It was a pleasure cruise - the opulence of the lobby, to the space of the room, the conviviality & ergonomics of the breakfast dining area (and exclusivity of the valley wing), was catered to ensure that guests could indulge in comfort.

The lounge offers a spectacular sea view and a delicious dinner from 5:30PM - 7:30PM.

but they did their best to accommodate, and the breakfast was really impressive - served at the table and with a lot of choices.

From packing a to-go breakfast for her when she slept in our first morning, to delivering a cake to our room with 4 other staff while singing happy birthday, he consistently found creative ways to delight us.

Breakfast buffet offered an extensive selection of Western and Chinese offerings.

They even provide us take away breakfast as we are rushing to the airport.

Breakfast was well catered at the Horizon Club.

The club level service is what we will come back for - their first class greeting when you depart from the elevator, their attention to detail while serving you, to remembering what you like to drink for breakfast and for cocktail hour too.

Thank you again for staying in a First Rate Hotel , The staff were excellent , the hotel was excellent, the facilities again excellent, the room was superb ( thought it might be better than excellent ) .The food available suited all discerning tastes Breakfast and evening meals.

We took an upgraded room on a higher floor which gave us access to a very comfortable lounge where breakfast could be served as well as a buffet in the evenings, tea coffee and alcoholic drinks were also available around the clock.

We had our breakfast at the executive lounge and one of the staff Chelsea was very friendly.

From the first evening of arrival and visit to the lounge, Ms. Chelsea Wang has made every effort to make me feel welcome and subsequent encounter over breakfast service made my morning.

The foyer and decor overall are great however just a couple of things to take notice of: Breakfast is great

Furthermore, their breakfast at cafe Yum has good spread of food and all of our family enjoyed ourselves.

A group of my friends and I chose to reserve several rooms in the Valley Wing that had access to the Club Lounge so that we could celebrate a dear friend's birthday.

Their club lounge was unfortunately close during our visit, so that is a reason to come back.

We stayed in Valley wing and enjoyed using the pool, the club lounge, and making use of dining credit in Flying Catch restaurant.

We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the Club Lounge.

We upgraded our room to the executive club wing to enjoy more space in the room, complementary extra bed for the kid, and the access to the club lounge.

Club Lounge is also good with lots of space to dine and sit.

The staff in the executive lounge really made the experience what it was, as the food was a bit average and not very hot.

She ask me whether need a glass of hot milk as she saw me feel cold.

Unfortunately lifts and corridors smelt of smoke and hot breakfast items lukewarm and congealed.

but for some reason Chinese buffets seem to have issues keeping their food properly hot.

Many local and international dishes were presented together with varieties of hot and cold beverages.

- We enjoyed a very memorable dinner at the Flying Catch restaurant, they have some great wines and nicely prepared food.

This is my first experience of upgrading the room service.

Special mention to Service Manager Karl Pang from Cafe Yum, who saw I was in a rush to finish my breakfast and head for an urgent meeting; he quickly went out of the way to pack me a generous amount of smoked salmon to carry my way.

They helped us with special demands, tours, extra wishes for westerners (especially food related)  and provide small presents while creating special moments.

The food, service, and location is great for most needs in Qingdao.

We reserved 5 hotel rooms and when we arrived there were personal notes, fruit, and beers in the room upon arrival.

It is also located near to the May 4th square subway and next to a huge shopping mall with plenty of food options and indoor playground.

Many restaurants and sights, including the 4th of May monument, the Olympic sailing arena from 2008 and more were within walking distance, and the hotel is also conveniently located just next to a subway station.

The location of Shangri-La Hotel is just perfect for shopping (MIXC Shopping Mall萬象城 , just next door), dining(plenty of restaurants in the shopping mall) and visiting Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center(帆船中心) and Oceanfront Plaza(五四廣場) just a few blocks away, for splendid night light show.

My son was not feeling well having fever and Mr. Ryan and his team send congee, noodles and milk to us.

Chef Jill Ge often came out  to check on the food, and on the preferences of the guests.

Ambiance, food, live music, the personnel headed by the Service Manager, Becky Zhu, makes it all the better.

In fact, one of the best salads I have ever eaten there.

The Lobby bar and Chinese restaurant are great and the rooms are super comfortable.

To my surprise, Una upgraded our room  and gave us beautiful roses, which made us happy all day.

The room is clean and tidy, and the soundproofing is also very good.

It has a large room, Located at quiet place, convenient communication.

