Everyone was super friendly and helpful, they even sorted out Taxi travel to and from our party.

Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the owners and all the staff (though small in number) are very friendly.

The reption was very friendly, the room very clean, the breakfast good -all in all value for money -  a really good place to stay.

The heart of this hotel are the owners, very friendly and helpful and just in the right way.

We really enjoyed just driving round the picturesque villages and chatting to the locals who are all very friendly and appreciate it if you try to speak french.

A definite positive feature for us was the friendly, helpful staff who helped us with our luggage (no lift) and with information about the area.

The room was small, felt cramped, and the carpet a bit dingy.

The owners make you feel welcome right away, the rooms are spacious and quiet, even the refrigerator and airco in the room are silent.

Angelo and Helene the owners are charming and very accommodating.

The owners were superb, with travel arrangements prior to our arrival and while we were there, organising us all in getting the guests to and from the party.

Excellent service with any queries and made us feel number 1 priority.

The main reason for our happiness about this hotel, was because of lady and man that owns the hotel.

The owners (Helen & Angelo) provide the guests with homely comfort and individually tailored attention.

However, being late was not a problem as we were warmly greeted & shown to a very welcome tidy room.

Relaxing week end in this lovely Hotel in the heart of the Var!you will enjoy the swimming pool and a nice little bottle of rosé wine on the terrace!the owners are kind and smiling as wel,  and the breakfast was really a superb moment.

Firstly, when we first visited the hotel and restaurant in 2011, both were run by the owners of the hotel, Julie and Nicolas Malzac-Heimermann, who are fantastic, really friendly and knowledgeable.

The food was perfection and the waiting staff all wonderfully friendly, charming and discreet.

Staff were all really friendly bit a special mention for Maria who was delightful!

The food in the restaurant was delicious (some overcooked lamb aside) and the staff were generally very friendly.

The check in was easy and very friendly and they did ask us if we wanted to book a table for dinner that evening on the square since it might get busy.

The waiter was very friendly and translated every item on the French-only menu into English for us, and also helped us select a great local wine.

But I think the real gem was the waiter, a very capable, helpful, friendly young man.

and were a bit disappointed as it felt as the hotel and also the room has seen its best days and that it urgently needed a renovation.

The building is old and very well renovated with ancient furniture and all the comfort you need (Wi-fi and satellite TV).

17th century house renovated with a twist that makes it look more like a sort of curiosity cabinet.

Yet there were a few too many things amiss to leave us with a lasting impression of a great hotel: lack of warm water, some poor fittings in the rooms, the smallness of the ‘large double’ room, two animals (a bird and a gold fish) in the hotel reception kept in highly confined conditions (seeming rather cruel and in poor taste to us).

but in need of updating: why a chair by the bed, not a table; why is the wall covering stained; why no proper mirror; why the uncomfortable (to walk on) floor coverings?

but the bulding needs necessarily a renovation.

but appears shabby and definitely needs updating and the stair covering was well worn and looked grubby.

There is a bit of renovation going on with some gentrification perhaps?

but this hotel is overpriced, outdated and run by two surprisingly inhospitable and frequently rude and abrasive owners.

For some reason the hotel's own website has not been updated for 2007.

but the rooms are small and poorly lit with worn fabrics and broken furniture.

The rooms are tiny and unfortunately not airconditioned so it was rather hot in the middle of July.

but the rooms are admittedly small, this is not a problem if you will be sightseeing during the day but when we returned the third time with our baby the room was really too small, so I would recommend if you are bringing children to definitely pay for ‘Superior Confort Double Room’ or a level above.

The bed was the same size and the room just a tiny bit smaller

but were disappointed by the tiny room and even smaller bathroom.

Amazing stay in this cosy boutique hotel, staff is very welcoming, fantastic breakfast and nice and very clean rooms, dinner at their restaurant was sensational with Nicolas and Julie always going out of their way to make everything happen, we will be back soon, thanks for a lovely stay :)

Hotel 2 rocs is delightful: totally unpretentious and just the kind of typical French country hotel we love.

The owners, hospitality professionals all the way, were very welcoming and contributed to the quality of my stay.

