This is a small hotel with no lounge or bar area so is not suitable for those who like to have a livelier atmosphere,

This hotel must have changed a lot,as there is now no bar or cafe.

There is no bar and drinks are served in the restaurant.

There is a small bar area which remained resolutely closed throughout the week.

Only complaint would be that hotel felt soulless at night with no real bar area and we found ourselves staying in the dining room chatting to fellow guests.

I suspect that people further from the door were less troubled; (iii) we were supplied with one small bar of soap and two shampoo sachets for our entire week.

On the advice of an earlier comment I took a bar of soap and shower gel (also a shower hat).

i do not believe that the owners wish to make anymore income from the bar in th evenings hence the early closing.

Despite clearly being very busy Veronika took the time to keep us company in the bar one evening when we asked to watch the Bayern Munich game.

Old room, old carpet old bath room, no AC in summer, beds unconfortable, smelly room (to avoid smell open the window permanently.

On our check out day we had a late collection and the staff advised if we needed to freshen up you could use the shower area by the Sauna if needed.

If you like a cuppa, take a kettle and definitely take shower gel and shampoo etc as there isn't a lot in the rooms,

The earliest bath was 4.15am, the latest shower was just before midnight.

Bring soap and shower gel because German hotels apparently only give one night's supply.

The restaurant had a very nice buffet breakfast in the morning and the dinner was also very good.

The food was delicious and varied, the room was comfortable and clean, and we can't rate this hotel highly enough!

Breakfast was continental style with a good selection of meats, cheese, cereals, breads, fruit, yogurts and also a small hot buffet.

Stayed for 10 nights  20 minute walk to town, stayed with Thomsons good hotel, lovely big room, at front of hotel,very comfortable and clean, breakfast and evening meals very good choice, trains and buses with good service from centre of town and free during your stay in Ruhpolding, lots of nice shops in centre of town, lots of nice walks very enjoyable holiday hope to come back next year .

The starter salad buffet was sometimes good and included meat and fish and at other times just some bowls of salad leaves.

The Landhotel was a good, clean hotel with friendly staff, food was fine (meat, fish and vegetarian dishes) and plentiful as part of our 2-week Thomson half-board package.

Breakfast excellent with a choice of hot and cold food and a fresh fruit salad and fruit compote daily.

There was an excellent selection of food at breakfast, including fresh fruit salad, a wide selection of delicious bread, bacon and eggs.

Breakfast was very good too with a few hot offerings.

Breakfast is of  good quality, lunch and dinner also met my expectations.

At breakfast you chose your four course supper for that evening.

There was a wide variety on the buffet breakfast and even a choice of freshly cooked eggs.

Our meals were delicious, sitting inside or out on the patio surrounded by mountains.

The breakfast is very rich and varied, they prepare eggs on request the way you like them.

The food was very poor most of the week anyway with some guests (including myself eating in the town).

The only niggle was that the WiFi in our room was poor and consisted of obtaining vouchers that only allowed 6 hours online,

however, was pretty poor due to the fact we could hear running water, toilets flushed, showers and baths being run at all hours.

The most sensational spot with fabulous mountain walks from the door, a state of the art spa, delicious food and most importantly the friendliest staff we have ever come across.

Breakfast was an la carte and buffet affair with all your breakfast wishes catered for.

The breakfast ist diverse and you can order what ever you want!

The kitchen cooks delicious meals and is able to adapt to food intolorances and allergies.

Dinner was a highlight of our stay and the breakfasts were tastefully done.

A major bonus for us was extended breakfast and spacious bedrooms.

Great staff, delicious food and a wonderful spa and sauna area made our stay very special.

The spa area was really good with big swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. As for me the best thing was breakfast, because it made in german style (very tasty!!)

What makes Gut Steinbach incomparable is the secluded location, the local and thoughtfully prepared food (they breed their own deers), the exclusive cigar lounge, the rich breakfast buffet and the open-hearted people at this place.

The price performance relationship is not fair in our eyes.

When we checked out, they added another tax, and would not remove it despite my telling them what we were told and showing them the paper with the final price that showed "all taxes written on it.

The spa is great, the rooms are cosy, the breakfast is a good European breakfast.

The breakfast was really okay and included for example some regional sausages.

Their breakfast is all around great and offers a lot of variety.

