The best place to stay close to the beach and nature.

Beautiful little hotel with great service surrounded by animals with a private beach.

There is a fabulous hotel in Salinas-El Faro, an ecological lodge right on La Milina beach in Salinas.

Being able to work in my room, at the tables or in a hammock close to the beach was great.

If you’re looking to escape from cold and bitter weather like today nothing better than the beach.

Such an interesting place: lush green foliage, big tall trees, right on the beach.

but also to have contact with some peacocks, parrots, turtles, monkeys and a couple of beautiful dogs, all of that steps away from the beach in a forest like enviroment.

The point of the Hosteria gives a wonderful view of the Peninsula of Salinas and the loud beats of reggaeton seem far in the distance as the mighty waves dutifully ebb and flow along the quiet cove.

The place has an entrance to a private beach, where spent our mornings.

The wifi was reliable and there was a network connection for the building the rooms are located in and the outer deck by the beach so there is a strong connection across the entire property.

There is private beach access that is great for letting the kids play or for soothing walks on the beach.

It was nice to come back to the lodge at night and enjoy our own wine sitting by the beach or lounging in the hammock.

The jungle-like setting and sound of chirping birds was truly magical, especially during breakfast which was also such a treat.

Opposite of the Lodge is a nice restaurant with delicious meal and also very friendly service.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, great coffee, and an incredible view of the ocean from a special seating area.

The animals were amazing - one of the little squirrel monkeys would sleep on my lap during breakfast.

She was so excited of having the beach right just steps away, also delicious food in the restaurant on-site, my brother that love animals astonish for the beautiful peacocks

We went to Playa Chipipe, La 
Chocolatera, La Lobería, and ate at a restaurant called Luv N’ Oven with some amazing seafood (try the Corvina, or Sea bass).

Had a really great time staying at this hostel, nice environment, the service is amazing, and has a great view, would definitely come back.

The one bar area overlooks the ocean The sunsets are perfect.

3  wonderful patios to enjoy the Salinas skyline & sunsets overlooking the beach or others to let you feel as if you are in the amazon.

There is a deck at the end of the garden, overlooking the ocean, which is simply stunning.

Could have sat here all day watching the seabirds while enjoying a peaceful atmosphere and a wonderful lunch.

Under Yolanda's roof, you can venture off with confidence in the plans and come back to a welcoming and restful environment.

You can watch the whales jumping from this fabulous and rustic charming hotel on the cliff.

It is decorated very nicely with local antiques and other findings that might as well be part of "Pirates in the Caribbean".

I have to admit that the place is nicely decorated with navy things, staff is friendly, and the sunset view is beautiful from there.

The decor is a collection of nautical memorabilia from around the world and it is very extensive and envelopes the entire property, including a museum devoted to the nautical.

The hotel rooms and public areas are fully decorated with nautical paraphernalia and beautiful wood carvings.

Alberto was a sea captain and his personality shines through in all the decorating and artifacts throughout the restaurant, hotel and art gallery on premises.

The property is amazing with the maritime historical decorations anywhere one looks. P.S.

but from what other guests said, they are decorated with the same attention to decor and detail.

The restaurant is good, albeit, more U.S. cost.

Restaurant has a varied menu and great atmosphere, so we ate there each night (met interesting people, etc).

Now they have acquired a grill master who smokes ribs, pork chops, and chicken.

We had dinner there too and it was also very good.

The food (every day) and entertainment on Saturday nights (not every Saturday though) is very nice.

Our room, Nahia, overlooked the Pacific, had a gorgeous Pacific Ocean view, plenty of space and a comfortable bed.

We had a room over the restaurant with a balcony facing the ocean--great views.

Basically it is built on a cliff and some of the rooms are technically caves.

Some rooms were spectacular - specifically those on the cliff above the ocean.

My first room was down a spiral staircase hanging over the ocean, sound of waves and fishing boats passing by as my entertainment.

This rating is excellent because of the fact that when my wife contracted some sort of 24 hour malady the first full day we were there, Yolanda and her son, Douglas, sprang into action and really, really helped us navigate our way over to and through an emergency room visit.

