The oceanfront location near Poipu State Park beach is wonderful.

The bar is next to the beach so that's a bonus.

We spent almost every morning at Poipu Beach, which is truly right off the resort grounds.

We love that we can step out of our patio door and walk right to the beach.

Took several walks, saw turtles and seals on the nearby beaches and watched the sunset every night!

Beautifully landscaped and manicured, nestled in the waters off Poipu Beach, Waiohai is a small, quaint and comfortable property perfect for quiet and relaxation.

I'm all about the beach, especially an easy-in-easy-out gentle wave beach with warm clear water.

The beach is great to hangout and watch the surfers or plunge for some dips.

We saw seals and turtles every day on the beach which was amazing.

We had drinks and food, enjoyed the beach and the ocean view.

but there is a great boogie boarding beach close by and the turtles will swim right next to you.

The beach in front of the hotel was perfect for the little ones, and they were in love with the pools.

A great beach to walk and explore in both directions.

The property is located next to Poipu beach which can be convenient

The food at the Honu Beach Bar was really good.

The Poipu location offers beach access, a warm pool, nearby shopping, dining options and many breathtaking natural wonders to explore.

The grounds look better than ever, rooms are updated, Hula Bar team is attentive and engaging, and we had a wonderful time.

Waiohai’s pools were in great condition & the grounds looked great!

As we walked through and around the grounds, we were struck by the stunning vistas on the beach side.

The employees that we did encounter around the grounds were all wonderful.

Lovely balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean to our right, and a total view of the magnificent grounds below us.

The resort has beautiful grounds and extremely friendly and helpful staff.

It has maintained beautiful grounds and is very personal because of its small size compared to other large properties.

We’ll probably return to Waiohai, because of the fantastic location on Poipu Beach, the beautiful grounds, and the warm hospitality of most of the staff.

The staff were friendly and the grounds are beautiful, so the Vacation Club portion may be  great option,

The grounds are really well maintained with lawns, waterfalls and nice foliage.

The resort sits right on the ocean, grounds are absolutely beautiful and they offer many activities for young and old.

.so this resort definitely has the best beach in my opinion on Kauai and we especially enjoyed the frequent sightings of turtles and monk seals on our beach several days.

Will definitely be back here again when we next visit Kauai.

We loved Kauai so much and would definitely return to the Marriott.

As a frequent Kauai visitor nice to just chill, whether that's snorkeling, swimming, lounging reading a book, or hanging at the Honu bar.

Beautiful garden setting on the beach.

but our exception is Kauai and the Marriott Waiohai where we look forward to returning every year.

For our first trip to the Hawaiian islands, we chose this location, right at the south end of Kauai.

I also recommend heading out to Kauai Coffee as well.

Overall Kaua’i notes: Great location in Kauai.

Overall for Kauai this is a great resort, parking is easy (at least in the back) and the facilities are top notch.

Definitely a nice place to base yourself out of for you Kauai adventures.

Poipu beach is one of the best beaches in Kauai and the Marriott Waiohai is right on Poipu.

but the toiletries are to die for - made in Kauai, organic and just divine.

We missed just about everything you offered because between 8a-2p we went exploring the fantastic island of Kauai.

Perfect place on Kauai close to everything.

If you are looking for a home away from home in Kauai where you truly feel like family, then Waiohai is the place for you.

Next thing I knew I was flat on my back with my daughter kneeling over me.

The 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit was absolutely perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers.

She is so friendly and helpful - the kids loved her.

We were traveling with a toddler so we asked for a crib and a microwave and we were grateful that they brought them to us fairly quickly.

The first room (looking over the pool/grounds in front side of Hale 4)  had Very Comfortable beds and we slept like babies (or rocks?).

There are a large number of free (or nominal fee) daily activities including Bamboo pole fishing which our kids loved — the staff for this event was really above and beyond warm and welcoming.

The staff that arrange the activities for the kids are the best!!

The staff were good and my wife, daughter and granddaughters enjoyed a few of the activities they provide including yoga and Leigh making.

The kids loved the pool and we spent a lot of time at the beach snorkeling and wake surfing.

but we always sleep better with A/C) and within easy walking distance to a beach with swimming and snorkeling safe for our kids.

The activities coordinator was calling our kids by name by the end of the first day - we loved Jacqueline!

It's a great property and well worth the minor inconvenience of seeing a few kids.

My older nephew who LOVES fish totally enjoyed the koi-feeding every morning.

The adult pool is nice and quiet, even during summer months when the place is loaded with kids.

My daughter enjoyed feeding the koi fish and I loved making a lei.

The grounds were very beautiful and we enjoyed the adult pool because it was quiet and we were able to relax and swim as a family (adult children).

Wonderful pools and hot tubs, child friendly.

But the pool is nice and the beds are really comfortable except for the pillows.

Shouldn’t staff clean the pool BEFORE it opens?

