but the main issues were : the access via a very small and slow elevator that you can only catch on the first floor and another problem was the bedding.

The elevator was one of the slowest and scariest I've encountered in many travels.

Request a room on the first floor if you don’t like tiny elevators!

The reception lobby is tiny and the elevator is also tiny.

Only 2 things about this hotel I feel are important to note - the elevator is on the 1st floor, so is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, and the bed and pillow were very firm.

A few things to def keep in mind: elevator was on 1st level (Italy counts floor 0/ground floor) so you had to walk up a few small flights to get to the elevator for the higher floors.

You do need to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the elevator, which may be an issue for some folks.

No lift from hotel lobby to first floor so be prepared to lug your bags up.

Also note it is not for anyone with mobility challenges as access to the lift is on the second floor.

You have to walk up one flight to get to the elevator, which itself may be 50+ years old and rather scary.

However, after a whole day of walking through the cobbled streets of Rome, I am not keen on having to ' climb to reach the elevator'.

You have quite a few stairs to climb to the first floor where there is a tiny lift which goes to the higher levels (only space for 2 people).

The only hassle is the lift, which does not go to the ground floor that makes it difficult when you have heavy luggage,

You have to take the first flight of stairs to the first floor to catch the elevator (nothing out of ordinary in old buildings)

There is no lift from reception to L1, it starts at L1 and goes to 5

The hotel is in an old building right accross from the Pantheon, so the excellent location, with many places to eat and drink around.

Good location in center of Rome, with view of Pantheon.

And, our room had an amazing view of the Pantheon.

Wonderful location just across from the Pantheon.

The location cannot be beat, we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Pantheon, which was spectacular both day and night.

Stayed in Annexe room so no view of pantheon which was fine and very clear when booking.

Each of our rooms had a complimentary bottle of Prosecco waiting for us and our view of the Pantheon was unrivaled.

Our room was clean and the view of the Pantheon was perfect!

Has to be one of the best locations in Rome, right across the from The Pantheon and great restaurants at your doorstep.

The hotel is right in front of Pantehon and we booked a room with a view of Pantheon, which was very nice.

I had room 104 and the views of the Pantheon were unreal.

Fantastic view right out to Pantheon from both bedrooms and the bathroom.

The view to the Pantheon (across the Rotonda) is breathtaking.

Room was a bit small for a double room and the bed was most definitely NOT a king size

The rooms are small (as you would expect in an old building in such a location)

however, a pretentious, overpriced pseudoboutique hotel of sort: the prices and the attitude are correct for a hotel with small rooms and no common spaces. Overall a positive experience due to the professional, friendly staff, the honest prices and (did I already mention it?)

The rooms are quite small and not the most modern.

The room itself is of a decent size, with room 502 having one room facing the pantheon and another small room having a sofa bed (we used this room to get ready/ store luggage to prevent the main room getting cluttered).

but the hotel rooms were small and nothing special.

If the small rooms and multiple keys for doors bothers you you could stay in main hotel

It's small and the rooms are unusual because of the original design of the building.

There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel only rooms and a small reception - but there are hundreds of places to eat out there .

but the hotel staff customer service was top notch.

The staff were kind, though, and on the day before our departure they gave us an early breakfast to take away for our early morning flight.

We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful with tips on places to eat, as it was our first time in Rome.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, whether it be to exchange bills for us, or give us tips and directions.

The staff was extremely helpful and responsive when we experienced some glitches with arrangements we had made.

From the start Nimal gave me and my wife a Free Upgrade since we were visiting Rome for the first time as a part of our honeymoon and we were greeted with champagne in our room!

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

We were great warmly on arrival and given welcome bottle of Prosecco.

Clean hotel, quiet, friendly staff, and great location to many attractions!!

What stood out in this Hotel are the staff, their hospitality and professionalism.

The staff at the hotel was courteous and very efificient.

The staff are perfect - so helpful and attentive.

The staff was great, and the breakfast was cute and fun- it's about a block away in a little cafe.

The staff is outstanding, and for that alone I recommend this hotel.

No mention that you have to climb a flight of stairs before the elevator is available (so not accessible for those with limited mobility).

It is a small hotel with just a small reception on the bottom and you have to walk up a stairs to the first floor to reach the elevator.

The downside is that when going from the ground level to the first level you can only use the stairs.

but didn't want to stand in the long line in the heat so we watched out the window until the line dwindled down and ran down the stairs to tour it!

We literally had to hold our breath until we got up stairs.

Not for handicapped as you must climb stairs to get to your room.

After taking it once, I chose to climb the 5 flights of stairs.

Only downside I can see is that it’s not handicap friendly (a lot of stairs) and if you’re a light sleeper the city will keep you up.

