The breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, omelettes to order.

I complained again in the morning, this time asking to speak to a Manager.

Our concern:
Our concern that we hope management will consider is the Fire Safety- a room key required to exit room- this is against the fire code in our country (Canada) as the door should allow easy egress by the guest, without requiring a key for exit in an emergency situation for example a fire.

Please management consider making the facilities available in the rooms.

If you want your visit to be a happy and memorable one, stay elsewhere, this hotel's management needs to do a better job of sending their front lobby staffers to hospitality training.

The management & the staff should be very proud of themselves.

I did get a kick out of the manager's responses to the negative reviews.

If she had been a better manager she could have easily handled the problem by treating us sympathetically and apologizing.

Finally, I think there must of been a change of management as some of the older reviews here seem to describe a different hotel?

It was off a side street so it was nice and quiet.

The old town is only a 10 minute walk away and there are a lot of side streets you can investigate and you will find lots of bars and restaurants local to the hotel.

The location is super as well: close to the inner city and the street is ver safe (Czech Police offices on both sides of the street).

Lovely, gracious, historic property located on side street.

But as it's on a side street, it is very quiet and when it's so busy in the Old Town, it's a welcome bit of calm just around the corner.

It's location is ideal, situated just a 5 minute walk from the Old Town while being tucked away in a quiet (but not in the least intimidating) side street which enabled very easy access to all areas of Prague on foot while enjoying a peaceful night's sleep.

The Unitas is located off a side street directly across from a police station, so it is very quiet, It is a short five minute walk to the Charles Bridge.

Small dvd library was useful and there was even a small play area for young children which was immediately adjacent to a large common, quiet sitting area with a piano.

We had been upgraded to a suite type room, with a nice sitting area.

Our suite had a microwave and refrigerator and extra sink within an extra sitting area.

Breakfast is wonderful, after finding your way through the maze of hallways through cute kids' play rooms and relaxing-looking sitting areas.

A one bed flat more like -  with an entrance area, sitting area and a really big room!

The room we had, 210 was large with a separate small sitting area with a small kitchenette- micro wave, fridge kettle.

however the main area was large enough that the sitting area felt separate from the sleeping area.

but there is a small seating area in the hotel reception and drinks are available to buy there; we had  a couple of drinks in the lobby bar each night when we returned from our evening out and it was relaxed and comfortable.

There's so many sitting areas around and a coffee and tea section.

There is a TV/DVD in the room, sitting area, spacious bathroom with toiletries and quality towels.

There was a large sitting area with a couch, 2 chairs, a TV with a DVD player and a large desk and the bedroom with a king bed and a single bed and another TV.

As for the hotel in general, it is beautiful with many open seating areas as well as a quaint breakfast room that provides a wide range of free breakfast options (Omelettes, Yogurt, Fruit, Cereal, etc.).

Free wi-fi in the rooms and also a computer for sharing in the lobby, and some nice sitting areas in the interesting hotel layout (spread across a former convent).

We were upgraded to a suite which was really nice, it had a small sitting area, very large bedroom and large bathroom.

We had two single beds pushed together, which were incredibly comfortable, a desk, seating area, tv, dvd player (with dvd's to borrow at reception), a fridge and a wardrobe.

After a long day sightseeing and miles of walking, it was so nice to return back to the hotel and gather in the courtyard.

After a rewarding walk or tour it is a pleasure to return to Unitas Hotel and it's pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely hotel well situated for walking tours of the old town and with close access to trams.

The Hotel was really handy for all our sightseeing and we walked from the Hotel everyday to all the tourist spots we wanted to visit.

They recommended some nice local restaurants, made reservations on a busy Saturday night, and got us a walking tour when our attempt at a free walking tour failed (canceled due to insufficient customers).

They helped us book a walking route of Prague.

Literally two streets over from the main tourist walking route means EVERYTHING is easily accessible,

The hotel staff were helpful recommending and booking a walking tour, making restaurant suggestions etc.

We were traveling with some friends who were staying at another hotel and only had one full day in Prague so Petra recommended a walking tour with the Prague All Inclusive Day Tour (Orange Umbrella).

Also, I highly recommend taking a "free" walking tour from old town square - it is donation only - we "tipped" 15 euro - best tour we took on the trip, not much walking, lots of information.

We prebookd a private walking tour with Caput Regni Private Tours(sperate review).

A walking tour guide (well worth it - Prague on Foot in Wenceslas Sq) who grew up in Prague told us the one cab company she would recommend was Triple A.

Best bit about the breakfast the egg lady who makes you eggs on request with any topping of your choice.

Breakfast couldn't be faulted,fantastic selection with something for everyone.

Facilities were great, breakfast outstanding and staff very friendly & helpful.