It was a fantastic family stay at Shangri-La Qingdao, from the warm welcome of The Valley Wing team to the great attentive Housekeeping team which set up a kids room which our son loved !

We have chosen a room in the Valley wing and it was a good decision.

Our rooms were clean and spacious and the rest of the hotel was lovely.

I had a giant room with a beautiful view.

Check-in was efficient and the rooms were ready.

We organised it with Kenta who has offered as the best value room for our family.

Totally recommended to take the room with lounge access.

Our room was spacious and comfortable - and I loved the bath-room.

My room in Valley Wing was quite, elegant, and chic, and has a nice ocean view.

Room was Shangri-La standard, spacious, luxurious & comfortable with good amenities.

Rooms clean and comfortable, staff had good English and were very friendly.

The Duty manager York, and the Service Manager Rachel Chu at the Valley Wing did a great job to ensure that I have the same high standard service as I did at other hotels.

The service is phenomenal, the F&B offering is very good.

Good service , listen to the guest carefully.

The personnel was engaged and helpful as ever, perfect service!

The highlight of our stay were the absolute warm hearted and service orientated hotel staff.

although some probably prefer to be served, it was self service which I really liked.

This was mainly due to the extraordinary service provided by the staff in this hotel.

The Shangri-La in Qingdao went far beyond a very good 5 Star service.

The Shangri-La is known as a beautiful hotel with outstanding service,

but I have never experienced service that so exceeded my expectations as what we received in our recent stay at the Shangri-La Qingdao.

All the staff including the Customer Service, manager and especially Resident Manager Mr Ryan that make our stay so happy.

There are metro station, bus stop, huge shopping mall and many nice restaurants.

The location is very convenient, close to shopping malls and the sea.

The seashore is within the walking distance, and there is a great shopping mall next to it.

Between there is a variety of choices of food right behind the Hotels where shopping malls are just 5 minutes walk away.

The location of the hotel is excellent with city centre, beach and popular shopping malls all within walking distance.

And there is a huge shopping mall across the street and May 4th square is a short walk away, as is the ocean front.

Hotel was conveniently located right next to MixC, a big shopping mall with lotsa eateries and shops.

This hotel is connected to a big modern shopping mall as well which is very convenient.

Near of hotel you can find everything you can need and a big shopping mall is in front.

Location wise it's right next to a big shopping mall and a short walk to May 4 Square and the water, so very convenient.

I could mention that I like the beautiful yacht club near by and the new shopping mall next door

Upon farewell, we were even presented with a unique Shangri La scent in a gift box by the Hotel Manager, so very thoughtful and kind.

All employees were very polite, and helpful.

The facilities are modern and clean, the staff are excellent and anticipating every need .

The manager Mr Goto was fab, he greeted us every time he saw us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

Starting from welcoming us when we arrived at the hotel with our car.

We can only say thank you to the whole Shangri-La team.

Every single person went out of their way to be helpful and kind.

We have stayed at the Shangri-La several times and always been treated exceptionally well.

but that night it went above anything we had experienced because of the staffs desire to make it a memorable time.

The staff in the lounge were polite, generous, and spoke good English.

We, my wife and me really appreciated the treatment we experienced in Qingdao Shangri-La (sometimes a bit too good), as a guest, who years ago came frequently and now once again for a nice Holiday week in this beautiful city.

We are a western expat family of four who traveled the world and have tons of experience in with hotels especially in 4 and 5 Star hotels and resorts.

This was by far the best hotel experience I have had in Qingdao and in China.

This stay, like my previous experience, was pleasant and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a fuss-free and relaxing time in Qingdao.

The Village Lounge of the Shangri-La Hotel is an excellent complement to an overall great esperim experience of a 5 stars hotel.

The front desk staff and their manager-Mr Ryan and Mr Kento were very friendly and shown their hospitality well.

The experience can be quite challenging and QingDao Shangrila has definitely delivered.

We were very impressed by their warm hospitality - Kenta Goto, Manager in Valley Wing, little Liu, bell boy we met on our first arrival, Ella, Katy, Sunny and Crystal in Club Lounge, Liu Xiuyu in swimming pool and Jiang Bo Cui, cleaning lady for our room, etc.

Miss Zhu’s friendly, warmful and effective help and support give us an unforgettable and comfortable experience in Qing Dao.

I always have a excellent experience when I am at the Shangri La in Qingdao.

Even after I said it was OK and I would like to wait and see whether the noice would be gone at night, York tried to get another room for me.

I had to wait for more than an hour for my room on arrival

however, I had to wait a while and actually had to show my booking with the "breakfast included", as they made clear to me that breakfast was not included.

