The fact that is not within immediate walking distance from any restaurant or the center of the city cuts both ways: a pain in the back of the Patagonian winds are blowing; or a way to force you to walk for some 20' and burn off a few calories before dinner.

All (apart from a very effective Chris) were untrained with little English language skills.

You are at the far end of the bay from the cruise ships and their thousand tourists and lots of buses.

The hotel is situated about 2 kilometres from the centre of Puerto Madyrn, a pretty beach town in the northern part of Patagonia.

The hotel is located a little off the main strip (5 minute drive to downtown) right in front of the beach.

The staff helped us to rent a good car with fair price, advice us about the places, the beach and restaurant.

The hotel is a little further down the beach from the other hotels, restaurants, and shops so it’s nice and quiet which we enjoyed.

Book in advance the stunning private pool overlooking the bay.

Very clean, tidy, quiet, gorgeous huge beach and close to Peninsula Valdes.

it is a very modern looking hotel overlooking the beach.

The kids enjoyed being across the road from the beach,

but a very nice building and views to the bay.

About a 10 minute walk to where beach gets better.

We could see the whole bay from our bed.This must be perfect during whale season .

What a wonderful hotel, nicely equipped, spotless rooms with a great view over the bay.

Spent long weekend (March 21 - 24 inclusive) in Territorio Hotel, booked the Territorio Suite, best i9n Hotel (650 square feet) with a wonderful view of the beach.

All rooms face the bay so they all have great views.

At weekends, when we were there, the beach is very popular and crowded and the roads along it are very congested.

Breakfast buffet conversely was excellent.

We traveled a lot, most hotel, at this level will provide breakfast box for early travelers.

Breakfast was great and featured a wide range of breads, cakes, fruit, juices, yogurts, cereals, ham and cheese etc.

A typical Argentinian breakfast (continental with lots of sweets) that even includes scrambled eggs is included.

but nevertheless, they invited us to have breakfast.

Breakfast was a lovely change from the usual Argentinian breakfast, we loved the scrambled eggs especially, and there was a good variety for the children.

I researched hotels in Puerto Madryn before our trip and none of them came across as super special or memorable, and ended up choosing the Hotel Territorio and am so glad we did!

If you’re going to Puerto Madryn, we recommend staying at the Hotel Territorio!

Probably one of the best (if not te best) hotels in Puerto Madryn.

The hotel is 3.2 km (2 miles) from the centre of Puerto Madryn.

Overall, it's a good choice to stay in Puerto Madryin.

There is a beach area almost opposite the hotel which extends right around the bay on which Puerto Madryn stands

but inside the staff were friendly and there was some recognition that they were in the hospitality business – suggest anyone looking to stay in Puerto Madryn stay  there !

Puerto Madryn is very far from the Pampas -- where the famous bife de chorizo comes from -- and the capital, Buenos Aires with its famous steak-houses.

hotel was very well located outside of noisy downtown Puerto Madryn.

The hotel has cool places to sit and talk or have a drink after long days out looking at penguins and sea lions.

Attractive location on the sea front with sweeping view.

Positive, nicely decorated, clean, very friendly staffs, nice views, good variety of food items for breakfast.

Our rooms had a water view (I think all of the hotel rooms have water views).

All the rooms face the gulf and our room at 3rd floor gave us an excellent view of Golfo Nuevo.

We were 2 adults, 2 children, our triple room was enormous with sea views from bedroom and bathroom.

Although slightly far from downtown , it is a very modern and comfortable property with beautiful rooms overlooking the ocean and very helpful service.

please enjoy and relax as you have a perfect view on the Atlantic Ocean while sipping on a sparkling wine del fin del mondo . enjoy!

although it was difficult to regulate the air conditioning equipment.

The air con had to be turned on by reception as first night didn’t realise it wasn’t working.

The window handle was somewhat broken and could not close it properly while it was freezing outside.

There is no air/con so we found it very stuffy and had to keep the balcony doors open, which was loud.

but the carpet did loook a bit grubby.Separate room for toilet and shower but the sink unit was sited in the bedroom by the door.

But only bread/ toast, processed ham and cheese slices for those without sweet tooth; no air con before December - a little issue if you struggle in heat as I do!

After traveling 7000 km through the Argentine and Chilean Patagonia and heading to Buenos Aires through National Route 3, we arrived at Puerto Madryn and stayed at the Pirén Hotel.

we are traveling as family (kids 9, 7, 5) and stayed 1 week in puerto madryn.

My wife and I were for a short vacation to Puerto Madryn, to take advantage of the whale and penguin season.

Puerto madryn is a nice place with Welsh Tourists , Green tourists or explorers on the way to the arctic.

Although I must admit the hotel offers an amazing view of the ocean and you can feast your eyes during the whale seasons in Puerto Madryn, the hotel practically does not offer anything else.

I recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Puerto Madryn.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Piren in Puerto Madryn.

