It was a pleasure cruise - the opulence of the lobby, to the space of the room, the conviviality & ergonomics of the breakfast dining area (and exclusivity of the valley wing), was catered to ensure that guests could indulge in comfort.

The lounge offers a spectacular sea view and a delicious dinner from 5:30PM - 7:30PM.

but they did their best to accommodate, and the breakfast was really impressive - served at the table and with a lot of choices.

From packing a to-go breakfast for her when she slept in our first morning, to delivering a cake to our room with 4 other staff while singing happy birthday, he consistently found creative ways to delight us.

Breakfast buffet offered an extensive selection of Western and Chinese offerings.

They even provide us take away breakfast as we are rushing to the airport.

Breakfast was well catered at the Horizon Club.

The club level service is what we will come back for - their first class greeting when you depart from the elevator, their attention to detail while serving you, to remembering what you like to drink for breakfast and for cocktail hour too.

Thank you again for staying in a First Rate Hotel , The staff were excellent , the hotel was excellent, the facilities again excellent, the room was superb ( thought it might be better than excellent ) .The food available suited all discerning tastes Breakfast and evening meals.

We took an upgraded room on a higher floor which gave us access to a very comfortable lounge where breakfast could be served as well as a buffet in the evenings, tea coffee and alcoholic drinks were also available around the clock.

We had our breakfast at the executive lounge and one of the staff Chelsea was very friendly.

From the first evening of arrival and visit to the lounge, Ms. Chelsea Wang has made every effort to make me feel welcome and subsequent encounter over breakfast service made my morning.

Furthermore, their breakfast at cafe Yum has good spread of food and all of our family enjoyed ourselves.

A group of my friends and I chose to reserve several rooms in the Valley Wing that had access to the Club Lounge so that we could celebrate a dear friend's birthday.

Their club lounge was unfortunately close during our visit, so that is a reason to come back.

We stayed in Valley wing and enjoyed using the pool, the club lounge, and making use of dining credit in Flying Catch restaurant.

We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the Club Lounge.

We upgraded our room to the executive club wing to enjoy more space in the room, complementary extra bed for the kid, and the access to the club lounge.

Club Lounge is also good with lots of space to dine and sit.

The staff in the executive lounge really made the experience what it was, as the food was a bit average and not very hot.

She ask me whether need a glass of hot milk as she saw me feel cold.

Unfortunately lifts and corridors smelt of smoke and hot breakfast items lukewarm and congealed.

but for some reason Chinese buffets seem to have issues keeping their food properly hot.

Many local and international dishes were presented together with varieties of hot and cold beverages.

There are metro station, bus stop, huge shopping mall and many nice restaurants.

The location is very convenient, close to shopping malls and the sea.

It is also located near to the May 4th square subway and next to a huge shopping mall with plenty of food options and indoor playground.

The seashore is within the walking distance, and there is a great shopping mall next to it.

Between there is a variety of choices of food right behind the Hotels where shopping malls are just 5 minutes walk away.

The location of the hotel is excellent with city centre, beach and popular shopping malls all within walking distance.

And there is a huge shopping mall across the street and May 4th square is a short walk away, as is the ocean front.

Hotel was conveniently located right next to MixC, a big shopping mall with lotsa eateries and shops.

This hotel is connected to a big modern shopping mall as well which is very convenient.

Near of hotel you can find everything you can need and a big shopping mall is in front.

Location wise it's right next to a big shopping mall and a short walk to May 4 Square and the water, so very convenient.

I could mention that I like the beautiful yacht club near by and the new shopping mall next door

But we enjoyed very much the hospitality of following persons as we met them most time: Front Office manager Anny Zhang,  Ms Viktoria from front office, Mr. Kenta, Ms Bella Liu.

We, my wife and me really appreciated the treatment we experienced in Qingdao Shangri-La (sometimes a bit too good), as a guest, who years ago came frequently and now once again for a nice Holiday week in this beautiful city.

We are a western expat family of four who traveled the world and have tons of experience in with hotels especially in 4 and 5 Star hotels and resorts.

This was by far the best hotel experience I have had in Qingdao and in China.

This stay, like my previous experience, was pleasant and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a fuss-free and relaxing time in Qingdao.

nevertheless can recognize the effort it takes to create a truly spectacular guest experience.

