but guided equivalent of red runs in other countries but your in safe hands with the instructors, would definitely return, resort quiet compared to other apres ski areas (as per guided by our friends) but perfect for us.

Finally, the pool, sauna and spa facilities were a lovely bonus, and provided a special relaxation area at the end of a long day's skiing.

The real fire in the lounge area is a welcome touch to return to after a day out on the slopes.

I've attached a number of image's as it's difficult to describe just what a guest can expect from this superb hotel, I hope it whet's the appetite of anyone considering a trip to this area.

Great experience, super kind service (thanks Corina, Sandra, Lisl, Sonia, Jamil, Martin, Martin and the other team members), very nice breakfast and evening meals (as well for the children as for us), great afternoon cakes & snacks, clean rooms with nice view on the Rauris Valley, good info on the walks in the neighbourhood & guide Martin, clean swimming pool and this within a unique area (where we had 8 days of warm weather (above 25°C) and even snow in August !

The hotel is just as described and I loved the external sauna and wellness area.

We stayed as a party of 7, and were delighted with the high quality of accom, food, spa, bar area and overall friendliness of the owners & their staff.

The hotel is no smoking so a nice relaxing bar area without smoke.

Large Ski storage area adjacent to the bus stop, no steps to drag your skis up!

The lounge and bar areas have many interesting artefacts and pictures.

The spa area and swimming pool are lovely and relaxing.

The wellness area is really nice as well.

There is also a indoor pool, sauna, steam rooms available in a set apart underground area.

Maybe the hotel is too large or was too busy

Waiters are more busy with taking away dirty dishes than taking care of the guests arriving at the table: 10 minutes waiting before someone asking for the drinks.

However, not once did we hear any noise in our room, despite the fact that the bar was usually quite busy.

This meant the resort and the hotel was very busy.

The skiing was great for "advanced beginners" and moderate intermediates and despite the crowds at Salzburg airport, the slopes were not too busy and hardly any queues for the ski lifts (presumably most people went elsewhere).

This was very disappointing as I love stepping into a whirlpool after a day on the slopes and have never experienced a one as cold as this anywhere else.

Breakfast was hot and cold buffet with cooking station for omelettes and eggs and bacon.

The pool was lovely, if a little on the cold side.

The only downside was the swimming pool a tad to cold for my liking needs to be a few degrees warmer!

however the rest of us thought that it was a little too cold, which was a little disappointing, my eldest daughter and myself preferred to use the extensive steam and saunas which were amazing and very relaxing on a cautious note my daughter did not realise that our german guests prefer to use these naked much to her horror!

It was lovely to see how well they catered for the children with their own menu, Breakfasts were again excellebnt , hot and cold and amble choice and I nearly forgot at 3pm there were not only cakes

Even if you don’t ski, as well as the hotel facilities there are activities organised for free such as snowshoe waking in the national park at the top of the valley (amazing) and walks down the valley from the hotel.

There are also some great winter walking trails with equipment and advice provided by the hotel.

The swimming pool and surrounding area is lovely

The spa facilities are very good with two saunas, a steam room, infra red cabin and a good sized pool with a jacuzzi.

There is a lovely pool, spa and gym, tennis court and walking tours, plus wonderful scenery

Spa facilities are available to all guests which are superb and very welcoming after a day on the slopes.

The spa facilities are amazing and so relaxing after a day of skiing, the food that they provide is of the highest standard and my compliments to the kitchen & restaurant team as they really know how to make an amazing meal.

The Rauriserhof is a large, well-appointed hotel with pool, gym, sauna and tennis courts on the edge of Rauris town.

The standard of this hotel, it's traditionally dressed staff, it's incredible food, it's leisure and fitness offer is of the very best we have ever experienced.

The spa and swimming pool are great to stretch muscles and relax.

Bus stopped right outside hotel and dropped of at ski lifts buses ran every 30 mins 
The hire shop was very efficient and we got our ski hire equipment easily.

Also has a gym, sauna and relaxation rooms

Managed to enjoy some of the wellness facilities too which was enjoyable, especially the outside sauna when it was snowing.

The food was excellent, location fabulous - just a 10 minute walk to the nursery slopes- and has great spa facilities.

Our daughter loved the swimming pool and play room.

Could not find fault at all with great food and drink, great facilities, pool, bar etc., etc.

We felt completely comfortable taking off our skis, boots and wet clothes, leaving them in the boot room before sitting in the hotel bar in thermals drinking more local schnapps and beer.

The hotel bar terrace was below our room, which was a bit noisy at times,

Drinks were not that expensive compared with other hotels and bars,

We loved the outdoor pool for a morning swim and the food is 5 star too .

The facilities are extensive - a spa, indoor pool and (my favourite) a heated outdoor pool with fabulous views on both sides of the valley.

One of the stand out features of the Hotel was the heated outside pool.

Amazing hotel, superb friendly staff, great aminaties  sauna, swimming pool and spa if required.

Swimming pool was very nice with a jacuzzi.

