A group of my friends and I chose to reserve several rooms in the Valley Wing that had access to the Club Lounge so that we could celebrate a dear friend's birthday.

Huge thanks to the Horizon Club Lounge team–– Andy, Luna, Betsy, Becky, and Clara!

Their club lounge was unfortunately close during our visit, so that is a reason to come back.

We stayed in Valley wing and enjoyed using the pool, the club lounge, and making use of dining credit in Flying Catch restaurant.

We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the Club Lounge.

We upgraded our room to the executive club wing to enjoy more space in the room, complementary extra bed for the kid, and the access to the club lounge.

Club Lounge is also good with lots of space to dine and sit.

The staff at check in were so friendly, they’re English was good and the ladies got a rose each.

As a French-German family we look especially for friendly, kind and professional service as it ties in with our education.

Always so helpful, friendly and showing positive attitudes towards us, even our daughters were looking forward to meet them every day during our 3 nights stay there.

Rooms clean and comfortable, staff had good English and were very friendly.

We had our breakfast at the executive lounge and one of the staff Chelsea was very friendly.

The front desk staff and their manager-Mr Ryan and Mr Kento were very friendly and shown their hospitality well.

While the new rooms are nice and the team is very friendly at the reception, is the breakfast area a loud 2* market hall.

Had business meeting in Qingdao last month, love this beautiful city,  Shangrila hotel got best location and super friendly service.

Stayed here a few times on business trips to China, really friendly service, fast check-in and checkout, large clean rooms and perfect fully equipped bathrooms.

The Staff is so extremely warm professional and friendly, I specially thank an outstanding employee---Becky Zhu, for her tremendous effort and assistance and underline her commitment to work, professionalism, patience and understanding of human’s heart,.

Staffs are very friendly and the lobby lounge bar is a great place to have a drink and relax with live music.

The staff at breakfast were very efficient and friendly even when they were all under pressure due to to long queues.

The staff in the executive lounge really made the experience what it was, as the food was a bit average and not very hot.

She ask me whether need a glass of hot milk as she saw me feel cold.

Unfortunately lifts and corridors smelt of smoke and hot breakfast items lukewarm and congealed.

but for some reason Chinese buffets seem to have issues keeping their food properly hot.

Many local and international dishes were presented together with varieties of hot and cold beverages.

There are metro station, bus stop, huge shopping mall and many nice restaurants.

The location is very convenient, close to shopping malls and the sea.

It is also located near to the May 4th square subway and next to a huge shopping mall with plenty of food options and indoor playground.

The seashore is within the walking distance, and there is a great shopping mall next to it.

Between there is a variety of choices of food right behind the Hotels where shopping malls are just 5 minutes walk away.

The location of the hotel is excellent with city centre, beach and popular shopping malls all within walking distance.

And there is a huge shopping mall across the street and May 4th square is a short walk away, as is the ocean front.

Hotel was conveniently located right next to MixC, a big shopping mall with lotsa eateries and shops.

This hotel is connected to a big modern shopping mall as well which is very convenient.

Near of hotel you can find everything you can need and a big shopping mall is in front.

Location wise it's right next to a big shopping mall and a short walk to May 4 Square and the water, so very convenient.

I could mention that I like the beautiful yacht club near by and the new shopping mall next door

Upon farewell, we were even presented with a unique Shangri La scent in a gift box by the Hotel Manager, so very thoughtful and kind.

All employees were very polite, and helpful.

It has a large room, Located at quiet place, convenient communication.

The facilities are modern and clean, the staff are excellent and anticipating every need .

The personnel was engaged and helpful as ever, perfect service!

The highlight of our stay were the absolute warm hearted and service orientated hotel staff.

The manager Mr Goto was fab, he greeted us every time he saw us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

Starting from welcoming us when we arrived at the hotel with our car.

We can only say thank you to the whole Shangri-La team.

Every single person went out of their way to be helpful and kind.

We have stayed at the Shangri-La several times and always been treated exceptionally well.

but that night it went above anything we had experienced because of the staffs desire to make it a memorable time.

The staff in the lounge were polite, generous, and spoke good English.

