For those reasons I wouldn’t return, definitely recommend booking somewhere closer to the beaches and parking in long stay car parks if you’re there for the beaches/town

We made this our main summer holiday destination this year due to the chaos at the airports, and, we made the right decision to stay at Premier Inn,  quintrell downs, just over 2 miles from Newquay,  on the bus route, choice of 3 buses, and train station, couple of nearby village pubs, and the hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable, restaurant/pub, lovely food and drinks, free car parking, perfect ingredients for a lovely stay, especially as the sun shone the whole time

Car parking is free which is good as a lot of premier inn charge for this.

The Inn was very quiet despite how many cars where outside I don't think we saw or heard anorher person, good facilities in the room and the large bath was great!

Parking easy and safe  the hotel is situated just in the right place for a visit into car wall and surrounding area.

but sometimes the meals are not as good as others  showers are really good power shower beds really clean hotal really clean and easy to check in and a good size car park overall stay very good

Fairly quick to check in with a large enough car park at the back.

excellent service from all staff, very welcoming and efficient both in the hotel and restaurant with good choice of value for money food, lots of car parking on site.

Otherwise its location on the outskirts of town is perfect for heading off to explore by car.

The WiFi was ok, and car park was big enough to always get a space.

Made welcome from the start, slept well, very clean room and good car parking.

Stayed here a few times and never disappointed, check in quick and easy, communal areas very clean, the room was immaculate and there was a little treat left in there for us too, will continue to use this lovely hotel everytime I come here to visit my family.

We stayed 2 nights in September while seeing family in perranporth.Room was clean and well maintained.

Great location for Newquay - a ten minute or so drive to Fistral beach.

Had a really nice 2 night stay when attending the Boardmasters Festival, Convenient for Fistral Beach and Watergate bay.

Close enough for a couple of miles drive to Fistral Beach, and vey near the A30.

Breackfast was freshly cooked,staff friendly and helpful .

Staying as a family with young kids it wasn't a friendly or relaxing/easy start to the day, if anything it was a stressful experience.

Excellent stay, a friendly welcome by reception staff called Sarah ,  a big thank you for making our trip pleasant on checking and looking after us.

Breakfast was great evening meal was great, very friendly and welcoming staff couldn't of asked for more.

The Premier Inn at Newquay Quintrell Downs is an excellent place to stay, the staff are very friendly in both the hotel and the Treffy tavern.

The hotel urgently needs a refurbishment and the poor staff are run ragged due to shortages.

Just frustrated to  loose the room and to be woke up by a silly toaster location is a bit poor for a firm like premier inn.

We did pay for the unlimited breakfast, of which was very poor.

Bar and restaurant need proper management and food was cold and poor quality ingredients.

All in all the food experience was poor on this occasion.

The pub and meal booking gets extremely busy, especially if the weather is poor.

Very Helpful staff, But poor sleep due to Noise of aircon fans.

- Usual Premier Inn policy of only providing one hand towel (why should I always have to return to reception to request a 2nd towel)
- Had a sirloin steak one night and it was poor.

This hotel is noisy,and the bed was poor and smelt of smoke.

The breakfast was very poor compared to other premier inn breakfasts.

but major downside for me as I was on a business trip was the poor wifi (yes you can pay for an upgrade but nowadays you shouldn't have to) and the phone signal was so poor in my room that effective working was impossible.

Location was good, quality sleep was poor due to room being on top of some sort of power room, didn't see much staff and when we did they were talking g with other members of staff

This poor rating is for one particular room in this particular Premier Inn.

Was woken up by the sounds of water gurgling at 1am till 2.30am!

After speaking to guest relations, apparently I should have made a complaint as the noise was happening so they could rectify.

We had to have the window open as it was warm and so the noise of the traffic was a bit of a bother.

Unfortunately the room we were in was above the plant room and the noise kept us awake.

The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and noisy.

The noise from the road traffic at Quintrell Downs was loud and went on thru the night on the 3 nights we were there so sleep was disturbed a lot.