I had asked for a lavender pillow and it was there waiting for me.

Heating malfunctioning, even after "repair".

The hotel only provides heat in the winter; no air conditioning.

Air con is not that strong and the room feels a bit stuffy.

I'm not a fan of how Corporate Hyatt treats their customers

However, it does suffer from a lack of individual A/C, as the heating/cooling is controlled centrally which is fine for most of the year not in March and September when the seasons change and one day its hot the next its cold.

Located right at the beach, with great option for a marvelous morning jog at the 40km water front promenade.

My trip was with my family just awesome easy access to beach the hotel all room are cleaned the restaurant market cafe , bay lounge and club all are awesome .

It is located nearby a famous and beautiful beach with free parking.

Unique place at Shilaoren beach, after some year still fresh look in the rooms, rich breakfast for locals and westerners.

In the winter, if you get a beach view and the sun makes it through the pollution, your room will be HOT.

I stayed in the winter time and it was nice to walk along the beach

I would definitely recommend the Hyatt to visitors to Qingdao the view of beach is wonderful and the service is very helpful.

The hotel is located on the shore of the sea in Qingdao City.

I enjoyed the easy access to the shoreline and parks and walked for hours along the coast and to the sculpture park.

It is in a nice beachfront location with great views.

It had a great view of the beach with dozens and dozens of people swimming.

Right on the beach and close to shopping and restaurants.

We also worked out in the gym and walked on the beach.

It was a wonderful experience to spend a few days in Hyatt Qingdao which is situated in the seaside resort with direct access to the beach with a 25 KM board walk from the est coastal shoreline all the way to the westend.

Excellent location by the beach and a highly recommended property.

What I like is you can have breakfast either in the lounge or buffet breakfast.

It's a nice trip to Hyatt Regency Qingdao at this time, clean room, nice hotel lobby, good breakfast.

The room is very big and well facilitated with international power adaptor very convenient for foreign guests, the breakfast is very good, and the staff very kind.

Helpful and courteous staff with a wide selection of breakfast items.

The morning buffet is fantastic and everyone can enjoy the free food provided by the hotel.Absolutely I will choose this hotel in the future if I travel here again.

Qingdao was our first stop in China, so we really enjoyed our lovely room, and the excellent breakfast.

It has delicious restaurants, Spa and easy beach access.

Mr Christoper WON, Food and Beverages Manager, is responsible for one of the best Chinese restaurants we know (Dong Hai 88).

I had a Chinese dinner with more than 20 people in the main restaurant, the biggest round table I saw in China.

Buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of western and Chinese food.

We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant and it was very enjoyable.

Everything was fantastic in the club lounge.

I would recommend the club lounge, it has a beautiful view and patio on the 21st floor.

The lack of English ability, poor customer service and overpriced menu items make this a hotel to not remember.

The customer service was slightly lacking at this Hyatt.

At the end of our stay, we were given a bottle of red wine and a fruit basket, a very welcoming gesture by the top management to show appreciation to their loyal customers.

Imagine my frustration when I woke up the next morning, only to discover that I had paid 100% the price

It has enough food for a dinner if you like.

Can recommend dinner or a drink and snack at the Bebe restaurant .

And most importantly my dear friend Mr. Joseph Zhang make our trip full fill, only for him it was so amazing starting from room upgrade food each and everything he well planned for me.

The restaurant, Donghai 88, offers food that is average for a 4/5 star hotel, with some local flavors.

In the restaurant they even went out and got me yogurt without sugar!

Rooms are huge and immaculate, and facilities are adequate - with a spa, fitness room, heated pool and many in hotel restaurants.

You have to have the dumpling/wonton soup.

It’s a huge resort with many restaurants and activities.

The food and selection at the club level were outstanding.

At night the club room had good food and wine as well as Chinese appetizers we could order off the menu.

Again thanks a lot Mr. Joseph Zhang and also Mr. James assistant room director who helped me a lot.

Clean and spacious room with a very comfortable bed.

From the window of my room, I can have a very good view of the  sea and the mountains far away.

My room had a great view and all the modern amenities one could hope for.

The room had everything you would want in a 5-star hotel.

The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and recently renovated it seemed.

The views are stunning and the rooms and amenities are great.

The rooms and food are both great for the international traveler who is visiting China.

Stayed for 3 days with family in well proportioned rooms with a view of the beach and sea.

Suggested to do well planing & communicated with staff earlier before you arrive.
