We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Bath staying at the fabulous Dukes hotel.

The hotel is only approx a 7 minute walk from the centre of Bath, which is ideal.

I would stay here again if I was ever to come back to Bath.

We stayed for 5 nights in this really nice accommodation in Bath.

Dukes is the perfect place to stay in Bath as it is located just a minute's walk from the centre of the city.

The en suite was a good size with a large shower cabinet.

The bath was big and deep and perfect after a long day!

We had booked an extra 4 days in Bath and were lucky enough to find this truly lovely hotel We arrived very early and were greeted so warmly,  We dropped our luggage went out for a walk and returned to have our beautiful room ready with luggage in it.

If staying for more than one night, there should be an expectation that your room would be serviced with all room amenities (
replenished etc as opposed to being asked on check-in if you want this provided in the first place.

Our choice - Wellington- had a stunning view over the street, large bedroom, useful ante-room and large bathroom with  bath and good, powerful over-bath shower.

I will definitely stay at Duke’s when I return to Bath.

The shower is tricky and you can’t help

The beds were the most comfortable of our stay, as were the shower and bath tub.

The bathroom was particularly large and reasonably modern.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Bath then this is the place to stay.

The whole building is beautiful and everyone we spoke to was so friendly and helpful, giving good advice of places around Bath to see and to eat.

Dukes Bath is in a brilliant location for exploring Bath.

The location is perfect to explore Bath and we strongly recommend this hotel.

We would recommend very highly and we will certainly choose Dukes for our next visit to Bath.

We didn’t have the breakfast as we were meeting friends in the centre of Bath

I was a bit concerned because it was the start of the heat wave in England and our rooms were on upper floors (no lift by the way).

There is no lift - not permitted in the classic Georgian houses which constitute the hotel.

The only other thing to mention is that there are no lifts (which is clearly stated on the website)

One point to note - there is no lift, so those with ailing knees may wish to request a room on the lower floors.

Only downside is lack of lift and next time we’ll bring two small suitcases instead of one large one!

Note due to the nature of the building there is no lift and also whilst the hotel issues a resident parking place they can be tricky to find.

Tip: If your not the most mobile request a ground floor room as there's no lift.

Nothing was too much trouble for her, she advised us of the available parking permit, the 6 flights of stairs to our 3rd floor room( no lift because the building is listed) or the option to swap to a lower floor and when I asked for help even recommend and booked our evening restaurant, all before we had arrived!

Mind you the actual building is an architectural masterpiece - therefore N lifts to the upper floors.

As an older building it has no elevator, and it is a considerable climb to the top of the building.

We stayed in the Grafton room which is at the side of the property on the second floor (no lift).

but we highly respect the fact that the building is listed and they cannot put any elevator and we were inform by that during booking.

I didn't mind the lack of a lift, nor the lack of wifi on the top floor, nor the price, for the sheer beauty of this place.

There is no elevator and the staff ran our bags up the stairs while we parked our car.

One thing to be aware of is the snug rooms are up 6 flights of stairs.

We had to  set off early for a balloon flight, so a snack breakfast was brought to our room the previous evening.

but as the breakfast is served in the basement then I'm not sure how you'd get down the flight of stairs and there are also a couple of steps to get into the hotel from the street.

Our room was on the 2nd floor up 4 flights of stairs.

I stayed in the Grafton room which was up four flights of stairs.

Our room was on the top floor - so 3 flights of stairs with large bags was a little physically challenging

It was up several flights of stairs, which wasn't a problem for us

I still had 1 flight of stairs down and then up again to access breakfast,

The breakfast room is down 1 flight of stairs.

but four flights of narrow steep stairs were a bit much for us, so if you have any difficulty with climbing stairs you might want to ask for a room on a lower floor.

so if you need to avoid many flights of stairs ask for lower level rooms.

After a long flight from Australia we could not have happened upon better lodgings in Bath and we were delighted with our choice of  The Dukes Hotel.

but each flight is only half a floor so it's really the third floor or something like that.

The only downside is that as a listed building they cannot install a lift so if you struggle with stairs there are about four to get to reception and you have to go down a flight for breakfast

but there are bedrooms on ground floor - breakfast walk down one flight of steps to basement so if you are not very mobile this might be an issue but otherwise perfect.

As we were only staying the one night we had to stay at the top of the building up 6 flights of stairs.

The only negatives were carrying luggage up and down 3 or 4 flights of stairs and the noise between rooms and from the street.

It was indeed a long climb up, and perhaps if I'd truly appreciated steep nature of the six flights, I would have booked a different place to stay.

