Unfortunately our room did have mould on the roof which is presumably due to how cold it gets in the winter.

It was so damn cold at night that I was literally freezing and got sick.

there is no heating so in the cold months the rooms are absolutely freezing.

Things to be noted: in Winter it gets cold and the blanket isn't too thick.

but when we asked to book one to take us to Haridwar the receptionist said it was not possible.

We asked why didn’t you disclose the cafe is under renovation and the hostel is in such situation they didn’t have any answer.

Only 4 stars because I asked to stay an extra night which was agreed and then the next day they kicked us out saying they were full and had forgotten about me asking:(

Other than that, it would have been 5 stars!

Clean room, Cool common area, Hot shower is able to whenever and toilet paper, water, whatever you need, they gave it at all.

all of this combined, we only spent time in the hostel when we absolutely needed to- to sleep, and even then we were mostly unsuccessful.

Even in that night you already made me go to sleep with a little smile and with little less fear.

One time i forgot to eat and i couldnt sleep so i go the reseption and all the hostel team ate so they give me from their food and we ate together.

Rooms were very clean, cooperative staff plus amazing dining area , garden area was also good nd i loved their pool area too.

The rooms were clean and spacious with all facilities working adequately.. l i would like to specially mention the staff which was cordial and very customer friendly.. Service was top notch and the fooding awesome.. worth every penny.. A total relaxing, rejuvenating and luxury experience..

i think asking for something agreed on phone in writing is completely fair.

All during our stay the wifi and mobile network all thru the stay in every part of the property was pathetic and it's real hard to get anything done while there.

We repeatedly asked him to call someone from the resort to at least talk to us

On both occasions, there were last minute phone calls asking me if I mind if the massage is provided by a person of the opposite gender.

We used to get ‘our kind of  tea’ and a wake up call every morning.

Everything was excellent - the welcome, the meals, the program, the high tea, the housekeeping, the goodbye

If I had to call out one highlight - it would have to be the Vedanta sessions.

I want permanent wake up calls with Lemon and Ginger tea!

Not even an apology or willing to work with me on the rate -- and insult to injury when I went back to the website today to check on my phone their published rate was 10% lower than what I had booked the day before.

Then we suddenly got a call one  afternoon for a change in the Spa treatment timings from one Dharmesh.

I immediately called the doctor on call (who I had had an Ayurvedic consult with earlier in the day) and asked for an antibiotic (thank God I had the good sense having sold antibiotics previously) because I spent the next 7 hours on the toilet urinating blood clots; a hospital was necessary,

Again I had to call to the reception to ask them to call the guide who was with them to ask him to find my friend.

They have a phone to call for the cart (if it is raining etc) several times we would call and wait for over 20min.

Just a little miss, the first time they forgot to call back and do the bookings,

The only bothering thing was, that I had to call a couple of days to get a new set of "pyjamas" and I also got them 4 times in in the wrong size.

Repeated queries were unanswered,only after a spate of complaints were we given good service,

This was a week ago and I am still sick; going to call my doctor tomorrow.

Was then asked to come out of my car and speak on security phone to the hotel.

Small tip :try to visit post august till march since its a bit of a rainy season and also book the villa which has a  private pool (though more expensive).

the clientele has become bling bling,  speaking loud and clear, far from the tranquility of yesteryear, significant price difference for Indian Residents and Foreigners, room prices and packages still on the rise with significant taxes.

Although expensive we needed the break after being in the house for six months.

The rates are unbelievable, particularly aimed at naive travelers who don't know any better.

Indeed super place .. n as said earlier  this spiritual experience comes with a price tag not all can afford

There is no price for the ability to achieve this feeling.

I personally had put aside the plan for several weeks due to the price.

Our goals were simply to relax and rejuvenate, and take the time to pay conscious attention to various facets of our health.

I must share this, my friend had to leave one day early due to a family emergency and the resort did not charge for the room!

Its reviews like these which make you wonder on how to rate a property more than 5 on Tripadvisor’s rating scale.

Only if the rooms were a little bigger for the price we pay it would be great.

Most people who I’ve discussed Ananda with bring up the cost factor.

We were planning from many days to visit this place,it’s too much expensive,as per the money we paid,nothing special experience,massages r almost more thn 10000 +& it was really v bad experience,we complained

Though a little expensive DON'T MISS THIS PLACE.

Hence, high  cost of the experience needs to evaluated against  lasting benefits  before committing yourself.

Discreet and attentive staff, well-appointed Rooms, excellent food, a lovely Spa & fitness centre, very good yoga & meditation trainers, a great pool, relaxing gardens and a delightful afternoon tea!

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. I recommend that you take a package that includes breakfast and dinner - you won't regret it (although you might put on a few extra kilos if you are not careful!)

The room was spotlessly clean with tasteful decor with a fabulous view of the mountains, and the ganges river flowing through Rishikesh.

Service staff is pathetic and rude the stand always like quiet people and never help you out, the food is so ugly and the receptionist is also not handling the guests well.

The service was perhaps the worst I have ever experienced at a hostel.

Theres a common self service cafeteria serving only ready to cook items in the menu like maggi and coffee etc.

I was visited gostops Rishikesh laxman jula, service was too poor & room was not clean, they was many stains on bed and wall & not proper lighting in the room.

Extremely poor services, they have no backup plan in place since past 5 days.

It is located on a on a one way road, so if you come from the other side using Google maps you have to walk 500 mts on a uphill road

Approach toward the hotel is worst , car 🚗 can't come u need walk & upward steep.

even for a cup of tea, you will have to walk and climb up again.

The only downside for us was the noise from the nearby construction of a Hyatt hotel.

We had a small issue in reaching the resort as the road construction work for G20 was scheduled, maybe it should be shorted soon.

I have stayed in The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas for 4N, we had a small hiccup for approx 30 mins in reaching the resort as the construction work for G20 delegate meeting scheduled is being done there.

The road to the property is under construction right now which made it even more adventurous lol.

Very narrow with lots of ongoing construction.

Even after having the best views one can be attacked by monkeys sitting in your own balcony, Noise pollution of construction  around disturbs your mind and complete mood, 
Smell from the sevage around the HEAVENS lounge is something not to forget ever.

Shubham and Sonu from the house keeping team ensure our room was clean and well done throughout our stay.

Rooms are very neat and luxurious; they have a beautiful bathroom with a very nice small wardrobe room inside which helped us to keep all our luggage at one place.

Thank you to the housekeeping team who kept our room clean and tidy.

Specially thanks to Chef  Sohum and Ms Sheetal who took extra efforts to serve us delicious food and fulfilling needs of our child .Room service kept the room very clean and there service was very prompt .
