For those reasons I wouldn’t return, definitely recommend booking somewhere closer to the beaches and parking in long stay car parks if you’re there for the beaches/town

We made this our main summer holiday destination this year due to the chaos at the airports, and, we made the right decision to stay at Premier Inn,  quintrell downs, just over 2 miles from Newquay,  on the bus route, choice of 3 buses, and train station, couple of nearby village pubs, and the hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable, restaurant/pub, lovely food and drinks, free car parking, perfect ingredients for a lovely stay, especially as the sun shone the whole time

Car parking is free which is good as a lot of premier inn charge for this.

The Inn was very quiet despite how many cars where outside I don't think we saw or heard anorher person, good facilities in the room and the large bath was great!

Parking easy and safe  the hotel is situated just in the right place for a visit into car wall and surrounding area.

but sometimes the meals are not as good as others  showers are really good power shower beds really clean hotal really clean and easy to check in and a good size car park overall stay very good

Fairly quick to check in with a large enough car park at the back.

excellent service from all staff, very welcoming and efficient both in the hotel and restaurant with good choice of value for money food, lots of car parking on site.

Otherwise its location on the outskirts of town is perfect for heading off to explore by car.

Very well situated to get to anywhere in Cornwall by either car or bus.

Good car parking and a lift if you can't use the stairs.

Convenient location very easy to get into central Newquay and large car parking which can be a nightmare sometimes when on holidays.

Fistral beach, Newquay zoo, The eden project all a short car journey away.

The WiFi was ok, and car park was big enough to always get a space.

Made welcome from the start, slept well, very clean room and good car parking.

We went to Fistral beach, lands end, st Ives, mousehole, Eden project, Bedruthan steps from here.

Great location for Newquay - a ten minute or so drive to Fistral beach.

Had a really nice 2 night stay when attending the Boardmasters Festival, Convenient for Fistral Beach and Watergate bay.

Close enough for a couple of miles drive to Fistral Beach, and vey near the A30.

Breackfast was freshly cooked,staff friendly and helpful .

Great location,plenty of parking space friendly staff, clean rooms and a great night sleep and you wake up to a  Lovely all you can eat breakfast.

Staying as a family with young kids it wasn't a friendly or relaxing/easy start to the day, if anything it was a stressful experience.

Excellent stay, a friendly welcome by reception staff called Sarah ,  a big thank you for making our trip pleasant on checking and looking after us.

Breakfast was great evening meal was great, very friendly and welcoming staff couldn't of asked for more.

The Premier Inn at Newquay Quintrell Downs is an excellent place to stay, the staff are very friendly in both the hotel and the Treffy tavern.

We did pay for the unlimited breakfast, of which was very poor.

Bar and restaurant need proper management and food was cold and poor quality ingredients.

All in all the food experience was poor on this occasion.

The pub and meal booking gets extremely busy, especially if the weather is poor.

Very Helpful staff, But poor sleep due to Noise of aircon fans.

- Usual Premier Inn policy of only providing one hand towel (why should I always have to return to reception to request a 2nd towel)
- Had a sirloin steak one night and it was poor.

This hotel is noisy,and the bed was poor and smelt of smoke.

The breakfast was very poor compared to other premier inn breakfasts.

but major downside for me as I was on a business trip was the poor wifi (yes you can pay for an upgrade but nowadays you shouldn't have to) and the phone signal was so poor in my room that effective working was impossible.

Location was good, quality sleep was poor due to room being on top of some sort of power room, didn't see much staff and when we did they were talking g with other members of staff

This poor rating is for one particular room in this particular Premier Inn.

Was woken up by the sounds of water gurgling at 1am till 2.30am!

After speaking to guest relations, apparently I should have made a complaint as the noise was happening so they could rectify.

We had to have the window open as it was warm and so the noise of the traffic was a bit of a bother.

Unfortunately the room we were in was above the plant room and the noise kept us awake.

The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and noisy.

The noise from the road traffic at Quintrell Downs was loud and went on thru the night on the 3 nights we were there so sleep was disturbed a lot.

How would you like It If I came to your house and shoved a Air Horn through your letterbox at lets say 2:00 In the Morning three times.

This was okay until early morning when we were woken up by this lady shouting and swearing into her phone.

The only issues we had was that the bed creaked loudly with minimal movement and the free wifi wasn’t worth the hassle, which I assume is deliberate so that you pay for the more expensive ‘premier’ wifi.

but………We were given a really big room with one major issue…the window did not shut so we were kept awake all night with the wind whistling through the secondary glazing.

but with windows closed no traffic noise at all.

stay away at all costs pickedthis hotel over one on newquay seafront as some of the reviews said it was loud well let me tell you it could not have been louder then here as all you get staying here are builders rooms were not clean kettle had gunk coming out of the spout when i went to reception to ask for anougther one was met by a very rude lady saying we dont have any more!

The rooms have A/C so no issues with a stuffy room at night and not being able to open the windows due to road noise.

but being on a main road (roundabout) traffic noise was horrendous from about 5.30am onwards.

One morning we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off at 7am.

