We have just returned from a week HB in the hotel, we were a large party of 11 (adults and children) and it was excellent the rooms the hotel areas and pool were all very clean,  reception staff were extremely helpful, the free shuttle bus into and back from Sorrento was excellent and drivers were friendly.

The FREE Shuttle bus to the centre of Sorrento is a massive advantage to this hotel.

The free shuttle bus into Sorrento from the hotel was a great asset and available every day every 15/30 mins.

The hotel provided a free shuttle service to and from the centre of Sorrento every half hour which took 5 to 10 mins depending on traffic.

Plus the free shuttle service to Sorrento an added bonus.

Good free shuttle service into town (although we walked it a couple of times also and wasn’t a problem). Fantastic!

Rooms were clean and best of all,air conditioned as we had arrived in a heatwave  .The restaurant staff and food were lovely, the free shuttle to Sorrento was a godsend as it was too hot to walk.

The hotel also provides free shuttle to Sorrento town.

but there is a free shuttle available and the driver/reception staff were always kind and helpful.

The free shuttle to sorrento was handy as well if you didn't want to walk,

The free shuttle bus is a godsend, as the centre is a good 17-20 minute walk, and running all day in both directions (10 out of 10 for this service).

but there is more to see than you realise, so we would often do one of the journeys by the free shuttle bus (which was very efficient and easy to arrange).

The rooms are spotless, cleaned every day, the free shuttle bus into Sorrento is a great help

though and the free shuttle bus into tow was so handy.

There is a free shuttle bus service to the town centre.

They put a free shuttle on that runs every 30 minutes until 10.05pm that takes you in to the centre,

The free shuttle was very good to and from Sorrento, as the walk is around 20-25 mins,

Free shuttle bus in and out of Sorrento, another great service as a taxi is 20euro.

The restaurant staff deserve a special mention for their excellent service and for making us feel welcome every morning and evening.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, including the restaurant team, the reception team.

From the reception , bar, courtesy bus driver to all the restaurants staff.

but the hotel is clean and tidy the staff are brilliant couldnt do enough to help, the restaurant staff are great a shout out to antonio and all his staff you made us feel so welcome ,    
The meal were of high quality couldnt fault them the pool area is nice and the seating area outside.

Reception staff are so helpful they are efficient, informative and happy to help in any way the could, as was the restaurant staff, bar staff, and the lady who cleaned our room.

Special mention to Angelo and his staff in the restaurant.

Restaurant staff were all first class and we never felt rushed.

The staff on the restaurant were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were so attentive.

Hotel Caravel is a fab hotel with friendly staff and great food.

All the restaurant staff are absolutely brilliant lead by the restaurant manager Angelo who is a credit to the hotel.

All the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful, particularly Angeleno on arrival at the restaurant and all the hardworking waiters.

Everyone in the hotel couldn't have done more to make our stay better, from the reception desk, restaurant staff, bar staff, right through to housekeeping and pool attendants, we couldn't have asked for more.

All the staff dinning room were excellent bent over backwards always a smile.

The food was lovely & plenty of choice on the menu every evening for dinner, Angello who was in charge of the restaurant was so lovely greeting us every time we went into the restaurant as were all the waiters also Pepe.

Angelo, the restaurant manager, was more than accommodating, and the restaurant staff was top notch.

All in all, everything was great, thanks to all, Angelo and the restaurant staff were great, reception staff very friendly and helpful, and the bar stall the same.

My partner & I  stayed at this hotel for a two wk holiday, the hotel was fantastic, the rooms were clean & beds very comfortable, all  staff were excellent especially the dining room staff, they were all very helpful  efficient &  friendly.

There wasn't anything wrong with the small room

Just be careful what room you book as we ended up with small room with two single beds.

but do be careful - some rooms only have a tiny balcony.

This lead to a very hot atmosphere in the small room and we struggled to keep cool.

Got a free upgrade on arrival (some of the rooms are a bit small), and the service continued to amaze us all week.

In terms of the accommodation itself, our room was on the small size with a small balcony that we could both sit on together (just),

Our room was quite small with twin beds and only one pillow each which was extremely hard, did get another one

I booked this hotel through Jet 2 and was a little concerned before hand as had read a few reviews saying the rooms were small and no wardrobe space.I was so relieved to find our room was amazing.

