There were plenty of good quality restaurants in the immediate area and the breakfast served up by Ali and Denise was first class.

Good breakfast and awesome views of the surrounding mountains.

Our room was lovely and clean the food was great and plentiful and little bar just perfect.

As usual we had a very warm welcome, Ali showed us the best slopes and ferried us around, Denise provided great breakfasts that kept us going until lunch.

Pension is cute,  rooms great, clean, parking available, breakfast superb, highly recommend to stay.

We stayed 6 nights in July and could not have asked for better hosts, Alistair and Denise are a great team, providing a beautiful breakfast (Gluten free catered for), a comfortable room and more than enough up to date information about the area.

Rooms are very comfortable and breakfast good.

Lovely typical Europeon Breakfast, meanwhile you can watch live weather updates on the TV screen of the mountains and decide what you can and can't do according to the weather, I think that's a brilliant idea.

In the mornings there is more than enough breakfast choice to satisfy everyones taste and choice .

We have just returned from another brilliant week  with Ali and Denise, as usual we were treated as part of the family and nothing was too much trouble, it feels like home, so comfortable and cosy and can relax in the TV lounge with a drink after a hard day skiing etc.

Will go again and strongly recommend for singles, couples or groups as the perfect base for biking, hiking or, in the right season, skiing.

Mountain biking, hiking, skiing, tobogganing in winter to Go Karting down a mountain track in summer, Zip line.

We were very happy to be able to spend our skiing holiday with Denise and Ali again.

Great location next to cross-country skiing trails.

The Dachstein Glacier is also close by if it's a warmer day with skiing at well over 2500m.

The breakfast is ok, you can get a real good slice of energy before skiing.

A very nice skiing holiday, we pleased to again and again.

Cross country skiing was amazing, the cross-country ski track is just close to the house.

There is a great tourist area not too far away , and also a cable car to take you up the mountain, wether that be for skiing or mountain biking down .

although it is only a 10 minute walk if the weather is kind - good selection of food in town

An honesty bar is available in the B&B - a drying room for your motorcycling/walking or skiing gear.

It is a great location for cross country-ski run, walking and skiing as well.

After we admired the view onto the mountains, we had a very delicious breakfast and could go cross-country skiing on perfect groomed loipes which are easy and fast to reach at a walking distance.

Our weekend was perfect: some people skiing and some people swimming.

Breakfast was very well laid out with plenty of choice available for a long morning's skiing.

We will return and I recommend this Pension House to anyone whether it be for skiing in nearby Schladming or just a relaxing break with beautiful scenary.

An excellent base for our cross country skiing holiday with the nearest loipe within yards of the house.

We enjoyed a trip to the Dachstein glacier and also a fun afternoon on the mountain go-carts.

Host took us up to the karting mountain and we zoomed down.

We keep coming back here for the warm hospitality and amazing views.

The rooms are very clean and modern and have some of the best views you'll ever see from your balcony.

They took us out up the mountain and I had my first ski-bike experience and night time toboggan.

The venue was ideal with wonderful views from our bedroom of the surrounding area.

It was our first tour of Austria and wow what a country, great views, magnificent roads, superb food and then there was Ali and Denise, nothing was to much trouble, lending you a jacket to booking a table at a restaurant we owe them both a huge thank you.

The views & countryside were magnificent - I would recommend this stop over to anyone with confidence knowing that you won't be disappointed.

The views across the valley to the mountains are perfect and ever changing as the weather gives the view new perspectives.

We hiked, walked, took a lift to the Dachstien, rented e-bikes, ate alot, watched the cows come down from the mountains and wished we could have stayed longer.

The room was very clean and had a wonderful balcony to sit and enjoy the view.

The location is ideal if you like bends, views, mountain passes and some of the most fantastic scenery on your doorstep.

It was a convenient location to 3 mountain lifts with great views, including Dachstein.

We have stayed before with Ali and Denise who are most excellent hosts with a vast knowledge of the area for all activities.

But the wait was worth it with hosts Ali and Denise as welcoming as ever.

Ideally located for some of the best motorbiking roads around and with secure parking and the hosts local knowledge, it is a perfect choice for a base or just a stopover.

Great hosts and a real understanding of a motorcyclist's needs.

Spending a few days off the bike in such beautiful surroundings was very welcome and the hosts Ali & Denise could not be more friendly and helpful.

Haus Maria again was excellent and the activities recommended by the hosts Ali & Denise were great fun!

Bikes were garaged during our 4 night stay and our host Ali was very knowledgeable about the local area and good roads to ride being a biker himself.

The on-site restaurant serves a wondrous breakfast buffet and offers meals at both lunch and dinner, and are happy to accommodate those with restricted diets.

There was a welcome buffet on the Saturday evening with fantastic options.

Max (a young, intelligent and very eager-to-please waitor, and Doris (a lovely, 40'ish woman who is always smiling and helpful) made breakfasts and dinner so pleasant.

During our week we had two gala dinners with a huge range of buffet food, plus we had one Tartare Rustica (fondue) in the a la carte restaurant which is included in the the dinner price if you stay for a week.