We stayed in Puerto Madryn for 2 nights and our travel agency recommended this small boutique hotel, which is in a very central location, overlooking the beach/sea of the Golfo Nuevo

Location:  This is the main attraction of staying at Piren - you can walk into town and the beach.

Puerto Madryn's tourism is based on the guided tours to Peninsula Valdez and Punto Tombo, to see all the marine and terrestrial wildlife--whates, penguins, seals, guanacos, hawks, and the ostrich-like choiques.

How to get there:
We arrived by bus in Puerto Madryn from Cordoba.

Overall, a very good hotel in Puerto Madryn.

The one-hour drive to Puerto Madryn was was made far easier by having pre-arranged for transport (recommended).

The hotel is great, with a great position on Puerto Madryn main street.

Unfortunately we booked a room with sea view not expecting a insufficient insulation.

Good bed, comfortable room, with only one problem: Bathtub is in a high position, so it can be hard to access for people with limited or restricted movements.

The downside to this: no wonderful Oceanview, the upside: no noise from the traffic.

Those we needed to open window to clear the air, those despite 7 floors up it was extremely noisy with traffic.

We had a room with sea view and it is noisy.

This didn't bother us as we heard no noises.

We asked if we could get a refund and there wasn't a hint of doubt, even when we had paid by CC and in installments.

Worst breakfast I have ever had and as had booked on a bed and breakfast plan I felt totally ripped off.

I arrived to Puerto Madryn without any previous research or reservation and I just walked in to the first hotel I saw, because I really needed good wi-fi and laundry service.

Before booking this hotel we had been vacillating between several hotels in the Puerto Madryn area.

Be careful: we reserved a suite and they gave us a normal room without saying it and without reducing us the fare.

When asking the responsible person what sense a reservation makes in his opinion, we got a harsh and unfriendly answer that he can do nothing about it.

The advantage is that it is near restaurants, shops and the "boardwalk".

The location is perfect opposite the sea and close to all the shops and restaurants.

- Great localisation: 1 min from the bus station, 2 min from the main square, 5 from the beach

We arrived in Puerto Madryn during a sandstorm.

The hostel is very nice and next to the center of Puerto Madryn (beach in 10minutes by foot).

He is very friendly, nearly always there and knows Puerto Madryn very well!

this is the perfect place to stay in puerto madryn, very good location, front of the bus station and 5 blocks to the beach.

(Do a day trip to Puerto Pirámides in whale season to see lots of southern right whales. Also try the best hot chocolate in South America in a little café there- it's red, close to beach and offers seafood.)

This hostal is very central in Puerto Madryn, near the busstation, a supermarket and restaurants and bars.

Vincent was very helpful and friendly and I would most definitely recommend this hostel for a stay in Puerto Madryn.

Next day we went to Puerto Piramide for whale watching.

We're planning on going back to Puerto Madryn just for the hostel ambiance.

In the beautiful Patagonian city of Puerto Madryn there is a great new hostel.

Vincent is a charming owner who was very helpful and put us in contact with other guests going on nearby tours.

Vincent booked all our tours with no hassle whatsoever.

You could always have it even before leaving for some tours that picked you up very early.

The owners are amazingly helpful, with lots of advice and tips about the area and helping to book tours.

Has a kitchen you can freely use and a very nice common space in which travellers stay pretty much, exchanging experiences and stories.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed during all my travels! OK, it's in the middle of town, so it can't beat a hostel which has a good view and is situated an a cliff ;-)

Would definitely recommend this hostel to couples, groups and solo travellers.

If you ever feel homesick on your travels, visiting La Casa de Tounens will heal you.

Honestly, being a young female solo traveler, I could not recommend a better hostel than Casa de Tournes!

One small window opened onto a flat roof overlooking inner walls and with no A/C  and warm weather it was a bit 'airless'.

You should know that the hotel doesn’t have A/C.

I’m not sure if the hotel has air conditioning , or for that matter if its ever needed.

There is no AC, we opened the tiny windows and were bothered by mosquitoes.

The rooms are old-fashioned, dark, no air-conditioning, with dirty carpet and walls

Rooms too hot at night - no air conditioning so no sleep

Plus, the rooms are small and odd, ours had a tiny window, no circulation and looked at a brick wall.

It has no air conditioning only ceiling fans.

There is a nice lounge area and also a bar with snacks and it lies close to the town centre and harbour.

It is just a block away from the pier and the sea front is just across the street.

Because we were to start our Antarctica trip from the Puerto Madryn pier, on the “ Plancius”, our travelagent advised this family run hotel on the seaside.

The location of the hotel is very central and opposite the beautiful bay of Puerto Madryn.

The Hotel Bahia Nueva, is a great little hotel, opposite the picturesque bay.

Nueva Bahia hotel is just across the road from the beach, so beautiful sea views on the eastern side.

It is located on the second floor and overlooks the bay.

Its right opposite the pier of puerto madryn and one if the best restaurants in town is round the corner. (Estella).
