Down a little side street from Corso Umberto where there are lots of shops (rather expensive) & some nice restaurants.

The location is prime two short blocks from Corso Umberto, the pedestrian commercial street of Olbia akin to Rodeo Drive of Hollywood, Fifth Avenue of Manhattan or Via Montenapoleone of Milan.

The hotel is just a few minutes stroll from the main street - Corso Umberto - so shopping & a plethora of restaurants are at your fingertips.

A big shout out to the Glamour Cafe on the Corso Umberto for a superb Aperol spritzers cheerfully served by a lovely young waiter.

Surprising to find an elegant Chinese restaurant, Mei Wei, with exceptional authentic cuisine a few blocks away on Corso Umberto I.

The location is great, just a few very short blocks from Corso Umberto.

It's good to know that the main street Corso Umberto is closed for the cars in the afternoon, if you are arriving with car.

Nice restaurants nearby or on the Corso Umberto, recommend La Laterna which is literally on the next street (great steak).

but still fairly quiet as it’s set back two streets from the main Corso Umberto.

The location of the Hotel is brilliant for wandering through the streets of Olbia and is near all amenities, there are plenty of traditional pizzerias and cafe bars within a short distance (and I would personally recommend Su Lionzu on Corso Umberto 1 for excellent pizza and value for money).

The receptionists were so helpful and friendly and the rooftop terrace is a real bonus to enjoy a late digestive :-) the room was very comfortable and large.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Panorama and were delighted by the location, staff and the facility.

The hotel has a fantastic rooftop terrace with amazing views over the the bay _the spa is also well worth a visit _finally the reception staff are exceptionally polite and helpful  also the breakfast service was good too highly recommended

The reception operated 24 hours a day and every one of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great holiday.

Everywhere was spotless and the staff were so lovely and helpful.

Service throughout the Hotel was first rate and the roof terrace is amazing, there was even a lightening storm one night and we saw it flash across the sky.

For those wishing to catch a bit of sun quietly, the roof terrace is perfect as well as giving the panoramic views the hotel is named for

The rooftop terrace overlooking the town & out to sea has sun beds & is an added bonus for a hotel in the centre of town.

On top of the hotel is a beautiful roof top terrace.

The hotel has an excellent rooftop terrace which is really worth a visit as it has the best views of the city and it has sun loungers so you can sunbathe if you like.

There is a Spa , where you can relax and treat yourself to treatments 
The main feature for us was the Roof Terrace with it's panoramic  views of Olbia, breath taking.

We really enjoyed the service on the terrace on the 6th floor.

A very nice roof terrace gives a nice view of the city.

There isn’t a whole lot to do in olbia, we were only passing through for 2 nights, so having somewhere we could just sit and relax was great, and the rooftop terrace covered all bases, very good value for drinks and amazing views, lots of room up there too, nothing to much trouble for staff.

The roof terrace is designed so not to disturb any other guests so perfect for a small party.

The roof terrace was very nice and it was good to phone down to order drinks or snacks.

The Rooftop Terrace has magnificent views over Olbia and is a great place to relax, enjoy the sun and have a drink which can be ordered by telephone and delivered up to you. Delightful.

There is a split level roof terrace which is a great feature.

The weather was mixed so the roof terrace did get a brief visit and has three levels which all have, as they say, the best views in town.

Our car hire was closed and the taxi queue was huge so I rang the hotel to see if they could help, Marco went above and beyond and jumped in his car and picked us up.

The only issue for us was that in October, much of the surrounding area have closed for winter and so somewhat limited eating options

Being late in the season many restaurants in the town itself were closed,

but once we closed our door we heard basically nothing.

We stayed at Villa Margherita from 18th to 22nd October and the resort and the hotel closed down around our ears.

but we were disappointed to find that the hotel restaurant had closed for the season.

The road outside the hotel was closed except for access every evening between 8 and 12 for a market so we got a bit lost, not helped by us arriving after dark.

All the staff were very attentive, friendly and made our stay so enjoyable.

The staff went about their work efficiently and in a friendly manner - Marco has an excellent team working for him and also dealt with our needs personally when we spoke with him.

Arrived early and our room was ready, all the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was a large range of hot and cold,very tasty, pool and Jacuzzi were lovely, great position next to the promenade, easy access from Olbia airport, lots of lovely beaches neatby, all in all thoroughly recommended.

We had a superb stay here for 13 nights, we had a great time, what stands out is the welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff, who made our stay that extra special.

The hotel gardens are lush and filled with bright flowers and palm trees, making this the perfect place to relax.

The garden is well kept and provides both sunny and shady areas to relax in.

Each course was imaginative and delicious, with fresh ingredients, herbs picked from the hotel garden and garnishes of edible flowers.

Great care is taken to keep the garden and all public areas looking their best.

The pool area was lovely and there were an abundance of sun beds that could be placed in the garden for some welcome shade.

The pool, jacuzzi and gardens were relaxing places to be.

The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden that makes it an oasis in the middle of the town.

The days can be spent on the beaches or in the super hotel gardens.

Just got back from a week’s holiday at the hotel and what an amazing experience from start to finish.

If you want a hotel that will fulfill all your wishes for the perfect holiday then go to the Hotel Villa Margherita.

We visited Hotel Villa Margherita for the second time in mid September after an enforced break due to the pandemic.