In February we had a great stay at the Sporthotel Royer - the day started with a great breakfast, a wide range of bread, sausages, muesli, cake and croissants, yoghurt, pancakes, different kinds of fruit and vegetable juices, sparkling wine and freshly made eggs and so on.

Excellent, great value for the money, lovely staff, very very friendly owner always joking, Saturday Gala buffet was amazing, big indoor/ outdoor pool practically in the hotel, afternoon tea and cakes very very nice, served dinner high quality, children had their own quite large buffet with unlimited soft drinks an unlimited ice cream !!!

The food at the hotel is superb- we had several gala dinners and the 2 buffet evenings were the best I’ve experienced- no cheap all you can eat style food here!

The price includes a huge breakfast buffet and 5 courses dinner, whit excellent food and a fitting wine suggestion.

Breakfast (made packed lunch),afternoon tea/cakes,drinks with dinner.

Definitely come back again to this hotel for the ‘healthy’ stay and ‘delicate’ culinary.

We were provided all meals as part of our package, and the food that was prepared was excellent was done buffet style and was excellent every time.

The restaurants are very good, serving generous breakfasts and traditional Austrian dishes for lunch and dinner.

The breakfast was also brilliant with lots of fresh food and fruit.

Starting the day with a great and delicious breakfast that contain chees, eggs, vegetables and a lot more.

My 11 yr old fussy eater usually had a mixture of the 5 courses and the children's buffet.

Schladming hosts World Championships in alpine skiing periodically, so you can be sure that every level of ski is accommodated - while basically 'red' level.

Then we took the skiing bus and started our great day.

Huge Spar supermarket 2 mins walk and a bus next to gondola to take you to Roorhmos for more skiing.

We had a pretty big balcony with a beautiful view on to the mountains, a TV and our room also had a small hall area to hang up your coats and leave your boots after a long day of skiing!

As soon as we got back from skiing our kids would rush to the pool.

We stayed here on business and on for an extra couple of days skiing.

This will be our venue for skiing in this fabulous resort next year.No more timeshare for us!

It has a few down points as all Austrian skiing hotels do

First time to Austria with the hope of Christmas markets, good skiing and crisp cold, snowy days .

Otherwise, it is a very good choice for a comfortable base for excellent skiing experience.

Schladming itself offers plenty of skiing

Then there is the five course meal every evening which, surprisingly, is needed after a day out skiing.

We had a brilliant skiing week and were really lucky with the weather - sunny and clear.

I'm sure we'll return in the future, maybe for skiing.

although in Austria, hotels are not completely smoke free and the smoky smell from the smoking room was apparent in the bar area.

Downside: Weird smell in our bathroom (I'm guessing from the pipes) - the "double bed" was 2 adjacent single beds.

Austria has a 'hit and miss' system of non smoking rules.

- Room is airy, nice bathroom, beds were a bit too soft, wide balcony with nice view. - Wellness area: the massage service was a disaster, the masseur smelled (sic!)

If the lifts are shut then there are excellent facilities, with swimming, tennis, sauna, squash gym…

But, this hotel is just chuck full of activities: old bowling, squash, gym, table tennis, indoor & outdoor tennis, tanning, and truly lovely sauna & steam area. They have a huge Kommunal swimming hall (there will be kids having fun!)

Like the name it self, the hotel has sport facilities like tennis court, table tennis, volleyball, futsal area, gym, squash, billiard, dart, bowling, golf, swimming pool with long slide, and separate pools for kids and adults.

Very confortable and clean rooms, a lot of thinks to do indoor ( tennis, pool - big pool!- , bowling, gym, squash, billiards, dart.

Large hotel with nice atmosphere,very warm and clean with modern rooms and lot of sport facilities (squash, tennis, billiard table. and big indoor pool with a big slide inside - specially nice for kids!)

It is quite big with many sport facilities (squash, tennis, indoor pool, etc.).

The hotel has the most amazing collection of sports facilities from Swimming Pool, Tennis and Squash courts through to Bowling Alley, Billiards, Table Tennis and even a rifle range.

On the down side the pool is basically the town baths, which is not quite what you would expect from a four star hotel.

Restaurant won't aspire for michelin star

although the hotel claims for 4-star superior status, it is not worth paying 4plus price for around 3 star quality (tired, very crowded hotel).

The indoor tennis courts are great and the racquets and balls provided of a good quality.

So much to do within the hotel for non skiers- saunas, spa, tennis, shooting range and bowling and the pool is excellent.

Not just because of the cleanliness of all area's, the fabulous swimming pool with water slide, wellness centre with small gym, tennis courts, shooting range, or the spacious, comfortable bedroom, the gorgeous food, served by friendly staff, the location (within an easy walk to the main gondola) the various Apres Ski Bars that have you dancing in your ski boots straight from the mountain.

the rooms are spacious the restaurants are great , on the first day you get a table with your name that will wait for you only all the week ,
they supply all sports you like - bike tennis swimming hicking  and many more

There are lots of games and leisure facilities including a squash court, a fitness center, a first class swimming pool as well as table tennis etc.

