 - Lots of construction ongoing and was given room right next to it.
 - We were woken up one morning by the construction noise,

 - The lifts are a bit of negotiation when you have several large suitcases
 - It's an old hotel with all that comes with that; narrow corridors, small rooms, small lift
 - The hotel has very small rooms, the elevator only fits two people, Service at this hotel was very cold and not so friendly.
 - The room we were then given was in the corner next to the lift and was so small we could only just move around the bed and had to move a chair to open the wardrobe.
 - As other reviewers have said -it's two buildings joined together , you need to take an elevator to the first floor then another to any other floors above.

 - I looked at a standard room and the rooms were small with small bathrooms, depends how long your spending in your room I guess.
 - The shower was tiny and some people, dependant on height and size may struggle to get in, out and wash below the waist.
 - Shower was on the small side
 - The bathroom was also tiny and uncomfortable.
 - however i have never seen such a tiny bathroom.

 - The Spanish Steps are a 10-15 minute walk away and the collessium 30 mins.

 - Yes, it was nicely decorated
 - The decoration of Hotel Romanico is designed to make it feel like you are in ancient times,
 - The Romaico Palace offers all of the modern conviences, a lovely breakfast room (included), and like many of these types of hotel, also offers an array of beautiful architecture.
 - Staff were very attentive and the hotel was very clean with an authentic Italian design.
 - The style is what you would expect for a Roman hotel/room.

 - I was annoyed that the hotel thought that it was acceptable to put us in a mouldy environment in the first place.
 - There was a musty smell from our bathroom.
 - Has a very damp smell throughout.
 - To sum it up- moldy, smelly, dirty rooms.

 - She didn’t mind that their were staff and customers everywhere.
 - although it was marred by COVID-19 the staff did everything to make our stay as memorable as possible for the right reasons.

 - Staff couldn't have been friendlier and were so helpful in recommending restaurants for us, and booking them.

 - Very limited choice of food at breakfast, as soon as we got up to get a coffee our table was cleared within seconds even it being far from busy.
 - It was often left with no hot water for tea.
 - My only criticisms are that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I consider a basic.
 - Said no tea coffee in room , next day we asked again and one was provided.
 - Tea facilities were chargeable so be sure to take your own.

 - Ensure you book all your taxi rides and excursions independently as the hotel do not tell you that they are increase the prices - for reasons they do not care to share with you.
 - but exactly the same each day Good turkish bath & Sauna in basement All in all i would rate this a 3 star hotel not 4 star
 - We had to pay city tax at the end of our stay
 - but I would not pay to use.

 - The location is ideal - 5 min walk from Piazza Navona and Pantheon, and centrally located between Colosseum and the Vatican so all sightseeing is walkable.
 - It really is just a few steps away from Pantheon, restaurants & places of interest.
 - Pantheon a stones throw away and so easy to access Campo di Fiore and Trastevere in the other direction which are my other favourite places.
 - The hotel is in a great location very close to the pantheon and a short walk to attractions such as the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps.
 - The hotel is located very well for all the sights like Pantheon, Campio de Fiori , etc.

 - We had a spacious room for three people, which was decorated beautifully.
 - The rooms are unbelievable, the bathtub is so cozy after a long day of walk and it’s super clean.
 - Beautifully designed and kept with a spa bath in a separate room.
 - A lot has been written about the great location, the STAFF and the beautiful interior and design.
 - Really close to all the main spots in Rome and rooms were truly beautiful with some 50th century restored paintings or roofs which made the ambient even more cozy and romantic.

 - The staff is really friendly, they help you out anytime and always with a smile.
 - The multilingual receptionist Marta gave us a quick introduction to the different attractions and recommended places to eat on a map provided, fortunate as neither of us had done any research beforehand.
 - The staff were superb, from setting up the room for my partner's birthday to giving us tips on the best restaurants.
 - The staff who did the breakfast are very helpful and did the best they can to help the people.
 - Their staff was the perfect example how a great hotel distinguished itself from “the rest”.

 - We thought the balance of location and price made this a perfect place to explore Rome - walking distance to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican, Colosseum etc!

 - Only down side was the lift, as it is an old building the lift is very small!
 - Super small elevator
 - The elevator is so small that one person with stroller did not fit.
 - That building also has a very small lift, and the doors open into the lift, which further constrains your space.
 - The lift is tiny and we had to go to reception in three trips as with luggage you can't all go upstairs in one go.

 - The hotel is set back from the road you have to go through large wooden doors first on the main road which makes it even more desirable to stay in as you can hear no noise when you are in your room.
 - however we were woken every night in the early hours of the morning by substantial noise in the room above.
 - The only downside of our room was it was located close to the dining room and other guests entering/exiting the dining room from 7am could be noisy and inconsiderate, so perhaps avoid rooms in this corridor if you want to sleep beyond 7am!
 - The only complaint is that you can hear everything from the rooms above.
 - but the insulation between rooms is not great as it is evident that perhaps larger apartments were separated into multiple rooms and therefore not properly sound proof-ed.

 - but with palatial rooms, fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean, proximity to Termini and Castro Pretorio metro station it is worthy of more.

 - It's part of the original building and I hope it receives the continuing care and attention it already receives - I did wonder how often the reception staff have to run up the stairs to close the doors when somebody doesn't comply.
 - There are 3 steps leading to the elevator and several leading into the hotel so it is not accessible for anyone who can't go up stairs.
 - There are doors between the stairs & elevators and the corridors with the rooms,
 - We waited for a good five minutes before lugging our luggage down four flights of stairs. 2.

 - 3 minutes walk to the nearest metro and 5 minutes to the main "Termini" station for all trains, all metro and buses.
