Helpful features include self service laundry (about ten euros to wash and dry good sized load) and the vending machines dispensing everything from toothpaste to Moet.

Nice hotel, decent sized clean rooms, helpful staff in reception clean small well cleaned bathrooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast served every morning with variety of food and drink options along with washer dryer facilities inside hotel, vending machines for water , sodas and other items made our stay very pleasing and relaxing right at the heart of Rome!

Secondly the rooms, a good size with a large bathroom.

As two friends traveling together, we appreciated the solid bathroom door, which seems to be disappearing from European hotels.

The amenities - a great breakfast buffet, a convenient laundromat, a rooftop restaurant and location  near Roma Termini and Republicca Metro.

Very comfy bed and bedding, and a lovely en-suite with great shower.

Rooms were very clean, roomy including the bathroom & more Importantly, very, very comfortable bed.

The rooms were modern and nice (and have a bidet!).

Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was great and the breakfast was 5 stars+.

The rooftop is lovely- you can sit up there and relax while enjoying snacks, wine, and beer from self serve vending machines (very reasonably priced for a hotel! Wish all hotels had this amenity.)

The hotel is clean and well presented, located within 15-20 minute walks from the Trevi fountain and Colosseum/Roman forum.

Location also fantastic, about 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum and 15 minutes in the opposite direction to the Trevi Fountain.

We walked to all of the other sights -- Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and the Spanish steps.

The location is within walking distance to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Termini Metro Station (4 min), Opera House (30 seconds), Trevi Fountain (15 min), Presidential Palace (6 min), The Coliseum (10), The Roman Forum (20), Republic Plaza (4 min), etc.

The only negative was that this shower was really small.

The shower is tiny; it was impossible not to bang my elbows on the sides while showering.

The mattress is on the firm side and the shower is small.

Minor points taken away for the small shower and breakfast not being included.

The rooms are small which is common for lots of European hotels, so you may be tripping over your luggage if you have a lot.

Though our room is small, the design provides for many areas for storage--we were able to store our large suitcases under the bed.

While the rooms are small, they have all the amenities and hopefully you're not spending your vacation in the room.

The fitness centre is small and very little room for stretching.

Our room for 3 people was BIG - a real find in a city of small rooms - and had enough storage to accomodate 3 decent suitcases and accessories.

Along the corridor from our room there was a small room with two self service machines; one had sandwiches, crisps, chocolates, pop and beer and the other had razors, tissues, toothpaste etc for those late night munchies/emergencies.

but otherwise good (although it could use a shelf for soap, etc).

Nothing was an issue, we had a leaky shower and they fixed this for us very promptly and no problem since.

The bathroom was marble with modern cool looking sink and fixtures.

Very comfortable room and we had a newly renovated bathroom which was very modern.

Traditional decor, comfortable large bed, working air con. Adequate bathroom (although for some reason there wasn’t ever any hot water between 2 & 4pm which is when we came back to shower having spent the whole morning in the hot sun walking for miles!)

Our room, one of the terrace suites, had a brand new bathroom that is beautifully redone.

While the rooms were spacious and well-furnished, the bathroom was too cramped.

The Hotel Raffaello was a sweet surprise of outstanding accomodations, amenities and staff.

The rooms and bathrooms are a nice size, comfortable beds, and a very good breakfast.

Double shower head - toiletries provided and a hairdryer in the bathroom beside the mirror.

It had two shower heads and a basket for shampoo etc.

The bathroom had a hair dryer which was very convenient.

We arrived at the hotel at 13:30 and our room was ready 
We were in room 212 and the room was lovely and clean, plenty of wardrobe space, a king sized bed which was very comfy and a good sized bathroom
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Our room was on the first floor (American second floor), good size, nice bathroom with tub and handheld shower, very clean, a king size, very comfortable bed, and good lighting.

The lift wasn’t working for the week so had to carry our luggage up to our room.

Lift doesn't work, no hot water night or in the morning.

Notes: the elevator is out of commission and, according to the front desk, will be for some time.

There were no elevators and if you have mobility issues this can be a real problem and the shower was like getting into a cubicle with no room to move.

Only downside is the lift doesn’t work so it’s a very tough climb up to 4th floor on steep stairs even for fit people😅

The only issue we had was that the elevator was not working, so walking up and down the stairs was a bit of a workout for a couple in our 70's.

The elevator was broken and the staff was very apologetic

Lift was broken, staff were unhelpful/rude.

The next day we woke up and the lift was broken, so therefore I had 3 flights of stairs to get to reception.

