although the shower was a little dark and might have been more of a size to the standard of the room?

Arrived late evening when it was dark and the car park full

but a bit gloomy as not much natural light coming into the room and the dark furniture and curtains didn't help.

We had the most friendly service of our entire 10 days in this hotel. The room was fairly small and a little on the shabby side (dark green bedding and the curtain was hanging down in one side.  )

The hotel is situated in the centre of Olbia with a short walk to lots of shops, cafes and restaurants and the train station is an easy walk.

However, the range of food was great and all very nice.

but that is of no consequence as there are many surrounding restaurants a short stroll away.

They recommended local restaurants and even booked a table for us.

The location can't be better if you're looking for easy access to cozy bars and restaurants in the very center of Olbia Old Town.

We will be back for sure :) 
The location is great to walk through all the narrow streets with so many places to eat just on the doorstep of the Hotel.

The hotel is in walking distance from restaurants, shopping and outdoor vendors.

Fabio, was very charming, gave us the history of the hotel, gave us recommendations on restaurants.

This hotel is located in the old town and steps away from charming bars and restaurants.

The hotel is just a few minutes stroll from the main street - Corso Umberto - so shopping & a plethora of restaurants are at your fingertips.

A big shout out to the Glamour Cafe on the Corso Umberto for a superb Aperol spritzers cheerfully served by a lovely young waiter.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful in advising what to do and where to eat.

The hotel is centrally located and benefits from some good restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

but unlikely to return to the town, unfortunately, as the hotel staff deserve it and the restaurant is “historic”! !

Both rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.

The rooms are immaculately clean, the en suite bathroom is sanitized well, the buffet breakfast is quite good for Italian hotel standards with hot scrambled eggs, delicious mushrooms, soft boiled egg, tomatoes, cold cuts, hot beverages such as espresso, capucchino, americano coffee, tea and cold beverages such as different juices and milk, cereals, yogurt, different breads, etc.

Our room was clean and large for our 10 days.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was comfortable and well set out.

The room was clean, large, bed was firm, water was hot, the view outstanding.

The rooms were clean and towels and bedding changed regurlarly.

We found The Hotel Panorama  wonderful with pleasant, cheery, knowledgeable staff to whom nothing is too much trouble, and we're including the cleaning staff, breakfast staff as well as the front of house reception staff and management,  Rooms are spotless and well maintained and the breakfast is a very very good buffet style.

Also, the room was clean and nice and quiet.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, simply decorated with (what looked like) new bathrooms.

The bed was too hard - we had the worst nights sleep for 7 nights that we ever had.

But given that most of the time spend at a hotel is sleeping, not getting any sleep outweighs the other more positive things.

Back from a week sailing with very little sleep.

However, because it is conveniently located in the middle of town, it was VERY loud and impossible to sleep with the windows opened.

However I shouldn't have to RECOVER from sleep when I wake up.

The downsides to the room were: it was hard to dry the mat on the floor in the bathroom once it was wet (though it was replaced daily by the cleaners); whilst sleeping, the fire alarm always blinked a bright light which was annoying if you woke up in the middle of the night; our door sometimes did not lock (the way to fix this is to hit the lock bit with a hairbrush or something so that it unjams).

When we woke up the next morning, the view really excited us.

The red light from this system is annoying when you are trying to sleep.

The only negative item: the wifi was slow and sporadic; not even sometimes loading Email or browsing.

The only negative thing is that the WiFi (free of charge) is very slow.

My only criticism would be that the bacon & scrambled eggs were a bit cold and the toast machine was very slow.

We were very surprised to be charged eight euros per person to use a small toilet/shower room in the basement.

Bring extra shower gel/shampoo since they have small bottles and not sure if they get replaced (we brought our own).

The bathroom was very spacious—just the shower was a bit small.

Our Superior room spacious and clean - Breakfast good choice -  all very fresh - meats (hot and cold) , cheese, eggs,  pastries, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit etc.

The way the Hotel Panorama personnel dealt with the challenge was amazing and impressive.

Lets start with the good points, great location, rooms clean and tidy and the reception staff are always friendly and helpful.

The rooftop terrace overlooking the town & out to sea has sun beds & is an added bonus for a hotel in the centre of town.

The hotel's roof top garden was lovely with amazing views all round.

The room was spacious and we had a nice view.

It has panoramic views of the city and port which were amazing!

Whichever your room, everyone has access to the rooftop sixth floor where there are fantastic views over Olbia - it's worth taking them in both during the day and evening.

The hotel has an excellent rooftop terrace which is really worth a visit as it has the best views of the city and it has sun loungers so you can sunbathe if you like.