The Unterwirt's menu offers a wide range of delicious Bavarian dishes from typical to special and unique.

Breakfast was included in my rate and was really gorgeous.

Service, food, cleanliness, spa and breakfast were all phenomenal.

but he is right there at breakfast, doing the same.

Hotel is pretty simple and rather expensive.

As mentioned before the churchbells were a noise to get used to.

Forget tradition, this is noise pollution.

Also for those of you who is sensitive to noise during the night,
there is a church next to the hotel and church bells ring every half
an hour from 7 AM till 10PM.

If time permits, don't skip its complimentary sauna, steam bath + THE BREAKFAST!

Excellent stay at Beim Nuihausa because of (1) the quiet and scenic location, (2) the facilities (Spa, free private parking), (3) the breakfast with a lot of variety and (4) the friendly, helping staff.

We had a great breakfast every morning at the breakfast buffet.

Very good (local) products on the breakfast buffet.

We alternated between the guesthouse's delicious breakfast and popping across the road to the bakers for cakes and brioche.

For anyone who has flown to Munich and wants to stop for a comfortable overnight about 90 minutes from there en route to a holiday destination that might be too long a drive after a long flight, this comfortable, well-situated guesthouse might be just the ticket.

The only minus is that not all of them have WIFI (they are supposed to.

The breakfast the next morning was delicious.

Breakfast was in the main dining room, and they had quite a nice display.

Breakfasts were particularly good- and we saw families from many countries there.

The hotel was very nice, breakfast beautiful.

Breakfast was good buffet, full of choices for all.

Location was good, staffs were very kind, breakfast was fair, and most of all restaurant was very good.

The restaurant downstairs serves scrumptious, good quality, reasonably priced food.

Breakfast had a large selection and the bufet was topped up as things run out.

Breakfast was also great with plenty of selection even for fussy eaters.

but really hard to find fault, only praise on this experience.

As a family of four and having experienced a bout of tiny hotel rooms, we were relieved to spend the night in the roomy family suite.

But you cannot imagine the breakfast service, it was the worst ever experience in all my time travelling regarding hotel breakfasts.

We didn't get to stay to explore the town,

but driving around, there are alot of other options in other towns where there appears to be more to do.

the restaurant served a great breakfast and the evening meals were very tasty.

The menu was varied and specialized in local dishes and recommended the appropriate wine, he even persuaded us to try ice cream with pumpkin sauce - delicious!!

The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because it should improve on wifi availability: the speed was horrendous, and since in the area there was not a good mobile reception, it was a must!

Only downsides were that are balcony didn't get evening sun (ask for room at the front) and that it was so quiet - we like quiet

but personable hotel - we had a self catering apartment which was handy (though why no kettle?!).

Our only complaint, was that the Wifi was weak - something they are aware of and are working on.

Bit surprised a hotel of this size didn't have free wi-fi - stayed in smaller places that did.

Amazing breakfast included in the price with variety of fresh and local produce, very nicely done eggs benedict and waffles, and yes - even champagne is served.

We had half board food and it was excellent - before we arrived here we thought that it was going to be a lot of sausages and basic food

I've eaten dinner twice and breakfast once so far.

The evening meal was very tasty and the breakfasts were the usual selection of cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheeses.

The breakfast was first rate in a beautiful restaurant setting.

From the friendly email exchanges leading up, to the warm welcome upon arrival, to the substantial breakfasts featuring the best in local fare, to the final goodbyes, Gabriele, her family and the entire team did everything possible to personify low-key hotelier TLC…in other words you are able to be as private as you want…or as engaging, depending on your frame of mind.

The breakfast is a good German standard (breads, yogurt, cereal, cheese, fruit, cold cuts).

Once in awhile the photos and words from a website truly represent a hotel destination.

While the featured picture is a little misleading (there are houses directly behind the photographer, and just outside the left of the frame), it is very scenic, quaint, and you can hike right out from the doorstep.

A limited choice of cooked food included scrambled or boiled eggs plus sausages or bacon.

We were happy that the staff prepared the Saturday breakfast as a picnic due to our early morning trip.

Fine dining and breakfast is just an addition to a trully great atmosphere!

I would advise avoiding all the Sonnleiten hotels and guesthouses after this horrible experience.