We asked if a kettle and tea and coffee could be provided in our room and this was done at a small daily charge.

The only disappointment if there is one is that the room we had was very small and there was limited wardrobe space if you could call it a wardrobe.

The only criticism we had was the room was small with no wardrobe just a shelf unit with a couple of square cubby holes, no drawers so we had to keep some clothes in our suitcase the bed was only a three quarter one.

The rooms vary in quality (see other reviews), we were unlucky and got one of the small rooms.

The Caravel has some limitations, rooms are small,room balconies mostly very small, the pool area is a bit restricted in space and can be a bit noisy, it's in a leafy suburb and a decent walk to most places

The room is small and not much storage space, the hotel is very clean and the swimming pool is really clean.

I sat up on one of the roof terraces reading my book which was nice and peaceful with fab views.

The hotel grounds are lovely and the views from the roof terrace are unbelievable.

Pool area was good and the sunbathing terraces had good views.

Don’t miss the views of the bay and Vesuvius from the Sun terrace on the top floor.

There are a couple of roof sun terraces if you prefer not to be by a poolside and these have fantastic views over the town the Sorrento area.

There was evening entertainment which was nice to listen to either outside or on the rooftop terraces which have an amazing view.

Our room had a nice view, and we also enjoyed 
the views from the roof terraces.

The hotel had 2 sun terraces and the view from them was spectacular, especially for the sun setting, great picture opportunity!

It is clean, the rooms are well decorated, there are great views from the 2 sun terraces and the pool area is also pleasant.

however we did utilise the roof terrace, plenty of sun loungers and great view over to Mount Vesuvius.

Breakfast was great and it was cool enough to sit outside on the pretty terrace, such a lovely start to the days to all eat together and take it slow.

Swimming pool is gorgeous too,  and the terrace has breathtaking views of the golf if Naples and Vesuvius.

but we had a small balcony with two chairs to watch the world go by, also two large sun terraces with ample seating & sun beds & beautiful views out over the bay.

There is a large swimming pool at the front of the hotel, and roof terrace with sun loungers and the best views.

Although a roof-bar, or having the provisions to be able to order bar service upto the terrace would be a welcome asset for guests.

The hotel has plenty of outdoor space, whether by the pool or on the fourth or fifth floor sun terraces, all of which was nice.

Good all inclusive drinks menu, nights eating and entertainment by the pool made a nice change.The staff are excellent and very helpful from the manager to the bar staff.

This is a good hotel ignore the negative reviews the food and the staff are very good all inclusive at very competitive price, try eating and drinking in Sorrento for this price- no way!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights all inclusive and it did not disappoint!

We booked a fully inclusive holiday in this hotel through Tui.

Many of the Brits stayed round the pool and made the most of the all inclusive

The all inclusive feature is good, great drinks, coffee, and even hot chocolate.

This was our first experience of ‘all inclusive’ meal service (we had purchased our holiday through Tui), and we were not disappointed.

The all inclusive offers a nice choice of food and has 3 evenings a week for ‘special nights’ bbq’s outside.

So many people on here complaining about this hotel well maybe you should all go back to your all inclusive week in Benidorm because that’s where most of you belong not in Italy

The all inclusive aspect of the hotel is great- free shuttle bus service that runs regularly, free alcoholic drinks, free ice cream in the afternoon.

All inclusive isn’t for everyone and there were lots of other options in Sorrento

It's a smaller hotel than your big Greek or Turkish AI

I have spent the last two days trying to contact Tui to get us out of here and they want £950 to relocate me to a similar all inclusive hotel.

The drinks were great - a very good selection for an all inclusive with many being traditionally Italian (negroni, aperol spitz, lemonchello spritz etc) and I can confirm they were strong!!

