The best place to stay close to the beach and nature.

Beautiful little hotel with great service surrounded by animals with a private beach.

There is a fabulous hotel in Salinas-El Faro, an ecological lodge right on La Milina beach in Salinas.

Being able to work in my room, at the tables or in a hammock close to the beach was great.

If you’re looking to escape from cold and bitter weather like today nothing better than the beach.

Such an interesting place: lush green foliage, big tall trees, right on the beach.

but also to have contact with some peacocks, parrots, turtles, monkeys and a couple of beautiful dogs, all of that steps away from the beach in a forest like enviroment.

The point of the Hosteria gives a wonderful view of the Peninsula of Salinas and the loud beats of reggaeton seem far in the distance as the mighty waves dutifully ebb and flow along the quiet cove.

The place has an entrance to a private beach, where spent our mornings.

The wifi was reliable and there was a network connection for the building the rooms are located in and the outer deck by the beach so there is a strong connection across the entire property.

Place have beach view.few min away from Malecon Salinas.Large and clean rooms with comfortable beds.

And we swam in the sea at the hotel's private beach.

There is private beach access that is great for letting the kids play or for soothing walks on the beach.

He showed us the best beaches, restaurants, landmarks.

It was nice to come back to the lodge at night and enjoy our own wine sitting by the beach or lounging in the hammock.

The jungle-like setting and sound of chirping birds was truly magical, especially during breakfast which was also such a treat.

Opposite of the Lodge is a nice restaurant with delicious meal and also very friendly service.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, great coffee, and an incredible view of the ocean from a special seating area.

The animals were amazing - one of the little squirrel monkeys would sleep on my lap during breakfast.

She was so excited of having the beach right just steps away, also delicious food in the restaurant on-site, my brother that love animals astonish for the beautiful peacocks

The habitats are front and center in the Hosteria and you and your family can enjoy breakfast alongside some of Ecuador's most beautiful fauna.

Breakfast (complimentary) was delicious, fresh, and simple every morning and you can order lunch to be made - they ask you what time, what you want (they pick up what you choose from the market and prepare it fresh), and very affordable.

Along with eggs ande fresh breads and jam, more than enough.

Breakfasts were always delicious and enjoyable.

Our room was super spacious and comfortable, and breakfast (included) was delicious.

The little squirrel monkey that joined you for breakfast was the highlight of my stay.

The breakfasts here at the El Faro were good with the best juices imaginable.

Each morning we were served a great breakfast and then head out for the day.

Rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly, especially the owner, Gabriel.

The staff at El Faro were so kind and kept our room clean and stocked with fresh towels, clean sheets, clean floors (we were always coming home sandy from the beach), and drinking water.

The rooms were all clean, and cleaned the moment we left (for our return).

The room was clean and comfortable and the ac worked well.

I was greeted with a warm welcome from both Julio and Gabriel who continued to make me feel like an honored guest throughout my stay.

Wonderful service and the owner is a great guy.

This  place is special it’s like going in to a different  mystic place it reminds me of the show fantasy Island , 
The owner it’s so nice and if you have any problems he will get it fix sap , he gave us a tour of the area and he recommended we’re we can eat , the food at his place it’s clean and good

but we took a chance and had a real authentic experience of Ecuador and the larger than life personality that is Gabriel.

Owner Gabriel treated us like family rather than paying guests, meeting us at the bus terminal and taking us on an impromptu tour of the Chocolateria and other sights, all his recommendations were perfect.

He made us feel extremely comfortable and was very helpful.

The view in the back is gorgeous and I love the animals.

It's like a secret garden right by the ocean.

The greenery and ocean scene from the terrace it absokutely amazing.

Lodge overlooks the ocean in the back with a nice upper deck to relax, read, etc.

The ocean view is breathtaking and unlike many places, they actually have a place to sit or lay down and enjoy the sound and beauty of the ocean from the resort!

There was a beautiful view of the downtown Salinas.

I can’t say enough regarding the amazing experience that I enjoyed at this oceanfront tropical paradise!!

We went to Playa Chipipe, La 
Chocolatera, La Lobería, and ate at a restaurant called Luv N’ Oven with some amazing seafood (try the Corvina, or Sea bass).

Had a really great time staying at this hostel, nice environment, the service is amazing, and has a great view, would definitely come back.

The one bar area overlooks the ocean The sunsets are perfect.

3  wonderful patios to enjoy the Salinas skyline & sunsets overlooking the beach or others to let you feel as if you are in the amazon.

There is a deck at the end of the garden, overlooking the ocean, which is simply stunning.

set on the edge of the Pacific, our favorite place is a raised deck looking out on the water.

Big Ralph's hostal is a 10-minute walk from the beach and much more reasonably priced than the beachfront places.

The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away, and the malecon begins a 10- 15 minute walk away.

We stayed a night at Big Ralph’s on our way back down the Ecuadorian coast.

Ralph pointed the way to a more secluded beach.

The Hostel is an easy walk to the nearby beaches and several good restaurants.

but close enough to walk too  approx 10 mins to sandy beaches.

Not only is it a good 20 min walk away from the malecon (beach strip),

Located a few blocks off the beach, it was perfect for us.

It is open 5 nights a week and has the best food (by far) in Salinas.

There is a bar in addition to the restaurant and a secure car park at the back of the property.

I wanted to try his food first before we committed to stay over night.

though we mostly ate at the attached restaurant.

Even if you are not going to stay here, drop in for dinner, it's far from just fish and chips!!!

We really enjoyed our chats and the big beers while watching football(soccer) on TV.

The facilities are all properly done and the food is great.

The food here is 5 star, beautifully presented and the best we have had in Ecuador.

