The only "negative" is that they leave a bottle of Port in each room for guests and my wife liked it so much, she had we dram too many one night.

After attending a strenuous day at the university it was a pleasure to go back to the friendly hosts and comfortable room at the guesthouse.

As South Africans, we find that we expect a level of service in guest houses that is welcoming and friendly.

The low housings blend well into the lovely setting of a nice big garden which also has a small pool and nice shady areas where you can easily spend all your day reading under a tree,

My husband and I spent a weekend at Leopard lily and thoroughly enjoyed the warm and friendly service we were welcomed with.

At the top was a softly lit stoep area and the owner who met me with a welcoming smile despite it being after midnight.

I have everything I could need - desk, heated blanket, well equipped kitchenette, lovely bathroom and plenty of cupboard space!

This guesthouse is one of the very few in the Potchefstroom area that has a Wifi with a strongest reception in all thier rooms.

though I had stepped into another age with Italian prints on walls the colour of rum-raisin ice cream, and dark oak furniture.

(There is also a smaller table inside, so one could work even in inclement weather.)

This guest house is conveniently located and the owners have gone out of their way to make coming and going as easy as possible for the guests without comprising on safety.

Hannes, the owner, is incredibly helpful and accommodating of our needs (travelling with 2 kids under 2 is no easy feat).

It has a peaceful atmosphere and i have found the owners very helpful and accommodating: I travelled there all the way from Durban and they waited for me to book in,

I literally did not need to start my vehicle for the entire 2 weeks.

TV is limited to one set-top box and only one channel can be selected for the house.
