All with a nice view of the bay and of the city (San Diego).

though the hotel doesn't have a beach, there is a great pool with views of the bay, San Diego skyline, and Coronado Bridge.

Resort was clean, pool/hot tub were nice with beautiful views of the bay & city.

but the room itself was clean and had great Bay views.

We went back to the desk to complain, and here’s where they good comes in: the manager Rick totally rocked and upgraded us to 194, which was twice the size, overlooked the bay, and had a bigger bathroom with full shower and separate soaking tub.

It was fantastic to have bicycle at the hotel.

The pool and play lawn are wonderful and the Bay views are excellent.

I had a bay view room with balcony overlooking the bay.

The view of the bay was lovely & we had a patio with outdoor  furnitures to enjoy the breathtaking skyline of san diego bay.

The overall service of the Hotel was great, the rooms were awesome, location for me having the view of the bay just put me in a state of calmness.

This impressive facility offers a lovely pool with view of the bay and San Diego.

We love the large rooms, the gorgeous views of the Bay and all its maritime activity, the pools, the spa, the pedestrian path along the Bay, and the relative peacefulness—since the property is tucked into a side street across from the hospital.

Our 3rd Floor Bay View Room was spacious and modern.

The hotel was very well appointed, beautiful pool and shoreline overlooking San Diego harbour.

but also a great view of the Coronado Bridge.

At the base of the Coronado bridge right on the bay, it features spectacular views of San Diego - a real treat at night, especially if there are fireworks during a Padres game.

We booked a room facing downtown San Diego with a great view of the Coronado bridge.

Stayed here in November 2017, real nice property loved going over the Coronado Bridge everyday.

The location of this property is fantastic, going over the Coronado bridge we could get anywhere in 15 mins or less.

The hotel is located right off the Glorietta St exit from the Coronado bridge.

The room we were in had a large balcony with view of the bay and Coronado Bridge and swimming pool.

Our room (128) on the ground floor looked directly across the water to San Diego with a view of the Coronado Bridge.

It is only fifteen minutes from the airport and has a beautiful view of San Diego Bay, downtown San Diego and the Coronado bridge.

Hidden cost of Resort fee and nightly car park charge of $40 a real sting in the tail.

My toddler continued to cry, so I was forced to unbuckle him from his car seat and bring both kids back to the lobby with my credit card.

One last note: we had issues with the parking gates because our keys weren't coded correctly, we got a $20 F&B credit as an unprompted service recovery which was nice.

but never got to check to see whether the issue was fixed, because the key card reader for the gate didn't work the last 2 days we were there.

They sit you and that's when the amateur hour waiting game starts, we had to wait 15 mins for someone to stop over and provide coffee, once we ordered I had to charge my phone 2x because the wait was soooo long, actually 31 mins.

I was not charged for it despite the website stating a $15 fee), and definitely free for those with Bonvoy status.

This entire booking and billing experience was a very stressful fiasco as I had to deal with very incompetent staff who did not process or communicate anything to me on a timely basis.

this really is not acceptable for those of us who have had to pay this charge

although the credit card company already advised that there were no pending changes.

I thought the room was very basic and desperately in need of a refresh given the prices that they are charging (from rugs to bedding to toiletries).

STOP charging Platinum members (and above) for a "breakfast upgrade".

I was charged $7 because my 5 year old took a piece of bacon.. no signs..no explanation.

Worse, after March 15, they begin charging a resort fee for them.

Today is check our day and when I arrived to the front same exact staff member Alessandra checked ya out and said I will be charging the full amount to your visa and I said NO there is an American Express on file and she stated oh we can’t charge that card we would need the actual card I have to use your card.

but charging what they charge for not even a star of service is beyond a stretch.

All she did was took a copy of my credit card and then handed me my room key and a piece of paper that said there was a resort fee and a list of some items included in the fee.

At the low price that the hotel was charging, I was not expecting 5-stars service and it turned out to be true that the hotel is somewhere below 5-stars.

however the added charges a little frustrating.

She remembers me from year to year as "the vegan", greets me with her warm smile, and takes care of me at the company breakfast and lunch buffets, pointing out which foods are vegan or getting something specially prepared for me from the kitchen.

Merely a casita with kitchenette, living space and very large bathroom with jetted tub and separate dressing area.

Aside from the disappointing beds, the room was nice: spacious, large screen tv, coffee maker and spacious bathroom.

- In addition to three floors of tiered rooms in the main hotel building, they have "cottage" units which are single story and have two rooms and a small kitchen area.

Rooms r big and have a refrigerator which is nice for an upscale resort, especially if u have kids.

Also, a pleasant surprise to find a mini fridge.

We were home bound for all Shabbat and The kitchen staff made sure we had our kosher (bought elsewhere) warmed and even got us paper plates!

Our villa was perfect; gray hardwood floors ; a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator , ( enough for cheeses , wine , beer , lunch stuff ,

The room had many great amenities, was quite spacious, had a well supplied kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and the rollout sofa is perfect for families and guests.

