tea properly , the following day the same so a guest turned it up

There is a problem with the heating in the hotel, or rather with guests messing about with the heating because there are notices on the back of the room doors telling you not to alter the radiators.

however there were some parents who let their young children crawl and run about the dining room with no thoughts for the staff carrying hot dishes or other guests.

but 2 Pillows should be provided for all Guests.

Sometimes it's the small efforts for guests that give the best impression.

An oddity is that guests must open windows to cool rooms down - fiddling with the radiator controls causes rooms downstream to lose all heating, so that could be a nuisance if you are unlucky with guests who don't see the clear instructions.

Having read some of the reviews - and, indeed, listened to some of the fellow guests - I am disappointed in the attitudes of my fellow Brits.

(not a guest would be my bet) If you pay anything more than half-price you will feel ripped off.

In truth, I think the chef is trying to deliver a menu that can be provided to all guests, all at once, in one sitting.

Last week we were guests in four, the Club Hotel Grande Claviere.

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas and think we were the first full week of guests to stay this season.

but some of the guests were, when arriving back from nights out or having loud family 'discussions'.

The public rooms are too small for the number of guests so the dining room is squashed, the lounge and bar area overcrowded.

The communal areas could do with being be a bit larger as there often wasn't enough seats in the bar for all the guests.

The rooms were ok 
 and we must have been extremely lucky as our room was actually hot (in fact too hot) as other guest were all complaining how cold there rooms were.

The food was not good not enough seating for guests in evening the cake at 4pm was non existent bread with chocolate spread or jam!!

Maybe guests were a bit poor at opening windows to air the bathroom and perhaps an extractor might have helped.

The bar area was a little small for the number of guests,

but ruined by the poor quality of food provided and not to the standard we would expect from Crystal and for the amount of money paid.

but we have the photos, the service at dinner time was so poor due to lack of staff, Saturday night we decided to eat out because the owners was giving us all the cold shoulder , dinner time 7.30 and when we arrived back at 8.45 one of us entered the dinning room to see guests waiting for their deserts, what they didn't know was the chef was out side the front of the hotel having a ciggy whilst they were waiting.

Some of the previous reviews about this hotel being poor are appalling and this hotel does not deserve these poor reviews

This is very much appreciated as I have paid more and stayed in chalets with poor heating and radiators to dry clothes.

As for the hotel the food is really poor and not very clean.Im not sure who wrote the earlier xmas review as everyone we spoke to could not believe how poor the chef was.

Due to the food it barely warrants a poor.
