but the main issues were : the access via a very small and slow elevator that you can only catch on the first floor and another problem was the bedding.

The elevator was one of the slowest and scariest I've encountered in many travels.

Request a room on the first floor if you don’t like tiny elevators!

The reception lobby is tiny and the elevator is also tiny.

Only 2 things about this hotel I feel are important to note - the elevator is on the 1st floor, so is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, and the bed and pillow were very firm.

A few things to def keep in mind: elevator was on 1st level (Italy counts floor 0/ground floor) so you had to walk up a few small flights to get to the elevator for the higher floors.

You do need to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the elevator, which may be an issue for some folks.

No lift from hotel lobby to first floor so be prepared to lug your bags up.

Also note it is not for anyone with mobility challenges as access to the lift is on the second floor.

You have to walk up one flight to get to the elevator, which itself may be 50+ years old and rather scary.

However, after a whole day of walking through the cobbled streets of Rome, I am not keen on having to ' climb to reach the elevator'.

You have quite a few stairs to climb to the first floor where there is a tiny lift which goes to the higher levels (only space for 2 people).

The only hassle is the lift, which does not go to the ground floor that makes it difficult when you have heavy luggage,

You have to take the first flight of stairs to the first floor to catch the elevator (nothing out of ordinary in old buildings)

There is no lift from reception to L1, it starts at L1 and goes to 5

The hotel is in an old building right accross from the Pantheon, so the excellent location, with many places to eat and drink around.

Good location in center of Rome, with view of Pantheon.

And, our room had an amazing view of the Pantheon.

Wonderful location just across from the Pantheon.

The location cannot be beat, we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Pantheon, which was spectacular both day and night.

Stayed in Annexe room so no view of pantheon which was fine and very clear when booking.

Each of our rooms had a complimentary bottle of Prosecco waiting for us and our view of the Pantheon was unrivaled.

Our room was clean and the view of the Pantheon was perfect!

Has to be one of the best locations in Rome, right across the from The Pantheon and great restaurants at your doorstep.

We had a room with two views of the Pantheon.

Our Pantheon view room had amazing views of the Pantheon and Piazza (see photos).

The hotel is right in front of Pantehon and we booked a room with a view of Pantheon, which was very nice.

I had room 104 and the views of the Pantheon were unreal.

Fantastic view right out to Pantheon from both bedrooms and the bathroom.

The view to the Pantheon (across the Rotonda) is breathtaking.

I've never had a more amazing view from a hotel room.

The rooms were beautifully cleaned and made up each day.

Clean ultra modern room with spectacular location.

The hotel also provides a mobile phone in each room you can take out with you to use the maps and find your way away.

Our room was clean,  modern and eficient.

The location is unbeatable, the rooms clean and comfortable.

The room was really nice and new and the beds were very comfortable.

Room was a bit small for a double room and the bed was most definitely NOT a king size

The rooms are small (as you would expect in an old building in such a location)

however, a pretentious, overpriced pseudoboutique hotel of sort: the prices and the attitude are correct for a hotel with small rooms and no common spaces. Overall a positive experience due to the professional, friendly staff, the honest prices and (did I already mention it?)

The rooms are quite small and not the most modern.

The room itself is of a decent size, with room 502 having one room facing the pantheon and another small room having a sofa bed (we used this room to get ready/ store luggage to prevent the main room getting cluttered).

but the hotel rooms were small and nothing special.

If the small rooms and multiple keys for doors bothers you you could stay in main hotel

It's small and the rooms are unusual because of the original design of the building.

but this was fine 
There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel only rooms and a small reception - but there are hundreds of places to eat out there .

No mention that you have to climb a flight of stairs before the elevator is available (so not accessible for those with limited mobility).

It is a small hotel with just a small reception on the bottom and you have to walk up a stairs to the first floor to reach the elevator.

The downside is that when going from the ground level to the first level you can only use the stairs.

but didn't want to stand in the long line in the heat so we watched out the window until the line dwindled down and ran down the stairs to tour it!

We literally had to hold our breath until we got up stairs.

Not for handicapped as you must climb stairs to get to your room.

After taking it once, I chose to climb the 5 flights of stairs.

Only downside I can see is that it’s not handicap friendly (a lot of stairs) and if you’re a light sleeper the city will keep you up.

The hotel is unsuitable for disabled people or anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

To get to your room, you will have to walk up a set of stairs and then catch an elevator.