Spent 10 days all inclusive, all staff very friendly happy and helpful, food great especially lunchtime, pizza amazing, drinks good for AI, lots of choice, hotel and grounds very clean,room cleaned everyday, pool lovely and clean with nice steps to sit on and cool down,  good value for money no complaints location great and free shuttle bus so useful x

We were all inclusive and would say there is plenty of food to choose from, even being a fussy vegetarian like myself, i found alot of choices on offer.

though is the staff - without singling anyone out the waiters are so helpful and couldn’t do enough to look after everyone - also the cleaners and the majority of the other staff. In a nutshell it is great value for money (we paid a third of the price we would normally pay for an all inclusive hotel in Southern Europe!!)

Drinks- One of the best selection of drinks from an all inclusive hotel we’ve had.

Balcony covered in rust and green mould not suitable to sit out on .

Rooms,  especially bathrooms are grubby and dated.

The bath with overhead shower was dirty and a very old window was the only ventilation - I had to stand on a stool to open it.

The rooms are dated our bathroom flooded on the first use.

Electrical sockets not useable in the room and could only use the bathroom one.

The 3 nights they had the barbecue on they closed the two internal bars which meant if you were going out to dinner and wanted pre dinner drinks you had to use the pool bar drink from plastic tumblers and sit on chairs that were probably covered in sun tan lotion !!!

but repetitive and the service is good
The rooms are a let down - tired and in need of refurbishment - the bathrooms in particular.

but a very tired looking bathroom, the shower screen has seen better days and looks old and grubby.

NEGATIVES - patio table was rotten (see photo), rooms above (have no balcony's) dropped cigarettes from window which burnt a towel I left out to dry,  only the bathroom plug worked and needed to disconnect fridge to use this plug - told by receptionist when asked to move room, the hotel was full and unable to move rooms  + "buy an adaptor from shop", spoke to another guest who did this, and still didn't work.

I think in all honesty the rooms would look a lot better with just a new coat of white paint and perhaps some updated bathroom fittings.

The bathroom is dated and the hairdryer is useless so take your own ladies if you have long hair.

Bathroom was a little awkward to move around

Water bottles were supplied for the fridge and little sachets of shower gel in the bathroom.

Beautifully maintained art deco style hotel, yes the bathrooms are dated and rooms basic

The bathroom is definitely in need of an upgrade, the shower is a walk in bath with a shower curtain that sticks to you constantly, very annoying!

but the fact remains its basic rooms, the bathrooms are very basic and the decor definitely needs updating.

Fabulous 2 weeks holiday at parco del sole staff were lovely from manager to cleaning staff nothing was a problem good value for money central for local transport buses and trains and free bus to sorrento supplied by hotel

but ideal for a quick dip and a break from the sun.

They go the 'extra mile' to insure that you have the very best holiday experience for the duration of your stay.

Just returned from the Grand Parco del Sole and we had an amazing holiday.

We made the most of our break by going out and about

We will definitely come back to Sorrento and having viewed prices of other hotels tonight, there’s not much out there to rival the Parco Del Sole for a budget friendly holiday in such a chic  location 👍🏻☀️🍹☕️

Just back from a fabulous holiday in Sorrento staying at Parco Del Sole.

I read all the reviews prior to the holiday (as a lot of people do) so was prepared for most of what I experienced.

We (couple) have just returned from an 11 night stay at this lovely, perfectly located hotel in Sant Agnello (10m walk from Sorrento) after a fantastic holiday.

Food and drink here is pretty decent given the cost of holiday in Sorrento.

Not at all unless what makes your holiday is having a sparkling blingy hotel with no character or life.

though if you are there all 7 lunches of your holiday!

Ultimately what made this holiday special are the hotel staff, the location and the other guest.

You always take a risk when you revisit a hotel, after having a previously amazing holiday,

Despite long days, everyone was smiley and willing to let me practise my holiday Italian.

The setting, the food and drink,  and most of all, the staff has made this a fantastic holiday.

Due to ill health at the end of our holiday we needed a Doctor and the Tui Rep was so helpful getting us Help at the Airport both ends.

We had a wonderful holiday and the value for money was amazing!

The only positive was the pool area was very pleasant and easy enough to get a sun bed
There is no way this hotel is a 4 star !!

Only positives pool area was quite nice and catering staff friendly.

We enjoyed the meals - especially lunch in the pool area - and found the variety to be sufficient.