But we enjoyed very much the hospitality of following persons as we met them most time: Front Office manager Anny Zhang,  Ms Viktoria from front office, Mr. Kenta, Ms Bella Liu.

We, my wife and me really appreciated the treatment we experienced in Qingdao Shangri-La (sometimes a bit too good), as a guest, who years ago came frequently and now once again for a nice Holiday week in this beautiful city.

We are a western expat family of four who traveled the world and have tons of experience in with hotels especially in 4 and 5 Star hotels and resorts.

This was by far the best hotel experience I have had in Qingdao and in China.

This stay, like my previous experience, was pleasant and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a fuss-free and relaxing time in Qingdao.

The Village Lounge of the Shangri-La Hotel is an excellent complement to an overall great esperim experience of a 5 stars hotel.

The experience can be quite challenging and QingDao Shangrila has definitely delivered.

Always a delightful experience to stay at Shangrila Qingdao Horizon club.

We were very impressed by their warm hospitality - Kenta Goto, Manager in Valley Wing, little Liu, bell boy we met on our first arrival, Ella, Katy, Sunny and Crystal in Club Lounge, Liu Xiuyu in swimming pool and Jiang Bo Cui, cleaning lady for our room, etc.

I always have a excellent experience when I am at the Shangri La in Qingdao.

Even after I said it was OK and I would like to wait and see whether the noice would be gone at night, York tried to get another room for me.

I had to wait for more than an hour for my room on arrival

however, I had to wait a while and actually had to show my booking with the "breakfast included", as they made clear to me that breakfast was not included.

I had asked for a lavender pillow and it was there waiting for me.

Moldy shower, stained carpet, sofa and bed head, obsolete furniture.

Negative point: very poor maintenance condition in guest room: chiped furniture, black grouting in the bath room, marble floor have some unremovable stain, compare with other intercontinental hotel in China, it's the WROST ONE.

Bathroom was full of noise when the shower was turned on. 3.

On-site prices for food and amenities were what you'd expect at a typical Intercontinental, it just wasn't a great price-to-quality ratio.

3) Broken tiles in shower floor so that you had to be careful where you stood.

Very warm welcome whilst arrival and reception friendly to complete the check-in to make us get into the room easily.

The maids ensured our room cleaned timely, especially the receptionist, Riki Lee was very friendly and also extremely helpful.

The staff is very friendly and ready to assist you.

but the very friendly service which is much better than Marriott or its affiliates.

I come several times a year to Qingdao, and have made the Qingdao Intercontinental my home away from home, thanks to the friendly welcome and keen understanding of my needs, especially orchestrated by the guest relations manager, Ms Michelle Wang.

Staffs at the reception and the club were very friendly and spoke fluent English.

Mr. Ivan from the reception is one of the most helpful and friendly hotel staff that I've ever met.

Great location too hotel near the marina and surrounded by some great shopping malls.

This hotel has a great location, a great view of Qingdao CBD area and marina view.

The intercontinental qingdao is in a beautiful location overlooking the marina where the olympics were held.

The hotel has a rooftop bar called Venue, it has amazing views of downtown and Marina city.

This hotel is very well priced and is located close to the marina and serves a very good continental breakfast.

It is right on the harbor and across the street from some decent western food options.

Surrounded by bars and restaurants it is right on the marina with great places to walk, shop and eat close by.

Pros: Loved the view of the city and Marina from the hotel room.

The view is second to none and we took loads of pictures of the colourful buildings and marina.

The location is right on the Olympic Marina.

but it’s has the pretty good service from Allen and Iris of guest relation department, they show me how important of my stay experience for this hotel, I have to say that it’s a really goooooood idea for this hotel , the view of executive club also fantastic!!!!!!!

Splendid view and non-compromised food; the GRO/Jessica offered us the superb service and carefully look after our living & demands.

Staff at this hotel - and I mean all staff,  from the amiable and highly professional General Manager to every other manager, the chamber maids, restaurant and club lounge staff and porters,  leave no stone unturned to anticipate guest preferences and  provide excellent service.

but this trip the hotel truly exceeded itself for its service and its support.

Excellent service, great VIP lounge, fantastic service, comfortable beds, and bedding make this a hotel that I would stay at again when in the area.