The Village Lounge of the Shangri-La Hotel is an excellent complement to an overall great esperim experience of a 5 stars hotel.

The front desk staff and their manager-Mr Ryan and Mr Kento were very friendly and shown their hospitality well.

The experience can be quite challenging and QingDao Shangrila has definitely delivered.

We were very impressed by their warm hospitality - Kenta Goto, Manager in Valley Wing, little Liu, bell boy we met on our first arrival, Ella, Katy, Sunny and Crystal in Club Lounge, Liu Xiuyu in swimming pool and Jiang Bo Cui, cleaning lady for our room, etc.

Miss Zhu’s friendly, warmful and effective help and support give us an unforgettable and comfortable experience in Qing Dao.

I always have a excellent experience when I am at the Shangri La in Qingdao.

Even after I said it was OK and I would like to wait and see whether the noice would be gone at night, York tried to get another room for me.

I had to wait for more than an hour for my room on arrival

however, I had to wait a while and actually had to show my booking with the "breakfast included", as they made clear to me that breakfast was not included.

I had asked for a lavender pillow and it was there waiting for me.

Heating malfunctioning, even after "repair".

The hotel only provides heat in the winter; no air conditioning.

Air con is not that strong and the room feels a bit stuffy.

I'm not a fan of how Corporate Hyatt treats their customers

However, it does suffer from a lack of individual A/C, as the heating/cooling is controlled centrally which is fine for most of the year not in March and September when the seasons change and one day its hot the next its cold.

What I like is you can have breakfast either in the lounge or buffet breakfast.

It's a nice trip to Hyatt Regency Qingdao at this time, clean room, nice hotel lobby, good breakfast.

Unique place at Shilaoren beach, after some year still fresh look in the rooms, rich breakfast for locals and westerners.

The room is very big and well facilitated with international power adaptor very convenient for foreign guests, the breakfast is very good, and the staff very kind.

The morning buffet is fantastic and everyone can enjoy the free food provided by the hotel.Absolutely I will choose this hotel in the future if I travel here again.

Mr Christoper WON, Food and Beverages Manager, is responsible for one of the best Chinese restaurants we know (Dong Hai 88).

I had a Chinese dinner with more than 20 people in the main restaurant, the biggest round table I saw in China.

Buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of western and Chinese food.

We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant and it was very enjoyable.

My trip was with my family just awesome easy access to beach the hotel all room are cleaned the restaurant market cafe , bay lounge and club all are awesome .

Everything was fantastic in the club lounge.

I would recommend the club lounge, it has a beautiful view and patio on the 21st floor.

The lack of English ability, poor customer service and overpriced menu items make this a hotel to not remember.

The customer service was slightly lacking at this Hyatt.

At the end of our stay, we were given a bottle of red wine and a fruit basket, a very welcoming gesture by the top management to show appreciation to their loyal customers.

Imagine my frustration when I woke up the next morning, only to discover that I had paid 100% the price

Breakfast was very good and allowed for a number of needs whether Chinese or European including English.

The room also had a nice shower with plentiful thick towels.

Also very attentive staff, good buffet, lovely spot by ocean, boardwalk, park.

but enough space for one or two.The first 5 star hotel that didn't ask for a deposit and the 4 drinks in the fridge were free.The breakfast was some of the best.

Just remember to include breakfast in your package it's worth every penny.

The buffet restaurants provided a good variety of food,

but this was by far the best, and although the location is a little further out of town, the walk along the coast towards the sailing center after a delicious breakfast was fantastic.

If you don't want to get up early for their buffet, you can totally feed yourself a nice late-breakfast with the eateries provided in the room.

though you are among friends,  the breakfast selection was huge and apart from a little language hiccup with my waiter I have to say I had a very enjoyable start to my day.

On the evening I checked in,  I left a bread roll which I took from the plane, on the desk in my room.

Room at a musty smell , very dated and the bed was weird.

The fumes in my room seemed to emanate from the air conditioning unit.

In fact the entire wing #3 of the hotel smelled awful.

Else, the room appears to be smoke free (a rarity in PRChina).

The morning buffet breakfast was less than desirable.