The lift is way too small (3 pax can barely stand in it) and stops at intermediate levels, so you always have to climb up/down the stairs for reaching the rooms, which is quite inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage.

Negative includes: very small room, tiny elevator (1 person with luggage at most), elevator stops between floors (so, at least 9 steps to walk) and VERY small shower.

This is a boutique hotel, so there is only one small elevator and stairs are more convenient.

every time I arrive back to the hotel I have to wait 5 to 10 minutes just get on the elevator.

Only complaint would be the very small elevator that stops in between floors so one still has to either go up or down a flight of stairs to get to your room.

The hotel is centrally located, 10min walk to colosseum and roman forum ruins, 10min from bath ruins and national museum and around 25min to trevoli fountain and Spanish steps.

The hotels location is brilliant as it is easy to walk between Termini and some of the bigger sights such a the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi fountain and so on.

This is a great little hotel only about six blocks from Roman forum and four blocks from subways and trains.

Location is everything, within walking distance to the Colosseum/Roman Forum, the train station, and major sites such as the Santa Maria Maggiore and the Diocletian Baths which is now a church.Staff is helpful and a full breakfast is provided.I will definitely come back!

- 10 minutes easy walk from Roma Termini Train station, great for quick ride to Vatican City and its tourist destinations
- Basilica Di santa Maria Maggiore was 2 minutes walk
- 15 minutes walk to Colosseum & Roman Forum

- Great hotel staff, helped us to keep the bags with them till our rooms were getting ready and we went exploring the city.

It's in a great location 10 minute walk from the Colosseum/Roman Forum and 10 minute walk from the main Termini train station.

It is superbly located, within easy walking distance of the colosseum, Roman Forum, Il Vittoriano monument and Palatine Hill. In fact, with this hotel as our base, we walked everywhere across the city and saw everything we wanted to (and more!)

Convenient location - about 5 min walk to the Termini Station, about 5 minutes to Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, and about 20- 25 minute walk to the Coliseum, Roman Forum, etc.

The hotel is ideally located, just a ten minute walk from Rome Termini and within walking distance of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps (all around 15-20 minutes).

You can easily walk to Roma Terminii,  the Roman Forum and in the opposite direction the Colliseum.

The Raffaello Hotel is very conveniently located near the main train terminal (Termini) and within easy walking distance to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

The hotel was walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Termini Station and walking-short bus trips on Via Nazionale (2 blocks away) to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Vittorio Emmanuel, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and definitely a bus to Vatican.

It is a good location as coliseum/Roman Forum/Palatine Hill are all about 10/15 mins from here.

In terms of location – Hotel Raffaello is within comfortable walking distance (1 km) of a number of tourist attractions, including the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain.

We loved the location -- about 10 minute walk to Termini train station and about 15-20 minute walk to Colosseum and Roman Forum.

We walked to most sites in Roma; the hotel is within easy walking distance to the Colosseum & Roman Forum.

but again you can walk to the collesseum and roman forum within ten minutes and the subway to get everywhere else is about five minutes away!

The location is superb - just 10-15 mins walk from the Colosseum and Roman Forum which was the main focus of our stay.

It was on a great localization, close to Colisseum, Roman Forum and Termini Train Station.

The hotel is located about 1/2 mile from the main train station and is in walking distance to sites like the Colosseum, Roman Forum.

The only downside was the size of the corner shower which was really small and barely manageable.

The bathroom is also small and everything works.

but the bathroom…..we had to step up 2 steps to a small door into the very small bathroom.

However, another family member was in a different room and their bathroom was quite small

The shower was rather small and not the easiest to move around in.

We stayed here for 8 nights so a few things were frustrating:  a tiny shower that might not accommodate a person with above average weight or height, the lack of hair conditioner and Kleenex, and a satellite TV system that does not work consistently.

The room was adequate for our needs (although the shower was a little small!).

though the small showers took some getting used to.

The only minus would have to be the very small shower!

Not everything is perfect, though, the safe in the room is very small.

The elevator/“lift” to the rooms is quite small as are the rooms themselves.

The elevator is VERY small & there is only room for one person with luggage at a time.

Hotel was very outdated, the rooms were small, the bathroom shower was a nightmare, very small and dangerous  (almost fell out) with little to no water pressure.

The nicely stocked fridge, temperature of the room, 10 foot ceilings, lovely bathroom, and sheer beauty of the room  truly exceeded our expectations!

friendly, and helpful, the rooms are beautifully decorated (as are the public spaces), the amenities are great, the breakfast upstairs on the terrace - with views in two directions - is super, as is dinner.