We are just back from our two week stay in this delightful hotel ( our third visit) where the welcome is warm,and the food and accommodation excellent.We made good use of the equally excellent indoor pool, and were particularly impressed by the ever cheerful (and knowledgeable) Martin who led the daily hiking trips in the valleys' and mountains' which surround.If we do have a criticism, it is that there no longer appears to be a minimum dress code for dinner.We 
are fond of casual eating,

The rooms are spotless with everything required for a relaxing holiday.

The rooms were always clean, and serviced daily.

Room was clean and warm (perhaps too warm some nights), we made the mistake of opening the window overnight only to be woken at about 3 o'clockby the bells in the church tower.

The bar staff - in particular Sarah and Jamal were brilliant and not to forget the un-sung heroes, the housekeepers who made the room spotless day after day.

The room was immaculately clean and spacious.

Room was very clean and facilitys were excellent.

The rooms are spotless and the views of the surrounding mountains stunning.

We stayed here for 2 days with my family and all of us loved this place. Just to give a quick summary:

Positive things: 
- clean, modern rooms
- quite versatile, delicious foods
- nice, helpful staff members
- clean, well maintained pool and relaxation area
- good saunas (especially loved the dampbad and it is nice that there are dried fruits, tea, water etc.)

Spacious and impressive reception area, and friendly welcome from one of the owners.

If you are in the area, well worth the money.

Nice outdoor Pool and wellness area.. zell am See and the kafertal are both really close!

We came by car so it was really easy for us to reach the ski areas of Zell am See and Kaprun within only 10 minutes.

It’s supposed to be a quiet area, although some guests were less quiet than I’d have liked,

We had never been to the alps in summertime before and found this spot a great place for exploring the area with many beatiful sceneries.

Definitely one of the places you have to visit or stay at if you plan on going to the Salzburg magnificent mountain area.

All the facilities like pools,sauna and play area  for the kids are in the main building and we had taken a room in their extension building which was 10-15m away

The Roemerhof is serviceable and good value for a one-night stay, and guests could do much worse for longer visits to the area.

It is in an area known for hiking, biking, rock climbing, motorbiking and cycling.

You have your own parking area also which is handy.

The 2 rooms were fantastic and quiet, the mattresses excellent, sauna, pool and fitness areas clean and well equipped, generous and delicious breakfast buffet.

Loved the breakfast buffet and the breakfast dining area.

Games room, swimming pool and outdoor natural pool and  children's play area very enjoyable.

The wellness area is well maintained and give you several options.

Only minus is the indoor smoking zone, which is located in the center of the bottom fælle, meaning that the smell often is noticable.

Unfortunately , there are some minor things to be changed :
- some internal rules for the guests should be applied ; we had our rooom on the 1st floor where the SPA center is located and also the kids room .

We had all our windows open due to the heat of summer therefore, as a road-side hotel, the traffic early morning could be a tiny bit noisy

this is probably due in no small part to the ‘wellness’ facilities on offer at Hotel Romerhof.

Heated outside pool with spa-like facilities was a nice surprise.

The facilities, the service, the food, the staff are so accommodating to all the needs!

Nice rooms, a great swimming pool, rich buffet and delicious meals.

Facilities include indoor and utdoor pools and a sauna.

There is a fitness centre, indoor and outdoor pool, a garden and a wellness centre, offering a sauna and massage.

Although I’d equipped the car with an airbed it still wasn’t the most wonderful night, followed by nearly twelve hours driving through some pretty horrendous weather.

The indoor swimming pool is a great plus because you can swim in cold days.

it was very easy to get ski equipment and ski lessons from the hotel all of which were excellent.

The hotel has more than one building in the town, with an assortment of accommodation, and has a well-equipped spa for weary Alpine tourists.

The food is really good, rooms are very clean and very well equipped.

Room was very clean and fairly spacious, with a well equipped bathroom and a scenic view balcony.

There is an indoor pool & outdoor swimming pond + some activities for kids on the backyard.

Service is more then friendly, location is Amazing, the outside Park is beautiful, the facilities for Kids makes you thankfull.

Beds comfortable (at least compared to matress lager in a mountain hut the night before ;-) ). We made good use of the spa facilities (sauna, steam bath, caldarium, resting area,.  )

but there are steps up to the ground floor, and a few more steps after taking the lift, which is not ideal for shlepping heavy bags.

but no help with bags and there are stairs between the car park and the lift and the lift and the rooms so make sure you carry your bags.

Newly refurbished hotel, the outdoor heated pool with bubble beds is something amazing, especially in the winter time.

The SPA, the outdoor pool, the saunas, the indoor pool, the rooms, the restaurant, the food, the friendliness of the staff, everything was just excellent and every tiny detail was thought off!!!

I would recommend maybe putting some chairs along the inside pool.

Just to summarize: 
Positive: 
-fast and pleasant communication with the hotel staff from the first contact
-nice personnel in every part of the hotel making guests feel welcome
-hotel is nice, comfortable and very clean
-breakfast was rich and very tasty
-fantastic pools with warm water accessible also in the evening
-really nice garden with pond
-trampoline in the garden
-lot of parking places
-few minutes from the Grossglockner High Alpine Road entry

Negative:
- we did not enjoy the dinners- the taste was some kind of boring and the options were limited.

