The best place to stay close to the beach and nature.

Beautiful little hotel with great service surrounded by animals with a private beach.

There is a fabulous hotel in Salinas-El Faro, an ecological lodge right on La Milina beach in Salinas.

Being able to work in my room, at the tables or in a hammock close to the beach was great.

If you’re looking to escape from cold and bitter weather like today nothing better than the beach.

Such an interesting place: lush green foliage, big tall trees, right on the beach.

but also to have contact with some peacocks, parrots, turtles, monkeys and a couple of beautiful dogs, all of that steps away from the beach in a forest like enviroment.

The point of the Hosteria gives a wonderful view of the Peninsula of Salinas and the loud beats of reggaeton seem far in the distance as the mighty waves dutifully ebb and flow along the quiet cove.

The place has an entrance to a private beach, where spent our mornings.

The wifi was reliable and there was a network connection for the building the rooms are located in and the outer deck by the beach so there is a strong connection across the entire property.

Place have beach view.few min away from Malecon Salinas.Large and clean rooms with comfortable beds.

There is private beach access that is great for letting the kids play or for soothing walks on the beach.

He showed us the best beaches, restaurants, landmarks.

It was nice to come back to the lodge at night and enjoy our own wine sitting by the beach or lounging in the hammock.

The jungle-like setting and sound of chirping birds was truly magical, especially during breakfast which was also such a treat.

Opposite of the Lodge is a nice restaurant with delicious meal and also very friendly service.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, great coffee, and an incredible view of the ocean from a special seating area.

The animals were amazing - one of the little squirrel monkeys would sleep on my lap during breakfast.

She was so excited of having the beach right just steps away, also delicious food in the restaurant on-site, my brother that love animals astonish for the beautiful peacocks

Breakfast (complimentary) was delicious, fresh, and simple every morning and you can order lunch to be made - they ask you what time, what you want (they pick up what you choose from the market and prepare it fresh), and very affordable.

The little squirrel monkey that joined you for breakfast was the highlight of my stay.

Each morning we were served a great breakfast and then head out for the day.

This  place is special it’s like going in to a different  mystic place it reminds me of the show fantasy Island , 
The owner it’s so nice and if you have any problems he will get it fix sap , he gave us a tour of the area and he recommended we’re we can eat , the food at his place it’s clean and good

but we took a chance and had a real authentic experience of Ecuador and the larger than life personality that is Gabriel.

Owner Gabriel treated us like family rather than paying guests, meeting us at the bus terminal and taking us on an impromptu tour of the Chocolateria and other sights, all his recommendations were perfect.

He made us feel extremely comfortable and was very helpful.

The view in the back is gorgeous and I love the animals.

It's like a secret garden right by the ocean.

There was a beautiful view of the downtown Salinas.

I can’t say enough regarding the amazing experience that I enjoyed at this oceanfront tropical paradise!!

We went to Playa Chipipe, La 
Chocolatera, La Lobería, and ate at a restaurant called Luv N’ Oven with some amazing seafood (try the Corvina, or Sea bass).

Had a really great time staying at this hostel, nice environment, the service is amazing, and has a great view, would definitely come back.

The one bar area overlooks the ocean The sunsets are perfect.

3  wonderful patios to enjoy the Salinas skyline & sunsets overlooking the beach or others to let you feel as if you are in the amazon.

There is a deck at the end of the garden, overlooking the ocean, which is simply stunning.

set on the edge of the Pacific, our favorite place is a raised deck looking out on the water.

It’s a really nice bed and breakfast .I met the owners son and daughter  in law and they were really nice people.

Every morning, they provide a delicious breakfast with coffee that starts our day right.

Exceptionally clean room, robust AC, wonderful breakfast served, looking out across the ocean.

Meals - Hotel functions like B&B offering only an excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruit, eggs, sausages and drinks served at your table.

The pool and adjoining whirlpool which are the focus of the grounds, is kept spotlessly clean and maintained at a very comfortable temperature

Overall - The property is beautifully landscaped, spotlessly clean and well maintained.

The grounds are beautiful, the hot tub was wonderful and the shower was the best we have had in Ecuador.

Completely Overpriced in every sense for those heavy travelers in a “boutique” conditions.

One time I Headed to Salinas with my family and forgot to plan beforehand I had to go around plenty of hotels just to be turned down either by prices or by them being full.

Finally, the place is expensive for the area.

I mean, you pay a lot for no quality and dirtiness.

Unfortunately there’s no regulation about the standard!

They charge prices that one would expect to pay in a city or more touristed area in Ecuador.

We honestly had the best time here, it was so perfect and so relaxing, I am very sad that we didn't have more time to spend there.

We stayed for a short 2 nights in Salinas toward the end of our Ecuadorian travel for some relaxation.

Everything was perfect and relaxing - even my 3 year old loved every minute.

I stumbled on this hotel when searching the internet; this hotel provides a wonderful, peaceful retreat.

If you want a retreat style getaway, this is an ideal location.

Beautiful place, relaxing and the rooms are beautiful and clean.

but I felt disturbed very much by this  besides that the black dog is very stinky and come to the table when you are eating.

They provide a water tank, it was more empty and filthy, I was afraid to use that old water for my kids.

The owner is a true lover of nature and she has a few majestic birds in an aviary near the pool/jacuzzi and there are a few dogs that you may see (but I never saw or smelled any poop or urine).

Go there and be relax with an amazing view of Pacific Ocean and also great service in the beach’s trip,Owner is a wonderful person.

Playa Canela is the only place to stay if you want chatm and beauty - the suites and rooms are well appointed with spectacular views of the ocean as this an icran front hotel.

