We had breakfast each of our 3 mornings, a combination of continental, cereals or cooked and an evening meal in the Hotel for the Sunday.

I would like to commend Cathy the breakfast host in her excellent service and cheery welcome such a lovely lady .

Really nice hotel, nice room and good breakfast and dinner.

We had accommodation, ate in the pub/restaurant  connected, and had breakfast.

We made this our main summer holiday destination this year due to the chaos at the airports, and, we made the right decision to stay at Premier Inn,  quintrell downs, just over 2 miles from Newquay,  on the bus route, choice of 3 buses, and train station, couple of nearby village pubs, and the hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable, restaurant/pub, lovely food and drinks, free car parking, perfect ingredients for a lovely stay, especially as the sun shone the whole time

English Breakfast is to order rather than buffet so is hot when it arrives.

Breakfast was fresh and it was cooked seperate from all the meat.

but she said we could have a free breakfast.

but their breakfast was freshly cooked which was a fabulous surprise.

Had breakfast every day which was good and ate in restaurant on two evenings .

Car parking is free which is good as a lot of premier inn charge for this.

The Inn was very quiet despite how many cars where outside I don't think we saw or heard anorher person, good facilities in the room and the large bath was great!

Parking easy and safe  the hotel is situated just in the right place for a visit into car wall and surrounding area.

but sometimes the meals are not as good as others  showers are really good power shower beds really clean hotal really clean and easy to check in and a good size car park overall stay very good

The evening meal took 2 1/2 hours due to excessive waits between courses.

We were unable to get an evening meal at the adjoining restaurant due to no staff, so went elsewhere.

though there was a shortage of food items due to lorries not being able to get through with stock.

The hotel urgently needs a refurbishment and the poor staff are run ragged due to shortages.

The rooms have A/C so no issues with a stuffy room at night and not being able to open the windows due to road noise.

Had to move room half way through due to leaking toilet waste water !!

Room wasn't ready until after 4pm due to hotel being full as August holiday season.

The whole thing reminded me of the Little Britain sketch of “Computer said No” 
I was told to call guest relations if not happy who didn't answer due to volume of calls and to email it in and they will get back to me in 28 days.

Unfortunately, I only got 3 hours sleep due to the noise so was disappointed we got a ground floor room and after a 6 5 hour journey to the hotel just needed a good sleep!

but it wasn't due to covid and was just one plate served to your table  which took so long the wait made you feel asking for anything extra would not be practical anyway, so paid £17.98 for two very standard breakfasts

but probably due to all the restrictions in place.

even though they were very busy due to staff shortage.

but this was unfortunately cancelled at the last minute due to the Covid-19 debacle.

but due to it always taking us 34444 hours to get home, we left early.

So we stayed at the premier inn for 4 nights, the hotel was great, no problems at all, the table table next to it was very different to normal due to Covid and I felt very sorry for the few staff they had working.

The breakfast which normally is self service was waiter service at allocated table, to which was a lot better due to less mess, wastage & queueing.

We did not try breakfast due to dinner experience.

but due to traffic it can take anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes to get there.

We went to Fistral beach, lands end, st Ives, mousehole, Eden project, Bedruthan steps from here.

Great location for Newquay - a ten minute or so drive to Fistral beach.

Had a really nice 2 night stay when attending the Boardmasters Festival, Convenient for Fistral Beach and Watergate bay.

Close enough for a couple of miles drive to Fistral Beach, and vey near the A30.

Stayed here a few times and never disappointed, check in quick and easy, communal areas very clean, the room was immaculate and there was a little treat left in there for us too, will continue to use this lovely hotel everytime I come here to visit my family.

What can I say just a brilliant stay again we stay at this hotel every year staff friendly while being professional rooms allways spotless food allways good location is fantastic for visiting various places

By far the best stay at this handy for visiting Cornwall local attractions, premier inn.

but being understaffed at the moment is not always easy.We didn't have a sofa / sofa bed in the room this time which we did miss staying for 5 days, just a couple of hard chairs.We would return here as a good base for visiting other parts of Cornwall, & not far from Newquay, use the bus stops or the park & ride up the road to go into Newquay though as limited parking there & big queues into town.

