After a shaving cut resulted in a blood soiled towel, that towel was folded and replaced on the towel rack three days running even after it was left on the floor for swap-out per the room card's instruction.

We were still charged other amounts for the same rooms.

With one night stay you can do nothing with it as if A/C starts to work not earlier than you inserted power card on your return to the room, one expects to have a room cooler in another couple of hours and it’s absolutely pointless to ask reception to deal with the problem at 2 or 3 am , especially when you are planning to get up around 6 .

Totally non-smoking, scent-free linens, wooden key cards and plant motif.

After checking out there is no charge for leaving any luggage prior to departure for airport etc.

Also I arrange for a hotel pick up, with an English speaker driver, the price was supposed to be charged to the room, I ended up with a person who could not speak English, who asked me to pay in CZK, which refused.

That said there is electric charging as well so again another benefit from the hotel.

When we checked out we were then charged for breakfast for 2 days and I was told I had breakfast when I hadn’t!

Our room had 3 USB A charging points and I think a further 2/3 USB C charging points.

The room card key is made out of wood and I like that.

The excuse from the reception desk and the manager was that there were concerts in Prague duirng these days and they gave us a voucher for two free drinks that they wanted to charge us after we left.

One thing when we arrived when checking in we were informed our card details were only to check in, and no money would be deducted until our day of departure.

There are no single use plastic in the rooms, even the key card was not plastic and there are recycling bins along every corridor.

Their layout and functionality is great with small things such as having USB-C plugs to charge iPads and latest generation iPhones on the side of each bed is great addition + the suitcase storage well thought out.

The tub is taller then most US hotel tubs so it may be hard to step in and out of and may not be easy for people who have balance or other issues.

The annoying things:  

Key cards having to be reprogrammed every day!

How could be a breakfast charges  when  u need to buy  a voucher  at the reception before having  breakfast at the restaurant.

Additionally I feel being treated like a gangster due to extra reservations on my credit card.

Be advised that if you need to park a car there is a $25.00 charge.

My only critical comment is regarding the Bistro, or actually the young woman who appeared to be in charge.

Rooms clean, tidy more than adequate for a week long stay.

Check in was very efficient, the rooms were very clean and ultra modern.

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were clean and stylish.

There was a nice clean room and very good breakfest, which I enjoyed every day :) I approved the hotel.

I was guest of botanique in august 2023 with my family for vacation, excellent experience, near the old city center, good service and staff, perfect room very cleanliness, fully conditioned, excellent breakfast sweet and salad, parking available, right price, very raccomanded.

Beds comfortable, overall a nice sized and clean room.

but carpet started one room beyond us so not too bad.

Also the carpet in the bedroom is very old and looks quiet used.

Quite dirty carpets in the rooms and no slippers can be the only negatives about this hotel.

Carpet was not vacuumed as evidenced by the crumbs that remained all week.

The carpet is also quite dirty in places.

but a little dated and the carpet was really dirty!

but the carpets were disgusting to the point where you wiped your feet upon leaving the room and constantly wore slippers whilst in it.

The carpets have not been washed for ages.

The carpet was dirty, bed covers had cigarette burns and in the hallway I could smell cigarette smoke.

The carpet is BADLY stained, the small TV set, flimsy and dated cabinet was not expected in 4 star hotel.

Rooms were spacious and on first inspection very clean.However I don't think carpet was hoovered as I found toe nail cuttings on the floor (disgusting).

The carpet could do with a deep clean or new carpet put in as it was very dirty.

No room views , the room carpet was full of stains and smells like drainage.

Oh, and did I mention the installed hairdryer didn't work and the carpets outside the rooms in the hallways were dirty when we arrived and had not been vacuumed in the 2 nights we were there.

The carpet is stained and there are cobwebs in the room.

Some minor items: the bathroom had no lock and the drainage in the bathtub/shower needed fixing, carpet looked dirty -

I don’t even know from where to start.from the ac and the heat that didn’t  work and we had a cold room with minus celcius outside?

The hotel room safe was locked and there was no AC.

The air con didn’t work in the room so it was always boiling hot and the pillows were way too soft.

Whatever temperature the air con was set at, it made no difference to the room temp, even with me turning the radiator off.

I tried and tried to adjust my air con, and it was set at 17.5 degrees

Clean room, if there was any negative it was that we couldn’t turn the heating in the room down

The room itself had some issues too, the shower was broken and couldnt be adjusted, the fan / air conditioning didn't work, nor did the thermometer.

Air-conditioning was very welcome and not really noisy either.

Rooms are a bit small, air conditioning is patchy and our team's room were not set up as we had requested for 6 months.

The room was small and the air con ironically didn’t work well so we were cooped up and sweating!

and the exhaust fan seems too small or not working properly.

The thermostat in the room didn’t seem to work at all. 5.

