The food at Ananda is fresh, flavourful and healthy.

Ananda, with its calming ambience, helpful staff, healthy cuisine, world-class spa is surreal.

They were able to tell us the preparation, ingredients, and even gave us wonderful suggestions for food combos and dish modifications.

The service is incredible, the scenery beautiful, the food delicious, the bodywork fantastic, and I have had time for self reflection and learning.

Tip: one needs almost no own clothes, each guest gets daily a fresh and lovely "kurta" (kind of payamas) which one can wear not only at the breakfast, yoga etc

i think asking for something agreed on phone in writing is completely fair.

All during our stay the wifi and mobile network all thru the stay in every part of the property was pathetic and it's real hard to get anything done while there.

We repeatedly asked him to call someone from the resort to at least talk to us

On both occasions, there were last minute phone calls asking me if I mind if the massage is provided by a person of the opposite gender.

We used to get ‘our kind of  tea’ and a wake up call every morning.

Everything was excellent - the welcome, the meals, the program, the high tea, the housekeeping, the goodbye

If I had to call out one highlight - it would have to be the Vedanta sessions.

I want permanent wake up calls with Lemon and Ginger tea!

Not even an apology or willing to work with me on the rate -- and insult to injury when I went back to the website today to check on my phone their published rate was 10% lower than what I had booked the day before.

Then we suddenly got a call one  afternoon for a change in the Spa treatment timings from one Dharmesh.

I immediately called the doctor on call (who I had had an Ayurvedic consult with earlier in the day) and asked for an antibiotic (thank God I had the good sense having sold antibiotics previously) because I spent the next 7 hours on the toilet urinating blood clots; a hospital was necessary,

Again I had to call to the reception to ask them to call the guide who was with them to ask him to find my friend.

They have a phone to call for the cart (if it is raining etc) several times we would call and wait for over 20min.

Just a little miss, the first time they forgot to call back and do the bookings,

The only bothering thing was, that I had to call a couple of days to get a new set of "pyjamas" and I also got them 4 times in in the wrong size.

Repeated queries were unanswered,only after a spate of complaints were we given good service,

This was a week ago and I am still sick; going to call my doctor tomorrow.

Was then asked to come out of my car and speak on security phone to the hotel.

Small tip :try to visit post august till march since its a bit of a rainy season and also book the villa which has a  private pool (though more expensive).

the clientele has become bling bling,  speaking loud and clear, far from the tranquility of yesteryear, significant price difference for Indian Residents and Foreigners, room prices and packages still on the rise with significant taxes.

Although expensive we needed the break after being in the house for six months.

The rates are unbelievable, particularly aimed at naive travelers who don't know any better.

Indeed super place .. n as said earlier  this spiritual experience comes with a price tag not all can afford

There is no price for the ability to achieve this feeling.

I personally had put aside the plan for several weeks due to the price.

Our goals were simply to relax and rejuvenate, and take the time to pay conscious attention to various facets of our health.

I must share this, my friend had to leave one day early due to a family emergency and the resort did not charge for the room!

Its reviews like these which make you wonder on how to rate a property more than 5 on Tripadvisor’s rating scale.

Only if the rooms were a little bigger for the price we pay it would be great.

Most people who I’ve discussed Ananda with bring up the cost factor.

We were planning from many days to visit this place,it’s too much expensive,as per the money we paid,nothing special experience,massages r almost more thn 10000 +& it was really v bad experience,we complained

Though a little expensive DON'T MISS THIS PLACE.

Hence, high  cost of the experience needs to evaluated against  lasting benefits  before committing yourself.

Shija at the restaurant was very prompt and ensure we had everything needed during breakfast and other meals we had during the day.

Breakfast was stupendous and very well catered.

Chef Sam was a star who prepped some really yummy vegan and gluten free desserts for us multiple times during our stay.

The morning breakfast at Akasa is very elaborate and we also enjoyed special Trout fish  lunch  arranged so kindly by the chef -Pankaj & Ashish 
We also booked a Morning bird watching trek to Kunjapuri temple with the friendly Rohit as guide and enjoyed both the exhilarating morning hill air and also saw quite  a few birds to satisfy the birder in us .