We decided to take four days in Bath incorporating a Concert at The Forum .The Dukes was our choice reflected by reviews.So lovely in every respect with a short stroll to the town etc.17 rooms on offer all named after Dukes as the name suggests .So tastefully decorated and comfortable ,Nothing was too much trouble for anyone.

My sister and I stayed at Dukes as we were attending a concert at The Forum.

We stayed one night to see queen at the forum so splashed out on the four poster room and it is fantastic made the weekend.

With the parking permits they provide for Great Pulteney Street, you couldn't ask for a better location.

A parking permit is provided which meant just a short walk into the city centre.

Parking was available on street with the included parking permit, and an area was available to unload/load luggage just in front of the hotel.

Fabulous hotel, well positioned with the bonus of a parking permit.

We could park on the street using the hotel's parking permit.

The location of the hotel is ideal to discover the fine City of Bath with the added bonus of a parking permit for each room to allow you free parking for the length of your stay, there was always a space available nearby.

Parking permits are available with a laminated pass for the windscreen for the duration of your stay just pick a spot highlighted on a street map and all sorted there is no charge .All in all a wonderful Hotel

Dukes is in a fantastic location and the parking permits are a real bonus because we could park the car for the stay pretty much outside the hotel and then we didn't use the car when we were there as Bath is a very small place.

We also asked for parking - they give you a permit for FREE which can be used in that local "zone" at all times of day & night which is perfect.

The staff were very helpful and the parking permit very necessary in what is normally a very busy city, and very welcome in not so busy Covid hit town.

The position in central Bath is ideal and the parking permit a great boon.

With the added bonus of parking permits and a short level walk into the heart of the city, everything is positive about this well run family hotel.

The parking permit was most welcome and we were able to park just outside the hotel.

Car park permit given free on arrival so you can find a space in the nearby streets, which are all residential.

We received a car pass permit when we arrived and easily found space to park near the hotel.

You will be given a parking permit to park on the local roads, which was great, we managed to get parked just round the corner.

We were fortunate to get a parking space in William Street,  a short walk from the hotel, and they provided us with a parking permit for the duration of our stay.

Luckily I managed to find a parking spot on Edward street very quickly so parking wasn’t an issue (and even when I handed the permit back to the hotel on Sunday, we could still enjoy a day in bath and leave my car in the same spot, no parking restrictions on a Sunday) 

We stayed in the Devonshire room which was really lovely.

It is altogether an excellent hotel, with an added bonus that they offer guests a parking permit for the hotel’s locality.

We arrived to a warm welcome, a free parking permit (worth its weight in gold) and a beautiful room overlooking the historic Great Pulteney Street.

And the location was perfect- just 2 blocks from the crowds at Pulteney Bridge

for me this IS the palce to stay in Bath right next to Pulteney Bridge and so on top of ALL the main places to see or visit whilst feeling like you are out of the way from the hustle and bustle of city life!

The Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths and the main shopping areas are

But this is Bath, in a historic location, five minutes from the centre of the city, on a beautiful street, and with the prospect of walking over Pulteney Bridge as your commute.

It’s in a great, quiet location really close to the city centre - 5 minutes from the Pulteney Bridge.

The hotel is located about three minutes walk from Pulteney Bridge and  about 6 minutes from Bath Abbey.

There are good restaurants close to the hotel and the Pulteney Bridge is a stone’s throw down the road with charming photo opportunities.

All the major attractions are walking distance from the hotel:  The Abbey, Roman Baths, Thermal Bath Spa, Pulteney Bridge, and many shopping options.

Easy walking distance to The Pulteney Arms, a local pub that is not touristy at all, and plenty of restaurants near the Pulteney Bridge on either side.

The situation of the hotel is also perfect, being a level five minutes walk to Pulteney Bridge, down the beautiful Great Pulteney Street and only a few minutes more to the centre of town.

You will not find a much better location right in the heart of the lovely Great Pulteney Street, close to the very pretty Pulteney bridge and lovely river crossing.

Situated where it is, it's nice and quiet, yet only a gentle 5min walk into the city centre, and you get to cross the Pulteney Bridge on the way!

The location is fabulous, a 3 min walk from Pulteney Bridge, so really close to the action

Fantastic location between Pulteney Bridge & the Holbourne Museum.

It is only a short walk to the city across the Pulteney Bridge and there are plenty of local restaurants and cafes.

The hotel is located on the lovely Great Pulteney street and it was a very short walk (5 to 10 mins) up the road to all of the major Bath sites including Bath Abbey, Roman Baths, Markets, Pulteney Bridge etc.

It's a beautiful building in a fantastic location, right by Pulteney Bridge.