We will visit again, we'll done to all staff during these unprecedented times.

We usually choose this premier inn when we are visiting Cornwall because of the central location, restaurant and facilities.

Wish other places we visited while we were in Newquay were half as pleasant

We were very nervous about travelling in lockdown and took various paper proofs of to the nature of our visit.

My partner and i have just returned from a 6 day break visiting family in New quay and stayed in the Quintrell downs hotel.

She really went above and beyond to make sure our visit was a pleasant one.

Hotel easy to find, well placed to visit all family and friends within the area.

although you need to book tables early as it's very popular (our visit was at end of October).

Sam our waitress in the pub area for dinner was very lovely , time for a chat about our visit.

This was our second visit and we had a lovely stay again.

This is definitely a place to visit again and explore more of Cornwall.

I just wanted to say I have went way for a weekend break with my family.to visit Cornwall,
I have stayed 2 nights and I have to say this hotel staff is the best .

Excellent location for visiting Newquay Perranporth Mevagissey and so many beaches to chose from, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family , we even went to Padstow for Rick Steins fish n chip 😝

We had to have the window open as it was warm and so the noise of the traffic was a bit of a bother.

So either have the window open with traffic noise or sweat all night.

About time Whitbread got blackout blinds Instead of curtains that lets the light In.

but………We were given a really big room with one major issue…the window did not shut so we were kept awake all night with the wind whistling through the secondary glazing.

but with windows closed no traffic noise at all.

Although hotel is on busy road, there is air con so you don't have to have windows open at night.

The window was open and the air con was as low as possible.

By 2.00 am I had to open double glazing to access part opening window and part open curtains for air.

As with many Premier Inns, it needs windows which open rather than minimal opening.

but would avoid the rooms with the frosted windows next time.

Receptionist just said they had closed the window, which seemed to indicated I didn't know how to.

The windows are extra double glazed which was good for keeping out the noise from the island and also could be used as a small fridge in the winter lol.

This room was on the ground floor, second door from reception, right next to the lift and the stairwell and the window was looking out to smokers corner.

The rooms we stayed in fell below expectations on the bed and shower, the a/c unit was loud and because the window didn't open(229), it was on constantly overnight.

Heating and aircon in the rooms are independently controlled, windows have restrictors on them.

The room we had was very quiet, couldn't hear a thing the only downside was that we couldn't see out of the window!!

Rooms very clean, noisy on roadside if you want a window open.

this is a great place from which to explore central Cornwall, north or south coast.

The location was great for Bodmin Moor, the coast and Lost Gardens of Heligan.

It was a good place to be based for our trips to Eden Project and also the Lost Gardens of Heligan and a few small quiet great beaches.

We stayed for 5 nights and chose here because it's only 30 mins to either coast, it was perfect for where we wanted to visit.

St Benet's Abbey and Lanivet are both well placed to visit the north and south coast of Cornwall.

We stayed a night on way to St Agnes on coast.

We spent three weeks in England as a trip of a lifetime 30th anniversary present to ourselves and originally part of the agenda was to spend a day in Tintagel along the magnificent South Coast trail.

The St Benet's is ideally placed for seeing Cornwall's north and south coast and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone wishing to visit Cornwall.

Access to north and south coasts is very easy from here which increases your options of places to visit without taking very much time.

Stayed 3 nights, with friends and would do so again as the location is perfect for visiting both the north and south Cornish coast.

The Abbey is well located for day trips along the north and south coast, and very close to the Eden Project.

but is a short 40 - 50 minute drive away to both west and south cities on the coast.

The location is ideal for both coasts and several of the other guests were walking the Saints Way.

We stayed for two nights and on the second night enjoyed way too many drinks in the lounge/ bar area that DJ personally served us (I do apologise for the presumably stumbiling conversation to the couple who were trekking along the coastline and the adult family who were staying at the Abbey on behalf of work).