We were booked for bed and breakfast, our room was wonderful ,we even had a small balcony and underfloor heating in the bathroom which was lovely after a shower not having to stand on a cold ceramic floor.

We travelled to Prague airport, bought tickets from the Prague tourist office at 32ck each, boarded the 100 airport bus to Zlinic,  changed to the yellow metro line to Florenc, which is the closest station a few minutes walk to the hotel.

Hotel is centrally located within a minute or two of Florenc metro with bus and tram stops outside.

It is a short walk 15 minute from the Old Town Square and a two minute walk to the Florenc metro station.

Originally chosen for its proximity to the bus station (Florenc) this hotel was great in so many more ways.

The hotel itself is located about a 5 minute walk from Florenc metro station and tickets are available from the newsagents in the concorse area, please note this MUST be validated in the yellow ticket stamp machine in the area because we were checked twice by inspectors.

100 bus from the airport to Zlicin bus station then metro - B line (yellow) to Florenc - Exit the metro at McDonalds, cross the road and the hotel is on the left - 5 minute walk max.

At the same time, if staying at this hotel, you're only a few steps away from Florenc and within walking distance of the main train station.

The back entrance of the hotel was opposite Florenc Bus Station which provided a cheap and convenient bus transfer to the airport with RegioJet.

It’s located by a two minute walk to the Florenc Metro station (which also means it has easy access to both the city centre and the airport).

I loved the robot that carried the plates away and the pianist playing in the breakfast room one morning was a really nice addition.

One morning we were there we had a lovely musical accompaniment from a pianist and every day there was a robot helping with the clearing away of dishes.

Excellent location to see Prague; fantastic accommodations (big rooms, for Europe, great beds, absolutely wonderful included breakfast with live music).

We even had a gentleman playing the most lovely music Sunday on the piano.

Great location for metro, trams etc.We were able to check in at 12 which was great as we had a very early flight out.

The tram and bus stop is located right outside the hotel which makes it easy to travel around Prague.

All in all the hotel is in a perfect location, good transport nearby, good restaurants if you don’t want to go into the old town on an evening, Just hugely let down with such poor WIFI.

however, was when they placed a note on my bed , demanding I report to front desk immediately, when apparently they have mistaken me for some other guests, and they did that when a “do not disturb “ sign was placed on the door knob.

BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF SOUNDPROOFING:
I literally was sleeping in my room with my gf after ny eve, and from 8 am the housekeeping was knocking loudly to all the doors, because of streams the doors were closing so loudly, like somebody was heating with the head that door.

Cons: Skylight rooms have a roller blind which, when pulled down at night or opened in the morning sounds like a drill next door and wakens anyone who may be sleeping.

Worst of all, this place subscribes to the idea that bathroom doors are somehow old-fashioned, and has put a sliding, not-really-closing frosted glass panels there instead.

The lift door was constantly opening and closing between the shouting.

If I can give you advice, because I was here many times in different room types: take the room with the black bathroom (original rooms) - is bigger and has normal door to the bathroom.

In that time our room was barged in to by housekeeping twice, prior to 930am with knocks on the door at least twice a day to try to also gain access, the lady servicing the mini bar also barged in to our room after knocking once while I was in the shower.

Shower featured tub with high step to enter and only one-half of clear door that did not prevent water from splashing on floor.

The hotel seems to know this is an issue because they warn you to make sure your door is locked when you leave.

Just go out the back door and your on the main street

Like a few other hotels, the gasket at the bottom of this door didn't make a tight seal, and the first time we used the shower, the floor near the tub got wet.

- Construction (early stage Aug. 2019) right next door every day of the week 7AM to 7PM
- No hair conditioner, seriously first night I couldn't find and thought house keeper have forgotten so called and got it.

but a bit small, and good WI-FI service
- Everything is a bit smaller than usual (Furniture, doors etc)
- The staff are helpful

We went out at 2:00pm and return at 6:00pm and found out our door was OPENED (the staff left already as the house keeping time ends at 6).

The shower door only covers about 30% of the bath, so water just pours out onto the floor.

but the door to the room is quite thin so hallway noise was a problem at times.

however gets bland and repetitive usual offering for European hotel, gets very noisy at night and early morning with slamming doors and noisy corridors.

Only issue i had with this hotel is the slow lifts, they take ages to open & close doors, and even the staff along with other guests have to wait long to use the slow lifts.

The reception was very friendly and helpful, providing information about things to do during our stay.

The reception staff are so welcoming and offer a friendly and professional service.

All the staff we encountered were very polite and friendly, a credit to the hotel!

This hotel has an excellent location, and the staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Have to say that in every interaction with the Czech people they were warm and friendly.