There was a Latin festival at the end of our holiday which had a great atmosphere.

All in all a fantastic vacation made better by the  attention of the staff and management.

If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway in pretty surroundings, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The VMH is perfectly located and set-up for a relaxing break in the sun.

Nice continental breakfast and the staff were very friendly and very helpful, even helped us out of a situation after being messed around by love holidays who stuck three generations of a family in one room!

I had one of the nicest holidays I have ever had in my life here and I plan on returning next year.

The staff are so polite and after a day or so remember your room number and what kind of hot drink you prefer, and every morning they greet you with a smile.

In all the hotel looks and feels like the owner and the staff take pride in it and in the experience of the guests.

I think it always says something about an hotel if you see the same staff as you did several years before - and we saw many of the same faces - just as welcoming as they were before - always smiling, always knowledgeable and helpful - and nothing is too much trouble.

Stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights the staff could not have been nicer, breakfast was very nice and hot, very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel restaurant, we felt, was actually the best around the bay in terms of quality/value, and great food all day with table service in the pool/garden.

Nice rooms, many with a superb view of the bay, a great pool and garden area, plenty of sun beds and other outdoor seating.

The back gate led to the marine promenade with shops and restaurants in both directions and it is right opposite the famous 'rising mermaid' of the bay.

Our suite overlooked the bay, was clean, airy and spacious and the cleaning staff were first-rate with our room always being cleaned whilst we were at breakfast.

Large, immaculate, beautifully decorated and then the wow factor as she opened the balcony door which revealed the stunning views across the bay.

but very well appointed great large bathroom, safe, mini bar, air con, and overlooking the bay.

We were escorted to our spacious, modern and very clean room overlooking the gardens and the bay beyond.

We spent a week at this lovely hotel with 5 rooms spread around the hotel, the position of the hotel is excellent with it’s own section of beach with sun beds and parasols, the staff were great and helpful and breakfast was really good with a good variety we would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The beach here is beautiful and the water so clear.

Went in the little train and it gave some interesting information about the area

There was a couple of hiking routes along the coastline too which was great.

This hotel was just fabulous, it’s setting, food, staff, atmosphere, and proximity to the beach.

The best part about this hotel is the private beach and the proximity to the public beach, which is also very nice.

The ‘proper’ beach in front of the hotel is excellent,

There is a so called beach around 200 meters away with sunbeds

but look where it is, the beach is 50 metres away.

but once again you are right on the beach so it doesn’t really matter.

Oh and the “ private beach” is a hillside with umbrellas and ZERO service.

The hotel has a prime beach side location and is very welcoming.

Hotel has no pool or direct beach access.

However there was no swimming pool as was advertised when I first booked.

The only thing missing from this hotel is a pool

The only downside for us was the lack of a pool and sun beds at the hotel.

Only downfall was no swimming pool and we had to use the sun beds from the sister hotel approx 700 metres away.

The hotel has no pool and no sun beds in the garden area, with the main attraction being the beach.

Since no pool, no beds reserved at next door beach (cost 30 eur per bed/day = 120 eur per day for family of four 😳, rooms are small and old, several problems in bathroom, noisy and poor aircon in room, that hotel would not fix,

Warning:  we went the first week in October, when it was baking hot, and the pool was freezing cold!!!!

Although there was no pool in the hotel, there was a constant shuttle service to and from small secluded private beach.

The fact that there is no swimming pool is not a problem as you have a 300 meter long sandy beach just 50 meter from the hotel (you do not need to pay anything to use it if you do not book sun chairs).

DO NOTE: there is no pool at this hotel which it makes no secret of

Much has been mentioned in previous reviews about "no pool"

There is no swimming pool which was a shame as you had to walk down either the steps or the dirt path to the beach.

The lunch and dinner menus did not have any pricing on them so we did not try them and the local restaurants are quite expensive.

but the sun beds that belong to the hotel are expensive at 25/35 euros.

My holiday after 2 yrs became a hell and I paid for sleepless nights !

Sun beds on the main beach were really difficult to reserve and very expensive compared to other destinations I have visited.

We had a car and had to pay 15 Euro a day for parking which we found high considering we didn’t pay at any of the other hotels in Sardinia we stayed at.

The only downside to this option is the cost, depending on where you sit in relation to the waterline it can cost from€20-€35 euros a day, which adds up for a weeks stay.

Getting about without a car isn’t easy and very expensive by taxi.

They did not have à la carte and the fixed menu was quite expensive at 40 Euros per head and we would have even had this

but more with the environment (everything everywhere being so expensive).

but only gave us a pair of earbuds 🙃, very expensive restaurant.

All cocktails cost €12 each which seems a bit pricey

but water, wine and drinks rather expensive.

The nearby beach is a public beach and you have to pay to rent sunbeds and umbrellas ,

Even with that, we paid under 400$ a night for the room in an otherwise very high end part of Sardinia (with an extensive and delish BF inclusive).

We recommend hiring the breakfast / dinner pack because the restaurants in the area have a very bad quality / price ratio.

Cost also includes shower/toilet facilities and a restaurant in which you get a discount on food, something I didn't try

Make sure to wander out and stock up on water so you don't have to pay over 5EUR for a bottle of water sold for 2EUR elsewhere.

but not great and a bit overpriced for the quality.