It is very quiet allowing you to enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean day and night.

but all of the rooms have ocean views and are well equiped for you and your partner and/or family to enjoy your stay here.

However, you can easily order food to be delivered and enjoy in the cafe area on the hotel that overlooks the pool and ocean.

The hotel is an unique place directly located at the ocean.

The garden and ocean view were amazing whether sitting near the pool or viewing from the room.

Those small things aside, it was a lovely experience in beautiful surroundings away from the crowds, listening to the ocean right outside your door.

This is our second stay in Salinas in this breathtaking hotel.

You can walk on the beach, swim in the ocean and watch the beautiful sunset.

1 star removed due to construction going on to upgrade some areas.

Sixth, no outside ramps for wheelchair access, only one ramp to go to the food area and it should be illegal because it’s so steep that you need help to go up the ramp.

We asked about them and they said "out at the pool area"  We only saw 1 adult activity in three days,

The Hotel does not sit on a nice portion of beach

The beach and pools are ok no better than that and the F&B worse than that.

Liked being on the beach front and impressed at how well the staff received guest.

Amazing hospitality, room over the beach , cool breeze, loving it.

The beach in front of the hotel has rocks, which we don’t like.

Hotel is situated south of the main section of beach which is nice as it is quieter here.

By the way don't miss the the La Chocolatera site, great for photos in Salinas, and the La Loberia Beach which is fantastic too.

but I believe I was in one of the higher end rooms - located in the "new" part of the hotel with views of the beach.

The best views of the celebrations in the surrounding beaches, 3-4 hours of fireworks.

Food at breakfast was good with a small variety

The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff was very accommodating.

The buffet is OK. Service is very good with amicable staff.

Food was mediocre,  typical buffet style with minimum variety.

It was a joy to stay here for even every staff member as we passed by said hello, and at the buffets (which were terrific) they seemed more than happy to continually ask us if we needed anything.

Not only do they charge per day -- they charge per device!

They charge also for the WiFi 7.50 per day,

This was reported to the reception where Daniela Lainez was the person in charge (that's what she  said) she said that it was a problem with the electricity, however I was the only one who had complained,

Service is terrible .Avoid this place at all cost.

It is total outdated and lacks of refinement you would expect for such a priced fare.

We paid more for a room on the "ocean side" of the hotel, literally across the street from the main complex.

but the rates were too high, it could be more reasonable for tourist.

Fourth, they are so stingy when it comes to towels, act like people who pay there outstanding fees of 500 dollars a night we’re gonna steal there towels so they give you only based on how many people are staying there, and when you ask for more towels, they give you a condescending attitude, the reception you can’t call because your room phone don’t work.

but some, and this is not expected in this hotel category (and price).

But what i did not really like was that i had to pay extra for the wifi and believe that should be included.

Sea view room could barely see the ocean, poor checkin experience, not given explanation why we couldn’t get a higher floor when we paid additional for sea view.

I must add that the hotel made a mistake in our reservation, giving us a lower rate, yet they gladly honored it.

but I definitely recommend that you take the time to visit this place, not only because of the excellent service and prices it offers you, but also because you won't regret visiting it.

The buffet covered the 3 meals, besides you had all included service all day long.

Really service minded staff, helpful and polite.

The meals were great and the service was excellent.

All the staff was absolutely kind and polite, maybe the best in the overall services.

The restaurant is amazing with 5 star service and gorgeous food.

This location in Salinas, Ecuador of a major hotel chain has got it right - service, service, service.

Overall, top dollar for average service and accomidations.

but for the large and comfortable facilities of the Hotel It wasn't the case, watching the whales very close really makes me nervous but nevertheless it was a great experience that thanks to the guides of the Hotel I was able to live good times on the high seas.

Fantastic view from our private balcony and the sounds of the waves crashing to sleep with every night.

This time, it was only two adults so we booked one of the sea view suites, which was awesome.

And let me not forget the fabulous rooms with great views, balconies, and top bedding.

We visited for 3 nights and had the ocean front room which was very nice.

Today, Wifi is as essential for a hotel room as hot water in the bathrooms.

however in the morning when I went for a swim after they finish cleaning, the water was filthy with hairs and sand.

We came back around 10pm and still there was not hot water nor AC.

However, we found a hair on the bed sheets and one of the toilets had nonstop water running.

Ralph and his staff put together good breakfasts and we really enjoyed the fish & chips.

The price of the room was $49.00/night and included breakfast.

but if the scrumptious breakfast prepared by Chef Ralph was any indication of what they offer for dinner -- don't miss it.

The breakfast was very good: Ralph is a certified English Chef and the breakfast reflected those certificates(see photo:fresh squeezed Orange juice didn't make it into the pic).

Looked forward to breakfast each morning after a walk on the beach.

Ralph can do more than fry an egg and his fish and chips are amazing.

The price was more than reasonable for a place right across from the beautiful beach and all kinds of recreation.

but after being on the beach we were all tired.

Wifi good, breakfast good, bar at night loved it (very tasty cocktails), hot water, beautiful view and very close to the beach.

Right in front of the beach great breakfast on everything in the room was really clean and modern the only thing is the receptionist from the afternoon what's North.

Really a great vibe, great energy, great hamburgers and fries, strong wifi, great staff who truly care (like Frank), great view of the whole beach, clean rooms and I must say the very hottest showers that I have experienced in all of Ecuador.

It was incredible to walk out the door, cross the street and be in the beach.

It is right on the beach and near many good restaurants.

Best location in front of the beach, and surrounded by local restaurants and stores.
