The choice of omelette iwas given if you do not want the breakfast of the day which was nice because we did use the substituion one time.

Breakfast area was very comfortable and served nicely.

The breakfast was delicious and the team was very accommodating when we requested a to-go meal before we headed out early one morning for a day trip.

To add insult to injury, after we were so disgusted by the first room offered and allowed to change, we discovered post-check out that we were being charged a $40 sanitizing fee for the first room because a couple of items had been moved after we entered. Sanitized?

When I reviewed my statement upon checking out, I saw the extra night was billed at $451.

and we couldn't charge our devices very well.

It would have been nice to have a printed card with the available options.

Do yourself a favor and book a room with the view of the rocks, it's definitely worth the little extra $ they charge for it.

They informed me that if they were able to resell the week they wouldn't charge me the full stay and they would let me know.

For the amount of money are are charging.

This morning we go to check out, and I notice on the receipt that we had been charged more than the 20% we were told.

Fast wi-fi with no login at no extra charge.

but she offered to take my card and then bring it back.

My credit card number was given to a third party WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and we were subsequently charged an extortionate amount for a jeep ride, significantly above what we were promised -- and clearly the hotel owners were in for a nice cut as I was constantly passed back to them when I questioned both that my credit card had been charged without my permission and that the amount was incorrect.

Had some issues with check out and billing.

We were greeted with an envelope obviously hoping to get a tip rather than the usual card (at this price, pay your staff, don't expect me to).

Also, we were not told about parking costs and wasted a lot of time turning around to find a bank since the park did not take credit or debit cards.

The hosts are warm and welcoming and the grounds are lush with interesting, tasteful art sprinkled all around.

The grounds themselves were like an oasis, with a running creek, firepit (for those cold nights) and many art works.

but the rooms, the grounds, and the view are worth it.

The beds were very nice, and the grounds are impeccable and beautiful.

The grounds and amenities are perfect and beautiful- the breakfast always tastes great; I never miss it because I never know what it will be, and it’s always wonderful.

The breakfast served each day is top notch and we love hanging out at the fire pit or on the patio almost anytime of day.

When we checked in, we were given a map of the grounds and told about the pool , jacuzzi and firepits on the patio.

We were disappointed in the view from the balcony that had a rather large tree blocking a good bit of the magnificent red rock views.

I truly loved my stay there & will most defintely return to this phenomenal hidden Gem among this red rock city called Sedona.

They're off the main roads, which is rare in Sedona and the rooms all have the red rocks view of your dreams.

Great location with a wonderful view of Thunder Mountain and Coffee Pot Rock.

This is truly a slice of heaven with views of the red rocks that will take your breath away.

It was a wide trail with some shade and beautiful surroundings of coffee pot rock and follow it around the Thunder Mountain loop for a hood 4 mile hike or so.

It is well worth the cost and is in the perfect location to enjoy the beautiful red rock formations and access other points of interest.

Everything in the room was very accommodating, from the kitchen down to the fluffy robes provided.

Both rooms were stunning: decor, size, views.

The rooms were also very comfortable, everything you need for a short stay.

The room was great, the staff was incredible as well as the views  The location is near all the good restaurants and shopping areas.

The rooms were five star quality, spacious, and quiet.

The room had one of the best views off the front “porch” than can be appreciated just from looking at photos.

We stayed here for my father’s birthday and the room exceeded my expectations.

He engaged in 30+ minute-long protracted conversations with the same set of diners on two different mornings.

Our all time favorite hike was Sugarloaf.

The view as you looked out front window and front door are spectacular.

Stayed 3 nights in this very secluded and quiet, clean resort with a perfect view of Sedona mountains.

The terrace outside the dining area has a gorgeous view of the mountains (Chateau is in an elevated location to give unabated views of the mountains).

That will be all you need for a day or a week of pure relaxation and enjoyment while you bask in the majestic views of Sedona.

Terrific view from the balcony which was furnished with comfortable lounge chairs and a high-top table and chairs, perfect for wine and cheese.

The room was supposed to be a "motel" unit,

I can only speak for the motel rooms here:  the rooms are small, one window with a ceiling fan and no air conditioning.

No a/c, so we had to keep the filthy windows open to get any air and there was enough space around the screen windows to let insects in.

There is no air conditioner, no fans, nothing to move the stale air.

The fridge (no freezer) is anemic, expect cooling not cold.

No A/C made for warm sleeping in mid July.

They really dance when the ceiling fan is on.

Small fridge, small closet-type space, small table, small bathroom, small AC.

They did bring fresh towels when we asked and the hair dryer blew up and they brought us another one.

Since there was no air conditioning, our windows were open so we could hear everything from the cabins around us - crying children, conversations, laughter.

I guess the adjoining cabin uses same heater and there was no hot water for my shower.

The only word for the bathroom floor is filthy, even having used soap disc on the floor.

No soap or shampoo in the dispensers and 1/2 roll of toilet paper.

No tissues in the dispenser, and only 1 keurig coffee for the 2 of us.

They had run out of liquid soap & Kleenex, and only a thin blanket on each bed was not enough warmth for fall.

Very dated, dirty, no lighting, and the bathroom is incredibly small / filthy / nonfunctional.

We lowered expectations based on other TA, when we entered Cabin 510 we said WOW,  place looked great see pics, completely CLEAN,  no sign of mice,  bathroom clean even front porch with rocking chairs looked like they were wiped down plus we had great view of canyon.

It is clear that Aramark has made some more recent updates to the rooms such as new paint and new tiles in the bathrooms,

I'm not going to mention the tiny bathroom because it all seems insignificant next to the fact that we had at least one mouse, and mice can carry Hantavirus and Plague.