The hotel is located more or less equidistant between Sydney Gardens and Pulteney Bridge, about 20 minutes walk from the train station.

A beautiful Georgian townhouse, just steps from the Great Pulteney Bridge, and the Baths.

The Dukes Bath is near these landmarks: The Roman Baths, Great Chalfield Manor, Writhlington Leisure, Bell Farm Alpacas, Castle Combe Village, Nightingale Valley, Lacock Abbey, John Coles Park, Crocs R Us, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole Caves, Falfield War Memorial, Highgrove Gardens, Cheddar Gorge & Caves, Glastonbury Tor, Chepstow Castle, The Shoe Museum, Bath Abbey, Hidden Valley Bushcraft, Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust, Melksham Assembly Hall, Castle Combe Circuit, Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock Abbey, Eddie Cochran Memorial, The Frome Independent, The Lanes, Filton Sports & Leisure Centre, Bristol Aztec Spa, Westonbirt Arboretum, The Bishop's Palace and Gardens, Cheddar Crazy Golf, Royal Wootton Bassett Old Town Hall, Chalice Well, Greenbank Heated Outdoor Swimming Pool, Termele Romane (Roman Baths), No.

but this was remedied speedily and with great charm and courtesy by Roman which was much appreciated.

So a special mention to Carol, Jeff, Alexander and Roman who where just lovely.

We saw the Roman Baths, which were very well explained, Bath Abbey - the tower tour of 212 steps was hard going!, and the excellent Herschel Museum.

The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Bath Spa station and less than 10 minutes from the Bath Abbey, Roman Baths and central Bath.

The hotel is situated within a 10 minute walk to the Roman Baths and the centre of Bath.

From my first email enquiry through to checkout Carole, Nicky, Katie, Roman & Millie were all so helpful, attentive and interested in our plans for our days out, even giving us safe storage for our bikes.

Honestly there is nothing they can’t do for you and they are sooo welcoming 
Roman and Cathy were absolutely lovely.

This hotel is comfortable and quiet, yet just minutes from walking to the Roman baths and the Bath Abbey.

From the welcome upon arrival by Nicky, to the continued service by Roman later on, it truly was a warm and friendly hotel.

The museums and galleries in the town are very well presented; the Roman baths, the Fashion Museum, the Holburne and Victoria Art galleries all well worth visiting.

The location was well placed for visiting the Thermae Bath Spa (well worth a visit) and the Roman Baths plus many eateries.

The staff, Nicky and Roman during our stay, were informative, helpful, gracious and attentive- what more can you want.

Dukes hotel is in a beautiful building and in a fabulous location - no more than 15 mins walk from anywhere you’re likely to want to go (and only 5-10 mins from some really great food and things to do, like the Victoria art gallery, the roman baths and the Abbey).

Roman was always helpful and followed up with our every needs.

The hotel is a five minute walk from the town and 10 - 15 minutes from all the major attractions (Roman baths, Abbey etc).

Apart from Roman, who manned the reception area and bar at night, the staff are a collection of feisty alpha females who are knowledgeable about Bath, efficient in their roles and highly personable in their dealings with the public.

Room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great room ( the Norfolk) with the most comfortable bed of our entire trip.

The rooms are truly wonderful and traditional, which I love.

Our room, Wellington, is large and gracious with its high ceiling and period style decor and furnishings.

Our rooms were great and the breakfast lovely.

The rooms were lovely with the largest fluffiest towels I have ever had!

They upgraded us to the four poster room which was very very nice.

Delicious breakfasts, reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff, quiet, spacious rooms.

The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly making it a real pleasure to visit the breakfast room each morning or to have a pre-dinner drink in the attractive rear garden.

Excellent stay and good all round, room very comfortable, staff very informative and caring, breakfast very good.Helpful in planning our walking trip and have us a map well marked to help.Very good service, comfortable and spacious bar and restaurant.

Beautiful building, perfect rooms and friendly staff.

The room was very clean, very peaceful and very tastefully laid out.

We stayed in the Norfolk room, which was located on the ground floor (only a few stairs into the property).

We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel with its wonderful staff.

Carole is a perfect host and Alexander is a real credit to the team.

Right from the time we arrived, until we left, I have never met such a friendly committed group of staff.

Carol and her exceptional team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and their attention to detail is impeccable.

The man on reception later on was equally as friendly and kind!

Be aware of this if you have trouble getting up stairs and ask for a room on a lower floor.

If you are not comfortable with stairs, this is not the place for you.