- the rooms were very nice, large with both a tub and shower staff, fridge, and our bed was comfy.

Little kitchen, glass door to our own patio, parking spot, Keurig, Big tub, sofa, big tv, etc.

The island is beautiful and has many places to eat or have a cup of coffee.

There was a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities with free bottled water every day.

My room had nice features, workstation, coffee maker, couch, comfortable bed, and large bathroom with separate shower and tub.

Thirdly, it was nice that a small fridge was in the room,

The room has nice amenities like small fridge, coffee/tea station, and fancy toiletries.

We could park right out front, it had its own kitchen, living room area and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.

Stayed at a villa and that affords you the opportunity to get some stuff to keep in the kitchen.

We had a nice room facing the bay and enjoyed watching the tug boats escorting the cruise and military ships in and out of the harbor.

The grounds were really beautiful - you can walk along the harbor, there are flamingos and ducks, and besides the pool area there is corn hole, ping pong and other fun lawn games.

I would highly recommend the Del over the Marriott.

I preferred the relaxing atmosphere of our home base and the price vs Hotel del Coronado.

We have also stayed at the Del many times over the years.

- The layout is quite sprawling yet still comfy—three floors offer spacious rooms facing the picturesque San Diego harbor, or along the periphery of the property.

Not far from Coronado restaurants and not far from the beach and Del Coronado Hotel.

We enjoyed the location of the Marriott very much because it was within walking distance to many restaurants and there were free shuttle buses running every 15 minutes that will take you to the Hotel Del Coronado, beaches, shopping, and etc.

Now in summer there is also a free shuttle bus to transport visitors to the shops and the Del Coronado Hotel.

Our room also had a nice view of the marina.

I loved all of the shops and restaurants, fabulous beach and beautiful décor at the Del -

overall I would stay here over the Del or air b n bs on the island any day of the week.

We went up to the Hotel Del Coronado one day and were surprised at how much more crowded and hectic the Hotel Del was than the Marriott.

My wife and I had a very pleasant walk from the Marriott to the hotel Del Coronado.

We even got a nice firework display in the harbor at night.

Right on the water so you can watch a variety of boats cruising in and out of the harbor.

Otherwise it was a great stay and very close to hotel Del Coronado.

We also took a bus ride to the Del Coronado Hotel, which was memorable, with so much history.

This place was beautiful; from our Bayview Room with 2 double beds & a sofa which had a view of the bridge & city harbor, to the pool, lobby area & outside resort.

The Hotel Del, Glorietta Bay Inn, and Leow's (the Marriott's biggest competition on the island) all have two queen bed rooms.

Very expensive for only reasonable accommodations.

I explained to her that there was no reason for this and that we'd find it out in the morning, and if there are any fees, I would be paying.

I’ve stayed at close to 100 hotels and this is by far the worst resort for the cost.

A poor 3 star at most, very noisy, this hotel rates itself very highly

but as a woman I would not stay alone at this hotel- as a mother and simply a person who expects my privacy, especially when not paying seedy hotel rate for a room- I would not return.

Parking was also expensive, $40/day for self parking.

Management should train the cusotmer front people and tech them that is cusomter that pays their salaries not the hotel itself .

And the prices are $500 per night - this is not a luxury hotel.

Parking is expensive at $35 and the resort fee of $40 (plus tax) doesn’t really give you anything.

I would expect these with a low rate property not a Marriott Resort property!

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that there was some confusion with our reservation - we booked the rate with breakfast included

I don’t see how the hotel can justify expecting people to pay those costs ..I only wanted a room for one night, not a timeshare of one of the rooms

Asked for a rate reduction and was given $100 off for the room, when in fact the difference between a bay view room and no view room is significantly more.

Ours had around a 1" gap which let considerable light/debris/noise in effecting the tranquility of our stay/

Again for over $600/nite - $750 after taxes and fees they need to do better! !

Given the amount  we paid (be aware that there is a resort fee & it doesn't include parking), we probably won't be back to this location.

Unfortunately,  there were too many negatives for us to rate this property higher or stay again.

The food was good and the setting is really beautiful.

Great service from all staff I encountered and great proximity to restaurants and shops .. highly recommend !

but it's close to some shops and restaurants if you don't want to walk that far.

It has some nice amenities including a pretty good outside restaurant.

Sergio, Jose, Joe as servers in the restaurant for breakfast have all been here for years and provide the best morning breakfast experience you can ever dream of.

Plenty of pool noodles for the kids and about a half dozen floats that will
Inflate.

Nice hotel with a good location and restaurant, right on the island walk/bike trail. But beware the daily resort fee for amenities (gym, tennis, etc.)

The restaurant also had great food , great service , and a nice view .

A short, lovely walk to stores and restaurants.

Rocio, the host at Albaca, the wonderful restaurant on site, the servers, housekeeping.

but within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the ferry.

Awesome pool and restaurant area within hotel.

The Marriott did a fine job with catered meals.

However, it has pools and walkable access to a lot of shopping and restaurants.

