The second part of hotel called : “ Village” was disaster: Elevator didnt work 4 days from our 8 days vacation , air-condition worked only 6 hour daily and the temperature was about 40 degrees outside.

Air conditioning worked all day long, cooled down the room as expected, no issues.

The air conditioning is controlled by the building & it shut's off at 4:00 am.

They nearly blew a gasket when we said we were only there for one night.

Beautiful location in beautiful town, spectacular view, steps from the beach.

The boat brought peoples to the beach from trip and they flushed the contents of the toilet into the sea among the swimming children.

We recomend part of hotel closer to the beach.

St.Katarina Resort is wery well placed hotel, close to te beach.

Our stay in the hotel and in the beach it was memorable i spend a really good moments that i never gonna forget my wife was super happy so i could not ask for more, the room is super clean as well as the toilet and shawer. They gave us a room with the seaview for free so we appreciate that, nice staff and big hotel you can do a lot of activities there also recomendable for families and of course couples too :)

S. Caterina Village is a delightful throwback beach resort with activities for everyone from young to senior.

I heartily recommend a stay at the resort: clean and comfortable rooms, nice and competent service, good food, lots of attractions both in the hotel and in the village, wonderfull beach and sea - a great place to spend time with family or friends.

The hotel fully met expectations - very good Mediterranean cuisine (olives, salads, white and red dry wine plus beer), very well chosen quiet music, a large swimming pool, comfortable sunbeds, clean nice rooms - my room was 306 -3rd floor - excellent sea ​​view from the balcony (by the way, there is a folding towel dryer on the balcony, and ropes and clothespins are not required).

Everything was clean, food was excellent, stuff helpful and friendly.

We had a fantastic time, the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly.

Lot of things don't work like the elevator, blowdryer and WiFi for example.

If you stay across the street, you get there underground through a tunnel with the worst elevators I have ever seen.

We had a room overlooking a busy road so the quality of a stay was sometimes disturbed by heavy lorries, loud motorcycles or ambulances.

Cons:  loud, loud, bad music all the time.

The majority of guests were quite noisy Italians, so If you look for a quiet place, Santa Caterina is  certainly not for you.

..a stone beach and a little to noisy room at nights (faced to a road direction).

However, the music played constantly at the beach, far too loudly, and there was an announcer who could not shut up.

but along a very busy road, could not sleep without earplugs!

The meals were excellent, and compliments to the chef and his team, we looked forward to all the meals, with an excellent selection at breakfast, wonderful selections of traditional Calabrian food at both lunch and dinner.

They selected the peoples so in main building was everything ( the room air condition 24hours and restaurant was also with air condition) Animation is only for Italian children, so we didnt understant anything and they didnt care about tourist.

The staff in the restaurant is so kind, menager Luca and his waiters are always well organised and say Hi with a smile.

Very delicious breakfest, lunch and supper.

As for Santa Caterina - its location, informal attitude of the staff, comfortable room, culinary surprises of the local chef and, of course, the amazing sea and beach deserve the highest possible praise.

The room was big enough with daily cleaning.

But from the moment when we got to the room everything changed  magicly  and smiles on our faces didnt disapear till  the end of the stay.

Beach was excellent with wonderful service.

Good value for money as long as you are happy to use the Lido which has lots of beds right on the shoreline.

I was there very satisfied with nice place, sea view, beach distance and very polite hotel staff.

The location is excellent, just minutes from the beach, the Lido’s and town center.

Lovely place for families staff was great management was excellent,food was also good loved the beach lido also the beach it was set up nice.

But this does not reduce the overall rating, as we did not spend much time in the room thanks to the good weather and excellent beach.

We were hosted at the hotel for a conference, I enjoyed a cozy and comfortable room with great view, great friendliness and helpfulness of the stuff, excellent food, excellent access to the swimming pool and beach.

This hotel takes you back to the heyday of incredible hotels on beaches along this coast, the rooms are dressed as they were, and filled with antiques that are all usable, the reception upon arrival was amazing, so friendly and helpful and the pool, gardens and lido which is just 2 minutes walk away is perfect.

