but the main issues were : the access via a very small and slow elevator that you can only catch on the first floor and another problem was the bedding.

The elevator was one of the slowest and scariest I've encountered in many travels.

Request a room on the first floor if you don’t like tiny elevators!

The reception lobby is tiny and the elevator is also tiny.

Only 2 things about this hotel I feel are important to note - the elevator is on the 1st floor, so is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, and the bed and pillow were very firm.

A few things to def keep in mind: elevator was on 1st level (Italy counts floor 0/ground floor) so you had to walk up a few small flights to get to the elevator for the higher floors.

You do need to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the elevator, which may be an issue for some folks.

No lift from hotel lobby to first floor so be prepared to lug your bags up.

Also note it is not for anyone with mobility challenges as access to the lift is on the second floor.

You have to walk up one flight to get to the elevator, which itself may be 50+ years old and rather scary.

However, after a whole day of walking through the cobbled streets of Rome, I am not keen on having to ' climb to reach the elevator'.

You have quite a few stairs to climb to the first floor where there is a tiny lift which goes to the higher levels (only space for 2 people).

The only hassle is the lift, which does not go to the ground floor that makes it difficult when you have heavy luggage,

You have to take the first flight of stairs to the first floor to catch the elevator (nothing out of ordinary in old buildings)

There is no lift from reception to L1, it starts at L1 and goes to 5

The hotel is in an old building right accross from the Pantheon, so the excellent location, with many places to eat and drink around.

The location is central and incredibly convenient (provided you want the crowds in the piazza in front of the Pantheon).

Wonderful location just across from the Pantheon.

The location is perfect, you can walk to most of the popular sites in Rome within a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

Beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing by foot and finding nearby restaurants.

The location cannot be beat, we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Pantheon, which was spectacular both day and night.

It was a wonderful stay at a very reasonable price for the location.

Location is extremely convenient to sightseeing..

Has to be one of the best locations in Rome, right across the from The Pantheon and great restaurants at your doorstep.

A small gem in the middle of it all, couldn't have found a nicer hotel in a more perfect location!!!

Stayed in Annexe room so no view of pantheon which was fine and very clear when booking.

Each of our rooms had a complimentary bottle of Prosecco waiting for us and our view of the Pantheon was unrivaled.

The square it is in (Piazza della Rotonda) had a nicer atmosphere than many we had visited, with far less beggers/ Young, African males trying to force sell bracelets etc and lots of nice restaurants.

Located immediately across the Piazza della Rotonda from the Pantheon, this nicely renovated hotel has windows that open out directly onto the piazza and onto the Pantheon itself.

Highly recommended for the helpful team, good breakfast served at a restaurant across in the Piazza della Rotonda and great view.

Fortunately the rooms are equipped with coffee-making equipment as the breakfast is served in an outside cafe.

The breakfast was tasty and they even provided breakfast to go when we had early morning tours.

Everyone is just sooo friendly - Antonio recommended a wonderful restaurant (Pietro al Pantheon) near the hotel.

Tons of delicious restaurants within a five minute walk.

Literally in front of the Panteon and close to restaurants and shopping in all directions.

Also nice, there are many restaurants nearby, which we took advantage of after long days of sight-seeing.

Room was a bit small for a double room and the bed was most definitely NOT a king size

The rooms are small (as you would expect in an old building in such a location)

however, a pretentious, overpriced pseudoboutique hotel of sort: the prices and the attitude are correct for a hotel with small rooms and no common spaces. Overall a positive experience due to the professional, friendly staff, the honest prices and (did I already mention it?)

The rooms are quite small and not the most modern.

The room itself is of a decent size, with room 502 having one room facing the pantheon and another small room having a sofa bed (we used this room to get ready/ store luggage to prevent the main room getting cluttered).

but the hotel rooms were small and nothing special.

If the small rooms and multiple keys for doors bothers you you could stay in main hotel

There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel only rooms and a small reception - but there are hundreds of places to eat out there .

but the hotel staff customer service was top notch.

The staff were kind, though, and on the day before our departure they gave us an early breakfast to take away for our early morning flight.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, whether it be to exchange bills for us, or give us tips and directions.

The staff was extremely helpful and responsive when we experienced some glitches with arrangements we had made.

From the start Nimal gave me and my wife a Free Upgrade since we were visiting Rome for the first time as a part of our honeymoon and we were greeted with champagne in our room!

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

We were great warmly on arrival and given welcome bottle of Prosecco.

What stood out in this Hotel are the staff, their hospitality and professionalism.

The staff at the hotel was courteous and very efificient.

The staff are perfect - so helpful and attentive.

The staff is outstanding, and for that alone I recommend this hotel.

No mention that you have to climb a flight of stairs before the elevator is available (so not accessible for those with limited mobility).

It is a small hotel with just a small reception on the bottom and you have to walk up a stairs to the first floor to reach the elevator.

The downside is that when going from the ground level to the first level you can only use the stairs.

but didn't want to stand in the long line in the heat so we watched out the window until the line dwindled down and ran down the stairs to tour it!

We literally had to hold our breath until we got up stairs.

Not for handicapped as you must climb stairs to get to your room.

After taking it once, I chose to climb the 5 flights of stairs.

Only downside I can see is that it’s not handicap friendly (a lot of stairs) and if you’re a light sleeper the city will keep you up.

The hotel is unsuitable for disabled people or anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

To get to your room, you will have to walk up a set of stairs and then catch an elevator.

Stairs to first floor and lift from there, which may be a problem for less able travellers.

but still finished at a reasonable time for sleeping
-Free reliable wifi
-Booked with credit card points 
-Reception spoke English

Cons:
-Beds were very firm, which is not our preference
-Some noise from hallway, due to loud Americans calling up and down the stairs

Will definitely consider staying here again when in Rome!

but it might be important to someone who is unable to climb stairs easily.

