Eventually we were switched to a room half the size BUT with a balcony overlooking beach which is what we cared about.

I wanted a balcony beach view  and my wife and I couldnt have been happier.

It has a beautiful view over the beach and ocean.

It had a great balcony with a beach sea view, were we relaxed with a glass of wine after a day at the sunny beach.

We spent 7 nights here (my wife and I), the room I chose had a balcony overlooking the sea and beach, which lie just across a pedestrian street in front of the hotel.

It was called La Regatta and is on a pier out on the sea.

but it is close enough to have a great view of the beach.

I love walking, and the location of the hotel was excellent to enjoy this activity towards the beach and the sea.

We had a nice view of the beach from our room.

The assign us a room with twin beds which was very good, big and with a nice beach view.

We had a room with a wonderful view to the beach!

The room we were assigned had a partial view of the beach and the sea.

Very large room, I had a view of both the beach and poolside of the hotel.

I stayed with my mother in a huge room with an excellent view to the beach!

We had a nice view onto the beach just across from the boardwalk.

We stayed at Hotel Casablanca from May 24th through the 28th and everything we can say about this place is extremely positive: location, breakfast, room, air conditioning, view, cleanliness,

Fantastic breakfasts, great beach access, hotel restaurants were good.

The buffet breakfast had a good variety of options .

The hospitality is excellent, luxurious rooms and delicious food.

The facility was clean, breakfast was included with all sorts of options.

The buffet is typical for all-inclusive/full board option

The breakfast buffet is amazing and offers a lot of varieties also vegetarian which is great.

Breakfast every morning had a wide variety of dishes that were always fresh and appetizing.

but there were only a few in Casablanca so I was lucky.. Also a very robust breakfast buffet complete with everything and it feautured different items throughout the week.

I have to say the restaurants on the property were excellent.

They have a great breakfast buffet and stellar restaurants on the outside of the hotel for lunches and dinners.

The hotel also has 3 more restaurants with different kind of food (pasta, international)
The beach is in front of the hotel and it was really easy to enjoy.

You can step straight from the pool area to the promenade and beach

The restaurants take a bit of explanation - there are four - the restaurant inside the hotel offers free breakfast and dinner.

Just like the service at the hotel restaurants.

We tried out all the new restaurants in the hotel and had excellent meals in all of them.

On the first night we went for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, food was OK

The included Breakfast buffet is delicious, and the hotel restaurant is one of the best in the Island.

the hotel has great food, great rooms,  a few  steps to the beach, great customer service 
the villas are very big for a large family group, the pool is kind of small,

The hotel is really great, kind people, clean and organized rooms, great Service and amazing food make this hotel a great destination to be on a Paradise island.

We asked for them to figure out an agreement with a near by hotel for pool service, which they did,

The food was good, the pool was nice, the grounds were maintained and kept clean and you get a real sense that they’re trying here.

I think to make up for the confusion the night before, the hotel moved us to a two-story, two-bedroom cabana by the pool.

Cold AC,  newly remodeled rooms, heavily staffed with personnel and a nice pool.

The pool was extremely hot at the end of the day,

There are a nice pool and a beautiful solarium on the roof.

but we enjoyed hanging around the pool and bar so much that all is forgiven.

It's right next to the beach, lots of shops in easy walking distance, super friendly staff, nice pool (not huge,

It has a nice pool and the rooms room was very comfortable.

On the good side it was clean, liked the pool and had a good meal at the restaurant.

but expensive drinks by Island standards.

but I feel I paid too much for what I got.

Too high price does not match the level of the hotel.

but it is very expensive for what you get.

However,the price was very high for the quality and costumer service.

The prices are quite expensive though, e.g.

Not only was the hotel over priced to begin with, when we arrived the lady at the reception proceeded to tell us we needed to pay per head as opposed to our booking of the entire room.

but instead they announced us that it would cost us more than 100USD per night for any additional persons, what a scam!

Make sure you have lots of Columbian pesos, it was a bit expensive to change dollars and our interac card did not work.

I do not see how a room where I cannot even stand in the shower could cost so much.

Quite why the hotel bothers is beyond me - either put the prices up a bit and make it really good or just get rid

Outside of the hotel there are a further 4 (I think) restaurants owned by the hotel - one cafe - one Asian inspired restaurant, an Italian and finally one more local.

So, if you do not mind paying an extra fee they do not tell you about then I recommend this place.

They could offer more in their all-inclusive packages for the price paid, since not a lot of time is spent at the hotel.

but the prices were a bit steep compared to the beach.

They got us the rooms we booked and 2 of them had a nasty musty humid smell.

The smell of dump was surprisingly even worse than the 1st room and there was a gigantic bubble of infiltration in my ceiling right above my side of the bed.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel:
- the air conditioning smells terrible humid
- the room has no balcony or window to open big and so there is noc chance to get a wet swim wear dry.

- The strong chemical smell in the hallways was so horrible that we wanted to vomit every time we stepped out of our room.

I'm wondering what chemicals are put into the water?

Our room smelled terribly because the room next door was being painted and they share an absurd technical shaft; as solution, the staff sprayed the cabaña with tons of flower scent.

but they could have cleaned the windows as they were filthy.