There is also a lunch buffet at the Lido Restaurant, where the beach is.

There is a fantastic pool, as well as the hotel beach which has wifi and a bar.

It is just 25 minutes walk form the railway station, and you reach the hotel beach in 1 minute, and  historical downtown with a nice 5 minutes walk.

The beach under the hotel was lovely and so convenient.

We stayed on both the second and third floors with a balcony and amazing views of the sea and along the coast to the old fort.

This is a beautifull Hotel, with a superb view over the bay.

The 4-star hotel is located at the end of the Scalea shore, and has one of the best view on the coast (including torre Talao).

The following morning I woke to a lovely view of the beach and sea.

Note if you use the fridge to store any drinks/ food you will be charged per day (a bizarre charge- why not just remove the fridges?).

We tried to pay with 4 different credit cards with no success.

This was the only disappointing aspect of our stay - we really value being able to make ourselves a cup of tea in our room whenever we want to.

The only things that disappointed us was that the AC didn't get the room below probably 75, so it was pretty much non existent, the mini fridge had the same problem as the AC(wouldn't get cold), so it was basically a storage unit.

Breakfast a good spread - minor complaint about the fruit juice (cordial) served in light weight disposable cups and much of the fresh fruit had been spoilt with brown rot.

but we couldn’t use it due to the sheer number of mosquitoes around the pool.

Mosquito cream not required for staying in the hotel.

Don't forget the insect spray as the mosquitoes got me in the early evening.

There is a very nice pool, and the hotel has its own Lido on the beach where you can eat lunch and sunbath.

There is as well a swimming pool with a relaxing sitting area, terrace, bar and jacuzzi.

Everything was as we expected: clean rooms and surroundings, beautiful interior design, friendly staff, cool pool, Etc.

It sits above the sea and has a lovely garden pool with snack bar, as well as its own lido - where bookings include use of an umbrella and loungers each day.

It also has a lovely pool area, and is only a few minutes walk into the old town.

The hotel also have a private pool with bar and friendly atmosphere.

Good location, good pool, good rooms and top of that extremely nice customer service.

Enjoy the delights of the lido on the beach with its elegant cafe providing light lunches, drinks and snacks or relax by the hotel's shaded pool with aperitivo in hand.

Beach is very easy to reach, and the hotel has a swimming pool.

The furnishing and  size of the hotel, of the swimming pool, common areas and garden are perfect because  allow for some intimacy so that I liked the place both during my conference trip and during my holiday stay with my wife.

We are so delighted to be here, the coast is beautiful the people we've met are very open and friendly.

The hotel is perfectly situated by the beach and near town center with a superb pool and beach area.

Service was excellent as was the food provided during lunch at the beach café on the premises right by the deckchairs and umbrellas and especially so at dinner in the downstairs restaurant.

Overall the hotel was very good & there pool was great & they have a private beach & the sand was mixture of fine pebbles which is ok

The hotel is very good, in an handsome place, Scalea, very close to San Nicola Arcella and Arco Magno Beach.

We stayed in the Cottages which were situated between the hotel and the beach(2 doubles,1 triple and 1 single) which suited all our tastes.

Availed of hotel pool,beach & resteraunt June 23 / 26  great staff,service & best americano coffee in scalea.

But even if you drive along the coast it is much of the same
SUN & SAND!

I rather quickly tried out the pool, which was refreshing and just the thing after many hours on the train.

It has an unheated swimming pool, and the breakfast there is fine.

We stopped here on our way south,we booked this hotel because it was on the beach and had a lovely swimming pool much larger then most,well equipped with chairs and shaded area.

They have a beautiful pool area which probably would be great in season.

The food is excellent and as always in Italy there's more if you want.

There are some good restaurant to eat at.

On one evening, a local accordionist provided dazzling entertainment and the menu that night was a typical "Calabrese" dinner.
