The food is excellent and the restaurant and bar staff were just exceptional.

When we visited for the first time we were served by Inma and Victor who welcomed us yet again - Inma now in reception, Victor who serves in the restaurant to perfection + newcomer,  Marcos who serves the best Margarita in the bar.

The bar, lounge, and restaurant, particularly the terrace were delightful.

Peace and quiet, no TV blaring away in the bar, comfortable rooms, delicious food, friendly efficient staff and lovely owners.

The team are amazing, you won't find better staff, the food is wonderful and a drink at the bar in the evening is a must.

The food was unbelievable, the gin was unbelievable and the staff were fantastic, victor the ever gracious host on the bar for my considerably large drinking family.

They made no fuss of making sure that sandwiches were available to us at the bar.

The room's A/C worked a treat, the bed was comfortable, the safe worked, the mini bar worked.

We arrived late afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful pool and drinks from the bar.

Lovely room with terrace, tea and coffee facilities, and well stocked mini bar.

You normally end up paying extortionate  rates for mini bar items.

Walking to it, downhill from the small white village of Montejaque, and through the industrial town of Benaojan, and then steeply down a valley to an old mill complex, hardly prepared us for what is, in fact, a luxury hotel complex, with 18 spacious suites; large dining and bar facilities; and gorgeously floral grounds: terraces, a pool, lush lawns, roses, bougainvillea, anualls and perennials in full bloom, etc.

The staff are very friendly and helpful,  and pre dinner drinks at the bar is a good start to the evening,  particularly if Andy or Victor are dispensing.

While in a beautiful, tranquil  rural setting, Benaojan is very close to Ronda which has lots of shops, bars and restaurants as well as museums, churches and other interesting sights.

From the moment we walked into the bar the staff  Victor and Diego were Polite, on the ball and friendly.

The restaurant/bar area has been equally well done and the food was superb and reasonably well priced.

The owner is a friendly British expatriate who really knows how to run an excellent restaurant.

WiFi was poor and even non-existent at times.

Even the poor weather didn't diminish the great experience.

Most speak impeccable English, which is a result as my Spanish is poor.

The only disappointment was the poor quality of golf demonstrated by the owner who had boasted about his prowess

although the ‘rack’ rate is pretty high for the area and we felt that the standard room we had originally chosen was poor value.

And not only the view is poor, also the quality of the food.

£190 euro's per night B&B - lame breakfast, so called chef can't cook a fried egg and the dinner was just as poor - dinner at a local converted train station 'El Muelle' was far superior - no TV in the "junior suite".

Our poor Spanish is encouraged with great patience and often an impromptu lesson.

His team led by Inma in reception were excellent..The food was outstanding.

We travelled to the restaurant for a family meal July 2023, the food was delicious, the staff incredible especially Douglas our waiter, and the surroundings were magnificent.

We stayed for 4 nights: so relaxing, quiet, very comfortable rooms, super food, extremely courteous and kind staff.

I hadn't been to El Molino for lunch for several years and sometimes places change and not always for the best.

We have luxuriated in seriously comfortable simplicity, surrounded by incredible nature, from babbling brooks to staggering mountains, caves, walks, bird song, flowers - and eaten magnificently every evening.

The staff treat you like family the food is out of this world, Michelin star quality and the scenery outstanding.

The room quality, restaurant food, breakfast buffet, gardens, and service are top drawer.

Food is great and the breakfasts are fantastic - SO much to choose from.

We would definitely go back in the spring or late summer for a warmer dip in the pool and the chance to have meals outside by the river and the old water mill.

We had  an idyllic stay at molino del santo the setting is so peaceful,the rooms very comfortable and the evening dinner excellent I had the best gambas pilpil I have ever had.

Breakfast buffet very comprehensive and lunch/dinner a la carte or set menu - food excellent.

Food in the restaurant is excellent and good value.

So pleased to have discovered this absolute gem of a hotel and restaurant.

This year, whist we were warmly welcomed by Inma and Victor, things were different.

Very accommodating for guests with dietary requirements - was much appreciated.

The staff clearly enjoy working there and management is obviously attentive to detail.

We have been coming here for over 30 years and we have always had a wonderful stay - everything is lovely and the staff are amazing - always helpful.

It is a small boutique hotel (18 rooms all different - no TV) lovingly run by Pauline and Andy who over the years have turned it into an oasis of peace and calm.

but the beds are very comfortable but there is no TV which did not make a difference to us, but it may to some.

