 - I felt that the furniture, walls, bathroom seemed old and a bit run down rather than very grand which is what I was imagining.
 - Most disappointing of all was the poorly insulated walls.
 - but very dated and the walls / doors were quite dirty (or in need of new paint), and there was a lingering smell of nicotine and smoke.
 - They were painting the walls outside our room which commenced at 7:30am.
 - My main complaint was no view from window, looking onto wall with air conditioners on, no daylight let in so curtains were kept closed, very depressing for 5 nights☹️Position, rest of Hotel and Breakfast was great,

 - We were given a very nice room overlooking the inside garden, with a big balcony.
 - Our room was large, with a garden view, and a welcoming bottle of wine as a honeymoon gift.
 - The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. The garden was lovely especially as it was 14 degrees and warm.
 - And the central garden is a very pretty spot to escape to from the business of the city.
 - We had dinner in the restaurant which is in a lovely relaxing garden out the back, breakfast the next was also very expansive with hot and cold options.

 - The walk back to the hotel from the trevi fountain is a killer.
 - The hotel is very well placed for walking to the main attractions in Rome (the Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc) and is only a 5 minute walk to Termini train station, for trips further afield.
 - Location: The Quirinale Hotel was located ideally near most of the major attractions that were on our list----The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colliseum, and the Vatican.

 - One small minus for beeing noisy.

 - I took buffet dinner, which costs $30 per person, the only thing is EVERYTHING WAS COLD, I was pissed off as imagine eating salmon and ribs cold.
 - It is better Thant the tram because there is some cold air (although I wouldn’t say it has got air-con).
 - but only 15 mins by tram to the centre and breakfast was cold every day, also could do with more vegan options for breakfast
 - but the ‘hot’ food was often cold, particularly at breakfast, which was a shame.

 - The inn is on a dead end drive (it ends with stairs and a small fountain), so there is no car traffic.

 - The shower was leaking so had to be fixed,
 - But they seemed to fix that, and asserted that it was a one time thing.
 - but things that I picked up on and with those small nags fixed it absolutely would have been a 5.

 - We spent a week at this hotel and chose it for the roof top pool, knowing it was a little further out than most other hotels.
 - This is a very nice hotel with great staff and a rooftop pool, small gym and bar - perfect for relaxing after a hot day in Rome.
 -
 - Roof top pool.
 - Clean rooms, friendly staff, and the rooftop pool is a great way to catch some rays.

 - -Taxi organised to the airport at a fixed rate of 50E when the trip took around 15 mins.
 - The city centre is easy accessible via this hotel by a taxi or bus connection nearby.
 - A taxi will be with you within 5minutes of asking at reception.
 - Location was okay, about 15 min drive from the centre and the hotel do a fixed €10 taxi rate there and back before 7pm which I thought was really good value for money.
 - The reception staff order the taxi which arrives promptly.

 - The hotel offer a taxi service for €10 to Piazza Venezia which is a central location.
 - The only fault is the location a good 20 -25 minute journey on the number 170 bus to the piazza venezia so returning from a days sightseeing to change before heading out for the evening can be rather a chore.
 - No worries Piazza venezia Rome city centre, is only 15 minutes away by taxi and thanks to hotel voucher you only pay 10€/ trip.
 - There is a bus stop about 5 minutes walk away with a direct bus service to Piazza Venezia, taking between 20 and 30 minutes depending on traffic.
 - What I liked very much this time, was that they have an agreement with a taxi company to carry guests for 10 EUR from Piazza Venezia to the hotel, which was really very helpful.

 - Similar timed journeys in other taxis cost only 20-30E.
 - I booked a very expensive room here under the illusion that everything was open.
 - If you want to extend your stay the rates change so you have to pay more.
 - Also be warned city tax is hefty.
 - Breakfast was very basic and i personally didnt enjoy it especially at there high price charges.

 - There were lots of restaurants nearby and a really good place for gelato just steps from the front door.
 - The hotel is very conveniently located for transport, the 40 and 64 bus (the public buses which stop at the tourist sites) are right out side the hotels front door.

 - One odd thing is that you have to get them to close the windows and turn on the AC to shut out the street noise, then it was very quiet.
 -
 - although after closing the windows, you would never know it.
 - However, all the rest was just awful: A room without windows, no warm water on the first day, poor wifi, bathroom door doesn't lock, and half of the lights didn't work. We asked 5 times (!!!)
 - but we could hardly hear it when the windows and shutters were closed.