The "haunted restaurant" area, as we nicknamed it, with its pool table, ecclesiastical paintings and chapel was quite wonderful and the three indoor tennis courts were most useful on the wet days that we couldn't ski.

As well as the tennis courts, there is also a swimming pool which is definitely worth going to.

You can drive around with the e-car or the segway, you can play bowling or shoot on airguns, play tennis, basketball, skwash, run or cycle on the jim, swim on the indor and outdor pools and slide on the 2 waterslids.

The tennis courts are excellent (rackets and balls provided free by the hotel).

Lots to do & occupy your time, from swimming, bowling, pool, tennis.

We also used the indoor tennis courts which are good.

The free wifi was not working in our room

although 3EURO per day is not excessive, the quality was not great and you had to keep logging in.

although you have to pay extra for wifi which is a pet hate of mine that in some way made up for it.

Minor disatvantage: wi-fi available only in the lobby and not so good working :(

Internet is working average and is available only in the reception.

One negative, chargeable Internet in rooms with cable for hire, wifi in reception area rather 'hit and miss' . .

The only two minor disadvantages we found were that the heating was a bit too low in the hotel and rooms and the internet connection was not so good in the loby (and only wired internet existed in the rooms).

Might be an idea to take your own cable in case there wasn't one available if you plan to use the internet.

The food in the restaurant was absolutely spot on, after eating breakfast we didn’t need to get lunch because the evening meal was amazing, the food was always fresh and varied.

We had half board - both breakfast and dinner were abundant and of great quality.

Upon short notice, we did find a nice suite available at the Falkensteiner Schaldming, with half-board (4 & 1/2 *)
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, with top level service in the restaurant (both at breakfast and dinner); also, the reception staff was very helpful and pleasant.

There were plenty of fresh glutenfree pastry options at breakfast and dinner.

5)Waitress provided me a dedicated desert after she understood that I am allergic to one of the ingredients in the desert of the menu

1)Most TV channels are in German , the only one in English I could locate was about economy.

The breakfast food selection was excellent.

I was very satisfied with the hotel, I would definitely recommend it to anyone  For my taste I would wish a buffet dinner.

The TV was a big flat screen with terminal connections on the desk so it is possible to watch your own entertainment from a USB/HDMI device without fiddling with cables at the back of it.

I also did not appreciate that after paying an above-average rate for a room, the hotel includes a “voluntary tipping” charge in the final invoice as a default.

but, for what you are paying, I was hoping to get more then a buffet at night.

but at top level hotel there should be a restrictive policy in vigor, asking the guests to pay full price for any child over 1 year old.

The price and rating of the accommodation does not meet the expectations of the guests.

On the end the price does not reflect quality.

Shame, that they try to reduce their costs with students during the summer season.

but, for what it costs, I was expecting more.

However, for the price it costs you get only massage from young ladies without enough experiences, so we couldn't feel any difference before and after.

The waiter remembered that I have food intolerance, and he always asked before a main meal if they should leave out something from the plate.

I have been to so many spas around the worlds; several of them were even Falkeinster properties in Austria and I have never been asked to enter the steam sauna without sheet.

I was dissapointed when I asked for discount.

Since I was asked about this before: what is there to do in this hotel in summer?

We had fun renting e-bikes and segways (this was actually the only the service was not good - we asked to rent segways,

My husband hurt himself while skiing and the staff went over and beyond, calling taxis to take him to hospital bringing up ice packs etc, cleaning our room when requested as he was staying inside all day.

We only managed to book a room when a second request email was sent, I guess that was due to a little short notice from us(a few weeks in advance).

The spa was pleasant and the service at the bar was great.

The hotel amenities, including the spa, are very nice and feel luxurious.

After the best Munich hotel, The Charles and the Kitzbuhel Tennerhof Gourmet & Spa, we tried to find a 5* luxury hotel on the Dachstein plateau, namely Ramsau area, which was simply not possible.

The spa area is huge with a pool, variety of saunas and plenty spots to rest.

The spa is great and never crowded, rooms big and very comfortable.

Very luxuous, impeccable rooms, stunning spa area with outdoor pool for summer and winter days.

But what is amazing is SPA esp indoor and outdoor pools.

The Spa area with steam and sauna rooms and various pools are first class and well maintained - there are several relaxation areas to choose from and having had past negative experiences with young children causing mayhem, we were happy with  'no under 16's' policy inside the private spa area.In the main pool children were welcome.

The Spa, Sauna & Gym were the best we have ever enjoyed.

Wellness is very good with outdoor sauna and outdoor whirlpool.

It has everything one would expect to find in a 4+ fine dining, very clean room, courteous and efficient staff plus a superb spa facilities including heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool.

I went in a lot of ski hotels and on my opinion this was one of the best. the spa area is amazing rooms are clean,new and quite big and at the end fantastic dinner:)))

Moreover, the rooms do not offer much privacy as the bathroom is only separated by glass walls and doors.

However, the issue is that since the water is so clear, blue and reflective off the side metal walls you can see all of the snot and mucus / discharge floating in the water. GROSS.

although too much glass: doors, walls so would not say I was extremely comfortable when showering as the bathroom just exactly in the site of front door.