We found the pool area to be very nice- pool is a nice size and lots of beds/chairs to sit on and option to sit in shade.

Pool area and outdoor eating area was very clean.

but no matter what time we went to the pool area, we always found a space.

They test and chlorinate the pool in the evening and wash down the whole area around the pool.

The pool area is lovely, clean and gets sun all day.

The pool area was well organised, plenty of deckchairs for everyone.

The pool is cleaned every morning and is kept spotless.

The pool area is quite small and did present the feeling of being on top of other guests.

The hotel itself is set back from the hustle and bustle of the main road and has beautiful gardens, terraces and pool area.

Pool area really nice and lots of sun beds.

The pool area is gorgeous, and good for being as social as you please.

Pool was lovely and pool area maintained well.

The pool area and bar are clean and easy to get a sun bed.

Just returned from this hotel staff were amazing nothing was to much for them room was spacious very clean and a fantastic shower pool area was lovely plenty of sunbeds great outdoor bar and seating area food was good always something to find even if you're a fussy eater like myself shuttle bus was good to get you into sorrento

Drinks are very very poor quality and watered down.

The food on offer is cold and overall poor quality and shocking.

but hotel is an accident waiting to happen, poor maintenance, which is a shame as could be lovely .

Having done all inclusive twice previously and had poor experiences I was hoping to be impressed.

The drinks are of poor quality and served in plastic glasses.

Evening entertainment was poor and seemed to be every second or third night.

I agree with other “poor” reviews that the food is disappointing.

The impression I got was that the people who had given poor reviews, are just clearly difficult to please.

but very inconvenient & for our reporting to be ignored was pretty poor.

Selection of breakfast - poor, no any single yoghurt.

but I was feeling that I am saying in cheap student hostel somewhere in poor third country ; Carpets in corridors and in elevator are really outdated and dirty; Selection of breakfast - poor, no any single vegetable or fruit is available during summer season, that was really bad surprise.

Again though, poor old chef's budget must be down to the bone-even

but god the poor girl has her work cut out here for her!

but also not as bad as “poor”- rating: somewhere in the middle!

but it is Very jaded, dirty, poor quality rooms.

The dinning room and bar staff where good and food was ok ish, some of the outside catering equipment  left food open to the elements due to its poor state of repair .

Towels were changed daily, and the room was kept clean throughout our stay.

Our room was spotlessly clean and with air conditioning that was practically silent when in use.

Hotel staff work extremely hard working, room was clean (plug sockets were all broken), towels fresh and fantastic location with a fantastic shuttle bus service into sorrento.

The hotel definitely not 4star cleanliness is a big issue room was clean

We found everything very clean and rooms are tended to daily by housekeeping.

The room was kept clean, towels changed daily, and beds made.

I have never had hotel rooms cleaned to such a high standard - thank you to Francesca and her team!

Francesca is such a happy lady and our room was spotless.

The room was clean, with TV and fridge, a nice balcony with views of the mountains.

The okay bits, rooms are clean, the hotel is clean and looked after its hard working staff,

the grounds are spotless as were the rooms.

Rooms clean and tidy basic and rustic, bed comfortable.

The rooms are immaculately clean, with the towels changed daily, and beds remade.

The staff were all really lovely, so helpful and our housekeeper was excellent she cleaned our room, changed our towels, replaced soap and shower gel sachets everyday.

The room was spotlessly made up whenever we needed.

The sun loungers around the pool area are  old and absolutely filthy covered in black mould stains !

Mould and dampness on walls hidden by dirty old furniture.

room number 4 was damp and had just had the damp patch on the wall repainted,  so when we moved in the paint was still wet.

fountain coming in to hotel looks nice until you look inside disgusting black water.

Corridors on arrival were dirty and glasses, cups, bottles and plates were left the hallway, pool bar area on a morning still had dirty glasses and cups from the night before, pool sunbeds were mouldy and not comfortable.

In need of a refurbishment ,rooms were tired and some smelt damp on the ground floor don't except bedroom number 4 it's dreadful!!!!

There was one lady in reception ranting to the rep about how the pool was disgusting, I am not sure what planet she was on,

Pool has chemicals put in about 7pm which is when the pool closes.