Intercontinental hotel is one of the best hotel in Qingdao.the staff is so kindly and professional, I would like to thanks front office team and lounge team, they made my day!Luna is one of the staff gave me very good memory, she is so knowledgable and thoughtful, she always anticipate what we need and give us fabulous service.

I am always impressed with their customer service, which is the reason why I continue to stay at this hotel when I visit Qingdao.

I must highlight the outstanding service we received from the staff at the T-Lounge.

Nevertheless, the service of the staff was generally acceptable.

Great location, excellent and professional service gave me good memory in Qingdao.

I don't think they ever left the room, except to smoke by the elevator.

Air-conditioning switched off in most places which, therefore, emphasises the stench of stale smoke mixed in with body odour.

The self-service breakfast was also not up to standard, I had more than 2 times taking the wrong sauce (soya sauce and dark vinegar) as there is no indication telling you what they are and I had to smell them to find out.

The employees there are very kind and helpful.

Me and my girlfriend were rudely approached by the two ladies at the hostess desk, they were removed from their lazyness on mobile and had to attend us, so the tone was very offset.

Excellent location with good hygiene concept - unfortunately, some basic / standard processes did not work out very well during my stay including eg check-in and check-out times too long, order process / follow-up in breakfast facility, ageing of room not as in line with expectations

Warm and caring hospitality that goes beyond expectation.

And finally, a nice gentleman from the coffee station helped me to find my omelette from the live cooking station.

However it is the staff at Intercontinental Qingdao that add that extra dimension to the stay - they are superbly trained and so helpful and obliging.

Positive point: good service from the staff, front office,ADD,espacially housekeeping maid, they greeting me all the time and always try their best to make us stay comfortable.

One special greeting to Miss Michelle Wang, always very active and quick to fix any request!!!

Reception and support from local staff is outstanding.

She was still energetic and welcoming to answer my questions

Ella at the front desk was friendly and helpful to give suggestions and experienced at work.

Heating malfunctioning, even after "repair".

The hotel only provides heat in the winter; no air conditioning.

Air con is not that strong and the room feels a bit stuffy.

I'm not a fan of how Corporate Hyatt treats their customers

However, it does suffer from a lack of individual A/C, as the heating/cooling is controlled centrally which is fine for most of the year not in March and September when the seasons change and one day its hot the next its cold.

What I like is you can have breakfast either in the lounge or buffet breakfast.

It's a nice trip to Hyatt Regency Qingdao at this time, clean room, nice hotel lobby, good breakfast.

Unique place at Shilaoren beach, after some year still fresh look in the rooms, rich breakfast for locals and westerners.

The room is very big and well facilitated with international power adaptor very convenient for foreign guests, the breakfast is very good, and the staff very kind.

Helpful and courteous staff with a wide selection of breakfast items.

The morning buffet is fantastic and everyone can enjoy the free food provided by the hotel.Absolutely I will choose this hotel in the future if I travel here again.

Mr Christoper WON, Food and Beverages Manager, is responsible for one of the best Chinese restaurants we know (Dong Hai 88).

I had a Chinese dinner with more than 20 people in the main restaurant, the biggest round table I saw in China.

Buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of western and Chinese food.

We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant and it was very enjoyable.

My trip was with my family just awesome easy access to beach the hotel all room are cleaned the restaurant market cafe , bay lounge and club all are awesome .

Everything was fantastic in the club lounge.

I would recommend the club lounge, it has a beautiful view and patio on the 21st floor.

The lack of English ability, poor customer service and overpriced menu items make this a hotel to not remember.

The customer service was slightly lacking at this Hyatt.

At the end of our stay, we were given a bottle of red wine and a fruit basket, a very welcoming gesture by the top management to show appreciation to their loyal customers.

It is very clean with helpful and friendly staff.

The Hyatt Recency Qingdao offer amazing views, friendly staff and the Qingdao beach feel.

The hotel is clean, offers the amenities you would expect at a major hotel and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Besides the facility and room, I was impressed by Malva Li(Li Huan Huan)’s service , the receptionist in Regency Club.She is  friendly, helpful and always smiling.

Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly that works at this hotel.

Imagine my frustration when I woke up the next morning, only to discover that I had paid 100% the price