For those with accessibility issue, there is a need to climb stairs one level before you can access the elevator.

The elevator is small, so I took the stairs for everything except transporting my luggage.

Be warned also that you need to be able to handle stairs if you stay here.

You do have to do stairs here so if mobility is an issue, look elsewhere.

I loved the location as it was very walkable to the train station the Colosseum and many tourist attractions.

Location wise, the hotel is in a good spot, you are within a 30 minute walk of the colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.

The location is an easy 1 mile walk from Trevi Fountain and close to the Colosseum as well.

Location is perfect, it’s bang in the centre of Rome – 10 minutes walk from the Termini train station – we just jumped on the train from and to the airport, 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colosseum and 25 mins to Vatican City.

It was about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Trevi fountain.

The hotel is in a brilliant location, being centrally located with the train station, colosseum, trevi fountain, della altare all within 10-15 minutes walk.

The location is convenient, walkable to Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon within 15min.

The location is perfect, walking distance to Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum, The Spanish Steps.

The location is in walking distance to many sites, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the train terminal.

It is about a 20 minute walk to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, about 15 minutes to the Pantheon and Trevi fountain and don't forget to visit the Basilica of St Maria Maggiore which is about 10 minutes away.

The hotel is centrally located with a 10 min walk to the Trevi Fountain and perhaps a 20 min walk to the Colosseum.

The rooms are immaculate and modern with exceptional free wifi and fully stocked minibar and coffee making facilities

Perfect location to  get to the Trevi Fountain , Colosseum, Pantheon , Piazza Navona.

The hotel is situated on a main thoroughfare about 12 mins walk from the Terminii Rail Station and about 20-25 mins walk to the main sites (Pantheon, Colleseum & The Forum) - suggest you catch the Metro for the Vatican from the nearby station & travel 5 stops for a very reasonable 1.50 Euros.

The location is good , close to termini , Trevi fountain, and the pantheon .

Beds were both very comfortable which refreshed  us after a long,tiring Rome day.The breakfast should be a an other topic to make comment.They were serving a cheese plate every day and a kind of desert as a complimentary.It is impossible to forget the taste of tiramisu .And the location;very close to main station and a walk distance to historical places like Pantheon or Colosseum.I am looking forward to stay in Hotel Artemide again.

Hotel was closed to some restaurants that were really good .

The cocktails are the best I’ve ever tasted, Maurizo Zuddio is an absolute artist and provided excellent customer service!

A few months ago, my husband saw that Alessandro is the new food and beverage manager of the Artemide Hotel.

Honestly, the hotel restaurant had better pasta than other restaurants recommended and reasonably priced.

but the main asset of this hotel are Alessandro and his breakfast and restaurant teams!

We did take taxi to some farther dinner reservations

It hit on all points: service, location, restaurant, art gallery

Very good cheap restaurants on the walk to the Colleseum.

Customer service across the hotel, restaurant and spa were all excellent.

especially the most fantastic signature cocktails by the in-house bartender Maurizio..  pop in to the roof top bar for your apperitivo!

A plus would be the food, the breakfast especially!

They have a beautiful spa and hotel roof top bar and restaurant is incredible.

A lot of the staff were excellent, particularly in the restaurants.

Ambrosia Restaurant is excellent, the filet with truffles is amazing.

even though booked months before, with a surprise beautiful dessert!

I can still taste the Americano coffee, it was so good, and the food was of highest quality, fresh, and delicious.

My partner and I particularly loved the roof top bar - Ambrosia!

You have to have the signature cocktails at the rooftop bar.

Bartender at the Rooftop bar is a Show all on his own!

The facilities are great, the roof top bar is one of the best in Rome and the cocktails are the best ever.

Visit the rooftop bar for Mauricio’s cocktails, they’re a ‘must’ experience when visiting Rome.

The thing that makes this restaurant truly stand out is its rooftop bar which is always a wonderful way to end your day with some gelato and cocktails.

Breakfast is luxurious, and don’t miss the rooftop bar.

We had evening sunset drinks at the rooftop bar 2 nights

The roof top bar/restaurant is lovely and the food delicious.

Don’t miss the hotel rooftop bar or the breakfast buffet which is one of the best we have ever had.

From the warm welcome to the delicious breakfast to the awesome rooftop bar, we had a great stay at Artemide.

The bonus of a very nice rooftop bar is very pleasant in the evenings.

Don't miss the rooftop bar and the fun bartender.

Breakfasts are superb,  Roof top bar was a wonderful oasis, delicious cocktails, amazing view, again fabulous food (need to book ahead).

Loved the rooftop bar, restaurant, spa, and excellent complimentary breakfast (cappuccino, pastries, eggs, sausages, fresh fruit).

Rooms were great, Rooftop bar/restaurant is great place to have cocktails. Amazing breakfast served in the morning (best cappuccino and croissants we had!)

The rooftop bar area was a lovely spot to relax and refresh after sightseeing.

At the Ambrosia rooftop restaurant we spent a wonderful evening.

We did the romance package which included a couples massage and dinner at the rooftop restaurant, all included.

The breakfast is excellent with a huge variety and the roof top restaurant has a very nice atmosphere as well as food and drinks.

we went back to roof top resturant for dinner , again another wonderful meal .

We had pre booked a table at the Ambrosia Roof top restaurant for Sunday night our arrival day and actual wedding anniversary.

Rooms are clean comfortable and modern with generous bathrooms for a European hotel 

Staff are warm friendly and helpful 

Breakfast buffet is excellent and a huge range
