The room was spacious and clean with a modern design, the staff was very kind and the breakfast was excellent.

Nice hotel, decent sized clean rooms, helpful staff in reception clean small well cleaned bathrooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast served every morning with variety of food and drink options along with washer dryer facilities inside hotel, vending machines for water , sodas and other items made our stay very pleasing and relaxing right at the heart of Rome!

The hotel is clean and modern, the housekeeping staff is constantly at work cleaning the common areas, and the daily cleaning and changing of sheets and towels kept our room spotless.

I was blown away by the interior design of the hotel and most importantly its cleanliness.

The hotel rooms are clean, modern & functional.

Checking out tomorrow; so happy we stayed here for two nights before heading home. Extremely CLEAN (the janitorial staff is always working very hard, thank you from 206!)

Our room was very modern and contemporary, clean and everything worked perfectly.

Rooms were very clean, roomy including the bathroom & more Importantly, very, very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was lovely, rooms were very clean and modern for a city hotel.

The only negative was that this shower was really small.

The shower is tiny; it was impossible not to bang my elbows on the sides while showering.

The mattress is on the firm side and the shower is small.

Minor points taken away for the small shower and breakfast not being included.

Cons: small showers, can be bit noisy if you are facing the street.

The rooms are small which is common for lots of European hotels, so you may be tripping over your luggage if you have a lot.

Though our room is small, the design provides for many areas for storage--we were able to store our large suitcases under the bed.

While the rooms are small, they have all the amenities and hopefully you're not spending your vacation in the room.

The fitness centre is small and very little room for stretching.

Our room for 3 people was BIG - a real find in a city of small rooms - and had enough storage to accomodate 3 decent suitcases and accessories.

Along the corridor from our room there was a small room with two self service machines; one had sandwiches, crisps, chocolates, pop and beer and the other had razors, tissues, toothpaste etc for those late night munchies/emergencies.

The hotels location was excellent as we walked to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish steps and the villa Borghese.

I'm a runner and was able to plan a route to Villa Borghese park.

•	Villa Borghese / Borghese Gallery – took us 20 minutes’ walk although the hotel advised getting the Metro to Spagna

We walked everywhere from the hotel - fontana di trevi, piazza di spagna, collosseo, vatican, piazza navona, pantheon and villa borghese!

Delightful stay - the breakfast was lovely, the staff were warm and welcoming, service was outstanding, hotel is clean and the rooms are neat.

It was lovely, fresh and clean and has a fantastic rooftop bar where you can relax after a fun day of sightseeing.

The premises are in good shape, cleanliness is their top priority and the staff will be taking care of you in case assistance is required.

The lift wasn’t working for the week so had to carry our luggage up to our room.

Lift doesn't work, no hot water night or in the morning.

Notes: the elevator is out of commission and, according to the front desk, will be for some time.

There were no elevators and if you have mobility issues this can be a real problem and the shower was like getting into a cubicle with no room to move.

Only downside is the lift doesn’t work so it’s a very tough climb up to 4th floor on steep stairs even for fit people😅

The only issue we had was that the elevator was not working, so walking up and down the stairs was a bit of a workout for a couple in our 70's.

The elevator was broken and the staff was very apologetic

Lift was broken, staff were unhelpful/rude.

The next day we woke up and the lift was broken, so therefore I had 3 flights of stairs to get to reception.

The lift is way too small (3 pax can barely stand in it) and stops at intermediate levels, so you always have to climb up/down the stairs for reaching the rooms, which is quite inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage.

Negative includes: very small room, tiny elevator (1 person with luggage at most), elevator stops between floors (so, at least 9 steps to walk) and VERY small shower.

This is a boutique hotel, so there is only one small elevator and stairs are more convenient.

every time I arrive back to the hotel I have to wait 5 to 10 minutes just get on the elevator.

Only complaint would be the very small elevator that stops in between floors so one still has to either go up or down a flight of stairs to get to your room.

The only downside was the size of the corner shower which was really small and barely manageable.

The bathroom is also small and everything works.

but the bathroom…..we had to step up 2 steps to a small door into the very small bathroom.

However, another family member was in a different room and their bathroom was quite small

The shower takes a little getting used to because it is small

The shower was rather small and not the easiest to move around in.

We stayed here for 8 nights so a few things were frustrating:  a tiny shower that might not accommodate a person with above average weight or height, the lack of hair conditioner and Kleenex, and a satellite TV system that does not work consistently.