The hotel is unsuitable for disabled people or anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

To get to your room, you will have to walk up a set of stairs and then catch an elevator.

Stairs to first floor and lift from there, which may be a problem for less able travellers.

but still finished at a reasonable time for sleeping

-Reception spoke English

Cons:
-Beds were very firm, which is not our preference
-Some noise from hallway, due to loud Americans calling up and down the stairs

Will definitely consider staying here again when in Rome!

but it might be important to someone who is unable to climb stairs easily.

For those with accessibility issue, there is a need to climb stairs one level before you can access the elevator.

The elevator is small, so I took the stairs for everything except transporting my luggage.

Be warned also that you need to be able to handle stairs if you stay here.

You do have to do stairs here so if mobility is an issue, look elsewhere.

So because our ride was waiting, we lugged the luggage up and down the stairs to the elevator ourselves.

The elevator is really small and could barely fit 2 people and 2 luggages.

The hotel has a small lobby and elevator,

While we should have heard noise from our neighbors, the street, and the elevator, not once did we hear a peep, which made the Hotel B a great break from the noise and bustle of the city.

It has only 1 small elevator and it takes sometimes a while till it gets to you.

The hotel footprint is quite small and accordingly everything inside the hotel is small from the door to the hotel to the lobby and halls and elevator and most importantly the rooms.

There is one small elevator, appropriate for a hotel of this size and with little wait time.

Elevator was very small and air conditioning was not very cold (typical for Europe).

One thing awkward about the part of the hotel where we stayed was the need to go up and down stairs to get to the elevator (4th floor).

We were in Room 48; took the elevator to the 5th floor, then walked down 2 short flights of stairs and hallway to our room -- similar to a room we had at Banff Spring Resort years ago!

The hotel has a brand-new Schindler elevator that holds 6 people.

You should request a room away from the stairs and elevator.

The elevator was broken and was only fixed as we were checking out.

The elevator was also small and slow and I had to go up four flights of stairs,

- No kettle
- Lift doesn't work properly, as it doesn't stop at level 1 and 2

There have been recent renovations to the elevators and the showers.

About 15 to 20 minute walk to the colosseum, 5 minutes to Trevi fountain, 20 minutes to Vatican City, 15 minutes to Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

The hotel is in a fantastic location - close walks to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain.

Great location relatively central in Rome relative to various sights (Forum, Pantheon, Borghese, Spanish Steps, Trevi, etc.).

We walked to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon.

The hotel is only a few minutes away from the Spanish Steps, and also an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

The hotel is just around the corner from the metro and a 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

The hotel is in a wonderful location - an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

We walked to everything:  the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Via Condotti for shopping.

5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to The Pantheon, 10 minute Metro ride to the Colosseum, and maybe 15 to the Vatican.

My daughter and I walked everywhere--the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, etc.

Trevi fountain is 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the Pantheon 5 minutes walk from the hotel (5-7 minutes past Trevi fountain);   The Coliseum is walkable in about 30 minutes,

You can easily walk to the pantheon, Spanish steps and trevi fountain.

It’s about a 20 min walk to the colosseum which is actually great because whatever route you take you end up passing all kinds of monuments, fountains, amazing buildings- I accidentally came across the Pantheon!

The hotel, located in the Piazza Barberini, is close to all the main sights including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Borghese Gallery, Pantheon, Colosseum etc.etc.

Great location near the Trevi Fountain and metro stop, plus a short walk to Pantheon, Spanish Steps, opera house, and walkable to the Colosseum.

A great location, walkable to Trevi Foundation, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and more.

Walked to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps and had good meals — just stumbled in.

The location on the Piazza Barberini is brilliant for exploring with the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and Pantheon just a few minutes walk away.

The hotel is right next to the Barberini station, walkable to many landmarks like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

The only downside is that, due to its small footprint, the bar and breakfast room are not large; most of the rooms are on the small side, as well.

Our room was a bit small and lacked a full length mirror (one was provided on request),

We were supposedly given a room upgrade and our room was tiny, I dread to think what room we would have had.

The room might be a bit small similar to all other hotels in the center

Note that rooms are on  the small side - if you're travellng with large luggage, you may be challenged.

There is one key in the “traditional” form that has to be returned to the reception every time you leave your room (not the “smart card key” situation here), the breakfast area is divided in 3 small rooms, so you have to book your time slot in the reception the night before.

At 12 sq meters, I knew my room would be small and it was.

The staff was welcoming and very helpful.

Staff were very friendly and polite and the concierge were very helpful in making a reservation on my behalf to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday.

Finally, excellent staff throughout the hotel - service at breakfast, cleaners, bar staff and at reception - all friendly, helpful and professional.