Unfortunately, I only got 3 hours sleep due to the noise so was disappointed we got a ground floor room and after a 6 5 hour journey to the hotel just needed a good sleep!

Bed uncomfortable very hard had a horrible nights sleep glad I was only here 1 night as I have never woken up so many times in one night and was only given one pillow which was so thin you may as well of not had one at all.

We kept getting woken up every time other rooms flushed their toilets, really load!

but 1 night we were woken up at just after 4 am by loud noises from the room upstairs.

I would like to commend Cathy the breakfast host in her excellent service and cheery welcome such a lovely lady .

Enough carpark for everyone eventhough i was probably the last guy on the day looking for a spot.

They toasted my gluten free bread to my liking and the staff were lovely

Stayed here a few times and never disappointed, check in quick and easy, communal areas very clean, the room was immaculate and there was a little treat left in there for us too, will continue to use this lovely hotel everytime I come here to visit my family.

By far the best stay at this handy for visiting Cornwall local attractions, premier inn.

but being understaffed at the moment is not always easy.We didn't have a sofa / sofa bed in the room this time which we did miss staying for 5 days, just a couple of hard chairs.We would return here as a good base for visiting other parts of Cornwall, & not far from Newquay, use the bus stops or the park & ride up the road to go into Newquay though as limited parking there & big queues into town.

We will visit again, we'll done to all staff during these unprecedented times.

We usually choose this premier inn when we are visiting Cornwall because of the central location, restaurant and facilities.

Wish other places we visited while we were in Newquay were half as pleasant

We were very nervous about travelling in lockdown and took various paper proofs of to the nature of our visit.

My partner and i have just returned from a 6 day break visiting family in New quay and stayed in the Quintrell downs hotel.

She really went above and beyond to make sure our visit was a pleasant one.

Hotel easy to find, well placed to visit all family and friends within the area.

although you need to book tables early as it's very popular (our visit was at end of October).

Sam our waitress in the pub area for dinner was very lovely , time for a chat about our visit.

This was our second visit and we had a lovely stay again.

This is definitely a place to visit again and explore more of Cornwall.

I just wanted to say I have went way for a weekend break with my family.to visit Cornwall,
I have stayed 2 nights and I have to say this hotel staff is the best .

Excellent location for visiting Newquay Perranporth Mevagissey and so many beaches to chose from, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family , we even went to Padstow for Rick Steins fish n chip 😝

No aircon which meant that the room was very stuffy and we had to have the Windows open.

The facility itself is tired and run down, our room smelled of damp, the bathroom fan squealed every time you turned the light on and the beds creaked.

This is an average hotel, unfortunately the AC was not working in any of the rooms and our room was extremely hot.

The room had no air con so my children were up all night too hot!

The one fan we did have was very dusty and dirty so I had to clean it the best I could.

Window had been left open so room was freezing and we got back late at night.

Booked to stay 2 nights only Stayed 1 due to the heating not working in the rooms and no WiFi and only taking cash payments the guy on the reception was unhelpful and rude he was more worried about telling how many years he'd work for the company and how many hours he'd worked that week he also told us the WiFi and computers had not been working for 20 days which I find hard to believe

For the duration of our stay (in the beginning of October) the room was usually at a stuffy 23 degrees in the eveinng & as high as 25 degrees by the morning.

I knew there was no air con when I booked

The temps of the rooms was a major issue and did prevent you from drifting off to sleep in those lovely beds (fan was provided in room)

Was concerned after reading the lack of AC comments

Cleanliness of the room is not up to the standards
Toaster and coffee machine in the restaurant was not working!

Not the expected standard especially at the premium rates charged:

No mobile signal in room
Not recently refurbished as stated on app
Too warm
No AC

but due to the extremely hot weather we had the rooms got very hot could have done with air conditioning

Rooms far to hot, fans not working, staff said to just write a review so not helpful really, restaurant staff unhappy and long wait times on food, 2hours waiting for main meals and when you have children this was unhelpful.

though our room got warm we both didn’t have a great sleep, had to keep windows open all night as there was no air con or fan.

The difference this time was that we took the easy access room for the reason below.

however this was quickly resolved from the lady at reception, good location and easy access to roads ect.

Triple glazed windows with inner one sliding to allow access to double glazed unit with angle opener.

Great place to stay for sightseeing, we travelled to St. Micheals Mount, Boscastle, Tintagel and The Jamacia Inn from here and they were all easy accessible.

The hotel is very easily accessed from  both the A38 and A30, the main routes into Cornwall.

Rooms great, access to restaurant perfect, value for money, perfect for a family budget.

Hotel is in a good location for easy access to the A30, the staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy.

These road closures will ensure gridlock and access to the town centre "interesting".

Next door is a large asda supermarket so everything  is within easy reach.

The Table Talk restaurant was easily accessible from the hotel reception area; the staff were very friendly, service was good.

- A asda and KFC within walking distance means easy access to anything u may need.

The room is new, lovely soft bed and convenient for all the road access.

Welcoming staff on reception on Friday and Saturday morning, easy parking, sanitising station on entrance.

