For those reasons I wouldn’t return, definitely recommend booking somewhere closer to the beaches and parking in long stay car parks if you’re there for the beaches/town

We made this our main summer holiday destination this year due to the chaos at the airports, and, we made the right decision to stay at Premier Inn,  quintrell downs, just over 2 miles from Newquay,  on the bus route, choice of 3 buses, and train station, couple of nearby village pubs, and the hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable, restaurant/pub, lovely food and drinks, free car parking, perfect ingredients for a lovely stay, especially as the sun shone the whole time

Car parking is free which is good as a lot of premier inn charge for this.

The Inn was very quiet despite how many cars where outside I don't think we saw or heard anorher person, good facilities in the room and the large bath was great!

Parking easy and safe  the hotel is situated just in the right place for a visit into car wall and surrounding area.

but sometimes the meals are not as good as others  showers are really good power shower beds really clean hotal really clean and easy to check in and a good size car park overall stay very good

Fairly quick to check in with a large enough car park at the back.

excellent service from all staff, very welcoming and efficient both in the hotel and restaurant with good choice of value for money food, lots of car parking on site.

Otherwise its location on the outskirts of town is perfect for heading off to explore by car.

Very well situated to get to anywhere in Cornwall by either car or bus.

Good car parking and a lift if you can't use the stairs.

Convenient location very easy to get into central Newquay and large car parking which can be a nightmare sometimes when on holidays.

Fistral beach, Newquay zoo, The eden project all a short car journey away.

The WiFi was ok, and car park was big enough to always get a space.

Made welcome from the start, slept well, very clean room and good car parking.

A good big car park, and not too far from the attractions of Cornwall.

Stayed here a few times and never disappointed, check in quick and easy, communal areas very clean, the room was immaculate and there was a little treat left in there for us too, will continue to use this lovely hotel everytime I come here to visit my family.

We stayed 2 nights in September while seeing family in perranporth.Room was clean and well maintained.

Great location for Newquay - a ten minute or so drive to Fistral beach.

Had a really nice 2 night stay when attending the Boardmasters Festival, Convenient for Fistral Beach and Watergate bay.

Close enough for a couple of miles drive to Fistral Beach, and vey near the A30.

Breackfast was freshly cooked,staff friendly and helpful .

Staying as a family with young kids it wasn't a friendly or relaxing/easy start to the day, if anything it was a stressful experience.

Excellent stay, a friendly welcome by reception staff called Sarah ,  a big thank you for making our trip pleasant on checking and looking after us.

Breakfast was great evening meal was great, very friendly and welcoming staff couldn't of asked for more.

The Premier Inn at Newquay Quintrell Downs is an excellent place to stay, the staff are very friendly in both the hotel and the Treffy tavern.

The hotel urgently needs a refurbishment and the poor staff are run ragged due to shortages.

Just frustrated to  loose the room and to be woke up by a silly toaster location is a bit poor for a firm like premier inn.

We did pay for the unlimited breakfast, of which was very poor.

Bar and restaurant need proper management and food was cold and poor quality ingredients.

All in all the food experience was poor on this occasion.

The pub and meal booking gets extremely busy, especially if the weather is poor.

Very Helpful staff, But poor sleep due to Noise of aircon fans.

- Usual Premier Inn policy of only providing one hand towel (why should I always have to return to reception to request a 2nd towel)
- Had a sirloin steak one night and it was poor.

This hotel is noisy,and the bed was poor and smelt of smoke.

The breakfast was very poor compared to other premier inn breakfasts.

but major downside for me as I was on a business trip was the poor wifi (yes you can pay for an upgrade but nowadays you shouldn't have to) and the phone signal was so poor in my room that effective working was impossible.

Location was good, quality sleep was poor due to room being on top of some sort of power room, didn't see much staff and when we did they were talking g with other members of staff

This poor rating is for one particular room in this particular Premier Inn.

Was woken up by the sounds of water gurgling at 1am till 2.30am!

After speaking to guest relations, apparently I should have made a complaint as the noise was happening so they could rectify.

We had to have the window open as it was warm and so the noise of the traffic was a bit of a bother.

Unfortunately the room we were in was above the plant room and the noise kept us awake.

The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy and noisy.

