 - The rooms are reasonably spacious and most of the popular tours, colosseum, Vatican, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, are a 20 to 25 euro cab ride to the meeting place for the start of the tours.

 - The location was excellent with lots of very good yet reasonable restaurants nearby.
 - however near hustle and bustle of the tourist trap was for us this was better for us as it means better restaurants and a quieter area.
 - This is a great hotel in Roma, centrally located to a number of attractions and restaurants.
 - The room is well sound proofed from the street noises so we had a great sleep there ☺️ Gianluca was super helpful at the reception and helped us with restaurant reservations!

 - The hotel was the perfect location 850m from the Spanish Steps and similar to the Trevi fountain, all the top sites in walking distance.
 - 30min walk away from Vatican City, 25min to the coliseum & 15mins from Trevi fountain & Spanish Steps.
 - The Savoy is a short walk to The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
 - The hotel was perfectly placed for us to walk the length and breadth of Rome, especially enjoying the nearby Trevi Fountain (pictured).
 - It's super near the main attractions like the trevi fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Barberini stop, which is like the main place to enjoy Rome!

 - The lift sounds like it is about to give up!
 - Only gripes - the elevator was decidedly rickety and toiletries and coffees weren’t replenished each day.
 - Our room was on the 2nd floor which is served by two lifts.
 - button in one of the ancient lifts.
 - The elevator is very old, didn't feel comfortable in it.

 - but this is not the Savoy that we expected Entrance hall attractive but rooms are 1950s style with poor heat / air-conditioning - very very noisy from around 0600 lovely roof terrace and staff were lovely too but let down by quality of rooms
 - We could see the lights from the hallway through the air conditioning unit which was slightly annoying when trying to sleep.
 - Not even mention the few minutes load noise like a washing machine at the ventilation system.
 - The rooms are stuffy and dark.

 - I took buffet dinner, which costs $30 per person, the only thing is EVERYTHING WAS COLD, I was pissed off as imagine eating salmon and ribs cold.
 - It is better Thant the tram because there is some cold air (although I wouldn’t say it has got air-con).
 - but only 15 mins by tram to the centre and breakfast was cold every day, also could do with more vegan options for breakfast
 - but the ‘hot’ food was often cold, particularly at breakfast, which was a shame.
 - There is an outdoor pool is beautiful, unfortunately, it was a bit cold to use in Autumn.

 - We managed to eat every day at the hotel’s restaurant, except Monday as it was closed.
 - We found the bar staff very rude when you could get to the bar as this too was closed due to a photo shoot during our stay.
 - During our 6 days there, 2 of these days the pool was closed due to photo shoots and we were not advised prior to our visit.
 - but was closed after 3 pm for 2 days of our 4 day trip due to functions.

 - In total we paid nearly 600 dollars for one night: absolutely not worth it and will be avoiding Hiltons and their cost cutting measures for the forseeable future.
 - but nope, all was covered by the points except a minor occupancy tax.
 - We don't usually eat meals in the hotel as they tend to be overpriced and marginal at best.
 - some of the jets in the swimming pool do not work, and faucets in the restrooms in the public areas provide no water, indicating overall poor upkeep despite expensive materials.

 - For instance, the walls in our standard room were marked up and thin, the amenities were old, and the lock on our bathroom did not work.
 - but exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was nothing to see through the windows apart from walls.
 - 3 days into our 5 night reservation my husband asked me how this compared to the other places we had stayed in Monte Carlo and Athens because he found the room shabby (the shower leaked, there was a hole in the wall and the room was incredibly small).
 - The room was small, full of scuffs and nicks on the walls.
 - Our shower sprayer and toilet seat were broken, the bathroom tile was chipped, the shower door didn't close tightly, there was no place in the shower to put toiletry items, and the walls throughout were dirty and banged up.
