 - but the AC was poor, bed sheet quality was poor and itchy, and the shower did not drain so we were taking a shower in a pool of water and had to stop before it overflowed.
 - The cost was less then a poor glass at home without nibbles!
 - Lighting was poor and of course no makeup mirror.
 - Would not recommend eating in the conservatory restaurants located around the corner from the hotel-very poor food and service.
 - Bad: The room size was disappointing, the room design was very poor.

 - but there was an additional short flight of stairs (5-6 steps) to reach my room from the hallway.
 - The hotel footprint is quite small and accordingly everything inside the hotel is small from the door to the hotel to the lobby and halls and elevator and most importantly the rooms.
 - The doors to the hallways are made of ridiculously thick wood to keep the noise out.
 - We were in Room 48; took the elevator to the 5th floor, then walked down 2 short flights of stairs and hallway to our room -- similar to a room we had at Banff Spring Resort years ago!
 - This is an old set of buildings so the hallways are a bit snug and the We stayed in a deluxe double overlooking the plaza and fountain.

 - Elevator was very small and air conditioning was not very cold (typical for Europe).
 - but a small elevator is included.

 - However, the first day the bathtub drain was broken, which required multiple calls to the front desk and delayed sleep at night, and it still wasn’t fixed when we left.

 - Our AC was not working and they immediately sent over the maintenance crew; when it was not able to be fixed they moved us to another room without hesitation or issue.

 - My only gripe was the poor selection of English channels on the TV, I would advise to take your own entertainment like an iPad or laptop to watch your films, as you’ll have no luck with the tv if you’re from the UK.
 - The front desk team was kind enough to get us a reservation at a restaurant close by when we were unable to secure one with our poor Italian language skills.
 - The only problem is that the sound isolation between floors is very poor so there is pretty constant banging during the times that people are moving about.
 - The scrambled eggs and fried were cold and the hot range poor.
 - Wifi is included and works well-enough (be prepared for poor wifi at all locations that offer wifi; Rome is just a little behind the times when it comes to internet, in general).

 - The amenities at this hotel include a rooftop restaurant for breakfast and dinner with a view of the Colosseum.

 - but this is not the Savoy that we expected Entrance hall attractive but rooms are 1950s style with poor heat / air-conditioning - very very noisy from around 0600 lovely roof terrace and staff were lovely too but let down by quality of rooms
 - Wifi reception is poor.

 - The rooms were well furnished and quiet.
 - We had a superior room and we had a triple room and both were perfect, cleaned every day, large TV, good shower, everything you need.
 - The room was beautiful and super clean.
 - Rooms, bedding, towels and daily servicing all excellent.
 - Their superior rooms were spacious and well appointed - ours even has a balcony we could step out on.

 - I was plain and simple told that the front office doesn’t have it and I would need to walk down to the bar if I needed to have water.
 - but air conditioning where the pilots sit and wait for transfers working perfectly, no hot water for a full day.
 - 8 euros for a bottle of water!
 - I think it’s a given that water is replaced everytime your room gets cleaned.
 - ON our last day the I was having a shower and the shower flooded as the water was not draining.

 - Unfortunately for some reason there is a very strong smell of vinegar throughout the hotel and also from the kettle in our room.
 - Small outdated room with musty smell.
 - Also the smell of sewage in the bathroom that kept coming was really bad had to ring Reception a few times to get this sorted too.
 - After an initial problem with a room that smelled badly of urine, we were given a nice room, as tidy as you would expect in a nice city centre hotel, a little dated
 - but opening the window didn’t help as below our room on street level People where Smoking Which you could smell and lots of street noise of delivery trucks etc.

 - Bathroom was ok, shower was poor and could not go cool, considering the temperature outside was ,30 degrees we wanted a cold shower.
 - we did not have the mini bar refilled automatically next day which again was a poor point.
 - The poor is the air conditioning which is either not working or working poorly.
 - As stated in other reviews, some are overpriced with poor quality.
 - but choose wisely, some osterias expensive and quality poor!

 - but the food was great .
 - She also gave us a GREAT recommendation for a restaurant in the neighborhood specifically to enjoy all four classic Roman pastas.
 - Being in the Travestere area meant the best place for restaurants!
 - The food was also incredible!
 - The other team members went above and beyond to answer questions, help us book meals, and offered warm greetings every time we returned to the hotel.

 - Also the only thing that you should beware of is that walls are super thin, so you hear everything literally everything.
 - Be aware that this hotel is just outside of the city walls and so will cost approx 40 euros to Ciampino airport rather than the standard 30.
 - (Plug was not screwed into wall properly, lick off paint etc) Unfortunately the spa is something you have to pay for .
 - The walls are very thin and the amenities in the room are average.
 - As its outside the wall, taxis charge a bit more so be aware of that.

 - There is a tram stop right outside the hotel so it’s so easy to get to the centre of Rome (10 mins on tram) or walk to see the sights for about 40 mins.
 - Across from the tram and close to the Trestevere Square.
 - Perfect to come and go when it suits you as run until after midnight, with restaurants close by (you can even jump on the tram to get closer
 - It is very close to the tram.
 - The hotel is ideally located - 5 minutes by no8 tram into Trastevere,

 - The roof top garden was a plus with good food.
 - Located in a street off a main road with lots of good restaurants and a great coffee bar (right out of hotel door and first left) A delightful roof top bar and restaurant where we had breakfast lunch and drinks.
 - If you stay here eat at I Butteri.

 - All in all it was a perfect hotel in a perfect destination, we were about 20 mins to the Trevi Fountain, 30 mins to the colosseum and about 15 mins to the Villa Borghese and it’s private Museum and gardens
 - Pantheon was well worth 7 euro's for a self guided tour and £58 for a 2hr guided tour inside Villa Borghese.
 -
 - Hotel was within walking distance of main sites like Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Villa Borghese.
 - For example we were at Villa Borghese i in only 15 minutes we got to the Trevi fountain under 20 minutes and the walk was fantastic.

 - Clean and comfortable beds - A 15-20 minute walk to all mail attractions all downhill - I would recommend this hotel without a problem
 - but we were OK with that as walking was fine for all of us.
 - The staff in the hotel were very friendly, the restaurant staff which included Salvatore were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and made our evenings really relaxed after a lot of walking around the city.
 - The Colosseum can be reached in about 40 mins, the Vatican in about the same and Termini is roughly 15 mins walk.
 - We were roughly a 20 minute walk from the Spanish steps.

 - The bed wasn’t the comfiest bed I’ve slept in and the walls are very thin, you can here everything on a morning
 - This might explain the fabric on the walls!
 - I was assigned a room on the 1st floor, incredibly noisy due to very thin walls, ridiculously small and with a single bed in a corner of the room.
 - The room was dated with fabric lined walls and a bright orange bathroom.
 - Dark, brown walls, tatty chair covers.