There were a couple of negatives, one being the air conditioning in the room.

Overall really nice hotel only complaint was the room was too hot because the A/C didn’t work properly abd had to get a member of staff to come and open a window to cool the room down.

I booked one with air conditioning and was told it didn't work and to open a window.

but it was too hot and we couldn't adjust the temperature on air conditioner.

Only downfall for me is were the rooms were very hot and turning the thermostat right down didn't seem to make a difference so had to open both Windows on an evening.

The air conditioning was switched off so we had to open windows which was annoying as we could smell the smoke in our rooms (people smoking at designated smoking areas) and noise at night.

When we arrived mid afternoon all our rooms were stiflingly hot, the temperature on my AC controller read 28c, trying to lower the temperature was fruitless as it appeared that any attempted changes would be overridden.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly.

One of the best hotels we went and honestly I would just say that everything was amazing like food is tasty , rooms are clean, stuff and and mangers really helpful especially Mr.Pedro with his tips and information which gave us.

The room was lovely, we requested a twin room with it being myself and my friend travelling, and they very happily helped us out with that, the room was very clean and couldn’t fault it.

The receptionists always smile and help when needed, the room is clean and the bed comfy and the breakfast is very tasty. That's why :)

Had one main meal there and service was very very slow and they weren't very busy.

The only criticism I have is that the staff were very slow to clear tables at breakfast.

I did find that often the waiting staff at breakfast were a little slow noticing when someone sat down, if they had coffee.

The hotel is about a 30 min (slow walk) down the river to the old town which we did there and back on a daily basis.

The only complaint I had was that the elevators were slow and cumbersome to use.

However, even with how small the room was - it was fine with us.

I was stunned also by the size of the room in which I must say I never expected the size of it for just one person.. Everything in the room you need such as Mini bar, tea and coffee making, wifi etc,etc and again room very clean and the bathroom is just as good with bath, shower and everything you need.

It was nice and clean and my room was lovely, slept so well.

The room was spotless, cleaners came into the room every day to change towels and make the bed, comfy bed and pillows!

Stay only slightly let down by housekeeping wanting to service room before 8.15 one morning and the unwelcome attitude of the lady on the side door to the restaurant for breakfast on the Monday morning.

So I wonder why there was not any peephole in the hotel Door.

however, was when they placed a note on my bed , demanding I report to front desk immediately, when apparently they have mistaken me for some other guests, and they did that when a “do not disturb “ sign was placed on the door knob.

BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF SOUNDPROOFING:
I literally was sleeping in my room with my gf after ny eve, and from 8 am the housekeeping was knocking loudly to all the doors, because of streams the doors were closing so loudly, like somebody was heating with the head that door.

Cons: Skylight rooms have a roller blind which, when pulled down at night or opened in the morning sounds like a drill next door and wakens anyone who may be sleeping.

Worst of all, this place subscribes to the idea that bathroom doors are somehow old-fashioned, and has put a sliding, not-really-closing frosted glass panels there instead.

The lift door was constantly opening and closing between the shouting.

If I can give you advice, because I was here many times in different room types: take the room with the black bathroom (original rooms) - is bigger and has normal door to the bathroom.

In that time our room was barged in to by housekeeping twice, prior to 930am with knocks on the door at least twice a day to try to also gain access, the lady servicing the mini bar also barged in to our room after knocking once while I was in the shower.

Shower featured tub with high step to enter and only one-half of clear door that did not prevent water from splashing on floor.

The hotel seems to know this is an issue because they warn you to make sure your door is locked when you leave.

Just go out the back door and your on the main street

Like a few other hotels, the gasket at the bottom of this door didn't make a tight seal, and the first time we used the shower, the floor near the tub got wet.

- Construction (early stage Aug. 2019) right next door every day of the week 7AM to 7PM
- No hair conditioner, seriously first night I couldn't find and thought house keeper have forgotten so called and got it.

but a bit small, and good WI-FI service
- Everything is a bit smaller than usual (Furniture, doors etc)
- The staff are helpful

We went out at 2:00pm and return at 6:00pm and found out our door was OPENED (the staff left already as the house keeping time ends at 6).

The shower door only covers about 30% of the bath, so water just pours out onto the floor.

but the door to the room is quite thin so hallway noise was a problem at times.

however gets bland and repetitive usual offering for European hotel, gets very noisy at night and early morning with slamming doors and noisy corridors.

Only issue i had with this hotel is the slow lifts, they take ages to open & close doors, and even the staff along with other guests have to wait long to use the slow lifts.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, a very comfortable temperature and excellent bed.

And, my room was always very well cleaned and maintained, throughout my stay!

The rooms were clean and fresh, the buffet breakfast was lovely, fresh waffles and omelette ( the lovely lady from the Ukraine always with a smile and "thank you, bon appetite") makes great omelettes!
