Breakfast was delicious, the bar area again beautiful with again stunning views.

The bar and restaurant have outdoor seating, all with spectacular views of the bay of Naples and Sorrento.

The bar upstairs catered for our after dinner coffee, and the piano players or singers would be a very welcome form of entertainment, after a possible day trip, for instance to Herculaneum, which we did, also taking in the sights of Sorrento via the dotto train.

The hotel is very spacious, well maintained and ideal for couples with a nice pool area, a poolside bar serving drinks and snacks and other hotel grounds in which you can relax in the sun.

One particular staff member from the bar, Carhine, was fantastic  and gave us recommendations of local restaurants and bars, gave us a little souvenir and also brought drinks to our room!

The hourly shuttle bus means that you can explore Sorrento anytime you want, or you can just sit in the hotel bar and gaze at the views.

We found the service level overall to be excellent and consistent, whether it be the reception desk, Carla in particular, the porter, the coach drivers, the various bar teams and last

There was a piano and roof top bar which I believe had some music.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first evening with pre dinner drinks in the bar although due to an unexpected thunderstorm the terrace was closed

Pool area was spotless and the pool bar staff and life guards were all lovely and helpful.

but all you have to do is ask and they bring you a basket of gluten free treats including bread, muffins, cereals etc I didn’t have any lactose free alternatives for milk, but with the volume of items on offer at breakfast, including an omelette bar, it wasn’t needed.

The pool snack bar has a great menu and offers fresh pasta, fish and pizza large portions I would recommend you try these.

From the Bar, Restaurant, pool and roof terrace there are spectacular panoramic views.

the gentleman who works in the bar is the friendliest most kind staff member I have ever met , he gave us endless advice on where to go and what to see and even gave us canvas prints of paintings to take home, amazing !

Lunch menu also good at the pool bar and you can swap your dinner with Lunch if you want to eat out.

but it has a fabulous sky bar for total relaxation during the day.

Great location high above Sorrento with fabulous views across the bay of Naples.

We chose Grand Hotel President the venue for our wedding reception after visiting in April 2022 and being impressed by its incredible view over the whole of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples.

When we sat on our terrace the view was across the swimming pool to the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius in the distance.

We had a sea view of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius which was stunning.

We chose this hotel first and foremost for the view over the bay of Naples, and wow, it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined.

The views of Sorrento, Bay of Naples and Vesuvius volcano are simply stunning!

The rooms are beautiful, we had the suite overlooking the bay with a balcony jacuzzi.

As we opened the patio doors for the first time, we were just wowed as to how amazing the view was, looking out over Sorrento, the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, just stunning.

Wow 🤩 we were so impressed upon arrival in reception and bar area and delighted with our room location with wonderful breathtaking views across Sorrento and the surrounding bay.

The front desk arranged two great tours for us of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

We visited Pompeii, Naples, positano and amalfi coast.

If you want to eat your breakfast or evening meal looking out on the best view of Sorento and Naples Bay (including Vesuvius) then the Grand President Hotel is the hotel to book.

Stunning views over the Bay of Naples,  and Mount Versuvius,  so high up you could look down on the seagulls and passing helicopters at times.

Room itself with view of town and bay, couldn't ask for better.

The sea view rooms provide a fantastic view of the bay and Vesuvius.

Speaking of hotel as such it has got outstanding view in Sorrento and bay, nice pool and garden area which has to be a hit during summer time.

An unescorted walk from the Vatican, to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain (dry and covered in scaffolding), Victor Emmanuel Monument, and ending at the Colosseum, with various other sights along the way.

As usual, hotel prices for drinks and snacks were expensive (an Aperol Spritz was 12 Euro as opposed to the 6 to 8 Euro's in town)

Costs approx 40 euro in a taxi so a massive help.

Taxis on average costing €30 or €40 per trip.

We used the service quite a bit and it was well used in general as Taxi prices into town and back were quite expensive and varied hugely, up to 40 euros one way we had heard.

although running every hour we did find ourselves clock  watching and a couple of times had to get taxis which cost 25 euros.

A little more expensive than eating in town,

Due to what we had planned and how much time we were going to spend in our room, we decided not to pay the extra for the sea view room and were happy with our decision.

Don’t hesitate to book unless you like staying out late and are not prepared to pay the taxi fare.

but not between 12.30 to 15.30 which means that if you miss the 12.30 you are stuck at the hotel unless you pay a taxi for 40-50 EUR!!

My quick glance revealed a rather pricey list.

If you miss the bus don't get a taxi unless you want to pay around 30 euros for a 10 minute journey.

but be warned it does have a ' Siesta ' in the afternoon ( taxis back up the hill are expensive and the walk is exhausting !)

however I don't know if it was worth quite the price we paid.

but people did sometimes have to stand and it did put me off staying late in the town because I was worried if it got over full we’d struggle to get back or have to pay a taxi .

We like our food and eat decent portion sizes so asking for extra vegetables was not a problem.

The selection of food was extensive and you could even have a glass of Prosecco.

