All the meals were excellent as was the service by the lovely young staff.

but we were happy to eat in our room that night and for the remaining two.

In the morning at checkout our account showed an extra R139 for our dinner.

Given it’s out of town unless you have transport you will eat in.

Kingklip for starter and a steak for mains, both extremely  good.

Service on the terrace was appalling and similarly in their restaurant.

The breakfast and dinner were perfectly ok

Supper and breakfast were freshly cooked and tasty.

We dined on Ostrich which was glorious, and the service was superb.

Spacious room with everything you want, excellent food and service, peaceful shady garden and terraces to loiter whilst waiting for an onward connection.

Dinner was excellent and as it was my birthday I was given a complimentary bottle of bubbly .

The food offer at breakfast and dinner was good.

We were looked after like royalty, ate amazing food, drank lovely wine and only wished we could have stayed longer.

We spent 2 nights at Costello di Monte and everything from location, rooms , service and food was excellent .

Our room had a large balcony for us to sit out on and admire the wonderful view.The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious with plenty of choice and the gardens were very well kept.

Greeted as soon as we step out of our taxi and suitcases were taken to our room.

Went up to the room to get our things and when we came down they said “we figured it out - our chef can take you to the mall and pick you up when you’re done!”  Cool - are you sure?

This was clearly formerly the home of someone very wealthy and hence the rooms were enormous.

We were in the room behind the concierge which had these amazingly high ceilings and nice a bathroom.

The room was beautiful and spacious with every facility you could need.

They then hastily typed up a welcoming letter that we received after we have been in the room for a while.

He handles the check in process after showing you your room.

Our welcome was lovely, the views and sunset great from the tower, the rooms well appointed and fully quipped, not to mention beautifully designed and decorated.

The big surprise came when we were taken to our room which turned out to be the luxurious Presidential Suite!

Although our room was very nice, it does need upgrading.

The room was large with a great balcony and outside sitting area.

The views were spectacular from our room (and from all) and everything about it was comfort and luxury.

The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms large and comfortable.

The room was excellent with spacious bathroom.

The food and service at the dining room was exceptional.

The welcoming was five star and we were shown to our room (No.6).

On arrival we were greeted most cordially and seated on the terrace with a drink until our room was ready for occupation.

Our room was huge and we loved the private terrace - the views from there and the main terrace were a bonus.

I have never seen such a large bathroom and we had our own terrace to sit on and take in the views.

We wanted some light lunch so because of the function we dined on a terrace.

Multiple terraces, shaded balconies, tree shaded garden tables and chairs, pool side sun lounges all conspire to make you wish to stay longer.

We enjoyed the magnificent view from the tower terrace and the quiet surroundings.

The building itself is stunning and it’s situation offers amazing views of Pretoria particularly from the rooftop terrace.

We were warmly greeted and shown us to our very large room opening onto a front terrace.

The hotel is beautifully furnished with lots of spaces to relax, including several terraces.

We stayed in a Terrace Room with a bed that could have slept 6 comfortably, a huge bath and shower that could fit two and a wonderful balcony with chairs where we sat out to have coffee and just be quiet.

but had a very pleasant breakfast on the terrace.

One might easily mistake the 360 degree view from the rooftop terrace for one such in any part of Tuscany.

We stayed here for the night after landing in Johannesburg and before boarding the blue train.

We stayed a night at this hotel  before we caught the Blue Train the next day .

We were on the Blue Train and this place was on the itinery at the end of the trip.

It was booked for us by the Blue Train as the stop over before our journey to Cape Town.

We stayed prior to the Blue Train and were not disappointed, the food was very good and the room was beautiful.

He cooked us Lamb on the final night we were going to the Blue Train. Impressive.

We were given a tour of the hotel including the magnificent roof area and the 360 degree view of Pretoria.

A little shame that this beautiful room was overlooking a parking lot!

The property is very attractive, and is in a beautiful location with lovely views over the city and hills.

It is in a fabulous location with amazing views.

We went onto our own balcony and the view was stunning, far reaching views which are made better because the hotel is quite elevated.

This time of year it's the Jacaranda tree that fills the beautiful view from atop the roof of Castello di Monte.

Just be careful when driving out of the Hotel as as the main road is busy.

The car exit and entrance is located in a very busy road and therefore makes it difficult to exit during rush hour.

To be busy typing on your mobile while a client is talking not even looking and go to the extent of telling the client that you are multitasking is rather odd and rude

but be very carefull when crossing as it is a very busy road even late into the night.

The hotel rooms are clean and modern and the staff friendly.

It is clean, quite cheap, and good for a short stay.

Attend to the flies during breakfast and allow the guest to eat properly without continuously removing plates while they are eating.

Our tea tray wasn't refilled and only 2 fresh towels were placed in our room the next day.

The staff at the hotel failed to monitor the coffee, plates, etc.

There was no cups, no milk, no cutlery at breakfast and it took them forever to sort it out.

At least people like me who don't eat bacon, eggs and sausages were well covered during breakfast with variety of vegetarian dishes.

Pork had an unpleasant smell on the plate, it was not surprising when it had aftertaste.

Its centrally located which was perfect for us.

Centrally located with pick n pay hypermarket across the road, banks and ATMs and restaurants and fast food all within walking distance.The room was pleasant and you don't have to run off cold water for 10 mins to have a hot shower as South Africa is currently experiencing drought.

Impressed the hotel was centrally located for most embassies.