The shower is small and in the corner and the toilet area is almost impossibly small.

I’m about 270lbs and only just fit my shoulders in the toilet nook as it’s so narrow.

Called reception who sent out someone who explained it was monsoon season and as roof not maintained there was a leak!

Bugs in tub, broken faucet popped off the wall when i went to wash the bugs down the drain.

We were expecting the amenities to be limited, as typical for remote locations like this and Havasupai Lodge for example.

You stay in old log cabins with very few amenities:  no wifi, no tv, mostly no cell signal and worst of all the hot water either did not work or took 5 minutes of running to get.

We walked out to Bright Angel Point each morning to see the sunrise.

There is one walk from the lodge that is paved, Bright Angel Point.

And best for last: Fantastic views of the Grand Canyon and particularly the Bright Angel Fault from the veranda at the Lodge, and similarly impressive views from Bright Angel Point which is very close to the Lodge.

but are very well situated (we stayed in 310 awhile back); 304 is indeed on the rim, but also adjacent to the often noisy East Terrace of the Lodge; 307 is fine, but rather exposed to gawkers headed to/from Bright Angel Point; 305/306 have super unobstructed views and imho are the most desirable in the park.

I watched the sunrise before going back to the lodge and doing the short walk to Bright Angel Point.

What a way to enjoy a glass of beer/wine or a cocktail sitting in a big chair as the sun goes down, and if you are up for an unforgettable sunrise, Bright Angel Point is less than 20 minutes down a  trail that begins at the lodge.

The view from the front porch was  very nice and it was just a short walk to the lodge and the Bright Angel Point trail.

On the plus side, apart from the spectacular views from the Lodge, there are a couple of nice walks from the Lodge to Bright Angel Point and the Transept.

From our porch with the amazing and gorgeous view, I eavesdropped on several elderly, obese or inappropriately attired people as they walked down the Bright Angel Point trail complaining about the lack of amenities.

The Bright Angel Point Trail begins from here, also.

Built in 1928 by architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the Lodge is constructed of timber and Kaibab limestone that makes up the cliff at Bright Angel Point.

Rockers on Lodge Patio or stiff hike down to Bright Angel Point for Sunrise or Sunset.

Nested right at the edge of the North Rim, right next to Bright Angel Point, the Lodge offers a lodging experince of other times

It only took us a few minutes to walk out to Bright Angel Point and we could be in the main lodge building within seconds.

And the view at Bright Angel Point was just fantastic, all day long, from sunrise to sunset.

Cabins are closer than the motel rooms to Bright Angel Point a short hike to view the planet from on top.

Now, the key bit: perfect access to rimside walks, some very easy in terms of distances, like the Bright Angel Point trail.

We were short walk from the lodge, the lodge terrace, and Bright Angel Point.

You are steps away from Bright Angel Point and the Transept Trail, from which we had spectacular views at sunrise and sunset.

And for those wondering about phone connectivity, I could get 1-2 bars via Verizon on most of the grounds, and nearly four bars out at Bright Angel Point.

Family if 6 stayed in pioneer cabin - one queen, twin bunk and futon.

The cabin was the perfect size for our family of five and our kids enjoyed the bunk beds.

The other room had 2 bunk beds and a futon.

They were kind enough to take the bunk beds room.

The twin beds were bunk beds, which we didn’t anticipate, and the queen was a futon on a bumpy log frame.

We stayed in a pioneer cabin that had bunk beds and a pull-out futon in 1 room and a double bed in the other.

The bunk beds were nice and both my children had a good night of sleep.

The cabin comes equipped with a queen bed, a set of bunk beds, a small 3/4 bathroom, mini fridge, Keurig and coffee pods.

The second bedroom features a bunk bed (twin size), one double pull-out sleeper futon (full-size) and writing desk.

We opted for the pioneer cabin, with one queen, one futon and one set of bunk beds.

We had 4 people and used the full bed and the bunk bed.

The kids had their own room with bunk beds and there was plenty of space for our luggage (which we had a lot of).

Stayed in the cabins featuring one queen bed, one bunk bed and one futon.

It had two separate bedrooms, one queen and the other with bunks and a futon.

The back bedroom had a futon and bunk beds.

One room has a queen size bed and a second room has bunk beds and a futon.

The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a futon.

There is a double bed, a bunk bed and a futon.

2nd room had a twin bunk bed, desk, and futon.

Our cabin did have a back room where there were bunk beds and another sink so that gave us room to keep our luggage.

The best thing about the dining is the view from the dining room.

You should make dinner reservations for the Lodge dining room months before you arrive or else your only choice for food is the deli - the pork sandwich was very good.

We ate at the main dining room twice - absolutely stunning view,

but I think the dining room experience is worth booking.

We had reservations for 2 dinners at the lodge dining room - you MUST make dinner reservations way in advance & check in when arriving for dinner or put your name on waitlist to be served after everyone with reservations.

Our meal at the hotel dining room was top notch with views right over the canyon.

COVID precautions kept us out of the Dining Room.

Rico and Joszar ran the dining room in the evening and the deli in the afternoon.

I don’t think any cabins are more than a five minute walk to the main building where the views from the dining room and terrace are memorable.

Our dining also exceeded expectations: lovely dining room, good quality food.

The property was well-staffed despite COVID-19 and made provisions for the situation (bar service was take-away, the deli had to-go options, and the dining room was running normally with some table spacing).

The Lodge Dining room was open only for dinner.

There was a main dining room with excellent dinner served,

We intended to do a take out dinner from the main dining room.

The food in the dining room was very good and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We left the dining room at 10:00 PM, headed back to our lovely little cottage for the night.