It's possible to walk to Orange Avenue and several eateries at the nearby Ferry Landing,

The location is convenient to shopping on Orange Avenue, some good restaurants with in a 5-10 minute walk or a short drive.

Loved the location….close to walking path, golf, stores & restaurants.

Hotel: The hotel is a really pleasant resort with a large main building which houses the restaurant, bar, coffee shop, main pool and pool bar.

The dinner at the restaurant was great and the service by Likaa was excellent.

The room was large, the balcony was large, and the beds were comfortable.

Loved the waterfront view from room 283.. able to watch the kids play ping pong from my balcony with the skyline as the backdrop !

It was such a great setup and plenty of room for us.

We were celebrating a family birthday and with our children and grandchildren visiting, the spacious room and balcony were perfect for getting us organized before heading to the pool.

The hotel is fine - clean and the room large enough for us - the pool and hot tub the highlight.

If you can get a room with a view of downtown San Diego at night.

Room was cleaned to expectations and fairly quickly on our first day.

The room was lovely and everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful .

special call out to Rick at the front desk for making my family feel at home, taking care of our luggages before our room is ready, and always attentive to our needs whenever we come across the lobby.

Rooms were super spacious and comfortable.

The rooms are well equipped, modern, and clean.

My room was fairly spacious and had two queen beds, a small fold out sofa, and a two person table with chairs.

The grounds and interior courtyards are lovely and there are many peek a boo vistas even if you don't have a waterfront room.

We were given a great room at the furthest end of the north wing with two rooms and two balconies.

The beds were comfortable and the room is very spacious.

This hotel has nice views of San Diego and the bay.

I would recommend getting a car - we drove a lot while we were here because we wanted to sightsee around San Diego.

When staying on Coronado island or the greater San Diego area I highly recommend this Resort.

We love San Diego and always desire to stay at Marriotts as we were Marriott Bonvoy Members.

Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for families visiting San Diego.

Great views, good food, good rooms

Finally with San Diego and especially Coronado being a military town this property needs to respect the flag code- our great flag should ALWAYS fly higher than any other flag, especially the Marriott flag!

We ate at least ten meals — breakfasts, lunches, and dinners — out on the beautiful patio restaurant overlooking the Coronado Bay Bridge and the San Diego skyline.

San Diego is my wife and I’s favorite vacation spot as there is so much to do and see.

Dining alfresco with a very cool breeze coming off the San Diego bay, the heaters kept us warm.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego, whether they were exploring Coronado or the city!

Stayed there last 11/18/22 on my birthday with my family, the sheets have blood and booger, and we changed rooms (what a hassle) front desk was not apologetic.

Arrived to room our room and it smelled like complete mold.

but when we checked in, the room smelled really musty and moldy.

It was like someone emptied a can of febreeze to cover up a bad odor.

When picking something up off the floor, I noticed that the baseboards were filthy; absolutely black with dirt.

I had to order spa slippers in order to avoid walking barefoot on it. Gross.

We had three rooms in our reservation and they all had a musty old smell to them.

The property is wildly enthusiastic about letting clients wallow in their own filth while the staff ignore them and put cleaning off until after they have gone.

The patio furniture needs to be replaced, the seat cushions are all torn up and nasty!

That is, with the exception of a small little insect crawling in the bathroom sink (looked like a stink bug maybe).

but stained carpet, our toilet (no doubt in the pursuit of water conservation) smelled like a a park service one after a day or so and sloppy housekeeping.

We got our room key and went up to the room ;
Coronado island Marriott resort was pretty dirty in the hall way - we said ok.  
We got to the room and we had a really strong bad smell like pest control.

Unfortunately, the cigarette smoke was overwhelming.

-I didn't find the bed super comfortable and it was very hot (mattress not breathing  well combined with the high room temp)

For breakfast outside:
-two mornings I had to turn over my chair cushion because I did not want to sit in bird poop.

The tuna had a bad smell and I just couldn’t eat it.

The skyline is beautiful and the pool/hot tub were nice.

This resort is in a great location overlooking the harbor.

We loved sitting in lounge chairs on the lawn in the evening enjoying the views.

but you’re right on the water (bay) with amazing views.

View very nice and the bed was comfortable.

It's near a small man made beach along with a jogging trail and has great views of the Naval Station and Bridge.

While we have also stayed on Coronado's ocean side, the Marriott's location provides a completely different experience, and that all starts with the excellent staff that work there.

Great views, amazing food, and lots to do for the kids.

The location is close to the airport and they have a free shuttle.

The location is everything; in Liberty Station, near downtown, near airport, near Coronado, near everything along the coast, and it is right by a waterfront that is easy to access for a nice early morning or late evening stroll.

Definitely would recommend based on overall amenities, proximity to airport and friendliness of staff.

this CY is close to the airport with the free shuttle makes it a strong contender.

This hotel hits the mark for that quick stay close to the airport.

For dependable quality and the convenience of being close proximity to the airport, I highly recommend the hotel.