Food quality and choice of the breakfast are very average, at most a 3-star quality of a hotel in Mainland China.

The breakfast is amazing, the staff friendly thought very little English.

The food in the Chinese restaurant is superb, a skilful and impressive display of local regional cuisines and others, with magnificent ingredients, including the freshest seafood.

Breakfast was also good with cooked choices available on order.

but there were cereals and omelettes as well as some pastries for westerners.

The Chinese Restaurant serves delicious dinner.

Breakfast has been mentioned in the other reviews, there is a large choice, majority Chinese (after all, it is in China!!

The food provided by her Chinese restaurant where we had breakfast every morning were very delicious.

A 80 years old castle (the hotel is newest than the Governor residence) top of a green hill 15 minutes away by walk to beaches and 10 minutes away from a temple with view all over the Qingdao bay.

It's within the compound of the Former German Governor's Residence.

The hotel is in the grounds of what was the residence of the governor when Qingdao was a Gereman concession.

The big plus of this hotel is the location, next to the former German governor's residence with nice gardens and views.

In the same beautiful park setting is the former German Governor's residence - well worth paying the money to tour.

It was actually the former Guest House, office and residence of former German Governor of Qingdao.

The building is old, and as such our first room had a bit of a plumbing problem that led to foul odor in the room.

Besides, there were bad smell coming from the drainage in the bathroom.

The tour will take you to the Qingdao TV Tower.

There are some leaflets in the hotel reception about the bus routes and various other things, partly in English, copies of Redstar magazine – an ex-pat magazine with reviews, listings, map etc.

but it is only a hundred metres walk through the park to the German style "Ratskeller" which is good value
Do not miss the tour round the house - Mao and Chiang both stayed here, there is a good history of the place and the shop has the badges of every English Premier League club on salle in case you gave yours away!

Lunch, entrance fee to the TV Tower, boat ride and cable car ride are not included in the travel package.

although for western style restaurants you have to travel a bit further.

I believe that the hotel should change their travel partner, otherwise it will only spoil their reputation.

And the cherry on top was the AC didn’t work and whatever they said they are doing to fix it it never went down under 25 degrees Celsius.

Worst of all was air-condition which was not well- functioning and temperatures would never go down 24°C.

Issues with the AC were solved immediately.

I stayed at this hotel in 2016 and had issues with the AC i decided to give it another try after a few years.

but the aircon does not work: the rooms wont cool down.

Maybe because smoking was permitted in the hallway and something went wrong with the ventilation.

The food in the "Club Room" was very nice for breakfast and their evening happy hour.

There was a good spread of western and local Chinese food for breakfast which we couldn't sample all in two days.

The breakfast buffet was rich, offering mostly local (warm) dishes and a small (but well) selection of continental breakfast.

Breakfast in the morning has a wide choice of food for everybody's taste.

Ya Japanese buffet is your first choice when you have a business lunch meeting.It is quite and classic.

I was delighted when they told me they did breakfast too

So after that my stay was wonderful.

If you have a chance, go and eat at the breakfast buffet.

Not so good: Most employees hardly speak any english
Bad: Breakfast is very disappointing, both in the main area as well as in the lounge, old and dry bread, cold eggs etc.

I expect the Sheraton to do something to shape up the place

There is also a good Japanese restaurant located at the ground level.

The Japanese Restaurant is great which offers an a la carte, all you can eat option at a reasonable price.

We ate at the Japanese’s restoration in the hotel which was good.

The area around the hotel is nice to go for a walk, good Japanese restaurant at 100 meter distance

Staff in the lounge is very friendly and tapas are good.

Club lounge has great staff like Amanda Wang.

Alice from the lounge gives exceptionally outstanding service and is a pleasure to strike a casual conversation with.

The only really positive in this hotel, is their service, which was very good, especially at their club lounge.

It was a nice stay at Sheraton, never failed me and gave best service wherever I go.

Hotel room wifi was good and I had no problems with room service or laundry service during my stay.

Delighted to have great comfort and service during my stay at this prestigious hotel with spacious room and upper floor to see the nice skyline of Qingtao City especially at night.Keep up the great work

Food and service was awesome and receiving is also fantastic and all the Business class people visit this hotel very frequently and it is a proffered hotel at this town.