There are plenty of stairs to most of the rooms, and no lift,

We had one of the smaller rooms at the top of the hotel and had been warned in advance of the stairs and the size of the room

The hotel is old school, so you do have to walk up stairs to your room, which does not have AC,

We quailed at the prospect of carrying our 4 bags (more than one over 40 pounds) up those stairs.

Even before we had arrived, this 'Posh B&B' had gone the extra mile to accommodate us by helping avoid a room with stairs.

Note:  Most rooms require long stair climbs

if you're not good with climbing stairs, make sure to check there is a room available on a lower floor).

So we could hear people walking about above, using the stairs and the traffic outside.

We chose the Marlborough Room, spacious well appointed great bed, beautiful character, nice little extra touches.

We also met Carol who was present at breakfast and check out, a lovely personal touch.

And on check out, payment was simple and we even got given a little bag of mixed sweets for our onward journey, another great touch.

The Dukes is a friendly, well located, clean, comfortable hotel with a touch of luxury, My daughter and I stayed in the Wellington suite for two nights, on the third floor facing quite a busy road.

The little bag of sweets given on check out was a lovely touch.

Fabulous hotel can not fault the location the staff are all friendly we had a lively geeeting from Nicky each time she saw us and the owner Carole is present at breakfast and chats to all guests which is a  nice friendly touch 
We  just had the most fabulous breakfast with perfect poached eggs quality produce on the plate and my partner loved the scottish oats with touch of brown sugar and whiskey so much he had it on both mornings!

Extremely friendly and helpful with a really personal touch.

We enjoyed the personal touch this Hotel has, and would like to return at some point in the future.

The madeleines at the end of the meal a lovely touch.

All in all this place gets a massive 5/5 from us, the little touches go a very long way and I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

There were lovely little touches such as home baked mince pies and shortbread available for guests in reception and the bar.

although it was redeemed by tasty homemade touches like the almond bites and fresh madeleines.

It's those kinds of touches that make guests feel especially comfortable.

shower good .breakfast was one of the nicest I've ever had .if in Bath again we would definitely stay again .I would give Dukes 10 out of 10 so many nice touches .I could go on

It's the staff and the little personal touches (fresh baked madeleine cakes at breakfast, little eggs on Easter Sunday, sweets for onward journey) that really makes this hotel stand out.

The breakfast was excellent, with the Cream Eggs underneath knitted chicks for Easter a cute touch.

Every minute detail is thought of - even down to giving our son a birthday present which was such a lovely touch.

Lots of thoughtful little touches and loved all the tasteful pictures & paintings in the room & around the rest of the hotel.

The breakfast has a Great selection and homemade madeleines which was a lovely touch.

It is clean, good quality, and the rooms and bathrooms are BIG with full size windows.

Suite was newly renovated and water pressure was amazing.

It gave us time to visit with our friends until late into the night in a beautiful setting

The master bedroom had a his and hers bathroom with a huge richly tiled adjoining  shower.

Big, clean, luxurious, nice bedding, great pool area & huge master bath.

Free valet service, free coffee, free tea, free toiletries, free bottles of water, etc.

The room was huge, had floor to ceiling windows on all sides and even had a spa bath with Las Vegas strip view along with a huge lounge/dining area, kitchen, second bathroom and beautiful bedroom with dual aspect views.

Huge shower, huge spa bath, and the room itself was bigger than expected.

The bathroom was large and had a jacuzzi bath and a shower.

Everything was clean, the bathroom was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Las Vegas and it is an extremely pet friendly hotel with lots of amenities and a very accommodating staff.

Our room was very large, had a fridge and stove top, plenty of storage areas, sitting area, huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub, double sinks, separate restroom area, huge marbled shower.

Our hotel room was beyond great, beautiful views, super clean, full kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, full size sub zero fridge with ice maker and my husband’s favorite; two bathrooms.

- Good location, opposite Fashion Mall
- Great Views from our hotel suite on 42nd floor
- Good security at reception, you need to tap in before going up on the elevators
- Great amenities such a pool
- Bathroom was great, fixtures were made of quality
- Kitchenette in hotel suite,

Living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, full size kitchen, ect… Velet parking was a breeze, and everyone was ready to assist in any way possible.

This Resort is one of the best we’ve stayed in and we’ve had timeshare for 37 Yrs and used it all over the world.The resort is a five or six star resort with all the amenities you could wish for from Gym Spa, Pool ,great restaurant which you could order your meal to go, which families did with small children.

Slippers arrived, no robes, had to chase again..

 Had a pool day, which was very nice, excellent pool staff, and nice pool with seating.

It was a decent size though and had a nice bathroom,

Atmosphere : WAY more quiet than casino hotels.