Stairs to first floor and lift from there, which may be a problem for less able travellers.

but still finished at a reasonable time for sleeping

-Booked with credit card points 
-Reception spoke English

Cons:
-Beds were very firm, which is not our preference
-Some noise from hallway, due to loud Americans calling up and down the stairs

Will definitely consider staying here again when in Rome!

but it might be important to someone who is unable to climb stairs easily.

For those with accessibility issue, there is a need to climb stairs one level before you can access the elevator.

The elevator is small, so I took the stairs for everything except transporting my luggage.

Be warned also that you need to be able to handle stairs if you stay here.

You do have to do stairs here so if mobility is an issue, look elsewhere.

So because our ride was waiting, we lugged the luggage up and down the stairs to the elevator ourselves.

The elevator is really small and could barely fit 2 people and 2 luggages.

The hotel has a small lobby and elevator,

While we should have heard noise from our neighbors, the street, and the elevator, not once did we hear a peep, which made the Hotel B a great break from the noise and bustle of the city.

It has only 1 small elevator and it takes sometimes a while till it gets to you.

The hotel footprint is quite small and accordingly everything inside the hotel is small from the door to the hotel to the lobby and halls and elevator and most importantly the rooms.

There is one small elevator, appropriate for a hotel of this size and with little wait time.

Elevator was very small and air conditioning was not very cold (typical for Europe).

One thing awkward about the part of the hotel where we stayed was the need to go up and down stairs to get to the elevator (4th floor).

We were in Room 48; took the elevator to the 5th floor, then walked down 2 short flights of stairs and hallway to our room -- similar to a room we had at Banff Spring Resort years ago!

The hotel has a brand-new Schindler elevator that holds 6 people.

You should request a room away from the stairs and elevator.

The elevator was broken and was only fixed as we were checking out.

The elevator was also small and slow and I had to go up four flights of stairs,

- No kettle
- Lift doesn't work properly, as it doesn't stop at level 1 and 2

There have been recent renovations to the elevators and the showers.

About 15 to 20 minute walk to the colosseum, 5 minutes to Trevi fountain, 20 minutes to Vatican City, 15 minutes to Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

The hotel is in a fantastic location - close walks to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain.

Great location relatively central in Rome relative to various sights (Forum, Pantheon, Borghese, Spanish Steps, Trevi, etc.).

We walked to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon.

The hotel is only a few minutes away from the Spanish Steps, and also an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

The hotel is just around the corner from the metro and a 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

The hotel is in a wonderful location - an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

We walked to everything:  the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Via Condotti for shopping.

5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to The Pantheon, 10 minute Metro ride to the Colosseum, and maybe 15 to the Vatican.

My daughter and I walked everywhere--the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, etc.

Trevi fountain is 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the Pantheon 5 minutes walk from the hotel (5-7 minutes past Trevi fountain);   The Coliseum is walkable in about 30 minutes,

You can easily walk to the pantheon, Spanish steps and trevi fountain.

It’s about a 20 min walk to the colosseum which is actually great because whatever route you take you end up passing all kinds of monuments, fountains, amazing buildings- I accidentally came across the Pantheon!

The hotel, located in the Piazza Barberini, is close to all the main sights including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Borghese Gallery, Pantheon, Colosseum etc.etc.

Great location near the Trevi Fountain and metro stop, plus a short walk to Pantheon, Spanish Steps, opera house, and walkable to the Colosseum.

A great location, walkable to Trevi Foundation, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and more.

Walked to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps and had good meals — just stumbled in.

The location on the Piazza Barberini is brilliant for exploring with the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and Pantheon just a few minutes walk away.

The hotel is right next to the Barberini station, walkable to many landmarks like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

The rooms were well appointed with all modern amenities.

The room was lovely, couldn't ask for more, I got great value.

We stayed in the Light and Sight suite and the room was beautiful and so comfortable, felt like a home away from home.

Our room was very comfortable, the shower has great water pressure, and the location is fantastic.

The room was lovely, extremely clean and had everything you need for a few days in Rome.

Arrived early and they manage to get our room done for an early check in.

The room is very nice and a good size bathroom.

Our room 21 was of a good size for the two of us.

From the moment we entered the Hotel, service was perfect from the front desk, the breakfast to the daily room cleaning.

The staff was very helpful and our room was lovely (large room with a balcony).

Service in the breakfast room is impeccable and the food is delicious.

The only downside is that, due to its small footprint, the bar and breakfast room are not large; most of the rooms are on the small side, as well.

We were supposedly given a room upgrade and our room was tiny, I dread to think what room we would have had.