We started the day with the pool and use of sauna after a day on the slopes.

Nice hotel with spa, pool, good spacious rooms, nice beds and excellent food.

20 minutes to get to the slopes which didn't bother us.The hotel also has an indoor pool, sauna and steam room which we all made use of after a day on the slopes.

There's a full wellness center, full restaurant, option for half board or just breakfast, ping-pong, trampoline, outdoor natural pond for swimming or relaxing, indoor pool and the refreshing "water-treading" in a cold, spring-fed stream!

The pool works from 7 to 10, which is incredible.

Play rooms for the kids, pool, nice wellness, very good massage.

All included, no additional fees, there’s a swimming pool of useful size, not just a small excuse.

but no "wow" effects either: rooms are clean and spacious.

The rooms were tidy and no-nonsense with a balcony and a decent bathroom.

The games room was great with good facilities - which allowed us to make as much noise as we wanted.

There's a games room with a bar, lots of family games and books to read.

Games room very useful when travelling in a group of friends.

There a loads of places to visit in the area and full range of information on venues provided in leaflet form and personal knowledge of the hosts.

Breakfast was delicious too and nicola has lots of books to read and a games area downstairs.

We like the fact that we also had use of a kitchen and lounge not to mention a games room complete with bar!

but with the extensive DVD collection and games, we spent the day relaxing, watching a couple of films.

If in the area again I would definitely book again.

The interesting entertaining basement area is a great bonus especially for family.

We spent 2 nights at this clean and comfortable inn and was very impressed by the rustic decoration of both the room and the common area.

I found a lot of booklets and guides about the area (attractions, maps, bus timetables).

We arrived at Chalet Charlotte expecting nice spring weather and expecting to spend most of our time cycling in the area.

The area is gorgeous and we would love to come back to explore the area further.

There is a extensive amount of brochures and leaflets in the entrance as well as the extensive knowledge of the area by our hosts.

but you could easy fill a week in this area.

Our room was dbl bed with shower and shared toilet.

No real complaints except that I would have liked to have had a few convenience things there such as dish soap, paper towels and hand soap for the bathrooms.

We had to go to the hallway to get to the shower or toilet or just to get the hands washed - not nice.

Nicola apologised that our room had no toilet

it was not nice to go to the toilet after that when the floor was flooding.

but we had to use one just further down the hallway.

The rooms very clean and comfortable and there was a lovely lounge area.

The spotless room & the double bed was so comfortable with delightful fragrance.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good free wifi, good priced & owner spoke English (originally from the UK).

The rooms are fresh, clean and comfy with stunning views.

Our private little terrace was fabulous with stunning mountain view.

We stayed in room 5 which had an en suite shower and toilet as well as a small balcony, to sit out on and enjoy the spectacular surrounding views.

In the mornings after admiring the view from the windows, we had the largest choice of food you could ask for.

The chalet is situated in a perfect surrounding with an amazing view of the mountains.

The location is excellent for doing different excursions of a day, mountains, cities, lakes.

Every breakfast we had a print out on our table (like a small newspaper) with description of the weather, places to visit in the Gastein valley in case you don't go skiing, some interesting activities, like curling, сross-country skiing and others.

In any case, we understand it will be completely renovated in time for the ski season.

Normally we don't make our choice of hotel by the reviews,but in this case we were really  surprised to see that most of them were excellent!

but has still sufficient parking spaces (which is not elsewhere the case in Bad Hofgastein).The station for the bus to go to the skiing areas is round the corner, thus you practically don't need your car.

Hotel Bismarck offers luxurious rooms and even exclusive suites which have been recently been renovated in an elegant Austrian style (we were so thrilled being allowed to stay in one, exceptional!)

Breakfast is buffet style in the morning, with fresh eggs cooked to order.

We really enjoyed the stay - very pleasant family hotel atmosphere - beautiful place , delicious food, fresh design of the rooms and after each trip to mountaintops - heated pools in a gorgeous garden available..! Tasty and modern styled food is simply outstanding!

Chef blended Austrian and international cuisine in a very enjoyable way.

I prefer family atmosphere, big spa, cleanless and amazing kitchen.. it real heaven.

The hotel has a very cozy ambience - the lighting is next to romantic and the wooden panels and wooden floors cooperate with this feeling.

If you are looking for a reasonable hotel with the best accommodations, food, views, ambiance, wellness center, service and location look no longer, you found the BEST.

Everything is bright, in nice materials and clean.

Recently renovated modern-twist spacious alpine style rooms, hotel also offers adult-only pools and spa and sauna area (do mind the slippery floors)

The food is outstanding, especially the dinners feels like dining in 3 star Michelin restaurant.

We possibly enjoyed some of the best snow conditions and the village and surroundings looked magical .

The food was exquisite, every meal was a delight, the Christmas Eve Dinner was the highlight and an amazing occasion.

Our room (it was a suite) was really big, with a large terrace and cozy furniture.