It was easy to get to the Eden Project, the north and south coasts, the attractions of Bodmin itself.

but there is a local supermarket abd other places to get food within easy walking distance.

but a long walk back uphill from the train station and its easy to see why people chose to eat at the on-site restaurant cos its at least a 15-20 minutes walk into the town centre or a taxi fare £4-5.

This particular hotel has an easy one-way system in place for breakfast & evening meals,all explained by staff & signage.

Everything was ready so check-in was quick and easy.

This hotel is in an excellent position, easy to find and good parking facilities.

Close proximity to one of main arterial roads through Cornwall makes getting in and out easy.

but it is easy to reach the shops and tourist attractions of Bodmin from here, coming back to get an excellent nights sleep - what more could you ask for?

This hotel is very easy to drive to, and has plenty of parking available

If you don’t want to use your car to travel in to Bodmin, you can walk it in around 15 minutes,

but overall great value for a one-night stay, and staff was also friendly - thanks Lauren for everything!

Friendly clean premier inn, comfy night sleep well worth staying over when un the arae.

A very warm, friendly welcome when we arrived at the Premier Inn at Bodmin.

Welcome from reception was warm and friendly and made my two young girls feel very welcome and safe after a long journey.

The staff there are super friendly - nothing is too much trouble, it is just on the outskirts of Bodmin and if you like to have a good walk its downhill to Bodmin and uphill back.

In the restaurant, the food was average with some friendly staff.

We have stayed here several times & as with all Premier Inns, the staff are all wonderful & friendly.

We were greeted by Di who was friendly, welcoming and informative, indeed she was always very welcoming and friendly.

The quality of the decoration is poor and there has been no quality control.

the WiFi is extreme poor, not sure if they want to force to buy the premium service or what reason.

The food was awful, overcooked yet cold and soggy chips, cannonballs for peas and poor quality fish and scampi and all not hot.

The evening menu was very poor for ceoliacs which spoilt my stay.

however was extremely poor, we had to ask a staff member to take our order after sitting for 20 minutes, he carpet had food on it, the tables were very sticky and dirty, the cooked breakfast was very bad, our poached egg looked like a golf ball disgusting  wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all.

but due to the poor quality and the fact of not getting another nights sleep, due to the heat, we left at 0600 to complete a 170 mile trip and arrived so tired went stright to bed.

My wife had a tandoori mixed grill and again very poor quality meat.

Last time I was here the manager was bemoaning the poor quality of the staff and was working hard to turn the place around.

The accessible room was very poor as the bed was far too low, I was unable to get off the bed on my own.

However, dinner choice and quality was poor.

We also struggled with the wi Fi which was poor.

There is a restaurant which is joined to the hotel, in some reviews that I read before visiting it was given some poor ratings.

Spoke to the manager who said he would sort and then refused to come back and speak to us very sad and poor customer service up steps Amy to help and sorted us out. The.

The restaurant attached to this Premier Inn was absolutely horrific.

The food was okay, there are vegatarian options.

I didn't eat it drink anything from the hotel.

We had a lovely time and the food was nice.

I wet my finger and wiped it around my plate and it came clean, I could see and feel bits of food there with it.

but was less than happy with the restaurant.

After an email from my boss they professionally facilitated a stay for me with my usual food order ..This was much appreciated as thought I'd perhaps be sleeping ,hungry in my lorry.

Restaurant next door is well staffed with a great selection of food

The meal at the next door pub was very enjoyable.

Flies were around the continental breakfast which didn’t really make us want to eat it and they were around us when we were trying to eat as well.

We enjoyed a meal at Table Table, The Callywith restaurant, the staff were friendly and the good food.

It's got a pub that serves food attached and it's next door to an Asda and KFC among other things.

Good pub attached to the hotel and supermarket, fast food outlets close by.

The staff were excellent once again, and with a shortage of certain items on the menu  [not there fault] coped well.

The staff in the Table Table Restaurant were amazing.

Unfortunately we were above the entrance where people gatherd to smoke and chat at all hours!The size of the room and the quality of the bed was fine

We did and got stale in-date crisps and a very out-of-date breakfast bar.

I've stayed here twice, and each time there has been a problem with damp.

At night their was people smoking drugs and heavy drinking in the car park .We would never go back their as it had ruined our stay and could not wait to leave .

Surprisingly tired room for a Premier Inn with a n unpleasant smell and tired carpets bed and toilet.

but the smell remained snd we kept it open until midnight.

I recently stayed in a family room and the smell in the room including beds was very bad.

though drink spilled and not cleaned up, and toilets in reception smelly and dirty.

The room smelt awful when I arrived - someone clearly had smelly feet who had stayed in the room the night before.

however we politely informed them that there was what looked like boogies on the wall in our room and the receptionist told us she would get it sorted for us so we trusted them to do so , we went out for the whole day came back to find the boogies where still on the wall which isn’t exceptable at all , and you would think that the person we reported to would personally go and check they were gone , the hotel smells horrid very musty and you also get a strong smell of urine .

They even managed to burn an omelette, not sure how this is possible.

On entering our room there was a smell of damp!