The front desk staff was very attentive and quickly remembered us as we came in each evening.

although located above a piazza I could hear no outside noise when the window was closed (black out shutters also give you a nice, dark room when your day sleeping when you arrive).

but a bit dark in the corner of the backyard and opening the window sometimes let in some kitchen odors from somewhere else.

Strangely dark at night, the apartment door is down a dark alley with no lighting, we used our cell phone flashlight

The rooms are a little small and dark compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Rome.

The room we were in was TINY and the decor, whilst flaboyant and rich, left the room a little dark.

but dark room, which made a small room seem even smaller.

The sleep quality is excellent in the hotel - beds, double glazing to keep out the noise, dark curtains.

The room was snug and rather dark due to the dark red walls/carpet/curtains, even with the chandelier and sconces on,

Our room had very dark walls, and so the room always felt dark, even with the windows open.

The rubbish bins are located nicely in the front hallway (see photo) and the apartments are poky, dark and tired.

Note - our room facing the via del Biscione was very dark with the shutters closed.

Only one part was a bit disappointing for me – our room was small and very dark.

Vaulted ceiling, walls painted a lush, dark blue, an array of vintage mirrors on the wall, two crystal chandeliers which went well with the decor.

but beautifully decorated.We were in room 304 which was rather small and dark but clean and comfortable.Good shower.

For the three in our family, the room (with three beds) was a bit cramped and also a bit dark.

So clean that I found myself looking for a spot of dust anywhere, the hallways, elevator, stairways, because I just couldn’t get over it.

Lift in the building was so small that it barely fits only two person or one person with 2-3 bags.

If the hotel is fully booked we take a suite in one of the annex apartments associated with the hotel (note: no elevators in these building).

The building is date back to the 1600's so there are no elevators.

Yes, our 6th floor room was small and the tiny elevator only goes as high as the 5th floor so you need to use the stairs to reach your destination.

Rooms and common spaces are small, elevators and hallways microscopic.

Booked the apartment, which was unfortunately on the top floor with no elevator.

but like most elevators there they are small and hold about 3 people.

We only were aware of signage in the elevator stating that the upper terrace would be unavailable due to the work.

Our room was right outside the elevator on the 5th floor, even with that we never heard it open or people talking, extremely quiet.

You have to walk through the square to get to the apartments, and once there note that there are not any elevators (again not a problem, just be aware).

Hotel has an elevator up to floor 5, so to get to the terrace it's just one flight of stairs.

The primary downside is the currently, the elevator does not work.

It's also within walking distance of many iconic sites such as the Pantheon.

The location is excellent for walking  and other access to all major destinations within the city - 10 minute walk to the Pantheon, 18 minutes to Trevi Fountain, 10 minutes to Trastevere etc.

Most of known monuments are visible (Vatican, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Basilica…)

We also found European candy like licorice and Italian cookies and homade spices, jewelry, clothes and of course, flowers (Fiori)  We also went to the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon.

It’s ideally located for sightseeing—within walking distance of the Pantheon, Colosseum, St. Peter’s and the Vatican Museums, Piazza Navona, the Jewish Quarter, Trastevere.

The hotel is no more than a 20 minutes stroll from the main attractions of the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and the Pantheon.

The Pantheon is a five minute walk and the area with the best restaurants (Trastevere) a five minute walk in the opposite direction.

The Pantheon and the Trevi fountain were just a short walk away.

Walkable to the big sights (coliseum, Vatican, pantheon, etc..).

Its less than 15 minute walk to Trastevere, the Jewish Ghetto or the pantheon.

Great location for walkers, Trevi is 18min on foot, Piazza Navona 8min, the Pantheon about 12min, Colosseum is 22min and the Campo de Fiori market and restaurants are wonderful.

Ideally located for our key itinerary locations  of Villa Farnesina and the usual must revisit haunts of Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc.

We had to Rome a few times and we especially liked the area around the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navano and Trestevere.

You are also very close to some of the main tourist attractions, especially the Pantheon.

From here we walked to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, Vatican, Trastevere, Jewish Ghetto and even walked back from the Colosseum.

Very nice with shade, lounges and beautiful views of the whole city including Pantheon, Vatican and the palace of King Emmanuel

The sun terrace (roof deck) is multi-level with 360 degree views from St Peter’s to the Pantheon and beyond.

The main building did have a beautiful rooftop terrace with great view of the city that included the Pantheon, Altar of the Fatherland, and the Vatican.

Rooms are small and bath/shower area is tiny.

Shower enclosure in the bathroom was so small that somehow one can fit in to take shower.

The bathroom was tiny and was missing some of the boutique touches we were expecting.

While I liked the concept of the washroom’s tiny rain shower, the execution was very poorly done.

but because of space issues, the shower was very small.

Rooms were small and so was the bathroom,

but the remote of this Sky/Hotel TV was a master piece of impossible combinations - even just to get something started :)