Great location with beach access, snorkeling, pools.

but it was perfect because close to the pools and we have little ones.

Every amenity we needed was provided on the resort including a pool hut, beachfront bar with excellent food and drinks, several swimming pools and whirlpools (some adult only) and a gift shop that had a Starbucks and mini grocery store that had everything we needed from alka seltzer to ketchup to a hair scrunchy and more!

The pool areas are great and the beach is beautiful.

Our friends have a time share at this Marriott resort and we enjoyed an afternoon at the Honu Pool Bar & Grill.

Snorkeling and boogie boarding right in front of the property, a short walk to Puka Dog and Poipu Beach Park and beautiful pools and amenities.

We forgot what a wonderful property it is -- so much space (at the pools, several different grassy areas), the beach is fabulous, so many sea turtles and monk seals out, it was fantastic (even with some bad weather).

The pools are wonderful and families do respect the serenity pool where adults can have a quiet afternoon by a cooler pool with a spa.

Easy parking and access to our room, lobby, pool, and beach.

Be sure to request ocean/beach or pool view when you book your stay.

We especially enjoyed getting a MaiTai from the pool bar and then finding a sweet spot along the ocean to wait for the sunset and the "Green Flash".

The pool is amazing and the rooms are great.

Instead of treating me fairly and and covering my medical expenses, (I asked for nothing more) they chose to say that it was my fault that I fell on the wet flagstone and basically called me a liar.

We booked through Redweek and were not informed about the $22 taxes and parking fee added each day x7 for the week,

The property was not sold out and this was a deliberate attempt to force people into a time share presentation instead of giving the rate that Paulette promised.

If in fact you want to stay at this resort (which I would not recommend) I would pay less for a garden view room which is much prettier than what we got for an ocean view.

It’s my opinion that that is the only way that I would stay here is the price seems a little extravagant.

I mean, we know that Hawaii's expensive, we know that Marriott is a thriving for profit organization,

Don't worry about any of that, you are on vacation"  So the big complaint that is legitimate is the view and positioning of the units vis-à-vis the Ocean view versus the cost you may have to pay.

Beware beach bar drinks are high priced and not very strong.

The downside - Marriott has started to charge parking at many properties on top of the high maintenance fees - I think this is ridiculous as an owner (at another location) myself

The only issue, which took 3 days to resolve, was the fact that we paid for an ocean view room and got a view of the parking lot.

I was told that my rate would change if I were to continue making noise and that any guests in the room who weren’t registered would be kicked out.

If you rent nightly it is a bit pricey and I rated it luxury

After searching for a few minutes, she said the Marriott was all booked up and all she could do for me was find me a room at one of their partner hotels, Koloa Landing Resort, for which I would have to pay full price for.

It isn't cheap, quite expensive even with the discounts we got so expect to pay £200-£300 per night.

Nothing negative can be said about this property except for maybe the high price.

It made more economic sense to pay for the extra night we weren't using, than to pay for 4 nights at the higher rate,

There is walkability to the beach in front of the resort, as well as to the nearby shopping center and restaurants ( 4 minutes walk).

There are a myriad of activities available and lots of restaurants nearby that would be among our favourites if they were in our hometown.

The food at Honu bar was really delicious and we visited a few time.

But, there are a number of really good restaurants within 5 minutes.

We had lunch at the Honu Bar often which was great.

The hotel has one restaurant, which was actually very good and had delicious drinks.

Good golf  locally, and many food options, or cooking and blending in your own villa.

The poolside restaurant overlooks the ocean and was super convenient.

but we had a full kitchen to cook in with all the needed supplies to prepare a meal.

We opted to try their Thanksgiving dinner; it was a reasonable fee and quite yummy.

They also close down all of the open barbecue pit areas and forced everyone to use the most closed in smallest barbecue pit area near building seven.

Lots of BBQ’s if you want to cook and great kitchens in the rooms so that was a big plus too.

The property is well-stocked with lawn-games, ping-pong, BBQ's, and other things to do.

Nice refrigerator in room so i could store my own snacks and beer.

Loads more to say, could go on, we had an ocean view room which was nice, do the farmers market in Koloa, bought Sugarloaf Pineapple for $12 which was lovely.

It s a beautiful location overlooking the ocean Poipu beach is very nice.

It was a great ocean view on a high floor.

Saw monk seals & sea turtles each morning, watched surfers, and snorkeled each day!

The views are gorgeous and accommodations so comfortable.

It was nice as far as hotel rooms go, A little balcony with a small ocean view.

So you are prepared when you arrive and knowingly stay and are generally ok with a parking lot view.

Most of the ocean view rooms only give a partial view over a parking lot.

In the end the new room looked at exactly the same place as the first room, and was set back further from the ocean than the first room.

We had a Very Nice ocean view from this Hale.

The resort is very nice and most villas have a nice view.

We have an every other year ocean view timeshare.

Sat on the beach for maybe 5 min and go bite by so many no-see ums!!