The room might be a bit small similar to all other hotels in the center

Note that rooms are on  the small side - if you're travellng with large luggage, you may be challenged.

There is one key in the “traditional” form that has to be returned to the reception every time you leave your room (not the “smart card key” situation here), the breakfast area is divided in 3 small rooms, so you have to book your time slot in the reception the night before.

but we stayed 4 nights and the room is so small it became quite oppressive.

For us, it was situated in the perfect location. It was a 20-minute walk to the major attractions (Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum etc.)

It's around 20 mins to coliseum, The Trevi Fountain and Pantheon, around 20 to 25 minutes to main shopping!

The location of the hotel is great, it is within walking distance of termini station, colosseum, roman forum, palentine hill, pantheon, trevi fountain, spanish steps and more.

but also close enough to walk to some of the sights like Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps or the Pantheon.

The hotel is 20 minute walk to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and the Spanish steps.

It is well located a few minutes walk from the station, and walkable to many of the key sites such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, etc.

Ideal location, walking distance to the majority of attractions like coliseum, pantheon, Trevi fountain.

but 10 minutes from the train station and just off Via Nazionale that will take you to the Colosseum in 15-20 minutes or a little longer to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona.

We also walked to/from the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill, Monument of Victor Emmanuel II, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.

Within walking distance to Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon.

The hotel is very modern and clean and is in a central location to the metro (A line) as well as to the Pantheon (10 min walk) and the Trevi Fountain (2 subway stops).

We were able to walk to most major sites with in 20 minutes  Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Pantheon, Colosseum.

We walked to all of the other sights -- Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and the Spanish steps.

but still walkable were some of the great sights such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, and much more.

If you don’t have a tour booked, you can download free audio guides for your ipod from the Rick Steves website for most of the major sites – we used the Pantheon one which was 20 minutes and really helped our experience!

We walked everywhere from the hotel - fontana di trevi, piazza di spagna, collosseo, vatican, piazza navona, pantheon and villa borghese!

We stayed in a room with a king bed and single bed with plenty of room for the 3  of us.

The room was spacious and clean with a modern design, the staff was very kind and the breakfast was excellent.

Nice hotel, decent sized clean rooms, helpful staff in reception clean small well cleaned bathrooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast served every morning with variety of food and drink options along with washer dryer facilities inside hotel, vending machines for water , sodas and other items made our stay very pleasing and relaxing right at the heart of Rome!

Our room included complimentary water and snacks, coffee and tea.

Secondly, the in room A/C unit never did much to take the warmth out of the room.

The hotel rooms are clean, modern & functional.

Excellent hotel with functional rooms and great location to all the main attractions and points-of-interest in the city centre.

The only negative was that this shower was really small.

The shower is tiny; it was impossible not to bang my elbows on the sides while showering.

The mattress is on the firm side and the shower is small.

Minor points taken away for the small shower and breakfast not being included.

Cons: small showers, can be bit noisy if you are facing the street.

The rooms are small which is common for lots of European hotels, so you may be tripping over your luggage if you have a lot.

Though our room is small, the design provides for many areas for storage--we were able to store our large suitcases under the bed.

While the rooms are small, they have all the amenities and hopefully you're not spending your vacation in the room.

The fitness centre is small and very little room for stretching.

Our room for 3 people was BIG - a real find in a city of small rooms - and had enough storage to accomodate 3 decent suitcases and accessories.

Along the corridor from our room there was a small room with two self service machines; one had sandwiches, crisps, chocolates, pop and beer and the other had razors, tissues, toothpaste etc for those late night munchies/emergencies.

The pantheon is literally several steps from this hotel.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel near The Pantheon - great location, all sites are walkable.

There are not many places where you can walk right out your door and enjoy a spritz with a view of the Pantheon.

Overall the Hotel Pantheon is a wonderful old Italian city centre hotel, with lots of character, and we will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

They called the cab and it was waiting in the Pantheon Plaza for us by 7:45 and fast trip to the airport.

This is no exception as you walk out of the main doors 50meters away is the Pantheon in all of its glory!!!

The location is great - just off the pantheon square and that where the good ends.

Walkable distance to Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps.

The location is absolutely perfect, right next to the pantheon and in the centre of everything.

it is located in a central location right by the Pantheon.

You are literally a corner turn to the Pantheon.

Hotel Pantheon would be an incredible honeymoon or anniversary destination.

The location of the hotel was awesome - only a 20 second walk from the Pantheon.
