The fact that is not within immediate walking distance from any restaurant or the center of the city cuts both ways: a pain in the back of the Patagonian winds are blowing; or a way to force you to walk for some 20' and burn off a few calories before dinner.

All (apart from a very effective Chris) were untrained with little English language skills.

You are at the far end of the bay from the cruise ships and their thousand tourists and lots of buses.

The hotel is situated about 2 kilometres from the centre of Puerto Madyrn, a pretty beach town in the northern part of Patagonia.

The hotel is located a little off the main strip (5 minute drive to downtown) right in front of the beach.

The staff helped us to rent a good car with fair price, advice us about the places, the beach and restaurant.

The hotel is a little further down the beach from the other hotels, restaurants, and shops so it’s nice and quiet which we enjoyed.

Book in advance the stunning private pool overlooking the bay.

Very clean, tidy, quiet, gorgeous huge beach and close to Peninsula Valdes.

it is a very modern looking hotel overlooking the beach.

The kids enjoyed being across the road from the beach,

but a very nice building and views to the bay.

About a 10 minute walk to where beach gets better.

We could see the whole bay from our bed.This must be perfect during whale season .

What a wonderful hotel, nicely equipped, spotless rooms with a great view over the bay.

Spent long weekend (March 21 - 24 inclusive) in Territorio Hotel, booked the Territorio Suite, best i9n Hotel (650 square feet) with a wonderful view of the beach.

All rooms face the bay so they all have great views.

At weekends, when we were there, the beach is very popular and crowded and the roads along it are very congested.

The team on reception are warm friendly and give practical help - “can we check you in for your flights to Mendoza?” said Marina - thanks! 2.

Positive, nicely decorated, clean, very friendly staffs, nice views, good variety of food items for breakfast.

He had really good advice about dining, activities and sites and presented them all in a super friendly and engaging way, going well beyond normal hotel service.

The peoples are very friendly at the reception and in the room service.

I researched hotels in Puerto Madryn before our trip and none of them came across as super special or memorable, and ended up choosing the Hotel Territorio and am so glad we did!

The Puerto Valdes Nature Reserve is a must.

Puerto Madryn is very far from the Pampas -- where the famous bife de chorizo comes from -- and the capital, Buenos Aires with its famous steak-houses.

hotel was very well located outside of noisy downtown Puerto Madryn.

but the staff had no idea how to make a guest feel welcomed.

The real highlight of the stay for us was Fernando, the front desk manager.

We were attended by ihefront desk and they prompt helped us with the taxi (we didn't have the current ).

Incredible value, excellent, attentive, knowledgable and kind service.

The staff have been wonderfully helpful and polite.

The staff were all lovely, and some spoke a little English.

Although slightly far from downtown , it is a very modern and comfortable property with beautiful rooms overlooking the ocean and very helpful service.

I also appreciated that the staff provided us with a small breakfast outside the usual hours.

Staff were super helpful, nothing was too much trouble from organising taxis to sorting out a spa experience.

The hotel has cool places to sit and talk or have a drink after long days out looking at penguins and sea lions.

Attractive location on the sea front with sweeping view.

Our rooms had a water view (I think all of the hotel rooms have water views).

All the rooms face the gulf and our room at 3rd floor gave us an excellent view of Golfo Nuevo.

We were 2 adults, 2 children, our triple room was enormous with sea views from bedroom and bathroom.

please enjoy and relax as you have a perfect view on the Atlantic Ocean while sipping on a sparkling wine del fin del mondo . enjoy!

Bathroom ok.  Breakfast is delicious with a personal touch and a very nice view.

They also offer bike rentals - which are reasonably priced (good bikes).

The staff and family that runs the place is friendly and helpful and not pushing on selling tours or renting bikes

They also rent bikes (30 pesos the hour or 150 pesos a day), which we were delighted to use around town.