The rooftop patio with amazing city wide views is perfect for evening aperol spritz.

We had a panoramic room and wasn't disappointed.

We had a room at the 4th floor with window facing the side street with a beautiful view over the red rooftops and the church.

Other perks such as a rooftop deck with a 360-degree outstanding view of Olbia and the bay area and a small gym across the building.

The view from the balcony’s ( the panorama) was fabulous.

There is a Spa , where you can relax and treat yourself to treatments 
The main feature for us was the Roof Terrace with it's panoramic  views of Olbia, breath taking.

We enjoyed our morning cappuccino and evening drinks on the rooftop where the views on both rooftop levels were spectacular.

The hotel is in a beautiful bay, with a large garden and plenty of sun beds around the pool and garden.

The gardens and coastline are very pretty.

Good local facilities and a clean beach just a short walk away too.

We did a circular walk round  baja sardinia which was good and saw a few nice beaches where little paths took you off the main path.

•	Private section of public beach has free sunbeds from 3rd row back.

Great location with access to x2 small private beaches plus an area on the public beach where you can use a sunbed reserved for hotel guests.

Lovely hotel, well placed for the beach, fantastic views.

In the vicinity of the hotel there is a good hilly walk, which gives you views across the bay, and lets you explore some military barricades- beware of the spikes bushes!

A wonderful hotel with two privat beaches, very recommended.

Fabulous location is not overselling this place at all, from our room we could see both the beach and the bay and it was a very short walk to both pool and the sandy gently shelving beach.

Gardens and small coves on beachfront were a gem alongside views.

Can't beat the location of the hotel, right on the water, well-maintained grounds, two private beaches and saltwater pool.

Lovely location at the edge  of the beach with a couple of small private coves and shaded gardens filled with sun loungers and parasols for guests to use.

We made great use of the private cove, the private beach and the pool areas with never a problem getting sun beds

You can hire peddalos and paddle boards at the beach for 20e per hour.

The pool area is very nice with sun beds positioned well apart with lots of space and great views, a free towel service is also included to get fresh towels on the pool or beach each day.

We enjoyed the private beaches, close distance to Baia Sardinia town and loved the breakfasts.

The hotel central to everything Costa Smeralda has to offer: Porto Cervo, San Pantaleo Market (on Thursdays),  postcard perfect beaches like Grande Pevero and Il Principe (and several more) as well as the Maddalena Archipelago.

The hotel is in a perfect location with views across the bay, its own sandy beach, a rocky beach and a well appointed swimming pool.

Also the drinks were extremely expensive at the hotel for example 6 euros for a small bottle of water, we opted to get our drinks elsewhere.

Real downside bottle of water was 5 euros!!! !

probably not, it was very expensive for drinks cheapest bottle of wine €30 and location seemed just a bit isolated, good for a chill week though.

Don't what ever you do bring your own water to the table ( crime of the century) the hotel charges 5 euros for a one litre bottle ,we could buy ten ,yes ten 1-5 litre bottles in the supermarket for the same price ,

Drinks are expensive - cheapest bottle of wine is 28euro and a bottle of water is 5euro .

There is an assumption that you will have mineral water with every meal which no doubt comes at a cost and we stuck to the very drinkable house white (Vermentino) which is available by the glass, bottle or vat!

I guess I thought there may have been something like a bottle of Prosecco in the room.

but I feel they could run things a bit better,
As an aside, for people considering this hotel beware you will be charged for water at your table @ €5.50 a 750ml bottle! There is no warning of this until you get your bill (I have been before so knew what to expect!)

but the girls had a bottle of water (5 Euros) to share each evening and we purchased large bottles of coke etc that they (and we) could keep in the fridge in our room, plus the hotel didn't mind us drinking our own drinks (discreetly) round the pool.

Wines are very expensive in the hotel - 35 euros a bottle upwards and a corkage fee.

Did not find out until check out time that they charge Euro 4.50 for each bottle served at the table (which can easily be purchased for just a few cents at the supermarket).

but after a couple of bottles, I mean glasses, of lovely Sardinian wine you don't even notice it!

The drinks were a bit expensive - around €30 minimum for a bottle of wine with dinner and also we were charged €4.50 per bottle of water with lunch and dinner.

Having to pay 30 euros for a bottle of wine everynight and outrageous prices for soft drinks begins to stick in your throat somewhat when you are staying for 2 weeks.

Only drawback was the hotel prices - £5.00 for a bottle of water or cup of coffee!

however we failed to get an answer on how much a bottle was.

The drinks were very expensive too at the hotel cost us 25-30 euros for a bottle of wine!