The noise from the road traffic at Quintrell Downs was loud and went on thru the night on the 3 nights we were there so sleep was disturbed a lot.

How would you like It If I came to your house and shoved a Air Horn through your letterbox at lets say 2:00 In the Morning three times.

This was okay until early morning when we were woken up by this lady shouting and swearing into her phone.

The only issues we had was that the bed creaked loudly with minimal movement and the free wifi wasn’t worth the hassle, which I assume is deliberate so that you pay for the more expensive ‘premier’ wifi.

but………We were given a really big room with one major issue…the window did not shut so we were kept awake all night with the wind whistling through the secondary glazing.

but with windows closed no traffic noise at all.

stay away at all costs pickedthis hotel over one on newquay seafront as some of the reviews said it was loud well let me tell you it could not have been louder then here as all you get staying here are builders rooms were not clean kettle had gunk coming out of the spout when i went to reception to ask for anougther one was met by a very rude lady saying we dont have any more!

The rooms have A/C so no issues with a stuffy room at night and not being able to open the windows due to road noise.

but being on a main road (roundabout) traffic noise was horrendous from about 5.30am onwards.

One morning we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off at 7am.

Unfortunately, I only got 3 hours sleep due to the noise so was disappointed we got a ground floor room and after a 6 5 hour journey to the hotel just needed a good sleep!

Bed uncomfortable very hard had a horrible nights sleep glad I was only here 1 night as I have never woken up so many times in one night and was only given one pillow which was so thin you may as well of not had one at all.

We kept getting woken up every time other rooms flushed their toilets, really load!

but 1 night we were woken up at just after 4 am by loud noises from the room upstairs.

We (3 couples) had an evening meal booked for Friday (actually in Newquay) and our anniversary meal, locally at Two Clomes.

Really nice hotel, nice room and good breakfast and dinner.

We had accommodation, ate in the pub/restaurant  connected, and had breakfast.

This venue proved to be the perfect choice as the food was really good, the staff friendly and so lovely.

We had a family room which was the perfect size for the four of us and had everything we needed.

Air conditioned rooms is a bonus in hot weather.

We had travelled overnight, so the staff also made sure that we had a quiet room to sleep during the day.

After booking a double room at Torquay sea front hotel, we were gutted to find that they had put us in a disability room.

By far the best stay at this handy for visiting Cornwall local attractions, premier inn.

but being understaffed at the moment is not always easy.We didn't have a sofa / sofa bed in the room this time which we did miss staying for 5 days, just a couple of hard chairs.We would return here as a good base for visiting other parts of Cornwall, & not far from Newquay, use the bus stops or the park & ride up the road to go into Newquay though as limited parking there & big queues into town.

We will visit again, we'll done to all staff during these unprecedented times.

We usually choose this premier inn when we are visiting Cornwall because of the central location, restaurant and facilities.

Wish other places we visited while we were in Newquay were half as pleasant

We were very nervous about travelling in lockdown and took various paper proofs of to the nature of our visit.

My partner and i have just returned from a 6 day break visiting family in New quay and stayed in the Quintrell downs hotel.

She really went above and beyond to make sure our visit was a pleasant one.

Hotel easy to find, well placed to visit all family and friends within the area.

although you need to book tables early as it's very popular (our visit was at end of October).

Sam our waitress in the pub area for dinner was very lovely , time for a chat about our visit.

This was our second visit and we had a lovely stay again.

This is definitely a place to visit again and explore more of Cornwall.

I just wanted to say I have went way for a weekend break with my family.to visit Cornwall,
I have stayed 2 nights and I have to say this hotel staff is the best .

Excellent location for visiting Newquay Perranporth Mevagissey and so many beaches to chose from, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family , we even went to Padstow for Rick Steins fish n chip 😝

Ohhh nearly forgot …the Breakfast was perfect as well.

Breakfasts in The Chapel were also excellent. Be sure to find time for the Bodmin Jail Museum Tour (allow about 90 minutes), as it is very well done (no spoilers here!)

The food in the chapel was exquisite for the evening and breakfast.

Breakfast was leisurely and had everything we wanted.

Excellent breakfast, good choice, cooked and also buffet options.

The bedrooms are truly gorgeous with very comfy and clean bedding 

Meal - we bought the dinner, breakfast stay deal and had a wonderful meal in the courtyard restaurant paired with a good selection of breakfast items the next day.