That is one of the things that I look for--the carpets were beautiful and the bathroom was meticulous.

The bed was comfy, shower pressure was good.

The rooms and its bed & pillows were very comfortable and we also enjoyed the bath quite a lot.

I liked the room and the amenities, a room was street facing with a very nice palm facing the window.

The only improvement would be to have some sockets next to the bed so you can charge things next to your bed

Beware of high charges from taxis back from main areas.

We accidentally broke one of the bike keys and was charged for a replacement which I feel wasn’t warranted.

but most have a card scanner so you can enter with your own card.

Even little Italian candies awaited us in the rooms at check in with a sweet card that had Halloween motifs!

Taxi rank at end of street, opposite Colosseum - confirm with driver prior to hire journey is metered, otherwise you may be vastly overcharged - witnessed this regularly!

When we got back from dinner someone at the front desk tried to tell me that we would be billed for this broken glass container.

I did think there was a lack of charging points in the room and a lack of lighting, particularly in the evening.

We contacted the hotel with more than 24 hours notice, and they still charged us a 1 night cancellation penalty, claiming the hotel required 3 DAYS NOTICE.

Travel tip: in case your phone runs out of battery, take a Hotel Business card with you so you can show return driver the address) sometimes our pronunciation of the area is lost in translation.

This seems to be only a ROME thing as other parts of Italy we could add to credit card.

I am sure that if you go to this heartless hotel they will see you just like a bill, coin, check, credit card or travel check and non like a guest who are given them the money to eat.

buttons sometimes work and sometimes don't, so I couldn't turn lights on or off as I wanted, so I'd just pull the card out and wait for them to go off on the timer.

You can only pay by credit card and the ticket covers entry to both attractions and is valid for 2 days.

When we arrived from Australia our bags did not and the hotel reception took charge of chasing the airline to get our bags for us and thankfully they arrived 24 hours later.

Hotel does not have an iron in room or available and charges for pressing clothes.

Drinks can be served up here and charged to your room for check out.

The only downside for me, and this is probably expected from a hotel of this standard, is that the hotel charges for pressing rather than allowing the use of an iron in the room.

This medium sized boutique hotel, 65 rooms I think I recall reading, is a mere 3 blocks from the Colosseo and Roman Forum, at the end of quiet via with a few pleasant, reasonably priced restaurants along its length.

Situated on a quiet back street of Rome, within a short walk from the Colisseum and Roman Forum, this gem of a hotel is perfect for a stay in the Eternal City.

Our room was spacious with high ceilings and the bathrooms are fully renovated, very clean.

Very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and good storage.

Hotel Quirinale has such a great location and combines the lovely old Italian character with modern amenities!

Our room and bathroom for 3 adults was very spacious.

The location is walking distance from many of the attractions, Trevi fountain, Baths, Spanish, Steps Forum and Colluseum to name a few.

The floor of the bathroom has many cracks.

Our room (434) has modern bathroom, 12' ceiling and lovely paneling.

The bathroom was a good size with a full bathtub.

Spacious room and bathroom with 2 sinks, very clean.

The rooms were lovely, the bathrooms even lovlier.

The bathrooms are large, very well appointed,  and have endless hot water.

Pros: 
1) short walking from Repubblica Metro station, which means you are well connected to most parts of Rome
2) good selection of food for breakfast, and choices of seating (in the dining room, veranda, garden, etc)
3) good hot water for shower
4) rooms facing the centre courtyard is very quiet; no traffic noise at all.

The view outside our window was horrendous,

The rooms are not too bad in size, just very noisy as there are floorboards on the floors so you hear everyone walking in hallways as well as dragging chairs in the upstairs rooms.

This means that there are occasional creaking floors and small repairs have had to be made to the edges of corners, etc.

Noise level from street and bar is awful.

You can hear your neighbors conversations.

Hi loved your hotel apart from one very large flaw my wife and I stayed on the 3rd floor in a lovely room which was completely spoiled by the almost constant vibration emanating apparently from the underground metro I reported this to the manager on the day of my checkout were apon I was told it is because the hotel is historical

I think staff need to serve coffee and tea to tables,too much movement by guests, if hot drinks if drop on arrival to table,that's a issue,as too many times to go to table and back.

You could hear conversations in the next room quite clearly, luckily our neighbours weren’t too noisy so it wasn’t an issue,