The flowers, cake and décor were even better than we imagined based on photos – and our guests really enjoyed the drinks reception, evening meal and dancing.

The food, service, entertainment, decor, flowers……..everything was exceptional!

The views are amazing especially from the restaurant terrace at night.

The choice and variety of food provided with half board was superb,

We had half board so enjoyed a meal in the restaurant every night.

The food in the restaurant, especially the a'la carte menu was delicious,  it rates as some of the best dining experiences we have ever had in Italy.. 
Go and see it for yourself you won't get better.

We ate dinner once in the hotel, and that was lovely too.

The food was a perfect amount in each serving.

We particularly enjoyed lunch at one of the jetty restaurants on the 'beach'.

Eating out on the patio area was the icing on the cake for us.

We would definitely consider returning even if the reception staff might want to take some lessons from their colleagues in the restaurant where customer service is concerned.

The food at the hotel was also amazing from breakfast to dinner.

The food was superb, we did half board and thoroughly recommend doing that.

The food (we stayed B&B) was lovely and had plenty selection to start the day!

Special mention must go to Luigi and Antonino and their team in the restaurant.

The restaurant staff were very attentive and our room was kept well stocked with fresh towels and always kept clean.

That’s ALL the staff from front desk to restaurant to cleaners to maintenance.

Piedro , Antonio  , Luigi , in fact every member staff in the restaurant went out of their way to make this a special stay .

but not least Luigi, Piero, Antonio, Giovanni to name but a few, of the restaurant team who looked after us so well during the stay.

All staff were friendly, we were always welcomed into the restaurant by the lovely smiley Luigi.

Louigi and his team in the restaurant were fantastic always smiling and nothing was too much trouble even brought us mimosas to our table every morning.

The staff in the restaurant were also fab, so kind and helpful.

Luigi and his team are fantastic and are very accommodating in the dining room.

The food is amazing and is like a 5 star restaurant the staff are amazing and always remember your orders Antonio and Francesco really stood out and made our holiday feel more special the views are out of this world me and my boyfriend went to most other hotels in sorrento for cocktails on a night and none of them compared to this one already looking at coming back for 3 weeks next year couldn’t fault it one bit

All the staff are friendly especially the evening restaurant staff.

Our chefs were Marco and Camilla and were engaging and their food as delectable.

Luigi, Antonio and Piero lead the team in the dining room and they all work very hard with nothing being too much trouble.

WE ate at the pool side bar on our first day and again had a wonderful welcome where the staff were very accommodating and the food was lovely.

Right from the waiters and restaurant staff they are friendly and are there to make your holiday stress free and restful.

Antonino, Pirlo, and all the other dining room hosts were so welcoming and kind to us when we came to eat and it was such an amazing way to start the day.

Restaurant staff are impeccable as is the food and the views from your table are breathtaking.

From arrival to departure the service was fantastic, friendly and helpful staff.the hotel is spotless, lovely pool and amazing views.delightful rooftop terrace.the restaurant was efficient and helpful in providing gluten free options regular and reliable shuttle bus into town.,though the walk down via a cobbled path through the lemon groves is lovely.would highly recommend

Our hotel room had everything we needed during our stay, including a perfect sea view balcony and plenty of space to get ready on the morning of the wedding.

As for our stay, our room was beautiful and immaculately clean, we had a sea view and is certainly worth the extra spend.

We did not have a view from our room as we were out and about on excursions most days.

Pay the few dollars extra and get a room with a balcony and a view- it is well worth the money!

Our room was a fair size with the bed looking out towards the sea and Vesuvius.

The hotel offers large bright rooms most of which have a balcony/terrace, the views from the front of the hotel are spectacular.

Easily the best outlook we’ve had from any hotel room, anywhere.

The room was cleaned/bed change and made every day.

The rooms were stunning especially the sea views !

Our rooms were very comfortable, with towels being changed every day, good TV options and tea and coffee provided.

Our room was large, comfortable and immaculate.

Really good hotel, well equipped with large, comfortable rooms and fabulous views over Sorrento.

Our room looked over sorrento - a really special view, and also the beautiful garden with sea view.

We stayed in room 112, hotel gave us free complementary upgrade with it being a special occasion!!

The rooms were spacious with lots of storage and cleaned well.

The room itself was very traditional with lovely tiled floors throughout.

but tended to be populated by the smokers.

One final aside - we asked that an ironing board and iron be sent up to the room (Italian hotels don't leave them in the rooms for some reason) and what we got was DISGUSTING - see the attached picture.

but could not detect the damp reported by an earlier reviewer.

but my husband said he could still smell the damp all week.

but admitted she smelt it and said she would have a word with the management, who then put disinfectant down which was a complete waist of time.

Hotel manager will ignore your complaints and I had to take them to court for recompense

our room overlooked the car park, try and avoid these rooms otherwise you get fumes from the coach and cigaret smoke.

So be careful and you won't have nasty shock ..

I was given the worst room in the hotel , no view and located in the bowels of the car park and  just a brick wall to look at .The room was  very damp and cold due to no air circulation, after complaining i was moved to room 128 unfortunately this was not much better as it is opposite the pool cleaning station so the motors were whirring away all night.