It is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Lanivet which is equi-distant from each coast.

Very good location for north or south coasts, Eden Project, Lanhydrock House etc. Good pub food and fish&chip restaurant in the nearby village (a dark walk back tho')

Nestled in central Cornwall and within easy driving distance of gorgeous coastal beaches and spectacular countryside, this delightful B & B made our stay in Cornwall just about perfect.

From there we were able to take day trips to the various attractions and the coast.

Breakfast was good and the location is within easy reach of many of Cornwall's finest resorts and beaches.

An ideal base from which to cover both north and south Cornwall with many villages, beaches and attractions only a short drive away.

Jenny and her staff are warm and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts ideal before a full day of Cornish tourism.

The breakfast was delicious with granola & fruit juice to start then I had smoked haddock with scrambled egg followed by toast & coffee served in a lovely dining room.

We were greeted by our lovely friendly host Jenny, and felt thoroughly spoilt by the comfortable rooms and wonderful vegetarian breakfasts.

In the morning had a full English breakfast which was delicious and nothing was to much trouble.

The breakfast was very fresh, generous with a decent selection.

A fresh breakfast is made every morning and you can choose the time you wish it made for.

Very clean, rooms are serviced every day and a lovely breakfast, always served with a smile by Jenny and her staff.

She made an effort to learn our names and greeted us every morning at breakfast.

but we hadn't even put our bags on the reception floor before we were asked to make our breakfast choices for the morning.

I will definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends and have not stopped talking about it to loved ones.

Breakfast, from a selection beyond the expectations of a B&B was pre-ordered from the previous evening and was delivered with precision, quantity and quality.

We stay for 5 nights in August the people were very welcoming and friendly we had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning the room were clean and had a lovely atmosphere would go there again.

The breakfasts were lovely, and there was a choice of smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs, or full English.

Breakfast each morning is individually prepared and there is good Covid 19 compliance.

Just stayed at the Abbey for 3 nights and would certainly revisit,it's clean ,cosy the breakfast was very good,served by a smileing waitress.Jenny and her husband really make you welcome it is worth a stay.the village is a 4 min walk and has an excellent pub.St Benets Abbey is well positioned for exploring Cornwall and it's attractions.

The breakfast was fantastic, you pick a time you want it, top quality produce.

Great food for breakfast and B& B is walking distance to the pub in Lanivet for evening food.

instead of charging the cancellation fee they'd be fully entitled to.

There was no sensitivity or  sympathy at all and when I  was charged full price for the missed night - no discount was offered even for uneaten breakfasts - nothing - and when I commented upon this lack of concern - I was told 'business is business'!

but then had to go away on business, which left JJ in charge of the B&B and also in charge of Faith, their absolutely adorable little girl.

The only thing we weren't quite in agreement with was in the literature in our room, we could only consume alcohol that was bought from them and if we had our own, we would be charged a corking fee of £4.

My debit card payment had gone through, no problems and the lady on the end of the phone, was incredibly rude and told me she did not know what I wanted her to do about it and promptly put the phone down on me!!

but possibly a little dark, bed was very very comfortable.

That's where it ends I am afraid-room dark and shabby, mould all on bathroom ceiling, skirting rotting in bathroom.

We had to go into the bar where it was dark and also occupied by a very amorous foreign couple which was not ideal.

however the door to the bathroom was a cheap kind which you get in student housing and the bathroom was wall to wall imitation dark brown marble which was very dark and unappealing.

although the dark decor in the bathroom was a little off putting.

Just make sure you have a torch if walking back after dark, as the area is unlit.

This hotel has lots of character, think chintz, floral, dark wood and local stone.

though the property is sited on a main road it is set back and we were not disturbed by noise at all.

There was ample storage space and whilst the main road runs outside, and this is very busy, the building was well soundproofed and there was no noise at night.

We stayed in room 5 which was at the back so quiet,view of tower which is undergoing works so obscured by scaffolding which was a shame.