Plus, your food will be delivered by pleasant staff.

The owners Julie and Nicolas have managed to perfect the balance between amazing quality - both food AND accommodation - with a quirkiness and warmth of welcome you really don't find often.

The personnel are very welcoming and our room was large, with three beds which were also ancient, beautiful views from our French windows, and had an updated bathroom which we appreciated.

Apart from that  I have to say that the receptionist and the waitress at the restaurant have been very good and helpful and that the restaurant also is quite good.

but kind of funny to watch my husband carry all the luggage up the stairs!!

They coped brilliantly, Excellent food, very generous wine, the best cheese trolley we've seen in France outside Paris [so many places no longer do cheese], delicious desserts and all the waiters were friendly, helpful and smiling.

This place is an absolute dream - the location is quiet and picturesque, and the staff are always extremely professional, friendly and will go the extra mile to make your visit extra special.

Stand outs for me were the friendly and attentive service of staff, and the amazing food.

The young receptionist was very friendly and, upon our arrival on bicycles, showed us the property (pool, grounds, former olive press in the huge common/living room available to all guests) and was clearly welcoming.

We sat outside under umbrellas, and were very impressed by the level of service and commitment shown by all the staff

A new water wheel is testimony to the love and investment the owners have put into this property.

My only minor irritation was that the curtains did not fully close, the rail being set forward some 6 inches from the wall, allowing streams of sunlight through in the morning and in the evening those with the desire to look, a view, albeit very limited, into the bedroom.

but the rooms are basic – small with ensuite bathrooms but no tea/coffee making facilities,  no mini bar, safe or fridge and thin walls.

The only reason they don't earn another star from me is the pace of the meal was way too slow with not enough staff to even fill water glasses when empty.

It is a humble hotel, no tea or coffee in room, one bottle of water for four nights sort of thing,

The builing, once a water mill, is full of character.

The hot water took a long time to reach this room as it is at the far end of the building, this didn't bother us as the feeling of being separated from the hotel added to our pleasure.

however, the hot water did take a little time to come on however this seemed to add to the charm rather than deter.

Rupert and Cristophe are great hosts: They provide excellent service, information and are super friendly.

Everything that other reviewers have said is true: the house has been impeccably remodeled, the grounds are lovely, the food is scrumptious, the dogs are friendly and respectful, and it is quiet with relaxing views.

With amazing attention to detail, they have created a warm and friendly atmosphere, with beautiful bedrooms, a homely feel, and a lovely breakfast in a truly idyllic spot.

The house has been carefully and tastefully decorated, it feels so friendly and homey which the hosts can take much credit for.

Gorges du Verdon was about an hour away and the coastal cities about the same.

Both cities were picturesque and we ended up seeing an 18 piece jazz band performance at l'Espace Culturel in Fayence that was unforgettable.

Good: We loved everything about this hotel, the gentleness of the owner, the lovely room (our was Lavender), the garden, the friendly dog.

The owner was very friendly and had reservered the restaurants for us in Seillans and Fayence.

Hosts Bronwyn & Robert are very friendly - nothing is too much trouble.

but friendly hosting lovely breakfast served in room (or terrace) with ample coffee :).

Perfect for a stay in the South of France, Rob and Bronwyn are friendly,  hospitable  and do great breakfasts.

Bronwen was all too happy to assist us with planning our daily itinerary, providing sound advice about seeing the best the area has on offer.

Bronwen you are the perfect host, you are kind and thoughtful and everything was done to make our holiday so memorable.

The owners, Rob and Bronwyn, are both lovely and very helpful for planning daily activities and booking one of the local restaurants for dinner plans (la gloire was our favourite! ).

Bronwen is delightful and extremely helpful, allowing us to keep some picnic food in her fridge, and she also offers delightful wine should you wish to purchase.

The staff did everything to make us feel at home including "a la cart" breakfast.

The hosts were so welcoming and made every effort to make our stay great.

Lovely people & great hosts, we could not have wished for more.

The family couldn't be friendlier or more welcoming and helpful and it's very good value at less than 100 euro a night.