The hot tub contained numerous dead flies and tree debris / leaves and as such could not be used.

but it smelt musty, no windows (there are rooms on this floor and other reviews have mentioned the musty smell).

We were on the third floor any floor below this is damp and cold.

Our room had a damp smell and damp patches/spots on the walls.

though in an attempt to burn off some of the wonderful food that we couldn't resist.

However, there are still some facts to be improved, such as :
- when you are 3 persons in a room, of course you need 3 keys;
- the bathroom has a strong sewage stink mainly during night time, when maybe the ventilation is stopped and you can not control it from the switch

The reception staff were very unhelpful when we complained about the smell, they did nothing.

We were rewarded with clear view of the vehicles and heard the noise when they moved and occasionally smelt their fumes.

For two of the nights we also had a strong smell of drains in our bathroom.

although the shuttle bus every hour is very efficient in getting you into town.

On the day, everything went smoothly thanks to the amazing staff at Grand Hotel President.

The moment I contacted Anna from here, in Scotland to organise our wedding, she could not have been more accommodating and helpful.

The staff were also fantastic – they could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

All the staff were helpful and always had a smile for you!

Entire staff was courteous and extremely willing to be helpful.

The hotel staff were professional, polite made us feel very welcome , even having to deal with a couple of very unpleasant guests (?). .

Evening meals were an absolute delight, the waiting staff were so professional, giving their expertise on wines, or choices for the meal.

This hotel was very comfortable and the staff were great.

The service was excellent, all the waiting staff were so kind, professional, courteous and friendly.

However, the hotel run a shuttle into town which is prompt and only takes 10 minutes

but what really sets it above the rest is the staff , they all go out of the way to ensure your stay is fabulous .

Drinks were good, and they had real aperol not a brand copy like lots of all inclusive have.

Desserts were the best we’ve had at an all inclusive.

Ignore the negative reviews this is By far the best all inclusive holiday we've been on.

It’s like they didn’t want you to have your all inclusive drinks!!

We are a family of four and all-inclusive holidays have become our holiday of choice.

* Beach is great (clean and clear) 
* Food quality is much better than other all inclusive hotels we have been to.

but that is classic all inclusive to be honest, always trying to shorten the drinks, when you want your money's worth.

Without doubt the best All Inclusive hotel we have experienced and the service in the buffet balcony better than most 5 Star hotels, thank you to Nick and the team for looking after us.

Just back from a weeks all inclusive and overall a very good holiday, some good and not so good points below:

Beach was excellent, great bar and superb fresh pizzas, also gyros, burgers, hot dogs.

This is in no way an “ultra all inclusive” resort as it sells itself to be, it’s wonderful in many ways

but your standard all inclusive grub perfectly fine and enough choice.

The all inclusive bars and food being extended down to the beach is brilliant.

Considering this is an all inclusive, we are eating buffet food all day long.

Most 4 and 5* all
inclusive would have a selection of wines to order by the bottle.

I find all inclusive can be hit or miss - this one is a huge hit.

I was expecting 5 star luxury with the added bonus of all inclusive or ultra all inclusive as they advertise.

This is a fairly pricey all inclusive and one of the explanations for that is that dinners at the 3 al a carte restaurants are included.

The drinks very good probably the best I've had at an all inclusive in Greece.

BARS - I have never had drinks so good as part of an all inclusive holiday.

There was also pizza, gyros burgers, hot dogs available at certain times on the beach.

Also the Beach bar is in a great spot for a beachside beer or Mojito.

We travelled to Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel with another family in August 2023.

The pizza and gyros on beach was good and the crepes were nice.

Bars
We mainly only used the beach bar of a day and the Villagio Bar in the evening.

At the beach there was delicious pizza, gyros and hot dogs.

It is located in the Mitsis village and on the beach.

We have stayed at the Norida beach many times over 20 years, and at the Blue Domes as well and have seen the hotels evolve.

Right on the beach and sea crystal clear.

There is also a crepes and icecream available most of the day and another pizza oven down on the beach.

A few bars all included by the beach and the pools.

but not often and the pizza and gyros bars on the beach offer a good alternative to the buffet lunch if you’re looking for variety.

Very good location, good food, cascading swimming pools, beautiful beach, very good and friendly service.

Our rooms were spacious, clean with a great view of the mountains, with the sea to the side.

Our room was clean and tidy - we actually got upgraded to a sea view room for free on arrival which was lovely.

The pools were clean and lovely, along with the sun beds.

Of course, I can’t comment on any other rooms only our own and I must say that the rest of the hotel complex, including the grounds, beach and toilets, were well kept and clean at all times.

We loved everything about this holiday, the staff were lovely, everywhere was spotless and the food was good especially in the a la carte restaurants.

Beautiful pools, super clean hotel and other areas, great food.

Our room got missed with the cleaning one day in the maisonette where we stayed was not always cleaned as thoroughly as before.

The main restaurant was professionally managed, clean and the variaty of the food amazing.