The Abbey is in a small quiet village and has a nice pub with great atmosphere and staff.

We had a large quiet room with a nice shower and separate tub.

Pretty surroundings and enjoyed the sound of the close rippling stream.

Really quiet and nice view over the rear garden and the original Abbey ruins.

The bed was comfortable and it was lovely and quiet at night, we slept very well.

What a wonderful old building, so caringly restored, and in a superb location on the outskirts of the village.Our room(Room 4) was lovely, had everything we needed and, most importantly for me, was very quiet!!

Our room was on the main floor at the back, it was very quiet.

The details in the architecture are exquisite, the grounds are stunning and the rooms are extremely charming, quiet and beautifully furnished.

A lovely overnight stay if you want somewhere quiet near the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden Project.

The location is excellent being just 2 minutes from the A30 yet the setting is quiet with beautiful woodland behind.

Extremely lovely place to stay, , very handy for touring this area of cornwall,ease of access to main link roads, yet in a quiet by road, excellent parking, free wi-fi, good housekeeping, good food and cosy, well-fitted rooms.

Although located next to a road, we heard no noise at all and we would 100% stay here again if we were down that area.

On a trip looking at several hotels in Cornwall this was THE BEST BREAKFAST I enjoyed.

His best advice in terms of rental car, which we will take on our next trip to Cornwall, is Enterprise Rent a Car.

Just returned from a quick trip down to see friends and family.

The whole trip was lovely and the comfort of knowing we were returning each night to a warm, welcoming and safe base made it all the more relaxing.

St Benet's is a lovely property near to Bodmin Cornwall, and for us a stop for a night on the way home from a road trip.

We stayed 3 nights and took daily trips to various points of interest in Cornwall such as Port Isaac, Penzance, St. Ives, Tintangel, tin minesetc, It was a perfect location for us.

This was a pleasant surprise for our quick trip around Cornwall.

We had decided to stay in the Bodmin area for a few days and take day trips out to some of the Cornwall attractions and the Abbey is well and centrally situated for such a plan.

We will definitely be back on our next trip to Cornwall! !

My girlfriend organised a fantastic trip to Cornwall, and this was our first stop.

Before our arrival to St Benet's Abbey, my Fiancé and I had avidily searched Trip Advisor to get a first impression of what our stay would be like.

We are already planning a trip back so that we can enjoy it for a few nights and visit some of the many local attractions (Eden Project and Bodmin Steam Railway to name two).

The location is very central in Cornwall and makes a great base for day trips or walking.

We chose this hotel when visiting a sick friend in Cornwall purely on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews and were certainly not disappointed.

We had a dilemma with transport at all ends for our one way (Cycle, Foot & Kayak) trip.

The room was ok decent bed quirky shower over bath.

We stopped on a bargain break with Dinner Bed and Breakfast and thought it was really good value for money.

We had the Rock room in the cottage which was a reasonable size,  comfortable bed and en-suite.

I Put a huge sleeping bag on the bed took a painkiller for the siatica i had for most of the long drive and tried to rest.

Very comfy bed and large clean room, if not immaculate.

We were quite happy to bring our own dog bed and eating bowls and there were good walks around hotel to exercise her.

Our room was described as a 'superior, king, double'.

Although our room was at the front of the hotel the main road didn’t bother us, a lovely room with a very comfy bed good quality towels and linen .

We were on a Cornish break which comprises three course dinner with a bottle of wine, bed and breakfast for £75 per person per night.

What a find! Hubby and I stayed in the Court Suite and it is beautiful with lots of small details which made the room perfect (a small nightlight to highlight the step down from the bed into the lounge area saved me both nights!!)

Of course a slightly bigger room, a firmer bed and a more powerful shower, would have been a bonus,

Booked a 3 night Cornish break dinner,bed & breakfast all were excellent and

The local Asda donated £800 worth of bedding to take to the local college so stranded students had some warmth for the night.

but this time our room had lofty ceilings and bed more than big enough and comfy enough to contain me.

Excellent room and really comfortable bed.