How would you like It If I came to your house and shoved a Air Horn through your letterbox at lets say 2:00 In the Morning three times.

This was okay until early morning when we were woken up by this lady shouting and swearing into her phone.

The only issues we had was that the bed creaked loudly with minimal movement and the free wifi wasn’t worth the hassle, which I assume is deliberate so that you pay for the more expensive ‘premier’ wifi.

but………We were given a really big room with one major issue…the window did not shut so we were kept awake all night with the wind whistling through the secondary glazing.

but with windows closed no traffic noise at all.

stay away at all costs pickedthis hotel over one on newquay seafront as some of the reviews said it was loud well let me tell you it could not have been louder then here as all you get staying here are builders rooms were not clean kettle had gunk coming out of the spout when i went to reception to ask for anougther one was met by a very rude lady saying we dont have any more!

The rooms have A/C so no issues with a stuffy room at night and not being able to open the windows due to road noise.

but being on a main road (roundabout) traffic noise was horrendous from about 5.30am onwards.

One morning we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off at 7am.

Unfortunately, I only got 3 hours sleep due to the noise so was disappointed we got a ground floor room and after a 6 5 hour journey to the hotel just needed a good sleep!

Bed uncomfortable very hard had a horrible nights sleep glad I was only here 1 night as I have never woken up so many times in one night and was only given one pillow which was so thin you may as well of not had one at all.

We kept getting woken up every time other rooms flushed their toilets, really load!

but 1 night we were woken up at just after 4 am by loud noises from the room upstairs.

We (3 couples) had an evening meal booked for Friday (actually in Newquay) and our anniversary meal, locally at Two Clomes.

Really nice hotel, nice room and good breakfast and dinner.

We had accommodation, ate in the pub/restaurant  connected, and had breakfast.

We had great meals both on the Friday night and Saturday breakfast which was prepared and served fresh unlike a quality hotel we stayed in, in Bristol on the way home.

This venue proved to be the perfect choice as the food was really good, the staff friendly and so lovely.

We had a family room which was the perfect size for the four of us and had everything we needed.

Air conditioned rooms is a bonus in hot weather.

We had travelled overnight, so the staff also made sure that we had a quiet room to sleep during the day.

After booking a double room at Torquay sea front hotel, we were gutted to find that they had put us in a disability room.

By far the best stay at this handy for visiting Cornwall local attractions, premier inn.

but being understaffed at the moment is not always easy.We didn't have a sofa / sofa bed in the room this time which we did miss staying for 5 days, just a couple of hard chairs.We would return here as a good base for visiting other parts of Cornwall, & not far from Newquay, use the bus stops or the park & ride up the road to go into Newquay though as limited parking there & big queues into town.

We will visit again, we'll done to all staff during these unprecedented times.

We usually choose this premier inn when we are visiting Cornwall because of the central location, restaurant and facilities.

Wish other places we visited while we were in Newquay were half as pleasant

We were very nervous about travelling in lockdown and took various paper proofs of to the nature of our visit.

My partner and i have just returned from a 6 day break visiting family in New quay and stayed in the Quintrell downs hotel.

She really went above and beyond to make sure our visit was a pleasant one.

Hotel easy to find, well placed to visit all family and friends within the area.

although you need to book tables early as it's very popular (our visit was at end of October).

Sam our waitress in the pub area for dinner was very lovely , time for a chat about our visit.

This was our second visit and we had a lovely stay again.

This is definitely a place to visit again and explore more of Cornwall.

I just wanted to say I have went way for a weekend break with my family.to visit Cornwall,
I have stayed 2 nights and I have to say this hotel staff is the best .

Excellent location for visiting Newquay Perranporth Mevagissey and so many beaches to chose from, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family , we even went to Padstow for Rick Steins fish n chip 😝

No aircon which meant that the room was very stuffy and we had to have the Windows open.

The facility itself is tired and run down, our room smelled of damp, the bathroom fan squealed every time you turned the light on and the beds creaked.