The room was adequate for our needs (although the shower was a little small!).

though the small showers took some getting used to.

The only minus would have to be the very small shower!

Not everything is perfect, though, the safe in the room is very small.

The elevator/“lift” to the rooms is quite small as are the rooms themselves.

The elevator is VERY small & there is only room for one person with luggage at a time.

Hotel was very outdated, the rooms were small, the bathroom shower was a nightmare, very small and dangerous  (almost fell out) with little to no water pressure.

The cleaniness
Once again, yes the room was small,

so we asked to move rooms
As its just 2 small and room was dirty.they met is with contempt.

It was very helpful to have the services of the concierge, especially in reserving our tickets to the Villa Borghese.

We walked everywhere, , the hotel is a comfortable walk away from the trevi fountain, villa borghese, the vatican everything, , perfect location and great value for money!

Villa Borghese is also within walking distance.

The staff were friendly and personable as well as extremely helpful, including booking some last minute tickets for us at the Villa Borghese and recommending places to eat.

There is a fantastic park (Villa Borghese - third largest public park in Rome) if you're tired of pavement and stone.

Furthermore, at the extreme you can walk to Villa Borghese in about 40 minutes, visiting most of the key sites along the way with a few detours.

Termini serves Fiumicino Airport by direct service). From the Raffaello, access all Rome from the Via Urbana metro stop (change at Termini stop for access to the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, etc, etc, etc!)

The room itself, while not 'fancy',  was bright, well lit and  clean.

The rooms were very clean and just what was needed.

This was a spacious, comfortable and clean hotel with great proximity to many attractions like excellent dining, scenic streetscapes and off course, the colosseum.

but very clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

but clean rooms and roof top bar is priceless.

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and housekeeping cleaned every day with fresh towels, bins cleaned, etc.

The shower doors did not close properly, and the only amenity in the bathroom was liquid that you were supposed to use as both shower gel and shampoo, and which left our hair like straw.

Walls between rooms are not soundproof so there might be some noise from the TV in the room next door.

Also the walls in the hotel are very thin and when the  guests next door came back every night they were very loud and we could hear also conversations they had threw the wall.

It is a three star hotel, it makes no pretention of anything else, in fact it displays the stars proudly on the door canopy.

but maybe not in 38 degree heat next time, with all the walking required

Hotel colosseum you have been fantastic, my only regret is we didn’t leave a tip as we was rushing so much in the morning that we literally walked out the door and didn’t realise until we was on the way back to the airport.

Shower door was not slotted into place properly and my partner had to fix this.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, shower cubicle was a little bit on the small sideand very close to the sink, we were placed a towel over edge of sink so the shower door and sink didnt meet.

Bathroom was small, and it took a bit of time till we figured out how to open the shower door without banging the sink,

Also, don't expect any of the good (non-tourist) restaurants to open until at least 7:30pm and please don't go in any restaurants that have waiters begging you to enter at their front door.

Shower door bangs into sink on one side and toilet on the other.

Somebody knocked multiple times on my door before 9 am and at about two hours later somebody even came into my room while I was in bed!

The room we had was on 1st floor between banging and creeking doors used by cleaners from about 3am?!

The lights switches are only by the bed, none by the door.

The bathroom was so cramped that you couldn't open the shower door all the way.

Bit noisy at night, with very loud toilet flushing and doors slamming,

Again room kinda small and it took a little getting use to that one of the beds was pretty much a half step away from the bathroom door.

20 on the 2nd floor even had doors opening onto a small terrace with ivy covered trellis & a table and chairs.

Still, I did not like the idea of my room being unlocked in this manner – especially after I returned one evening and found the door unlocked even then – WHICH MEANS THAT THE DOOR TO MY ROOM HAD BEEN LEFT OPEN ALL DAY.

The only complaint came from the people next door.

Only the door of the shower didn't close that well so the bathroom was a bit flooded after a shower.

The rooms are small and the bathroom was tiny ( shower stall is quite squishy and the location of the water handle isn’t optimal).

The room and bathroom was quite small, and the hallways were loud.

North Americans may find the rooms and bathrooms small

Both were small and basic, dated in their furnishings, with small bathrooms.

but rooms were super small and shower was unconventional (handheld).

If I had to find something negative, I guess it would be that the shower is too small,

Small bathroom - might be a challenge for larger folk.