The breakfast buffet has a large choice and the dinner menu very varied.

There are a choice of restaurants a short walk away

Excellent staff, rooms, food - and the views were amazing!

Fish is extortionate, buy lovely place to holiday.

The breakfast had a great choice & there are good restaurants in Baja to visit.

You now have to pay for a fresh fish or prawns.

Beautiful location and the quality of the service and food at this hotel are second to none.

The room was clean and had air conditioning if required - we didn't need it in May.

We stayed in Nelson 5, room was spotless and well maintained during our stay.

They also use the terrace with its  lovely views for dining when the weather permits.

There were also a load of ants running up and down our balcony ( next to a load of bushes)That day we saw 3 sea view rooms being cleaned for new visitors.

yes, that lego movie song sums up this place, everything from everyone being kind to the food to the view is just awesome and can’t wait to go back one day.

The bathroom was very dated as per images below, with worn out tiles, falling light fittings and a shower over bath with the water going hot/cold and an old shower curtain which stuck to your body when showering.

Although clean they were very dated with a shower attachment over the bath and old fashioned curtain- not the best

Also, the old fashioned shower ,with a shower curtain, required infinite patience to get it close to the right temperature.

This is old - there were a bathtub with shower curtain.

but clean, although the bathroom is tired with the shower in the bath badly positioned, which means the shower curtain wraps itself around you whilst trying to shower.

However it was quite gloomy and I do not like shower units in baths with nylon curtains.

The property needs a huge renovation, common areas are very dated and areas like the toilets have rotten doors and lights that switch off after couple minutes leaving you in the dark blind.

Our criticism was the shower in our room had a ridiculous curtain that clings to you no matter what, which was annoying and on check out, it was 10 am, and they wouldn't allow us any leeway on that, whereas other guests who checked out the day before were allowed until 12.

Small with grotty nylon shower curtains and bathtowels that have definately seen better days.Housekeeping was twice a day and very thorough.

There is a free shuttle to the ‘White beach’ which was rammed every time we went, so not easy to get a decent spot.

We bought one from a beach seller in the end for 15 euros.

Possible to go to the beach for free with the hotel shuttle bus.

A free shuttle service was supplied by the hotel to take you to White Beach.

The hotel room we were in was renovated and good sized with views to  courtyard and harbour in front.

So we took it upon ourselves to get the beach shuttle bus, where there was a restaurant and a beautiful beach to relax until we could check in.

Hotel runs a shuttle bus daily to the most beautiful beach; definitely recommend going.

Highly recommend a trip to the beach via the complimentary bus supplied by the hotel.

There is a free shuttle bus which takes you to the beach from the hotel and back.

However it is situated on the bus route to Olbia centre & there is a complimentary shuttle bus to the beach.

We rented car so we were able to visit close to 10 beach around Costa smeralda and Olbia.

But it is a complex placed in a industry area, away from the beach and the city center.

I would recommend visiting Porto Cervo which is a 40min bus journey from Olbia, a lovely quiet beach, shopping area and a luxury harbour with super yachts!

That said, the beach is beautiful and has a wonderful restaurant (be prepared to be eaten by mosquitoes if you eat there in the evening).

Initially nothing worked in the room, the phone was broken, the safe was beeping all night and could not be locked, air con controls were disabled and when we plugged the kettle in it blew the room fuse.

The furniture in the room was terribly old and extra bad legs were broken.

It does need some attention (eg giant piles of broken furniture in view of needs taking to the tip!! ), new carpets, new sofas in the reception hall (very grubby!)

It has been hard to shower in the room and the shower curtain is broken.

Not 4 Star at all, dirty, manager no where to be seen, most sun beds broken, not even enough enough to sit on, every breakfast they ran out of plates, bowls and cups, evening buffet, was the worst ever!

The next room was ok on the surface despite having a broken fridge door which come off the hinges and a sink where water spilled directly through to the floor; they were courteous enough to fix both.

Pool facilities were dirty, food was poor with no plates or cups, no clean towels, room had a water leak in ceiling, charge to have clean pool towels, broken sun beds, no lifeguard at pool.

Reception Staff so unhelpful and rude, they continually denied air conditioning was broken at al.

Broken bed, broken door handle 2 out of 4 nights with no air conditioning with a 6 month old baby.

The room was room very nice the window had a very large crack across it so we could not open it went to have a bath the water was not hot and to make it worse it was brown there was no plug in the shower there shower over the bath was broken so could not use that.

although look closer and tiles are missing and on one of the water jet chairs was a really sharp edge where something had broken off.

But when things are broken because it's too old, well it's something we don't even see in 1 star hostel anymore.