Supper in the Chapel Restaurant which was extremely delicious, excellent flavours and well presented.

The choice at breakfast was designed to suit any tastes, with yogurt, fruit to Cornish breakfast and eggs Benedict to name just a few.

We had breakfast included and a meal in The Courtyard, all food was fresh and tasty, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Food in the Courtyard restaurant was lovely, as was the breakfast.

We had dinner in the chapel restaurant which again was amazing, as well as breakfast also!

My little dog Daisy got so much fuss and attention from the lovely staff,

even though the staff would regularly get barked at they were really kind and attentive, breakfast was great and the sausage for our dog was a nice touch.

We loved the Chapel Dining experience and the champagne bar, the staff were great, food delicious and cocktails perfect.

I got a one night stay with dinner and breakfast as a birthday present.

Out of the two on-site restaurants we only visited the church for dinner and breakfast.

Our room was made of 3 old cells and had plenty of space, A/C, a gorgeous bathroom and very comfortable beds - spotlessly clean and with lovely, crisp linen and fluffy towels. There is an amazing breakfast menu (unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough for me to try everything!!)

We stayed had dinner and breakfast and they did their first ever hen party ghost tour.

The bar man  in the champagne bar made us some delicious cocktails.

Frankley, for what the charge,  I would expect the full breakfast available in both restaurants.

Restaurant had music on at all times, Breakfast and dinner.

As we had our dog with us we ate our evening meal & breakfast in the Jolly Hangman's restaurant & had a room on the ground floor in the Naval wing.

We went to the champagne bar pre meal and the staff were incredibly warming and appeared to love their job, the meal was delicious as was breakfast !

Stayed here went for the package stay dining and breakfast what a great place rooms are great and impressive, food was great and staff are friendly and helpful one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in would definitely recommend and would return for another visit

The room was amazing , the dinner & breakfast fab , the staff throughout the hotel lovely , polite & always smiling.

The hotel it was so quiet Slept every morning till 9 am, the  restaurant was amazing and the Champagne bar was amazing too lovely cocktails and gin’s.

We also visited the Champagne Bar for cocktails prior to dinner, this was a spontaneous decision and we were dressed in a relaxed manner and was worried we would feel out of place, we couldn't have been more wrong.

We had drinks in the Champagne bar two of the nights, cosy bar with excellent barmen ( Matt and Tom) who will concoct virtually any cocktail, great guys who made the evenings that bit more entertaining.

The Champagne Bar has a good selection of cocktails as well as some fine wines, the service can be a little slow as they also serve the Chapel restaurant.

Enjoyed the champagne bar - highly recommend the Paddington cocktail!

The staff are all so nice, especially Matt in the champagne bar, he had us all laughing and is a real asset to the hotel, also makes the best cocktails I’ve ever had!

Champagne Bar was reasonably priced, didn’t visit restaurants.

We had lovely flowers, some very warm chocolates and Prosecco (rather than the champagne stated in the booking)  in water, which would have been ice, waiting for us when we arrived.

I have to give a huge shout out to the Champagne Bar barmen, Tom and Matt - what an asset to the hotel they are!!!

but also a lot of time in training their staff.Could not find a fault with anything on our stay.Food in the Chapel was excellent.It was our anniversary so they threw in some lovely touches,service everywhere was impeccable - Matt in the Champagne bar was a joy (and great at upselling !

We'd booked a meal at the exquisite Chapel Restaurant at 8.45pm so made our way to the champagne bar at around 8.

Without exception, all the staff we dealt with were polite, friendly, efficient and eager to please.

The food was wonderful and the staff were all accommodating- especially our waiter Callum who made lots of great recommendations and was friendly

Of course the staff are exceptionally warm and friendly

Cleaners, front of house and restaurant staff were so polite and friendly.

Very friendly staff  all the staff was very helpful and very nice and dog friendly place .

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, all going above and beyond.

5* dining,  staff were amazing , a very warm and friendly welcome , one would never of known that the staff were under  so much pressure in these unprecedented times of hospatility staff shortages.

however Bodmin jail is so so friendly, our pooch was truly spoilt.

The 2 cocktail waiters created a warm, welcome and friendly environment, suggesting off menu cocktails and really going above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening.
