but bar & lounge a bit pricey and empty … that is the only downside.

You have to pay for parking (€20 outside, €40 inside per day).

As others have mentioned, the only thing I can fault the hotel on is the 20 euro/night parking fee for outdoor parking.

A free shuttle takes you into the town of Cortina whenever you like ( except at lunch and dinner for 45 minute break time) till 10 pm. My only gripe was the need to pay €20/day for parking ( and €40 for undercover parking!)

but there are other hotels closer to town and half the cost that are almost as nice.

Having to pay 30% deposit four months in advance, I always find this annoying

The food is overpriced and not as stellar as the rest of the experience,

The wine list - short, mostly sold out and incredibly expensive.

I felt this was quite mean for the price paid.

Certainly not at that price and not even at half the price.

though their prices are 5* Deluxe the service is grossly subpar for such place.

however make sure you save some cash for a taxi to get back as they are very expensive - less than 1km was €20!

The House keepers have stolen a very expensive crocodile belt, first day of my arrival.

one might overlook the hotel's weaker points were it not for the hugely and over-the-top expensive room rates - in short a very good option for cortina, and hopefully management is contemplating an upgrade, at least to bring hotel into the 21st century.

Just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean its the best.

This hotel delivered a perfect stay - rooms, service, food - the works.

From the lobby, to the bar, to the restaurants, to the spa/pool and the exquisite rooms - this hotel is a destination on it’s own, much less the incredible city of Cortina, Italy.

The continental breakfast buffet is varied and delicious and both restaurants were great.

The food is rather special, with Italian classics meeting hearty German influences in perfect portions for lunch or dinner.

The food at the restaurant was great and the breakfast was fast and easy.

but why bother when the hotel offers a free on-call shuttle, which we used each night to go to/from restaurants in town.

It's on a hill at the edge of the center of town with spectacular views from the rooms, the breakfast room and the deck for having an afternoon cocktail.

the food at the restaurant was good both for breakfast and dinner.

The breakfasts were just fantastic - I am not sure I have eaten a better morning meal in my life.

From the warm smiles upon entering the property, to the check-in, to the concierge, house keeping, restaurant, spa, you name it.

Had the chance to taste bar level, smooth service and great cocktails!

but lovely and certainly does not lack good restaurants.

EVERYTHING was wonderful at the Cristallo - the people, the rooms, the food, the location, the amenities.

but not in town ….it is a great hotel with fewer than 100 rooms and on the hill with spectacular views.

Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable, with outstanding views overlooking Cortina and the mountains.

They don’t give you water in the room other than on the first day.

The rooms, the mountain views, the breakfast, the spa and the service are some of the best we have ever experienced.

Our upgraded room was fantastic and the hotel left a nice bottle of Prosecco and some chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and big enough and have everything you need for a nice and comfortable stay.

The service is pretty much the best of any hotel I've stayed in.

The concierge was always on top of things (I wish I had written this review sooner and could list all names) and the shuttle service into town and the slopes was seamless.

but so sad that this amazing hotel, staff and culture will be gone at the end of this week.

Every aspect of the stay was lovely - highly in part to the amazingly kind and helpful staff and wonderful Piano player, Paolo.

Everyone seemed truly engaged with guests in a gracious, helpful way.

The rooms have a beautiful Tyrolean feel (which is what you want) and of course great views (with the hotel being on  a hill overlooking Cortina on one side and Faloria on the other.

but Cortina is surrounded by the mountains, so any where is as beautiful as the one you see from Cristallo.

If you want a definition of luxury in the middle of the mountains, this is the place!

The location, up on a hill from the centre of town, affords the guests fantastic views over the hills.

I disagree with another Reviewer, the hotel staff DO replenish the buffet breakfast.

Breakfast was well stocked and good every morning.

The spa and delicious complimentary breakfasts are nice touches, too.

Natale and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and breakfast was yummy.

The free breakfast was good and just what was needed before a day of yomping up hills.

We had a superior room with two large terraces and fantastic mountain views; really cosy room and comfy bed; lovely breakfast; and the staff are wonderful, especially Stefano on the front desk.

Rooms were great, beautiful woodwork, clean, well appointed, excellent breakfast daily.

A beautiful fresh breakfast is also included every morning.

The views were fabulous, the location is great, the room was quite large (the balcony gigantic); the staff so warm, welcoming, and helpful,  a bountiful breakfast, and great parking right on site .

Breakfast was included in the room rate and was a buffet with a good range of food.

There was some construction outside the hotel as Cortina is preparing for the Winter Olympics

Recent reviews had said there was construction on either side and while the sites were visible, I must have gotten lucky with timing because there was no active construction going on during my visit.

The hotel is wedged between 2 buildings under construction.

There is some road noise and there is currently construction ongoing around the hotel.

however due to such a noisy room and the fact that breakfast wasn't topped up once it had ran out (even with an hour remaining), I must rate this hotel as poor.

Thought the breakfast was quite poor and rooms lacked air-conditioning, I will recommend this hotel.

Our only complaints would be the poor WIFI reception and noisiness in 1st and 3rd floor rooms (we ended up moving rooms in the middle of our stay).

Only one thing, wifi in the room was poor, so I had to go to the lobby or a breakfast room to use internet fast.

The only too things that bothered us (other than bathroom quickness, see title) is a faint wooden odor, and poor sound insulation (we could hear people in the corridor, as well as our neighbors).

Breakfast was tasty and the service wonderful with appropriate adjustments for covid19.

Serena and Stefano could not have been more helpful with our abundance of questions regarding ski locations (offering excellent tips) and food recommendations.

We got at the hotel the map with 6 partner restaurants where we get 10% discount as hotel guests.

A convenient kitchen if you want to prep your own food, and a small grocery store 2 minutes up the road.

that being said, every other person at the front desk was genuinely nice, helpful, knowledgable about hiking and food, and spoke great English.

The rooms, facilities, food, location, views and service are all superb and we can't wait to go back.

Eda made us a bag lunch one day; very nice.

The room itself is homely and very clean.

The room was exceptionally clean and I loved the addition of the deckchairs on the balcony.

It's 100% private and has sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and showers.

You can skip a room with a balcony if possible for this reason.

But perhaps the best part of my stay was the amazing view from my room.

Hotel was quaint with only 14 rooms giving it a special home away from home feeling.

I loved this hotel the wood interiors seemed to be new and well made .. very large balconies on most upper rooms with views around the surrounding mountains  .

The hotel is in a great location for skiing (the ski bus stops directly at the hotel) and is only a 5-minute walk from the city center.

We recently stayed at Hotel Natale for two wonderful weeks on a family skiing holiday.

Rooms are very cozy and we had the luxury of having two balconies -  luxury to sit in the balcony after skiing and enjoy the sunshine.

As we were skiing every day the most important thing was the breakfast and the shower.

Yes we would stay there again if we returned to Cortina perhaps get a bigger room if you intend skiing and have lots of gear.

Everyone was so helpful with tips on where the best skiing and hikes were,they also made us up a sandwich boxes for the bus back to Venice,which was really good,as we had to leave before 8am.

We used the spa for one evening, it's a worthwhile extra expenditure (only 14 euro each) to relax after skiing, especially given that you have the area to yourselves for two hours.

All up, a wonderful week's holiday, skiing prang notwithstanding!

The lovely restaurant area is available to be used by guests who wish to bring their own food to the hotel, which is a great facility to have after a tiring day of skiing with children.

Perfect location and view from every room.

Conveniently close to the town centre (less than 5 mins walk) in which there are many restaurant choices, and nicely situated with views over the Tofane.
