The room was very clean, nice white crisp linen and all the amenities necessary.

The double bed was luxurious and I had a really good sleep.

My room was always clean and Bennie and his staff members are always friendly and helpful.

The rooms are very neat and clean with modern decor.

Neither of them had warm water the evening, nor the following day.

Unfortunately I didn't have wifi reception in my room (only about 10m outside the room) and the shower didn't have cold water, which detracted from an otherwise comfortable stay.

however there was no hot water so it meant having a cold shower and shaving in the morning.

The shower mixer in our room was boiling hot in both the hot and cold positions and it took a while to figure out where the correct setting was.

I needed a bed and bathroom for an overnight stay, and the room served my needs perfectly.

but nice to go to the neat clean hotel, bedding was also warm and clean, room was just big enough for our family, good value for money and well priced for a busy festivle weekend, look forward to next year

Reception friendly, 2 adults and two children, we had a interlinking room which made it more spacious Rooms were clean, including linen and bathroom.

I had first book 1 room then phoned a couple of days later to change it to 2 twin rooms to have enough place for everyone which you guys did without any problems.

The best thing about this hotel is its location right next door to the Mooirivier Mall and 3km away from NWU Potchefstroom campus.

Rooms neat and this Road Lodge is adjacent to the Mooirivier Mall, with walking distance to movies, Restaurants and shopping.

The wifi connection was fantastic and the room clean and tidy.

You know what you are going to get with a road lodge, cheap, small rooms.

Whenever we travel somewhere we always see if there is one of the City Lodge group Hotels on our route for a sleep over, as they maintain a very good standard throughout the country.

We had to arrive at odd times,and at either very late or early times were accommodated with a smile and a packed breakfast at 4.30am!!!

Asked for an earlier check-in and was accommodated without any problems.

I do not think they should charge per room, if they are going to set a limit on the number of guests a room can accommodate and charge extra from there onwards.

The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable and not to mention the home like feeling you get.

Not knowing much about Potchefstroom as had only been there once before I wasn't certain where to book accommodation as we wanted something close to all amenities.

though after an enquiry we had understood that the bathroom would be ensuite, which it wasn't.

Although it has basic self-catering amenities - we decided to eat out because it wasn't comfortable.

The shower also was a disaster, the water pressure was way too strong and we couldn't close the taps, water just kept streaming out, soaking the bathroom and us.

There was enough space and the beds was comfortable.

It was quiet, and the sound of the fountain was heavenly.

Clean bedding, quiet vicinity and close to shops and malls.

A bonus was to have the beds made and kitchen cleaned each morning.

The outside lighting was disturbing at night.

Our stay was a bit uncomfortable because of the dim lighting in the room and the smallness of the parking area.

The only thing that comes to mind is the lighting and perhaps the location / availability of the electrical wall sockets.

Lighting by the Braai area needs attention.

The parking was a little cramped if all the cottages are fully booked and because of the recent rain in Potchefstroom the road to the guest house had some potholes.

Enjoyed staying there the only problem we had was the parking facilities, which is not a major issue, and easily sorted.

The parking area is also a bit cramped up trying to get in and out when other vehicles are parked inside.

This time around - when we went to bed we switched our air-con off, just to keep hearing the most annoying noise.

Although it was a very cold night, I not once was cold and I didn't even use the room heater.

but latest 15h00,Once in room switch aircon on it made a hell of a noise,Switch it off and open the windows,The mosquito took the room over.The next morning i reported the aircon ,did not show any interested,

The TV's are poor and the air-conditioner is very loud.

The channels on the TV did not work and after reading other reviews we did not even try the aircon.

TV set bluring most of the chanels and aircon unit not working properly.

However 2 minus points stand out- the air conditioner was just too loud for peaceful sleep and the dinner was absolutely unappealing so it was a blessing that one could hop across to the Mall for dinner.

I'm not normally disturbed by a/c or ventilation,

There is a part in the bathroom that has been dirty with watermarks and soap scum since my arrival,  not cleaned.

EVERY single time the bathroom is a mess with either a leaking toilet or leaking shower that all our towels must be used to dry the floor.

The rooms are very old, to have a shower you either need to be a contortionist or have skin that is as strong as steel.

The lady that booked us in (21/4/2019 at 19:00) was friendly and helpful.

With secure parking and a friendly reception staff the hotel is welcoming.

Fact is, hotel staff can sometimes be too friendly - in a PR hotel-ish kind of way.

I was quite surprised by this Hotel,founded in 2010 and already has 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, staff were very welcoming and friendly,rooms were clean and comfortable.

After a long trip, arrived to a warm welcome by the friendly reception staff.

The staff are very friendly and will try to meet your every need .Yes the rooms could do with a bit of updating and the hotel maintenance could be a bit better.The bedroom was comfortable and serviced daily, plenty of hot water .

I stayed here on a trip to Potchefstroom for a wedding, its a very modern hotel with friendly staff, reception seems a bit aloof at times, manager on duty is very helpfull!

Having said this I must commend the staff for their friendly demeanor, willingness to assist and ability to turn what could have been a dreary two days into an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful spacious rooms, lovely dinning, bar and socialising areas, friendly helpful staff, wifi, transport as required, fantastic shopping mall across the road, lots of fun and laughter!

Walking into the Hotel we were greeted friendly by the reception staff and were checked in very fast and with no hassle.

During our 15 day stay, we found all the staff extremely friendly and eager to please.

We had to leave at 7:00so at 6:45 I asked the receptionist if we could just have milk for coffee and also to eat cereal we didn’t want anybody to serve us, and had no interest in prepared meals.He didn’t do anything to help, I asked a lady outside the kitchen, while we were sitting at the table I could hear her ask somebody inside the kitchen, who then shouted at her repeatedly “those people are early”, everytime she tried to explain to him we only want milk.

but to my surprise it was in working condition and did have a little sound to it but not so that i can not sleep.

This is a university town and is fun and active with small restaurants and shops nearby

The food was mostly good all buffet style , I found it a bit odd at breakfast to find raw cherry tomatoes in with the cooked mushrooms .

Nice bar and restaurant and the breakfast were very good.

"Mike s Kitchen " is next door and the Mooi River shopping Mall is across the road where there are several restaurants and cafes .

We checked in after 10pm,  dinner was prepared and ready for us.

Breakfast was of a good variety with both hot meals to choose from as well as fresh fruits & cereals etc.

Situated alongside a great restaurant (Mike's Kitchen), and right across the road from a great mall (Mooirivier Mall).

There was always plenty of food on offer and there was a great selection catering for all desires.

After dinner wee had a few drinks at the Pitch and Putter bar and really enjoyed it.

The restaurant will suffer really badly as a chain steak house has opened just next door.

We also enjoyed using the in house bar and seating area for pre dinner drinks.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone all that you will experience is great staff good food and restful nights.

They charged me for dinner which i did not have  - Rather opted to take walk to Mall to enjoy dinner.

The location near the Mooiriver Mall and the restaurants there allows a good freedom of choice.

The hairdrier in the room keeps on over-heating and cutting out.

Clean and functional, the deco and the room fittings could do with some modernization and updating.