The exec chef Mr.Pankaj made sure we got some tasty Jain food as well be it during breakfast lunch or dinner.

We had recently visited the westin Himalayas and it's an amazing trip,Resort is outstanding in other words ,hidden gems in mountain,Resort have excellent view of valley and infinite pool.Excellent facilities in resort.Resort staff are very cooperative and alway stand on the toe to serve you.Mr Sachin from recreation and Naveen ,Pallavi during breakfast serve us with smile .Thanks to Westin team make our holiday memorable.

The restaurant is a must go to for dinner, the food is delicious and very beautiful view of the rishikesh city from the outdoor sitting…

The only downside for us was the noise from the nearby construction of a Hyatt hotel.

We had a small issue in reaching the resort as the road construction work for G20 was scheduled, maybe it should be shorted soon.

I have stayed in The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas for 4N, we had a small hiccup for approx 30 mins in reaching the resort as the construction work for G20 delegate meeting scheduled is being done there.

The road to the property is under construction right now which made it even more adventurous lol.

Even after having the best views one can be attacked by monkeys sitting in your own balcony, Noise pollution of construction  around disturbs your mind and complete mood, 
Smell from the sevage around the HEAVENS lounge is something not to forget ever.

That was an awesome get-together with all our friends at a beautiful place with delicious snacks & dinner, children enjoyed swimming in big Pool.

On last weekend we went to this resort and when we entered,staff members welcomed us with open heart and chandan tilak.The vibes were super awsm ..we went into the room and believe me it was like entering into the heaven and finally we freshed up and went for the snacks and they arranged music and snacks for us which was delicious and dinner was also very good and in the morning we did swimming and finally we also enjoyed our private pool.

Nice ambience with full best class service in neeraj forest resort, we are very enjoyed our stay with private pool rooms, resturant service is very good food is delicious, best part is swimming pool, they have recreation rooms with good facilities.

It's worth eating there for breakfast and dinner when you can because it's well priced and really yummy food, please try the chef Mohan's signature pancake, the best pancake I've ever eaten holy cow.

Personal is so sweet and friendly- everybody here :) food is crazy tasty (thank you amazing chef mohan), even when I wasnt feeling good they took care about me- thank you Ashish for healthy drinks :) we celebratednand enjoyed Diwali and was great experience - we will remember forever!

Stayed for 5 days amazing experience.made some good friends.there are people from every part of the world ,travelers.they can arrange everything from the hostel,bike rental ,rafting ect.it is situated on main Street in laxman jhula,great cafe on rooftop serve delicious food in the town amazing view.

The view this place provide is next to perfect alongwith the food especially EGGLESS PANCAKES on my special request by thr head cook mohan.

Its cleanness, its comfort, its visibility, the delicious food you serve, the attractions you offer like free yoga classes, nature walks, dance parties, bonfire evenings, gams and much more.

I came to Skyard from recomendations from friends, the place is really great - the rooms are well maintained, the staff is very helpful and fun to just talk to, theres a cafe on the roof with the best nutella pancake!

The restaurant has a big menu with everything on it, also healthy and clean food, what was very important for me.

and the food served here is also delicious.

Unfortunately our room did have mould on the roof which is presumably due to how cold it gets in the winter.

It was so damn cold at night that I was literally freezing and got sick.

there is no heating so in the cold months the rooms are absolutely freezing.

Things to be noted: in Winter it gets cold and the blanket isn't too thick.

but when we asked to book one to take us to Haridwar the receptionist said it was not possible.

We asked why didn’t you disclose the cafe is under renovation and the hostel is in such situation they didn’t have any answer.

Only 4 stars because I asked to stay an extra night which was agreed and then the next day they kicked us out saying they were full and had forgotten about me asking:(

Other than that, it would have been 5 stars!

Wajid woke up at 5 am to help me get a cab to the airport.

There are beds in the work place so they can sleep

all of this combined, we only spent time in the hostel when we absolutely needed to- to sleep, and even then we were mostly unsuccessful.

Even in that night you already made me go to sleep with a little smile and with little less fear.

One time i forgot to eat and i couldnt sleep so i go the reseption and all the hostel team ate so they give me from their food and we ate together.
