 - And getting to the apartment, up steps and down steps and in a little lift which opens 'outside' is a bit spooky in the dark.
 - The 3 foot square elevator,
 - The hotel is very old and cannot be altered, so the elevator was a bit of a shock- its about 2.5x3 feet- just enough for bags to get in.

 - Elevators were not working, rooms look nothing like what is advertised and finding it was difficult for even the local taxi drivers!

 - The Trevi fountain is maybe a 15 min walk, with the Spanish steps and upmarket shopping not much further.
 - The location is also ideal - well within walking distance to Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trastevere, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, several restaurants and wine bars, and more.
 - It's literally a 5 minute walk to the roman forum, 7 minute walk to the colosseum, 10-15 minute walk to pantheon, around 15-20 minute walk from trevi fountain and 25 minute walk to the spanish steps.
 - Easy walk to the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, and Spanish steps.
 - Not only is the Forum only about 3 blocks away, the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Trevi Fountain were all within a 5-10 minute walk.

 - Easy walk to Coloseum, Forum, Metro stops and many great restaurants for reasonable prices.

 - We were welcomed with a cocktail in part of the ancient forum. Wow!
 - Very well located with the forum, coliseum and palatine hill within easy walking distance.
 - Fun welcome with time to explore the crypt containing ruins from the Roman Forum along with Prosecco and tiramisu!

 - We had a huge balcony and the shower was wonderful!
 - The bathroom is lovely with the rainfall shower.
 - Everything we needed: Luxury toiletries, mini-fridge with complimentary drinks, plenty of storage, good A/C and incredible bathroom.
 - We had a lovely bathroom with walk-in shower and Acqua di Parma toiletries, very confortable twin beds, an armchair, a desk with a chair and a minibar which was included in the rate.
 - Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and we stayed in a junior suit which offered a good size bathroom.

 - In total we paid nearly 600 dollars for one night: absolutely not worth it and will be avoiding Hiltons and their cost cutting measures for the forseeable future.
 - but nope, all was covered by the points except a minor occupancy tax.
 - We don't usually eat meals in the hotel as they tend to be overpriced and marginal at best.
 - some of the jets in the swimming pool do not work, and faucets in the restrooms in the public areas provide no water, indicating overall poor upkeep despite expensive materials.
 - We had one lunch at the restaurant - overpriced

 - The services are all high quality, not least the food, the bar and the spa.
 - The spa is beautiful and is booked beforehand.
 - Spa service was very enjoyable.
 - We also had access, upon reservation, to the indoor pool with jacuzzi and to the sauna.
 - We used all the amenities of the hotel including their beautiful spa with their fitness center in the former vault of the original bank, another must see!

 - 2) Water pressure in the shower could have been better.
 - When we asked for water we were told only the mini bar bottles were available.
 - some of the jets in the swimming pool do not work, and faucets in the restrooms in the public areas provide no water, indicating overall poor upkeep despite expensive materials.
 - We were given a room (205) that had a huge pipe junction right outside the window that had water gushing down it all night (it wasn’t raining).
 - Unfortunately, I found no hot water.

 - It's part of the original building and I hope it receives the continuing care and attention it already receives - I did wonder how often the reception staff have to run up the stairs to close the doors when somebody doesn't comply.
 - There are 3 steps leading to the elevator and several leading into the hotel so it is not accessible for anyone who can't go up stairs.
 - There are doors between the stairs & elevators and the corridors with the rooms,
 - We waited for a good five minutes before lugging our luggage down four flights of stairs. 2.
 - From the street to reception there are at least half a dozen stairs.

 - We love the location: near Termini and even nearer to a metro station.
 - but with palatial rooms, fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean, proximity to Termini and Castro Pretorio metro station it is worthy of more.

 - It was a super long Roman summer holiday for me and Hotel Canada was one of the two properties I stayed during this summer.
 - It was our first day in Europe, and we arrived after a short train ride from the main Roman airport.
 - it's within walking distance of the roman ruins and easy to find.
 - The beds are comfortable, the decoration is quaint and perfect for a Roman holiday.
 - Two bonuses of staying here were easy access to the bustling Mercato Centrale food hall in the train station, filled with hungry and appreciative Italians, and also the Museo Nazionale Romana, an amazing museum of ancient Roman art.

 - The hotel is well-located, a nine-minute walk to Termini (with an express train to Fiumicino) and two minutes from Castro Petrorio metro on Line B.
 - Exited the train at the termini and walked to hotel carting all the luggage.
 - 3 minutes walk to the nearest metro and 5 minutes to the main "Termini" station for all trains, all metro and buses.
 - It is thus possible to travel from Fiumicino Int’l Airport (on train) to Rome Termini, and then walk (with your luggage) to the hotel.
 - The Express train from the airport is 14 EUR so the bus was a good deal.

 - The elevator is small
 - There's one tiny elevator for the whole hotel.
 - Elevator was small,
 - The lift is tiny,
 - Hotel Canada is a three star hotel in a converted 19th century building - so walls could be thin and its elevator is small (fit two persons with luggages).