There are no TV's (and I don't personally miss it for a week)

We spent a week in this delightful hotel- a real treat to be away from TV, radio and traffic noise and pollution.

Do not come here if you want to watch TV,  play bingo or dance the night away to disco music.

There was no refrigerator, TV or clock  (none of our hotel rooms had a clock . .

but hospital clean.Pool no heated. TV,no.

And there are no televisions in the guest rooms, which was a bit of a shock for a news-junkie like me,

The rooms are a delight, every one individual yet the style is always Andaluz; and one thing that is an advantage for me is the lack of TV in rooms. Hooray!

No TV, which means that a post-prandial stroll through the small village is a delightful alternative.

we came back with friends for a second time in October and it was just as good, having been drawn to the area by the TV program by Michael Portillo and his Bradshaw's guide which focused on the railway that ran from Ronda down the coast we originally stumbled on this hotel by chance, in need of sustenance we decided to try it, and how glad we did!

Maybe not the highest number of stars (no TV in the rooms (thank goodness) and internet access was intermittent),

Thus I created, when I learned the Hotel has just two stars, according to some furnishing limitations like no TV ;-)) the phrase mentioned above: " paradise does not need stars".

The room was sold as a superior double that is was not we have travelled extensively and would not expect to pay 168 euro for a small room without a TV 
We would not recommend them to anyone and would do our best to dissuade our friends from going to this over priced and over rated. Hotel.

On previous occasions we had caught the train from San Roque and maybe this is still possible to include a picturesque ride through the mountains.

Our plans had us traveling from Seville to Arcos de la Frontera and then on to Jerez So we planned a little detour that would take us through the stunning countryside and "Pueblos Blancos" in the Sierra de Grazalema Parque.

Our room, a junior suite, was very well furnished with comfortable beds, good armchairs, a lovely balcony with stunning views, and avery well appointed bathroom.

The Rest: the setting at the bottom of mountains with the river running by, beautiful plants on the terraces and spanish finca ambience is just perfect.

All rooms have terraces with views; some of the mountains, others of the gardens which are beautiful.

This hotel and restaurant is a great stop for a lunch overlooking a scenic area with a small river and lush, attractive vegetation.

In the evening we enjoyed a beautiful meal and fine wine on the terrace overlooking the stream.

We arrived at the hotel and were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess who showed us our room.

The biggest issues were that the bathroom had a horrible odor coming from the drain and the two sitting chairs were utterly worn out, one of them totally sprung and other’s fabric worn through to the frame.

however, the shower needed a scrub to remove some mold.

Someone smoked in the courtyard and the smoke entered our window above it.

but strange room with the toilet the opposite side of the room to the bathroom.Overall disappointing .Unless you like old musty buildings go for something more modern

Wifi was spotty and there was the faint smell of what could have been sewage coming from the bathroom,

though guests are not supposed to smoke anyway).

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was some smell.

Only gripe was smoking guests in central courtyard- smell wafted into our room.

The only negative aspect was the strange smell coming out of the bathroom, I hope they
will fix this problem.

You enter to the smell of beeswax, the sight of gleaming wood and a feeling if entering someone's home.

The bad:  There was an odd smell in the room.

Next, the junior suite they had for us smelled horrible, like a combination of "old room" and smoke.

Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable, the sitting room furniture was so old we thought we might break it, the bathroom had a retched smell, and the room made lots of creaking sounds during the night.

The room was lovely and the staff very helpful in assisting us to park our car.

The service staff were warm, charming and efficient.

Great staff, conveniently located in the old town yet a peaceful setting next to the Ramon Corrales gallery.

The shower leaked through the door, there was mold and rot on the baseboards, poorly applied silicone caulk around the shower door, discolored wallpaper, the sink barely drained, smudges on the walls, the towel rack was falling off the wall, the sink faucet looked like it came from a dumpster dive.

but they were not noisy,

Two small negatives: It is pretty difficult to figure out how to turn on the shower.

My only complaint would be a slightly damp smell from the bathroom after use,

Did not realize that our shower was inside our room with no room separation; basically the shower was right next to our bed.

but well equipped rooms though toilet facilities a bit too close if you are sharing a room.

The toilet was in a frosted glass cubicle, as was the shower in another, and they were both part of the "living" area.

The sink outside the bath cubical allows water to spill all over the bench.

As soon as we entered the room, we did not like the strange layout and immediately asked reception to be transferred to the higher level quarters which apparently offer a more conventional bathroom.

It had leaked and flooded the room underneath so we had to move rooms.

Only downside was the room itself which awkwardly has no separate bathroom (!
