 - The location is excellent and the roof top bar was perfect to have a drink and unwind after a day of touring and exploring.
 - We were treated with a complimentary bottle of wine on the roof top terrace.
 - The rooftop patio/bar was also very nice & I enjoyed my breakfast there every morning.

 - The hotel is situated perfectly -- it's in close proximity to the Forum, Trastevere, the Pantheon/Piazza Navona and numerous bus stops which make access to the remainder of the city very easy.
 - The Monte-Cenci is in a wonderful location, besides the Jewish Quarter and a short walk to Trastevere and Tiber Island, as well as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona.
 - A short walk is all you need to be in the heart of Roman antiquity, including the Colosseum, the Forum, Pallotine Hill, and the Pantheon.
 - It’s in a fantastic location near most sightseeing musts (Vatican City, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, etc).
 - Excellent quiet location adjacent to Tiber Island and walking distance Capitoline hill, Forum and Colloseum.

 - For instance, the walls in our standard room were marked up and thin, the amenities were old, and the lock on our bathroom did not work.
 - but exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was nothing to see through the windows apart from walls.
 - 3 days into our 5 night reservation my husband asked me how this compared to the other places we had stayed in Monte Carlo and Athens because he found the room shabby (the shower leaked, there was a hole in the wall and the room was incredibly small).
 - The room was small, full of scuffs and nicks on the walls.
 - Our shower sprayer and toilet seat were broken, the bathroom tile was chipped, the shower door didn't close tightly, there was no place in the shower to put toiletry items, and the walls throughout were dirty and banged up.

 - 15-20minute walk to the main sites of the Colosseum\Forum\Palatine hill and numerous churches and fountains.
 - but it’s got lots of places to eat, great transport links, only a 20 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Forum.
 - We walked from here to the Colosseum/Forum and to Trevi/Spagna.
 - The tickets included the forum and Palentine Hill, we booked online direct with the colosseum website €14 each, amazing value, the tickets could be used again the next day too!

 - but their are only small rooms within the main building of the hotel.
 - If you visit there in a couple (so we did) please consider that the rooms are really very small.
 - EXTREMELY SMALL ROOMS You do not get what you paid for!
 - The room was on the small side which is typical in Europe.
 - One small thing in our room was that there was no mirror in the main bedroom, only a small one in the bathroom so not great for getting ready.

 - Although it was overlooking the street it wasn’t too noisy.
 - but then found a blanket on the cupboard and kept the heating blower on which was noisy but made the room more cosy.
 - Too noisy and we could hear every vehicle that was passing by.
 - The Hotel is also on a noisy street and even their so called executive room (209) was so noisy as it faces a street.
 - Thin walls, we could hear the bathroom and conversation within from next door.

 - We chose the Morgana due to it's central Rome location and that it was near the train station.
 - The common area was roomy and lovely while waiting for rides, front desk helpful with getting a cab, very close to train station.

 - One warning and one complaint - the warning is that the elevator is VERY VERY TINY.
 - The room 207 was on the second floor and there is a lift if needed, our was situated overlooking a street and for us we heard very little traffic noise so that was a bonus.
 - Only downside is the lift is quite small.
 - Thankful for the elevator and AC!
 - The lift is a little 'cosy'

 - but unfortunately due to the pandemic we were unable to travel, and were left in limbo.
 - We didn't get out much due to the rain
 - It is one of the better breakfast buffets we have had, due to the selection.
 - Checked into room 602 and immediately felt reluctant to unpack due to a loud noise coming from behind the wall of the bed headboard.
 - Although we didn't use this service due to having our own phones with maps etc, we thought this was a great idea and not one that we've seen before!