This is an average hotel, unfortunately the AC was not working in any of the rooms and our room was extremely hot.

The room had no air con so my children were up all night too hot!

The one fan we did have was very dusty and dirty so I had to clean it the best I could.

Window had been left open so room was freezing and we got back late at night.

Booked to stay 2 nights only Stayed 1 due to the heating not working in the rooms and no WiFi and only taking cash payments the guy on the reception was unhelpful and rude he was more worried about telling how many years he'd work for the company and how many hours he'd worked that week he also told us the WiFi and computers had not been working for 20 days which I find hard to believe

For the duration of our stay (in the beginning of October) the room was usually at a stuffy 23 degrees in the eveinng & as high as 25 degrees by the morning.

I knew there was no air con when I booked

The temps of the rooms was a major issue and did prevent you from drifting off to sleep in those lovely beds (fan was provided in room)

Was concerned after reading the lack of AC comments

but due to the extremely hot weather we had the rooms got very hot could have done with air conditioning

Rooms far to hot, fans not working, staff said to just write a review so not helpful really, restaurant staff unhappy and long wait times on food, 2hours waiting for main meals and when you have children this was unhelpful.

though our room got warm we both didn’t have a great sleep, had to keep windows open all night as there was no air con or fan.

The difference this time was that we took the easy access room for the reason below.

however this was quickly resolved from the lady at reception, good location and easy access to roads ect.

Great place to stay for sightseeing, we travelled to St. Micheals Mount, Boscastle, Tintagel and The Jamacia Inn from here and they were all easy accessible.

The hotel is very easily accessed from  both the A38 and A30, the main routes into Cornwall.

Rooms great, access to restaurant perfect, value for money, perfect for a family budget.

Hotel is in a good location for easy access to the A30, the staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy.

These road closures will ensure gridlock and access to the town centre "interesting".

Next door is a large asda supermarket so everything  is within easy reach.

Every Monday I have an overnight at Premier Inn Bodmin on my lorry route..the Hotel Manager Hannah and receptionist Di have always  been exceptionally good as have all the other staff ..First rate service ,clean rooms and very good and prompt food..

I visited the hotel whilst visiting friends locally, the room had everything we needed and the was clean and comphy.

We were really impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and how friendly and welcoming the reception staff are.

Welcoming staff on reception on Friday and Saturday morning, easy parking, sanitising station on entrance.

It was easy to get to the Eden Project, the north and south coasts, the attractions of Bodmin itself.

but a long walk back uphill from the train station and its easy to see why people chose to eat at the on-site restaurant cos its at least a 15-20 minutes walk into the town centre or a taxi fare £4-5.

This particular hotel has an easy one-way system in place for breakfast & evening meals,all explained by staff & signage.

Everything was ready so check-in was quick and easy.

This hotel is in an excellent position, easy to find and good parking facilities.

Close proximity to one of main arterial roads through Cornwall makes getting in and out easy.

but it is easy to reach the shops and tourist attractions of Bodmin from here, coming back to get an excellent nights sleep - what more could you ask for?

If you don’t want to use your car to travel in to Bodmin, you can walk it in around 15 minutes,

Staff extremely friendly and nothing too much trouble, particularly Di, duty manager.

They were so accommodating and so customer friendly.

A very warm, friendly welcome when we arrived at the Premier Inn at Bodmin.

Welcome from reception was warm and friendly and made my two young girls feel very welcome and safe after a long journey.

The staff there are super friendly - nothing is too much trouble, it is just on the outskirts of Bodmin and if you like to have a good walk its downhill to Bodmin and uphill back.

Lovely clean room, comfortable bed and friendly helpful staff.

In the restaurant, the food was average with some friendly staff.

We have stayed here several times & as with all Premier Inns, the staff are all wonderful & friendly.

We were greeted by Di who was friendly, welcoming and informative, indeed she was always very welcoming and friendly.

The quality of the decoration is poor and there has been no quality control.