The room and bathroom were a little small

Bathroom was a bit small, not much room between toilet and zink in our room,

Room was small and shower is not for anyone that is not skinny.

The beds were a little uncomfortable and the stand up shower was small,

The room although very well kept was a little on the small side

The bad: the room was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable, and the  TV screen was smaller than our computer monitor, with not even CNN in English despite the hotel being full of English speaking tourists.

We had a hard time getting use to how small the room was, we had two single beds and it was smaller than twin size.

Bad points are rooms quite small and walls are paper thin.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, albeit room 31 was a little small.

The room was small and did not feel like 16m2.

This hotel is a marvellous find within walking distance of all the main sites  - Colosseum just round the corner, Santa Maria Maggiore literally at the end of the road, Palatine Hill 10 mins, Doria Pamphilij 15 mins, Villa Borghese 40 mins, Vatican 45 mins - and more besides in between.

Room itself was clean, stylish, well equipped and comfortable.

The hotel is very stylish, staff very friendly, immaculately clean through out and a great location for exploring Rome we found.

We stayed here 3 nights in September 2023, upon arrival around lunchtime we were lucky our room was ready, it was very clean & had the most comfortable bed with tea coffee & kettle, also a safe.

The rooms are clean, have good air con, decent shower/bathroom - ideal for a couple.

Both rooms were large, quiet, clean, bright, modern, had comfortable beds with memory foam pillows.

We got taken out of reception up the street through a dark old door and up a lift to our room… no nice reception to walk through in the nights or morning just a random lift and door out onto the street!

however if we required anything from the main hotel you need to take the key card to get back into the building and in doing so the rest of you sit in the dark as this operates the lighting in the room.

The rooms there is no natural light which was a little downside, a little dark as the window just faces a wall.

The second room we moved into had a good few lights broken which was annoying as the rooms are quite dark.

but it was a lot smaller than I expected and very dark as we were on the first floor and just outside the window was a metal staircase which blocked most of the light coming into the room.

but this did not work and there was no other light the other side either so it was very dark especially when trying to make tea.

It was slightly dark near the door to the room and we couldn't make the light stay on for longer than a minute so it put the full length mirror on the wall out of action as you could barely see your reflection.

It was very dark in the room and as the clothes in the wardrobes covered the wardrobe lights I found myself having to walk clothes to the window to see them.

however the lighting in the our room (202) was simply too dark.

The negatives:  The rooms are dark and the lighting is inadequate and everything is designed for form, not function (illuminated table??).

The hallways are very dark, and a bit tricky.

While the rooms are dark without too much natural light and no view, we found the room lighting to be good.

It was very dark with a tiny window overlooking a dark service area.

there just isnt enought of it. The room is dark itself (yes i know its a "mood" hotel!)

Felt like it was dark within the room and wasn't able to see how the weather was due to that.

The room was very dark, so much so that it was difficult to read the air con control that was by the door.

however has very poor lighting so it was difficult to see whilst rummaging through luggage etc.

We stayed in room 201 so not sure if the other rooms have a view or atleast some light.

but then when you get there you realize half their business model and vibe is keeping all of the lights half-dimmed so you don't notice the scuff marks and peeling wallpaper.

Only thing I would say they could go to improve is to add some fairy lights and a few more seats to their roof terrace.

Our rooms were very small and poorly lit, with no natural light coming in through the windows that were just a view of a brick wall!

Only issues was the lack of lighting in the ante room, made it hard to find things in our bags.

The lighting under the sink was flickering on and off when turned on, the tub drained slowly and poorly, the water temperature would go from cold to scalding hot, the room safe kept giving me error messages

My wife was very disappointed with the lighting above the bathroom mirror, finding it almost impossible for applying make up.

but could have done without the blinding table that was to double as a lamp.

Cons (not many and absolutely nothing major):
-	Our room was a really weird shape and had no natural light as the window was an internal one.

This perhaps was due to the fact that the room had very little natural light.

although it had one light situated behind the rack where you put your clothes this was inadequate.

Transtevere neighbourhood, vatican city, pantheon and villa borghese are easy  to get to as well via metro.

We were able to walk to all the major sites- Colosseum/ forum, Spanish steps, Trevino fountain, Villa Borghese, Trastevere, Piazza Navona, etc.

It is about a 35-40 minute walk to Villa Borghese and around 45 minute to the Vatican.