We were in a 4 people dorm facing the courtyard, room was very quiet and clean. Staff is helpful and can book tours for you, they recommend walks and bike rental is also available (100 peso for the full day when we were there)

Prior to arriving, the owner Gabriel sent me an email asking if I required an airport transfer, then upon arrival welcomed me, gave me a map, explained where everything was (e.g: supermarket, banks, etc), went over what there is to see and do in Puerto Madryn and also helped book a tour for me.

We stayed here while on transit between Puerto Piramides and Rio Gallagos.

The room was really nice and really good value for Puerto Madryn.

We were 6 girls on a trip to Puerto Madryn, and really were not disappointed with this hostel, especially as the two guys at the reception gave us great advice in terms of what to see, what to do, where to eat, or where to go for a drink.

Very good personal, helped us very much and answered a lot of questions about Puerto Madryn.

Directly with the hostel you can book a lot of tour around Puerto Madryn with pick up.

It was cheap, for us one of the cheapest we had during our 1,5 month of travelling from ushuaia up to Puerto madryn.

I had some problems with doing my diving course and they really helped me to get along in Puerto Madryn as well as are organizing tours for you and whenever there is a problem you really can count on them that they will listen to you and try their best to help you.

but thanks to our "safe haven" with Maru and Gabriel we have fond memories of that time in Puerto Madryn, we even got taxi transports ordered as needed, and we took home all the excellent mental pictures of happy whales swimming in the bay just in front of the hostel, the flock of wild flamingoes coming in and going again, sea lions and other marine mammals, and, what is most, some true Argentine way of life.

The owners were also very kind and patient - and allowed me to leave my backpack there whilst waiting for my bus later in the day (after checkout).

The hostel is very clean, quiet and has a cosy family atmosphere - the owners actually live on site.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with good personal lockers; the owners were polite and helpful, and organised all our tours during our stay and got us a discount on one; the kitchen is really well-equipped and the best we've used whilst travelling so that it felt like cooking at home; the communal areas are generous and comfortable.

The couple that run the hostel were helpful and accommodating.

Gabi and Malu are both warm and helpful, I booked some tours with them, great ones and price is the most reasonable in town.

The staff was always helpful when it came to organizing activities.

but he helped us book our whale watching day tour and had a VERY accurate weather forecast so we could be confident our boat tour wouldn’t be cancelled due to the wind.

Firstly the location of the hostel was awesome and just next to the bus terminal of puerto Madryn, The house is really nice and cozy with an ethnic touch, Very good heating in the rooms and in living as well, Everything close by and just a walk away, The sea is near as well, The breakfast is awesome and enough for a regular daily start.

It is just the best place you could stay at Puerto Madryn:
- Great localisation: 1 min from the bus station, 2 min from the main square, 5 from the beach
- Incredible staff: Vincent is one of the most dedicated person we have met so far

We arrived in Puerto Madryn during a sandstorm.

The hostel is very nice and next to the center of Puerto Madryn (beach in 10minutes by foot).

this is the perfect place to stay in puerto madryn, very good location, front of the bus station and 5 blocks to the beach.

(Do a day trip to Puerto Pirámides in whale season to see lots of southern right whales. Also try the best hot chocolate in South America in a little café there- it's red, close to beach and offers seafood.)

This hostal is very central in Puerto Madryn, near the busstation, a supermarket and restaurants and bars.

Honestly, being a young female solo traveler, I could not recommend a better hostel than Casa de Tournes!

It is one of the best hostels we have stayed in during our 3month travel in Argentina.

It´s a great location close to the bus terminal and close to the sea and they give you all the information you need for your travels.

although it was difficult to regulate the air conditioning equipment.

The air con had to be turned on by reception as first night didn’t realise it wasn’t working.

The window handle was somewhat broken and could not close it properly while it was freezing outside.

There is no air/con so we found it very stuffy and had to keep the balcony doors open, which was loud.

but the carpet did loook a bit grubby.Separate room for toilet and shower but the sink unit was sited in the bedroom by the door.

But only bread/ toast, processed ham and cheese slices for those without sweet tooth; no air con before December - a little issue if you struggle in heat as I do!

even though the air conditioning was installed the hotel decided not to operate it at night.