The first night I had dinner in their restaurant  and it flooded because they don't have proper drainage, see attached pictures.

The pool area (see photos) is a disaster right now, smells like chemicals and has construction materials everywhere.

And don't drink the water which was obvious from the smell and the sign next to the sink saying water is not safe for human consumption.

the room allocated had a leak and smelled very musty and not because the weather, it was because the leak.

Some minor details are: a slight mildew smell in the room, which was somewhat covered by perfume which I guess they spray in the rooms for this very reason.

There was a very bad smell in the room of sweat.

Avoid bungalow number 3 as it is smelly (humidity?

I only didn't like a strange smell in the reception and the view from my room, I mean it would've been amazing if it weren't for the not finished construction right next to the hotel, with a big puddle of standing water inside that could attract many mosquitos and even bad smell (it didn't happen

Be aware, there seem to be no smoke alarms - that may be the norm on the island.

However, the Colombians have made improvements to the island, it is still overall a dirty place where you will have a small nice section and right beside it will be a pile of smelly trash.

The hotel was close enough to walk to Amazing restaurants, bars & shopping.

The bar is regular and good for all ages,

Your room is only ready at 3 pm on the day you arrive if your early you have to pay extra to use the buffet and bar.

People that works there are like angry ALL THE TIME, except for the night shift Manager and a lady working on a bar.

The natural pool was great and the bar had a nice selection of drinks to choose from.

The a la carte reservations are made for the same day now which is a great improvement and they have an espresso bar there for those of us that are there at 7 am to reserve our restaurant.

People at the lobby are not that friendly compared to for example people at the bars.

Deck lounge, beautiful views, plenty of lounge chairs and a nearby bar.

The swim up bar bar tender was always kind and helpful.

Mario from Texoro (good place for Emeralds) opened a Reggae bar and restaurant and it is quite good and reasonably price.

There is a coffee bar next to where you make reservations.

Then being given the room immediately above the bar, pool, restaurant and entertainments area was an added shock which we weren't accepting (at this point Vivienna was particularly helpful and lovely).

On the positive side, there is a bar at the beach with a menu of about tweny mixed drinks.

At night, there are places to sit and lay back and enjoy the sea breeze, entertainment on the boardwalk, a bar and just a very enjoyable experience.

The hotel have a lot of activities to do; in the night, you can go to the nightclubs, enjoy a delicious dinner, or just chill in the beach.

When I was in San Andres, I stayed at the Decameron Aquarium Hotel, I loved this hotel, the food was delicious, the staff were very attentive also this hotel has a beautiful view.

When the breakfast buffet filled up the staff would actually lock the door to keep more guest from coming in, They did leave the keys in the lock so people could leave

The food was very good in the two buffet styles restaurants.

The food int the buffet restaurants is ok, the same flavor everyday, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The strong points in my opinion are:
-Food: excellent choice at the buffet.

Iris and the omelette lady at Breakfast keep service rolling with a smile.

The women at the omelette station knew my order in the am.

New years Eve there was even Lobster on the buffet!!

The buffets served a variety of fresh food, no complaints there.

Sharlene at the poolside buffet was the BEST!!

The hotel has 4 a la carte restaurants and 2 buffet.

The buffet offered 3 times a day was marginal.

Buffet services for breakfast , lunch dinners are excellent at the BARRACUDA's restaurant , also you can reserve other restaurants such as LA BRUJA , which is nice for a dinner , and the food is acceptable , do not make a lot of expectations about it.

Food in the buffets are ok, the restaurants are much better,

The table service restaurants required early reservations that were a hassle for us and we honestly liked the food at the buffet restaurants better.

We ate at the buffet which service was great they kept your table clear I do wish however they went more out of their way to bring you drinks so you didn't have to get them yourselves, I know it sounds lazy

The food was great buffet style for all meals and snacks available all day.

Buffet restaurants are very good, good food, self-served.

I would like to say that the food in the buffet was so good, quality so good, been best than the restaurants such they had at night where you must to access just by previously reservation.

The buffet restaurants and ok, breakfasts are pretty much the same every day

Good food with different restaurants some of them are buffet style.

Nice hotel in San Andres Island, buffet restaurant was OK for breakfast and lunch, snacks were nice (sausages are outstanding), dance shows were great.

The buffet restaurants of your own hotel are there for you,

We only tipped twice for breakfasts and the nights we were at restaurant.

but to use the restaurants you have to sign-in in advance or go to the buffet where the food is not of the best quality.

In the day, you can diving, rent a boat, enjoy the pool, etc

Visit the west point its such fun, Aqua nautis and the diving board and the slide.

(or you can buy it, there are some very good diving shops)

We had booked scuba diving boat trip from the locals and a tour of the island bus trip, which includes a visit to a botanical garden, a colonial home with dance performance by the locals, a stop by the beach with blow hole etc.

Diving office there is also very serviceable with tourists.

This is the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the region.

I would definitely recommend going here for your diving.

I will bring all my own dive equipment and i always belong to dan emergency evacuation , for diving incidents.

As for the diving, well this was another big disappointment.