.and then the best bit is Ralph's food!!!

We noted that a number of expats living in the area came just for the food, so Ralph has obviously cemented his culinary reputation in the area.

Stayed three nights, great place, quiet, clean, food is very good, owners are extremely helpful, speak English.

Ralph is an amazing cook and serves the best fish and chips I've ever had.

The main entrance is through the restaurant so you are double-locked in at night.

Ralph and Andrea were very friendly and accommodating, and we were truly salivating over Ralph's gourmet cuisine - what a gem in Salinas!

The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the dinner meals were superb.

The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of hot water in the shower AND the window screen was sealed, which prevented any further mosquito bites!!

It was an inexpensive place where the rooms were clean with no frills.

Ralph and his wife, Andrea, were welcoming and helpful.

Ralph and Andrea run the place and are very helpful with suggestions of what to do and how to get there.

Staff were super friendly and helpful, as was the resident dog.

We met the dog and kids and the owners were just wonderful hosts and so full of information.

HERE'S YOUR BONUS, Ralph is a trained chef and has worked in some of the finest establishments in England.

Andrea helped us find our way around Salinas and was very accommodating to our needs.

The Staff was amazing, they tried everyday they could to make us comfortable.

to the owner offered me to take my to the "Chocolatera" because he know the place and because he wanted to show us that place.

but they are very polite and if you are not interested in their products as soon as you say 'no, gracias' they move along to the next visitor.

That's the true test of a gracious hostess.

Ralph and Andrea were most gracious and accommodating during my stay.

It's family-run so the owners are sometimes out preparing for the evening opening of the restaurant,

Ralph, Andrea and their staff are Super people, friendly and very helpful.

but it is a short walk to the beach and well worth it.

Big Ralph's is not in an ideal location for walking.

The hostel is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk along the Malecon to the main beach area.

The walk to the Malecon (Boardwalk) was about 10 mins from the hostel.

The place is a 1 minute drive or 5 minute walk from the Malecon and has several gas stations/stores/eateries within a block if you need anything they don't have.

I spent 4 nights At Ralph and Andrea's place and was welcomed and felt at home as soon as I walked through the gate.

The location was close enough to walk to the malecon and restaurants,

Ralph, Andrea, and their staff make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

This place is lasted right across from the beach on the main road in town.

Good hotel on the main beach road, clean comfortable room with balcony looking over the pool.

You couldn’t ask for a better location, directly facing the main beach and only a 25metres from the offices where the shuttle bus/taxi from Ecuador’s major cities will drop you off!

The hotel has a lovely patio that overlooks the beach and it is a great spot to sit and have a cold drink.

although we had the glassed in 'observation deck' which gave us a a/c, mosquito free view of the beach and street scene.

Great seafront restaurant with a great twist, the chef Jean-Yves Le Roux is from Paris France, excellent meal at affordable prices my wife had chicken cordon blue and I had the ribs in an exquisite sauce, plus a bottle of Carmenere $45.00 also the young waiter Vicente speaks good English yeh!

This affordable hotel is right in the middle of a buisy beach close to many restaurants.Really clean and they are really trying to keep it upgraded.

The room tho had a beach view was right over the street and very noisy.

While there isn't a safe in the room, there was a huge fridge plonked right by the bed!

But the location is great and you are right near a lot of things.

The hotel has one of the best beachfront locations.

but then again it has a great location if you can tolerate the noise factor.

Well position to go to Chipipe that we preferred as a beach to the Salines beach, you can walk 10 min.

I picked this primarily because of the location.

but was still very loud, awake every morning at 6;30am   with people and children talking 
room was not clean  even though they have daily made service.

Our room overlooked the street and it was a bit loud.

We were there during the weekend and it was loud, very loud with a dance party 40 meters from hotel.

The room was outrageously noisy and not at all sound proofed; the room was right by the pool and there was very loud music playing by the pool (starting at around 9am) and coming in from the street (until 4am!!!)

What is not good about it is that it is so loud at night from the street because it in right on the main street,  the malecon.

We only stayed 1night, because of the noise.

but the sound gets into the room, we could hear the people talking in the lobby at night.

I was there in low season, so pool noise was not a problem.

The soup was $9 and the large Pilsner was $2.50.

What is good about it is that is very clean and the rooms are pretty,  the staff is always nice and helpful.

The room smelt funny and the decor was not attractive at all.

The staff was super nice and very helpful.

The price was more than reasonable for a place right across from the beautiful beach and all kinds of recreation.

but after being on the beach we were all tired.

Wifi good, breakfast good, bar at night loved it (very tasty cocktails), hot water, beautiful view and very close to the beach.

Right in front of the beach great breakfast on everything in the room was really clean and modern the only thing is the receptionist from the afternoon what's North.

Really a great vibe, great energy, great hamburgers and fries, strong wifi, great staff who truly care (like Frank), great view of the whole beach, clean rooms and I must say the very hottest showers that I have experienced in all of Ecuador.

It was incredible to walk out the door, cross the street and be in the beach.

It is right on the beach and near many good restaurants.

Best location in front of the beach, and surrounded by local restaurants and stores.

the location is in front of San Lorenzo beach ans good for access Chipipe beach  
I believe Chesco's is perfect place for having fun for travel Salinas beach.

This hip spot on the beach is a place where you get your money's worth!

Note, the street noises permeate even the back rooms, from beach whistling to music to sirens.

It’s in a great location being on the seafront which is great for those hanging out in the bar

The view as we ate breakfast was absolutely stunning.

This place is clean and includes a friendly staff and breakfast.

It has included breakfast in a good value budget.

It was definitely a fun type atmosphere for young people.
