So because our ride was waiting, we lugged the luggage up and down the stairs to the elevator ourselves.

The elevator is really small and could barely fit 2 people and 2 luggages.

While we should have heard noise from our neighbors, the street, and the elevator, not once did we hear a peep, which made the Hotel B a great break from the noise and bustle of the city.

It has only 1 small elevator and it takes sometimes a while till it gets to you.

The hotel footprint is quite small and accordingly everything inside the hotel is small from the door to the hotel to the lobby and halls and elevator and most importantly the rooms.

There is one small elevator, appropriate for a hotel of this size and with little wait time.

Elevator was very small and air conditioning was not very cold (typical for Europe).

One thing awkward about the part of the hotel where we stayed was the need to go up and down stairs to get to the elevator (4th floor).

We were in Room 48; took the elevator to the 5th floor, then walked down 2 short flights of stairs and hallway to our room -- similar to a room we had at Banff Spring Resort years ago!

The hotel has a brand-new Schindler elevator that holds 6 people.

You should request a room away from the stairs and elevator.

The elevator was broken and was only fixed as we were checking out.

The elevator was also small and slow and I had to go up four flights of stairs,

- No kettle
- Lift doesn't work properly, as it doesn't stop at level 1 and 2

There have been recent renovations to the elevators and the showers.

Hotel is centrally located in Piazza Bernini-close and easy walking to all the sights and shopping and restaurants are everywhere.

We stayed in the Light and Sight suite and the room was beautiful and so comfortable, felt like a home away from home.

The location as perfect: it was central to many of the wonderful sights of Rome, and convenient to the metro.

The hotel, located in the Piazza Barberini, is close to all the main sights including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Borghese Gallery, Pantheon, Colosseum etc.etc.

The only downside is that, due to its small footprint, the bar and breakfast room are not large; most of the rooms are on the small side, as well.

Our room was a bit small and lacked a full length mirror (one was provided on request),

We were supposedly given a room upgrade and our room was tiny, I dread to think what room we would have had.

The room might be a bit small similar to all other hotels in the center

Note that rooms are on  the small side - if you're travellng with large luggage, you may be challenged.

There is one key in the “traditional” form that has to be returned to the reception every time you leave your room (not the “smart card key” situation here), the breakfast area is divided in 3 small rooms, so you have to book your time slot in the reception the night before.

At 12 sq meters, I knew my room would be small and it was.

Location is great, via Vento  meets Berbarini around the corner, cool feel, 15 mins or so walk to the heart of things, there's a metro at the square and there's a lovely walk to the Spanish steps which are very close, nice walk up from the hotel brings you out at the top of the steps.

Clean hotel room, with a good location, close to the colosseum and Spanish steps and Trevi fountain.

We got taken out of reception up the street through a dark old door and up a lift to our room… no nice reception to walk through in the nights or morning just a random lift and door out onto the street!

however if we required anything from the main hotel you need to take the key card to get back into the building and in doing so the rest of you sit in the dark as this operates the lighting in the room.

The rooms there is no natural light which was a little downside, a little dark as the window just faces a wall.

The second room we moved into had a good few lights broken which was annoying as the rooms are quite dark.

but it was a lot smaller than I expected and very dark as we were on the first floor and just outside the window was a metal staircase which blocked most of the light coming into the room.

but this did not work and there was no other light the other side either so it was very dark especially when trying to make tea.

It was slightly dark near the door to the room and we couldn't make the light stay on for longer than a minute so it put the full length mirror on the wall out of action as you could barely see your reflection.

It was very dark in the room and as the clothes in the wardrobes covered the wardrobe lights I found myself having to walk clothes to the window to see them.

however the lighting in the our room (202) was simply too dark.

The negatives:  The rooms are dark and the lighting is inadequate and everything is designed for form, not function (illuminated table??).

The hallways are very dark, and a bit tricky.

While the rooms are dark without too much natural light and no view, we found the room lighting to be good.

It was very dark with a tiny window overlooking a dark service area.

there just isnt enought of it. The room is dark itself (yes i know its a "mood" hotel!)

Felt like it was dark within the room and wasn't able to see how the weather was due to that.

The room was very dark, so much so that it was difficult to read the air con control that was by the door.

however has very poor lighting so it was difficult to see whilst rummaging through luggage etc.

We stayed in room 201 so not sure if the other rooms have a view or atleast some light.

but then when you get there you realize half their business model and vibe is keeping all of the lights half-dimmed so you don't notice the scuff marks and peeling wallpaper.

Only thing I would say they could go to improve is to add some fairy lights and a few more seats to their roof terrace.

Our rooms were very small and poorly lit, with no natural light coming in through the windows that were just a view of a brick wall!

Only issues was the lack of lighting in the ante room, made it hard to find things in our bags.

The lighting under the sink was flickering on and off when turned on, the tub drained slowly and poorly, the water temperature would go from cold to scalding hot, the room safe kept giving me error messages

My wife was very disappointed with the lighting above the bathroom mirror, finding it almost impossible for applying make up.

but could have done without the blinding table that was to double as a lamp.

Cons (not many and absolutely nothing major):
-	Our room was a really weird shape and had no natural light as the window was an internal one.

This perhaps was due to the fact that the room had very little natural light.

although it had one light situated behind the rack where you put your clothes this was inadequate.

Rome Times Hotel was a great place to stay, very close to major sites like the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, etc.

Perfect location, great food, very clean, friendly staff and only 10 minutes from Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum, really enjoyed our stay.

Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps, Via Del Corso and the Colloseum was all a 10-15 minute walk away.

Ok, basics first: hotel is very well situated, 15 minutes walk from the Termini train station, 10 minutes from the Coliseum and lots of good bars and restaurants nearby (try Alvicolo 9 just around the corner).