The rooms are beautifully accented with marine items.

I alwasy get the room that is built into the side of the cliff and it seems like you are on a cruise ship you are so close to the ocean.See you next year.

Rooms are just what you would want and expect in an old lighthouse - wide-planked wooden floors, French doors out to the balcony overlooking the sea.

We had a Great 2nd Floor Room "ECHO" that overlooks the Pacific Ocean with its Never-ending surf/sounds!

The rooms (all having a shared balcony overlooking the Pacific below) are above the restaurant, and when we came down for breakfast, we felt like we were coming downstairs to our own living room and kitchen.

North of Santa Elena lies Ballenita with a fine beach area, fairly quiet for people wishing to get away.

The staff and owners are exceptionally kind.

An incredible place to get to, once you get to the parking lot you get the most amazing view from the ocean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast that is included was delicious, eggs, bread and a cup of good coffee.

Alberto and his wife Yolanda welcomed me as very gracious hosts where I stayed in a fabulous little "cabin" situated a third of the way down a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Yolanda, the captain and his staff are very helpful and friendly.

The first time we came an Ecuadorian friend brought us and introduced us to the owner and owner's son.

The owner suggested the oyster to start and we were amazed!

Paying the entrance you get a free water and can take a shower and asking leave your bags with the staff.

The staff at Hosteria Farallon Dillon is what makes this hosteria simply magnificent.

The front desk service was always helpful and available.

The personell was very nice with history explanation and all our requests.

The staff is very competent, friendly and completely Ecuadorian with Spanish only being spoken.

The views of the pacific are spectacular.

If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, away from all the noise and right in front of the ocean, connected to nature, this is it!

The next two times we took friends that were visiting Ecuador and they were amazed with the number of items/relics from the sea and pirate type stuff to see.

Then I had the Sea Bass, which was wonderful.

The place was so charming and the view from the deck where we ate was beautiful.

You can enjoy a really stunning view and have a drink.

but at night the noise of the sea is overwhelming and the suite becomes pretty scary with noises all around..

but I decided to take a second chance there because of the sunset view.

The views are sweeping, vast and beautiful.

We had a good time in its small museum and we spent more time with our family while looking at the beatiful view.

The beach is not the best in the area and part of the view includes tankers in cue for the refinery in Libertad.

There is a comfortable place to stay here called Hosteria Farallón Dillon (Tel & Fax: 2786643-2785611) with spectacular views.

The location of the hotel is atop a hill that overlooks the Pacific Ocean with the veranda looking due north onto the ocean .

It’s a really nice bed and breakfast .I met the owners son and daughter  in law and they were really nice people.

Every morning, they provide a delicious breakfast with coffee that starts our day right.

Exceptionally clean room, robust AC, wonderful breakfast served, looking out across the ocean.

Meals - Hotel functions like B&B offering only an excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruit, eggs, sausages and drinks served at your table.

If you want a retreat style getaway, this is an ideal location.

Gorgeous grounds, the hostess is an interior decorator and the rooms are beautifully done in an international style.

We were served our meals there and the food was excellent and the dinner settings were goregous with beautiful colorful linens and the beautiful ocean right in front of you.

This is a really lovely place with a totally laid-back atmosphere.

She is an interior designer who travels the world in search of handicrafts which she sells in her store.

The pool and adjoining whirlpool which are the focus of the grounds, is kept spotlessly clean and maintained at a very comfortable temperature

Overall - The property is beautifully landscaped, spotlessly clean and well maintained.

The grounds are beautiful, the hot tub was wonderful and the shower was the best we have had in Ecuador.

Completely Overpriced in every sense for those heavy travelers in a “boutique” conditions.

One time I Headed to Salinas with my family and forgot to plan beforehand I had to go around plenty of hotels just to be turned down either by prices or by them being full.

Finally, the place is expensive for the area.

I mean, you pay a lot for no quality and dirtiness.

Unfortunately there’s no regulation about the standard!

They charge prices that one would expect to pay in a city or more touristed area in Ecuador.