I also went diving with Mario and he's a great tour operator - 2 thumbs up.

He's a great guide. The West View offers Scuba Diving, a jumping board, Scafander exploration, a long slide into the ocean (wooo!)

Back to the activities: Scuba diving - 2 of us went once and wish we had gone again.

You can hear every noise from the other room (AC for example which is very very loud) and from the corridor.

Our bedroom was close to the pool which was very noisy with pool parties and shows almost all day long and until 11pm.

but it was facing the pier which can get noisy.

A loud speaker blasted much of the day and night drowning out the sounds of wind and sea.

Never ever accept to stay in tower 16, it is in front of a discoteck and one of the hotel's restaurants is in the first floor, too noisy!

We took a couple of pool chairs away from the pool to get away from the noise and were told "these chairs are for the pool".

What I didn't like: altough there is a big sign "swim at your own risk" they do no permit you to enter the beautiful private beach before 9 am and after 6 pm - and I need to say the private beach looks like a swimming pool and is shallow. What I hated: reggaeton playing loudly in the bar all day - and

but they never did and the noise continued every day.

Pool were a little bit too noisy so we didn't went back.

After hearing comments from other people who'd been to this hotel, I wasn't really expecting to find all the comfort and standard you might expect at these kinds of resorts in other places like Mexico or Punta Cana,

Meals are all inclusive at the 4 restaurants

The negatives--The door is extremely thin and we were awakened several times by a neighbor knocking on a door trying to get back in after they lost their keys.

but to our disappointment we received a room in a noisy part of the hotel, right on top of the bar and the view we had was a construction site of another hotel.

Walls are paper thin,  you could hear people talking outside your room or toilet flushing next to your room.

I couldn't hear anything for all the noise so went up and asked and we finally got called before I could get the chance to speak to someone, This is the biggest waste of time and the most ridiculous system.

Unfortunately the reception (both check in and check out) is a total disaster (caotic, disorganized and unfriendly) and the room have an horrible smell of milldew. Be aware as well that the night entertainment can be pretty loud and last until midnight (and you can hear everything from your room with closed windows)

Our room was in the tower and if you want any peace and quite do not stay here, very very noisy.

We found out on the plane back that other travelers who stayed at other hotels got sick as well as many others did at our hotel.

The girl on the desk to reserve restaurant almost sleep at the office.

How is this all inclusive since nothing is available, snacks just for a few hours and limited, restaurants if you have luck and can make a reservation.

First they booked as to another hotel that is closed (Delfines) then they sent as here.

Most ocean activities were cancelled so the option was to sit in the hotel room as there were no other activities.

buffet food was not good and getting a reservation to the good restaurants was only possible for 1 hour every morning and you could only make 1 reservation per day.

If you want to reserve some place for the dinner you have to wake up 6:00 am, otherwise the queue is too long that probably you can find place only in the Thai restaurant.

Ah, last thing, if you want to have dinner at the "Special Menu Restaurants" make sure you wake up at 6:30 am to make a line for a reservation, otherwise if you arrive by 7:30, you will never get a place to dinner.

The rooms are very basic and you have to reserve an iron, they lend them out for 20 minutes at a time.

Those who booked through the company website did not have to go through the check-in process we and most people have to.

however need to think of a new system for booking reservations which as you've read in prior posts it's a pain to get in line at 7am to request a specific restaurant for that day or night and then be denied the request because there are only a 630 & 830 seating.

Now there is no doubt that the reservation system is a pain at 730am

but due to poor weather the sea was closed and we received a refund.

You can only make reservations for the same day.

We ended up staying at Aquarium because Isleno was fully booked.

Then you have this backwards system of booking for a la carte restaurants which has to be done at certain times only ON THE DAY meaning you must stand in queues for ages before having a hope of booking a table.

But you have to wake up at 6:30 am to do the line in order to get a reservation and by the time you get to be the first on the line they tell you . ."

I can only imagine what it is like when the hotel is fully booked.

however if there are things to improve, the reservation is really difficult to these you have to wake up a 7:00 and wait 45 minutes, i haven't tried the el patio steak restaurant for this reason because i was diving in the morning.

The food was overcooked and under seasoned , and it was almost impossible to reserve space in the "specialty" dining rooms.

Bait and switch, deceptive business practice in the name of “pandemic.”

I can fly on a packed plane, bounce to any bar or restaurant on the island except the ones I have prepaid (all-inclusive) to visit at Decameron.

The service was lame, in order to be a All inclusive and for the price we paid.

It is a plus for Decameron San Andrés packages…
	
Be aware of the all inclusive cocktail experience.

As this is an all-inclusive, we had most of our meals there and the food was quite enjoyable, with a special Gala meal for Dec. 31st.

The hotel has an all buffet inclusive, every day we ate fruits, differents cheeses, meat, salads and sea food.

Definitely one of the best all inclusive resorts we've stayed at.

My wife and I visited San Andres Island in November of 2005, and this was my first trip to an all-inclusive resort.

You just need to have your Decameron all inclusive bracelet with you.

Food was actually not bad for an all inclusive.

Back in January 2012 we had our first experience in an all-inclusive resort!