Beach area is great with easy access to the water.

Loved the outer edges of the property, where you could find a private lounge chair to look out into Florida Bay.

Cathy Knowles provided so much assistance and went above and beyond to help me put together a wonderful sunset ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner as well as a fun beach barbeque the night before after we took a sunset cruise with Pirate's Cove Watersports (also a great experience).

We enjoyed the pool, the ocean, the pool bar, and the hotel restaurant for dinner (delivered right to our room).

Pool and beach are always clean and entire staff is always friendly and welcoming

but it's one of the few hotels in Key Largo that even have a beach with access to the bay.

although we didn’t participate in any marina activities.

The staff are very nice and the pool and beach area are very nice.

We loved lounging on the beach and enjoying the drinks/food served from the pool bar.

We LOVED- the pool, the beach, the sunsets, the tiki bar, the food, our room, the staff, the water sports, especially the wave runners!

We had a corner room with a large lani over looking the bay and the pool.

The $40/day added room charge (unexpected) is for use of beach towels, coffee maker in room, Wi-Fi and parking.

The pool and beach areas were clean and well equipped with towels and chaises.

Long stretches of beach areas to stroll or just hand out on beach chairs.

There is a nice pool with a hot tub and a beach area.

Enjoyed the water front beach area and accessibility to water sport rentals.

It is a smaller resort, with an outstanding pool area, pool bar, and small beach area (see more on that below).

Not a lot of beaches in the area so it was nice to have a beach at the hotel,

The best thing about the resort is the pool and beach area.

Pros:
- Has an all-inclusive feel to it with several on site restaurants/bars and it has sort of a compound type feel to it with private beach area with hammocks, fire pit, and table and beach games available.

The pool and beach area are spacious and beautiful.

They said it was a smoke free environment and the dogs are restricted  From the Pool and Beach area.

The pool and beach area were actually very nice and the bar staff was very nice.

The beach area was very nice, and the bar and restaurant were nicely appointed.

You can rent kayaks and jet skis or take tours for snorkeling, diving or just watching the sunset.

We rented jet skis right from the property.

You could rent jet skis and parasail if you would like.

There is a marina on the property and you can book dive trips and things like paddle boards and jet skis.

A lot of activities,
Paddle boarding, jet skis, boat rentals.

They also have a nice beach area for swimming, paddle boarding, jet skis.

but the resort offers kayaks, paddle boards and jet skis for rental.

We enjoyed our stay the pool and beach area were fine, you can rent jet skis, paddle boards etc.

The on-site dive shop offers rentals of Jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, dive equipment, snorkel gear, and even has deep sea fishing charters.

you can rent jet skis, fishing rods, or go diving snorkling or fishing right from hotel which is a plus.

It’s on the water, has a beautiful pool, two restaurants, two bars, poolside Tiki bar, rental boats and jet skis.

Two islands with beach chairs, plus you can rent jet skis on site.

There are rafts, paddleboards, jet skis, and kayaks to use.

Our kids love that paddleboards, kayaks, and jet skis are available to rent at anytime.

We did rent jet skis while we were waiting and they guys running it were great.

The lads went out on jet skis (payable on site), which the kids said was the highlight of their holiday!

I also enjoyed the jet skis very much and I highly recommend using them.

The pool & tiki bar was simply outstanding.

Outstanding pool and overall grounds - plenty of places to chilly the water.

Free cold water & flavoured water available at pool bar all day.

The pool was spacious with a good jacuzzi.

The pool was clean and relaxing 😌
We highly recommend this resort !

A lot of Florida residents head to the keys for weekend getaways, arriving Friday night, fishing on Sat and enjoying the pool before heading back Sunday afternoon.

My balcony overlooked the pool, with an the ocean view as well.

Resort is very nice and pool and pool bar were also nice.

The beautiful outside bar by the pool CLOSES at 7 (sundown).

but not any of the many different dates I provided and they can’t tell you when if any will be available, I paid extra for a not so gorgeous view.

Drinks are 13 bucks a pop for the “small” plastic cup size.

Versus y disappointed for the price we paid.

Only knockin it down 1 star for the prices.

but I hate to have to do that for the price and shouldn’t have to.

The only downside is food and drinks are very expensive.

The only complaint is food on premise is expensive and the dinner menu was meh.

but it would cost us an additional $40 per night.

Not the worst I’ve been in though, just the worst at this price point.

Amenities are not commensurate to the fees.

We will not stay there again even at a third of the price!

It just doesn’t quality as luxury and is horribly overpriced at the $720 I paid for a standard hotel  room facing the Highway.

Not too expensive and staff was very polite.

The morning after the wedding, the restaurant held one section just for our guests (40 of them) so we could have breakfast together.

The service at the restaurant is excellent .

Gus' restaurant is really good - prices are very reasonable for the location.

We had 2 lovely meals in the restaurant where the staff were friendly.
